Delicious, fresh breakfast, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere inside the cafe. Will definitely come back!

Attempted to go for lunch, as had heard good things. We placed an order for food and coffee, and after waiting 50 minutes checked in with the (admittedly friendly) staff to be told they they 'didn't have our order' - we ended up leaving. Unprofessional and disorganised - really disappointed.

Really good food plenty of options on the menu to cover all diets. Really looking forward to returning for the evening menu lots of Indian street food dishs/veggie curries on offer

Went for brunch and we had a breakfast and veggie breakfast. Both were very good! The quality was great, Well presented and tasty. The staff were attentive and the decor was cosy. Would go again.

My partner and I popped in completely impromptu after just wanting something to eat in Moseley. We loved the decor and cool vibe about the place. I liked that the menu was quite small and simple. We shared a vegetable biryani and some vegetables samosas and both were absolutely delicious. The waitress was very polite and attentive and we complimented the chef on the food. It was a little bit more than I expected to pay, but I suppose that's Moseley I guess. Overall and apart from that, we both loved it, would definitely recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

We landed in in this place by chance and we thought why not try the Indian breakfast. Picture looked great with a big bowl of chicken pea curry, raita and a lovely paratha. When they turned up they were nice enough but not like the picture. Somewhat smaller and the paratha was really dissapointing, more like a chapati, very little layering, flakiness or thickness. I wouldn't rush back, weirdly all the English breakfasts looked good!

Came here for dinner with my girlfriend, Indian food was delicious and service was very attentive & friendly, would highly recommend!

I was generally disappointed by my experiences of Lewis’s, which is now under new management. The place looks nice but that’s where the compliments end (and to be fair, that was pretty much all done by the previous management). There is a discretionary service charge of 15% which is significantly higher than most restaurants in the area. We went for the Indian dinner which was very underwhelming, bland and overpriced. We then decided to go back a few weeks later to give them a second chance and try their western breakfast. They got our orders wrong both times and the food itself was cold and greasy. My eggs were rubbery and over cooked and the lassi was very over-salted. I would not recommend the new Lewis’s.

Went to Lewis’s café with a bunch of friends, the food and the atmosphere and the staff, everything was amazing and would definitely go back.

The food was okay and arrived quickly, however, I was disappointed because the portions were very small for the price. I ordered the eggs royale and there were 2 tiny pieces of smoked salmon on the eggs, you can't even see the salmon in the photo 😔 the plate could have been garnished more possibly with more colour. The interior of the cafe was a bit muggy/stuffy. The experience was okay but could have been a lot better especially for the price of the food.

Some really tasty healthy options such as the meal I had in the picture. Coffee was great also and the staff were really friendly. The polish lady working the bar and front of house was really attentive and polite, I wouldn't hesitate to return here when in the area. 👌🏻

We chose here for breakfast fancying something a little different. Walking in there was a lot of space to sit and very very attentive staff . To drink we chose a mango lassi, matcha latte, fresh orange juice and a flat white. Everything was well made although the matcha latte was the nicest I'd had. For food my partner chose pesto baked eggs and myself paratha with paneer and chickpeas. The spices and flavours in both dishes were amazing. We both enjoyed our meals the only thing I would say again is the staff were very attentive we were probably asked how Everything was three times in a short space of time, I mean I rather that then not all :p

Amazing service, perfect coffee! They’re using Monmouth coffee and you can buy the beans there. I was trying the indian breakfast for the first time and was delicious, my partner had eggs royale which were cooked to perfection! Will definitely be going back in the evening to try out their new indian street food!

Great menu, great service under the new owners. We had the Pancakes which were great. I was being nosey and looking at everything that came out of the kitchen which looked and smelt great too! Would definitely be coming back!

The brioche french toast hamper was superb. Beautifully presented and packaged. Lovely attention to detail and every aspect tasted wonderful.

Fuimos a tomar un café media hora antes de la hora de cierre y la camarera nos hizo saber muy amablemente que tendríamos que salir en media hora, pero no nos hizo sentir apurados o como una molestia. Además de eso, nos dieron algunos pasteles gratis que no se habrían guardado hasta el día siguiente, ¡fue un toque encantador! Sin duda volveremos a desayunar.

La comida fue excelente en Lewis's. Sin embargo. Nunca en mi vida me había sentido tan molestado por un gerente que trabaja en un café. Asistí a Lewis's para almorzar con mi hermano y mi socio. El gerente nos saludó y nos mostró la mesa, nos explicó cómo hacer pedidos en la aplicación, etc. Su actitud fue realmente abrupta y molesta, casi como si encontrara nuestra presencia en su café una molestia total. Fue lo más extraño que he experimentado como cliente.Pedimos cafés y un desayuno e hicimos una nota en nuestro pedido de un desayuno para sustituir los huevos por tocino y el otro para sustituir el tomate por un hash brown. Bastante sencillo. El gerente se acercó con el recibo de la orden y estaba cuestionando lo que habíamos puesto en la nota y siguió levantando la voz. No entendí totalmente lo que estaba diciendo debido al hecho de que llevaba una máscara, había mucho ruido en el café y la forma en que hablaba parecía bastante agresiva, así que simplemente estuve de acuerdo con lo que estaba diciendo con la esperanza de que se fuera. nuestra mesa. Cuando llegó el desayuno, el mío no tenía huevos. Customer service was good even though it was quite a busy period for the staff, I had the Eggs Benedict and Avocado Smash. The Eggs Benedict was made to perfection and had to leave otherwise I would have ended up getting another, it was that good.

Amazing veggie breakfast menemem on the side and coffee for me. Pancakes, bacon, sausage on the side with hot choc for my 14 year old. YES......do go!

Visited Lewis’s for brunch on a Friday lunchtime in January after hearing much about it. I ordered the mixed berry French toast and it did not disappoint, it was cooked perfectly and the flavours complemented each other really well. I also tried the super duper smoothie which was really tasty and very filling. My boyfriend had the Lewis’s breakfast which was really fresh and a very generous portion. The food was all fairly priced for the quality and portion sizes, the service was also friendly and personal, a brilliant first visit and will certainly be visiting again soon.

Que hermoso lugar. Pasamos el domingo por la tarde en este café y quedé muy impresionado. Servicio muy amable y cálido, comida fresca y sabrosa con variedad libre y opciones orgánicas, catering para carnívoros, vegetarianos y veganos. No tienes muchos lugares así en Birmingham. Tomé café con leche de avena y estaba tan delicioso que simplemente tuve que pedir uno más. Para el almuerzo, tostadas francesas con bayas y yogur, tan delicioso. Definitivamente vamos a volver.

Popped in here for brunch. Food was amazing, freshly cooked and really beautifully presented. Excellent customer service and lost of help with ordering and allergy advice. Oh and rustic surroundings are good too. Definitely one to visit regularly.

Tenía una mañana libre para hacerme la MOT. Mi otra mitad y yo encontramos este lugar según lo recomendado por M&S cerca.Él es vegano y yo soy vegetariano. Mi otra mitad es quisquillosa, pero no quedaba nada en su plato. Bueno, para mí, la presentación de la comida fue simplemente hermosa. Las texturas y la combinación de cada componente se complementaron entre sí, desde el advocardo, las hojas de espinacas tiernas con aderezo, el huevo revuelto hasta el hash brown, el pan y la salsa marrón y más, todos fueron perfectos. Había una gran cantidad en términos de cantidad y la comida se producía localmente.Este fue un verdadero placer, muchas gracias.¡Recomendaría el desayuno vegetariano incluso a los que comen carne!

Having this place in our village is a privilege. The menu offers a great diversity of locally sourced fresh seasonal produce. Each order is cooked fresh, so when they are busy service is not the fastest.Today I opted for the Lewis's breakfast (minus tomatoes). It was lovely. Everything cooked just right.Friendly service and cool retro vibe with excellent choice of music match played over a Sonos system.

Absolutely loved dining here today, the food was perfect, the choice meet the expectations of a vegetarian diner as well as a gluten free one and more, staff were so friendly and helpful, loved my Lebanese chicken, if you fancy something fresh and different look no further!!! The pancakes and coffeee were amazing too!

The breakfast here is amazing. Everything on it is lovey even the mushrooms and tomatoes are cooked beautifully, these are normally an afterthought at other places. It is a bit expensive at £9.50 but I think well worth it. I’d prefer to pay £9.50 for high qualitative food cooked beautifully than £5-7 for basic cheap food. My wife normally never has sausages on a full English as she hates cheap sausages but loves the meat on the breakfast here. The staff are always friendly, the place is a bit small but they always try to accommodate us with our 4 yr old and 5 month old.

Had heard a lot about Lewis's but had not been to the old venue as it was always packed out! Now in larger premises opposite the old place we gave it a go. It is nicely fitted out and the people seemed friendly enough. Just had vegie breakfasts an tea and food was excellent. Certainly a nicer experience that your average greasy spoon (nothing wrong with greasy spoons!) but priceed a little higher so 4 stars rather than 5.

Used to go to the small Lewis next to Daniel's and since they moved to the bigger venue things have been a bit worse. Service..well..They try too hard but it is still a good place to have a quick bite. A bit expensive to my liking what they are offering now, almost £30 for breakfast

We made an online booking for a Saturday evening expecting a Lebanese menu like we have enjoyed in the past. We arrived to find the place empty and a very average menu being offered to us which is nothing like what we have enjoyed in the past! Sadly we said no thanks and left. I think it’s time Lewis’s let people know online that the evening Lebanese food is no longer available and not to bother making a booking. All very disappointing and a waste of a trip to Moseley

I have eaten at Lewis’s (the old venue) many times for brunch & a few times on an evening for lovely Lebanese food. As we haven’t been since they’ve moved I made an online booking for my partner & I on Friday 12th July. We arrived for our reservation at 8.30pm to find the restaurant locked, a member of staff who saw us having difficulty came & unlocked the door to inform us that they no longer do the Lebanese evenings & that the online system accidentally allowed us to book. In my opinion they should of contacted us rather waiting for us to arrive & as it was Friday evening it was difficult for us to find a table somewhere else resulting in us eating really late at night.

I woke up this morning wanting pancakes, bacon & maple syrup with a decent coffee. Quick google suggested Lewis’s. The mobile website wouldn’t load the menus, but other reviews & photos seemed promising... And we weren’t disappointed! Arrived about 11am, got table for 2 straight away. Really good coffee, menu stuffed with delicious options & pretty quick service. 2 x pancakes, 1 x side order scrambled eggs & 3 x coffees was just under £30. Will definitely be going back.

The Lewis's breakfast/brunch had great sausages and bacon and poached eggs beautifully cooked. Usually there is something on a breakfast plate that disappoints but here every element was well cooked and tasty.

Good ish food. Managers were being nasty to staff, I found this so disrespectful and felt really bad for the girl who made a simple mistake with an order. This ruined our experience of Lewis's. Managers need to be more friendly and treat their staff properly!

I went there with my partner first time today for brunch and we fall in love with this place. Will be definitely coming back! Staff was very welcoming and friendly, especially our server Nelson who welcomed us to lewiss so nicely. Would reccommend it for everyone 100%

We regularly visit but since moving to the new premises, the service also seems different. We will continue to visiit but were surprised to be told at 3pm on an afternoon the coffee was but then very suddenly was not available.

Desayuno del domingo por la mañana. Llegó alrededor de las 10. 55, sentado con bastante rapidez y ordenado dentro de los 5 minutos. La jarra de agua con menta colocada en la mesa como materia, era un buen toque. El pedido llegó aproximadamente 11. 30 am Tuve el desayuno cocinado estándar. En primer lugar, las salchichas eran de una calidad increíble, se derretían en la boca, sin embargo solo 2 y el tamaño de las salchichas chipolata. Tocino también de buena calidad. 2 huevos escalfados que se cocinaron muy bien, tomates y lo que podría describirse como un hachís hecho en casa, que estaba bien cocinado pero muy poco sazonado y con champiñones. Tostada, así que no fue una tostada, fue una rodaja de bloomer encendida hecha en una sartén por su aspecto. Era pan de gran calidad pero no estaba tostado. La queja principal fue que el té fue el peor que he tenido, soy un gran bebedor de té, me encanta una buena taza de té. Este era un té de moda, se veía como finas virutas de corteza de árbol en una mini tetera de vidrio. Ya no tomo azúcar con té, tuve que agregar azúcar, aún sabía mal, la lengua se puso peluda. Dejó un poco menos de la mitad porque ya no podía beber, normalmente tendría uno y pediría otro. Otro amigo que yo era, no pidió ninguna bebida caliente, él solo toma café y ha visitado varias veces antes y ¡no puede tomar su café!

Primera visita para nosotros, nuevas instalaciones también. El personal fue muy amable al instante, dejó en claro que había una gran espera en la comida y nos sentaron. Las bebidas eran geniales, y cuando llegó el desayuno después de la larga espera, nos informaron de ello, y creo que es probablemente el mejor que hemos tenido hasta ahora. . . y comemos mucho brunch!

Después de llamar el domingo pasado para obtener los horarios de apertura de los días festivos del lunes, se nos informa a las 9:00 am. Como tenemos un recién nacido con nosotros, nos gusta llegar allí para abrir y sacar una mesa del camino y no de la manera del personal.

I’ve commented for so long that there isn’t a decent place for brunch in the midlands. I wish I had found this place sooner. Arrived first thing on a Wednesday morning and it quickly filled. Service was fast and friendly. The food quality was high, flavoursome and the portion kept me full all day.

Had a lovely lunch at Lewis spoiled only by the terrible service. The waitress serving us was patronising to my elderly mother and inattentive. We had to keep reminding her to bring things she'd forgotten (bread, water etc) After asking for water three times I eventually headed to the bar to get some. Without being asked she also explained the menu to my mother as if she were a toddler, pointing out that you can buy a glass of wine by the glass as well as the bottle. Luckily my mother can read and was just deciding what to choose. Later I spotted her starting a conversation with a couple, getting bored midway through talking to them and walking off! Impressive.

Have had both brunch and dinner here and have never been disappointed. The vegetarian menemen for brunch was fantastic, as was the French toast. The deserts are amazing, we had the cheesecake and baklava.

Always rated the Lewis breakfast and service at the old smaller site so was curious to see how the expanded deli would be. Me and my partner arrived at 3pm on a Saturday and although still busy we had probably missed the main wave of brunchers. We were met with a smile and sat upstairs by the front window, really nice waitress who was full of beans made us feel very welcome. We ordered relatively quickly, veggies cooked breakfast and the full meat Lewis's breakfast. Both came around 20 mins later which fine, and as ever the breakfast was immense! Nice range of condiments too, probably the nicest ketchup ever (Wilkin a& Sons) I'm gonna buy some! All in all a very pleasant visit. Keep up the great work!

We have been to the old restaurant a few times in the evening and always enjoyed our meal. This was the first time since they crossed the road, and happy to say the food was just as good, and if anything the service was better. I chose the lamb shawarma plate, and I would certainly have it again.

Visited today with my daughter who lives in Moseley and she has been here numerous times, it was my first visit and was not disappointed. Service was good, we both went for veggie breakfast and it was very tasty, particularly liked the spinach and avocado with pest dressing and pumpkin seeds. I did ask for extra hot coffee and it was just hot and the cup had a chip out of it and I forget to mention this. All factors considered I would definitely visit again.

Booked for 5 people at 7pm on a Thursday. We were seated, and had to ask numerous times to order drinks. Then they brought over the wrong drink!

Whilst very busy as you would expect late on a Saturday morning, the wait for our breakfast was most definitely worth it. The mushrooms were seasoned and cooked to perfection, the tomatoes likewise. Wonderful - will be back. Would have been rated 5 had service been a tad quicker.

Did I visit at the wrong time today ? Was told a 20 minute wait for a table and a 40 minute wait for food which would probably have turned into an hour. I personally think this is unacceptable. I am used to waiting for a table here on a Sunday but just walked out today and ate elsewhere. There were people in front of us waiting for a table plus people waiting to pay all in the same small entrance area and the staff seemed a bit harassed. Sadly I think this place may becoming a victim of its own success. I have had to leave a negative review judged on this, I have no doubt the food is still lovely... shame I didn’t get to try it today.

I almost don't want to leave a review because I don't want everyone to know about them. Small restaurant great friendly service, loose tea leaves,fresh health smoothies, freshly squeezed OJ and the best breakfast I've ever had.

Been here for first time since their premises move - twice now for their evening Lebanese food meals. And it is a step up from their earlier days at the other location - food is really excellent as is their choices of cocktails & the service. Last night Megan gave great service despite it being very early in her time with Lewis's. All in all a top experience & to be recommended.

I was in between meetings and came across this cute place at the Moseley junction. I had the veggie breakfast and it was delicious - pesto spinach in particular was great. My waiter was great. Only criticism is that they should add beans as it could have done with a bit more moisture. Otherwise great place and great choice of food - will definitely be back.

Went for the evening meal. Had to wait 20 minutes for the first food to appear. Food a bit mixed. Some of the dips are very bland. The pork and lamb are lovely. The wine by the glass is dire , both white and red. Friendly staff. They need to review the decor in the back section. Very boring, not very inviting.it

We perhaps did not choose the best time for our first visit to this well recommended place being a busy Saturday at 12:00. We had to wait for a table but it was well worth the wait. The food is freshly cooked and/or prepared and generous proportions as well. The service is very friendly and prompt.

Terrible service from the get go. No one approached our group while we stood waiting to be seated. A couple attended 10 minutes after us and got approached straight away. After this we were advised that there will be a 20 minute wait which is fine. However a table for four became available, a staff member asked if a couple would like to move to that table then continued to seat the couple who attended after us. During this time no one spoke to us and we didn't feel welcomed. I don't usually write reviews especially ones that are negative although I feel the attitude of the staff here need to be highlighted.

Been going to Lewis's regularly for breakfast on Sundays all year ,staff are lovely really friendly don't even have to ask for menu as they remember our order, the food is top quality brilliant vegan options it is a delight to visit

Una joya de encontrar en Moseley. La comida era increíble y el personal eficiente, atento, amable y conocedor. Durante una visita nocturna hubo un gran bullicio y ambiente.
