Hadn’t been in this pub for many years, but pleased to say the return visit was a very positive experience. The ale is particularly well kept and I enjoyed a fabulous pint of John Smiths. Didn’t eat, but the food looked good. The pub is friendly and the service was good. What would just make it perfect was if there were real log burners in the fireplaces. Also appears to have a nice beer garden for the summer, though it was too cold to use yet.

Still has a great local feel. Loved the Friday afternoon feeling. Great for locals or visitors, just be prepared to stand if you haven't booked. The food isn't amazing, but for the value you get a decent portion for the cost. Served hot even when the pub is busy.

Really enjoyed a festive lunch today with my sister , her husband and my daughter.

What a great pub this is. We went last night for ABBA experience and we had a fantastic time. We danced, we sang and we had a few drinks. The staff were very good, they did everything to make sure quick and smooth service was done. We will definitely come back again. Ps. The ABBA singers were fantastic, well organised and great entertainment. Thank you xx

It says on the website that it’s a dog friendly pub but you can not have dogs in the pub.. The staff was not as friendly as you would expect at such a lovely pub either.

why put pork in everything? Almost every main meat dish on the menu (apart from the tikka) is spoiled by putting pork in it. Yes burgers you can ask them to leave it off, but lasagne pre made? Mac and cheese? Yuck. I didn't want veggie so got the tikka...I make a good curry already and would have been better off stopping here for just a drink rather than dinner

Lovely pub. Had bite to eat which was plentiful and reasonably priced. Quiz was a bit of unplanned fun.. worth a visit.

Nice old pub tucked away in Northfield. Worth a visit. They have three regular cask ales on, all in decent condition. It would be nice if the ale was served in something a bit more traditional than the tall 'lager' glasses and half pint tumblers.

Didn't have food. I popped in with friends for a drink and they had a karaoke night. Not usually my thing but we had such a laugh. I didn't sing but my friend did. Great night out

Great place when a band is on. You get served quickly. The only downfall is that it's quite small in there, but great atmosphere.

Ha estado viniendo este pub durante años, siempre ha sido Northfields mejor mantenido en secreto. Los precios son más baratos que la mayoría de los otros lugares y la comida siempre supera las expectativas para el precio. Las ofertas de hamburguesas y pintas por £ 10 siempre son un ganador, especialmente el azul carnero! Enero, Beth, Kat y todo el equipo siempre son bienvenidos. El entretenimiento los fines de semana es siempre una noche ajetreada, ya que los actos son geniales. El jardín es una pequeña trampa de sol encantadora y un lugar muy agradable para tomar algo de almuerzo. En todo este lugar es una visita obligada cuando en la zona.

One of my fave places to go all year round. The indoor & outdoor areas are always spotlessly clean. Recently visited for a baby shower, the garden & indoor shed have been renovated and looks fabulous! The food is always great, the buffet for the baby shower was lovely, it had a variety for everyone (loved that some came with bowls of sauce which many places don’t think of!) the staff are always friendly and Jan is always a great host!

Chicken wings were overdone & from a very small chicken. The steak was £11 & wouldn't fill a OAP. Drinks were ok but overall a big disappointment.

Been here a few times now and the food has been great on each visit, especially the katsu chicken curry and the fish and chips! Staff are friendly and helpful, and the inside and outside spaces are clean and tidy. You can order at the bar or at your table via an app. Only thing that would make it better would be a Sunday roast, hopefully they'll introduce one. Oh, and some of the language from the regulars can be a bit 'strong', so as long as you don't mind that you'll enjoy it here.

Very nice service , lovely food .

Met with friends at the Stone and had a brilliant night! The food was really tasty and served piping hot too. As for the beer there was a great range of cask ales with the Pale Brummie being our favourite. The place was really busy, with a band playing that only added to the great atmosphere. The bar team were brilliant ensuring everyone was served quickly too. Well done team Stone, I will be sure to come back again very soon.

I’d just like to say Donna and Hannah have been so lovely this evening. Everytime I went to the bar they always served with a smile, even when I didn’t know what to order they gave suggestions and waited for me to decide. I’d definitely be coming back

20 years I’ve been drinking in this pub. It’s a lovely pub and has some extremely good staff. Just a shame that the manger lets it down, if she doesn’t like your face or a family member she makes it known and will make your experience uncomfortable, her language and attitude towards some of her customers is unprofessional and appalling.

Lovely old-fashioned and cosy local village pub. Recommended if you are nearby.

I would like to put t on record that I am a regular and always have a great time, as both staff and clientel, are great. I feel I need to log an issue today, Friday 1st March, where an extremely rude customer, questioned timing on a food order. The barmaid (not being sexist), Stacey, was extremely cool and professional whilst being subject to this man's tirade. She apologised several times but he would not refrain until his.partner, called him away. The party of people subsequently left without paying for their drinks. Stacey, in turn, explained this and obtained payment. Good work deserves good manners. Hopefully, they won't return. Up The Stone.

Great hidden gem of a pub in south Brum. Great for access to train station for city center travel with some spectacular locals. Good food, great atmosphere, real ales and the odd craft ale.

Friendly local pub, welcoming bar staff who are very attentive. Busy nights are the quiz on Thursday and weekend live entertainment. Well managed and trouble free.

This is my local pub and I love it, great staff and always a good laugh. Great for a quiet drink in the week but has a great atmosphere on the weekend. Abbey and Beth are especially great behind the bar!

What a fabulous pub. Went for the 1st time last Saturday night (27-1-24) to meet a few mates and watch the band (Three's A Crowd) they had got on. Pub was packed. Very nice atmosphere, staff were superb and the music was amazing. Will definitely be going again and can highly recommend 👌🏽

Best pub in the area! Had a lovely birthday celebration last week and the staff went the extra mile (as usual) to make sure it was a great experience!

This is our local and I can honestly say it has the vibe of a chilled out, rural village pub. Never had a bad pint, and the food is always freshly cooked and of a reasonable quality/quantity. Mercifully, the place is normally free of screaming kids and entitled parents, which is refreshing in this day and age.

Usually a lovely place to go however the last few times the staff seem to have lost all basic mannerisms and we was spoken to awful as we ordered table service, Beth just looked at us and said im far to busy for this then walked of and said I won’t be doing it again, no apologies or even a normal conversation letting us know that ordering in the app wasn’t available even though it was plastered everywhere you could use the app, it was very rude and we ended up leaving as it ruined the mood! Not a great experience this time!
