Piri Piri Express in Sefton

Not being funny but a rat ran across my foot. I saw the man cut his hand and continue to make food without him washing his hands, I instantly put my food down and left didn’t even bother asking for a refund. I would never ever suggest to anyone to eat here after my experience I have reported it to food hygiene standards agency honestly needs to be closed down instantly.

NEVER EVER AGAIN! TWICE I PLACED AN ORDER AND NOT ONE PHONE CALLED RECEIVED. Lied too every single time to say they were outside. Receptionist at the hotel confirmed no delivery driver! The worst service I’ve ever received. I feel sorry for those that actually live in the area and grateful I’m only visiting!

High quality and good portion sizes. My personal favourite is the Skyscraper but their chicken burgers are very good as well

Genuinely freshest tasting chicken. When you eat from here you feel like it’s a healthy meal, and at a pretty fair price. Is it sometimes hit or miss, sure. And it’s disappointing because you know how good the food can be. Sometimes the chicken isn’t heavenly like usual. When it’s good, it’s the best, when it’s not, it’s still better than most. Staff here are all nice, friendly and accommodating to your order and changes you’d like to make. - Chips are also good. - Supremely, for England the halloumi is pretty good. - Meals are filling. The lemon and herb sauce really is the signature here in our opinion. You can use the left over sauce for chips or rice. Parking can be quite frustrating, but if you know the area you can almost always find parking opposite by the chippy and walk over to piri piri. Conveniently placed next to Tesco express, Cash machine outside Tesco, 30 second walk. Piri Piri is genuinely worth your money.

Waited for over two hours for food £35.00 rip off when I called several times I was lied to saying it had just left then to add insult they told my wife to calm down just because we wanted to know where the order was up to never again

Three of us ordered not a lot of food; came to over £35! £6.95 for 3 pieces of halloumi served without spicy sauce. Will never waste my money again.

My partner has just ordered us a meal and only his turned up. The girl who delivered it, ran ad fast as she could! When we tried to phone, there was no answer and was asked to leave a message. Extremely disappointing and will never get food from there again.

We were a regular customer so we thought we would try again unfortunately we were disappointed. It was late arriving it was stone cold it was if the had got chicken out of the fridge and poured sauce over it I am cancelling my payment

I wouldn’t feed my dog the food from here. Half of it was over cooked and dry and the rest was under cooked and raw. The fries where soggy

We ordered 2 wraps for the kids and a wrap with hallumi for my wife and arrived 2 chicken nuggets for the little ones and a wrap with out hallumi.Half chicken for me was fine and I was lucky because you can't make wrong in a so simple order.......

Fabulous food! Only slight gripe was that we could have used a little more sauce on the burgers and the natas were cold, which made them doughy. Other than that all great 👍

Furious! Waited over a hour and a half for the food to even arrive and when it did arrive it was the complete wrong order! Luckily the delivery driver rang when he was outside so I had his phone number or I wouldn’t of been able to do anything as They do not answer there phone! Even delivery driver was trying to call and couldn’t get any answer! Hope this gets resolved asap! Still nothing been solved been waiting over 2 and a half hours now what a joke! Delivery driver been 45 mins ago and still havnt heard anything back at all! Or can not get in touch with this place!!!!! To be honest tho I have never had a fault with this place just now. Always before the delivery time food smoking hot and perfect But this time I can’t relate!! And nothing seems to be getting done. Delivery driver not answering now either!

This place was 3 hours late, food is cold and services horrible ! They no even deserved one start! Making also a compliant to just eat. Horrible place

Disappointed to say the least. The food wasn't anywhere near satisfactory. The burgers were tough and the wrap was a soggy mess. To cap it all it took almost two hours to arrive having called twice to chase it up. I would not recommend this place and certainly won't use it again !!

Food was lovely as usual however we were missing a Peri Chips from one of the meals and also the Grilled Halloumi. Disappointing but what we did recieve was spot on.

I use to order the "rack" of ribs and it would be that. A rack of ribs you cut up yourself. Just received a deliver and it was individual ribs. That where not the usual ones, these where the ones iv had myself from ICELAND. VERY POOR. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE AS THEY WILL USE CHEAP PRODUCT TO REPLACE ITEMS WHEN THEY RUN OUT. CUSTOMER COMES LAST.

Asked for the salad with the sauce on the side. Instead, it came absolutely dripping in Caesar sauce and was inedible.

First time we’ve ordered burgers from here….will definitely be the last time though as both burgers were over cooked, dry and exceptionally burnt. Won’t be back unfortunately

Chicken was pink and had bad sour smell to it . Went straight in the bin . Disgusting .

Delivery time stated was 20-30 mins prior to ordering, when in fact order didn’t arrive for an hour and a half.

My order took 1 hour and 20 mins I called the restaurant to complain about the luke warm food and the guy was so ignorant.it was the first and last time I order from this place.

Haven’t ordered from you guys in a while, the ribs used to be really good half racks of baby back ribs with the right amount of sauce rather than a box of individually cut spare ribs sat in what can only be described as a soup of peri peri sauce. Very tough ribs and while I like the chargrilled taste some were burnt. I think you should go back to the baby back ribs and the sauce should just be a coating like you used to do it not drowned in it.

I have eaten from this place several times and each time I do it continues to impress me. For several reasons I would recommend Peri express *good service and I have ordered online and by telephone (always polite and helpful) *fast delivery even during busy times *food quality is excellent and the food portions are perfect. If I had to recommend anything the sky scraper meal, half chicken meal and the banoffee pie are all fantastic. Thanks!!

Food is always on top form, always nice and warm. Staff are very friendly. Highly recommend if you are a lover of piri piri especially!

This place is either great or poor. A couple of years ago the food was always lovely but over the last few months it's been disappointing. Tonight the chicken wrap was not what I ordered, no sauce, which has happened before. The peri salted chips tasted like warm-ups only slightly saved by the seasoning. The overpriced "Malteser Cheesecake" was like mush and tasted awful. All in all £16 wasted.

Absolutely amazing food. Just the past couple of times I’ve ordered is the sauce seems less creamy. Less pungent. Less curry like. That’s my only criticism.

Food is always amazing. The piri piri chips were especially nice tonight. Kind ds couldn't get enough of them... Only wish you could order pittas via the just eat app. (I think I also preferred the piri piri ribs when they came in the bag instead of being bathed in sauce in a tray.)

Absolutely lovely food with locally sourced meat. Everything is cooked fresh and the staff are brilliant. Definitely recommend!

Spicy rice and wrap was lovely. Piri piri chips were missing and I rang restaurant who delivered them within 20 minutes. However chips were cold and crusty as was halloumi fries. Wouldn’t order chips again but would recommend southern fried wrap.

Food turned up half an hour late after it stating it was with the driver. Not sure who was at fault however a chicken sitting in cold sauce isn’t great with cold chips. Halloumi also cold.
