Pink Garlic in Taunton Deane

Lovely meal with nice atmosphere. The staff were attentive. The menu had a great selection, with clear descriptions of each. We like to try new dishes, so this was great for that. The food came out promptly, without being rushed. It was all tasty, excellent portion size and piping hot. Sharing sides were served on a warmer to keep its temperature. Overall we were pleased and would recommend.

Fabulous evening spent in the Pink garlic, staff very attentive, food was exemplary, we had the chicken shaslick, Tikka masala, Saag aloo, samosas, rice and naan bread. Cocktails Pina colada and Mojito. Highly recommended, good value for money.

Disgusting customer service. I’ve phoned Pink Garlic after TWO HOURS from placing my order. I’ve spoken to Abdulla (the owner) and told me that I am wasting his time. To think I’m his customer on the phone! I just wanted to know what happened to my order as I have paid for it already. Very rude. Not ordering from them again.

Takeaway: always absolute amazing! Such an amazing variety of food and we love to try new things which the pink garlic can offer. We've never dined in so is all based on takeaway. We've never received anything wrong that we've ordered.

My husband and I went to Pink Garlic tonight to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary (we didn’t share that info though) The meal was honestly the best Indian meal we have had in the 4 years we’ve lived in Somerset. We couldn’t eat it all so we were given containers to take the rest home. Not a single thing we could fault. Thank you ☺️

Our favourite Indian restaurant. It's a 68 mile round trip for us but well worth it. The choice of food and quality of food is excellent, the staff are friendly and make the evening a very pleasant experience. We've been coming here for nearly 10 years and never been disappointed. We can honestly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Had a meal on a Monday in March. What a surprise, the meal was absolutely the best Indian 👌 that we have had for years. The restaurant was quite, but that's only to be expected at the time of the year. The deco is pleasing and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We highly recommend the Pink Garlic and we will be back. Thank you 😊

I had to edit it and give it 1 star from 5, as the food was so bad!!! My wife brought some of it home as take away and she became sick overnight. And then the next day the food started to smell. We used to go there as it's run by some nice Bangladeshi people but not anymore.

Pink Garlic is the best curry that I have had in Taunton. It is authentic and tastes great. If your used to ordering from fast food curries you probably won't appreciate how good Pink Garlic is. I love their butter chicken and chicken madras. Oh and the mushroom rice. If you want a real curry go to pink Garlic it won't disappoint.

Worst experience ever, when we entered in pink garlic and we all sat together then waitress came and gave us menu after 1 minute he came again, he asked are you ready to order we said no, after 5 minutes he came again i said can you wait please do you have some patience or not after that owner came he said are you ready now they are headache, after they ignored us when we were ready to order they didn't listened us. After food we said can we have bill please, then we checked the prices, prices were totally different from menu to main bill we said to the owner that what's that the prices are not matching with menu prices he said this menu is 15 years old we said then it's not our fault you have to update it, even he also said you guys are 4 people so you have to order 4 main dishes but you guys didn't. It's our choice to order food it's not their choice. Bad experience ever, bad service, food not good. Everything is totally ridiculous. Do not visit in here, it's money wastage.

I’m not one to normally leave a review. But on this occasion I feel compelled. Last night I had a takeaway from this restaurant and I can safely say it was the worst curry I have ever eaten in my whole 38 years on this planet. It looked horrific and tasted like someone had dropped a bottle of salt in it. I don’t think I will be returning.

Got our first takeaway from The Pink Garlic and we were just blown away! The staff in the restaurant were lovely and helpful and we didn't have to wait long until our food was ready! The food was gorgeous and we had so much we couldn't eat it all! We will certainly be going back!

Had delivery which was late ( Uber not them ) but rang to ask he said ask Uber and put phone down . Then when food arrives was missing Madras, wrong type rice so rang and had items delivered quickly but no extras or a sorry. Never going to eat take away from here again.

Disappointing. Food was nice but we were placed at the end of the restaurant and ignored. Had to go and ask to place our order. They were more interested in a large group at the top of the restaurant. No atmosphere, staff couldn't crack a smile. Prices misleading as over charged by 15 percent at the bill.

Second year in a row. Asked for a large booking with individually charged tables. Again one large bill at the end with over £80 unaccounted for. Food nice enough, but bill and over charging left a sour taste!!

That was second Indian restaurant we visit in Taunton and it was definitely top class. Food was perfect (especially position 43 in menu - slow fried lamb) and the service was excellent and very friendly (thank you Abdul for excellent service and nice talk). Food and service make you want to come back. 10/10 defo recommended.

Over charged the entire table, said it was because of an old menu but still charged the higher price despite it being law that you cannot charge more then the advertised price. Bought wrong food to the table numerous times and lied about what is was. Staff were not friendly or attentive at all, seems like they couldn't be bothered or cared in the slightest. Restaurant was uncomfortably hot and when asked to put air con on they just opened the door for only 5 minutes which did nothing. Do not recommend this restaurant in the slightest and will encourage other people to avoid.

I'm not sure if this company has changed hands but we have been coming here for 10 years and tonight's eat in experience was awful, my family ordered 10 meals, 4 were wrong, we sat down at 18:30pm and our meals difd not come to the table until 20:40pm the waiters were extremely slow, impatient and shouting over people, and have no clue what to do with the wrong meals, they refunded one them because it was uneaten, no music, no air con, just pure chaos, could not wait to leave and we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on....oh and apparently 'butter chicken is just korma with butter added' lol.

Another great meal in the PGarlic super food and excellent service. Favourite place to eat in uk.

I use these guys for take-out. They do a mean Chicken Tikka Masala. Best I've had. Naan breads are massive and tasty. Coconut rice to boot. Worth the money. Never been in but generally it's quiet. Will use every time.

The food was amazing couldn’t fault any of it. Reason for the low star score is the attitude of the waiter, it’s not the first time either, tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and go again but, same as the previous time, just so rude, tutting when I pointed out he’s wrote our order down, huffing at every chance he got, asked him for the bill, it went straight through him. Won’t be going back due to him, which is a shame but I’m not paying to be served like rubbish.

Previously had good service, but this time the man serving inside was incredibly rude. Did not take drink orders, and when I asked him about ordering a drink he said ‘you can wait and order when you order food’. Weirdest thing to happen to me in a restaurant. Won’t be returning, and we were frequent customers. Shame, as the food is nice. But this man (acting like the manager?) was very unpleasant.

Amazing service and food as always. We normally have takeaways which are always perfect but decided to have a treat and eat in tonight, we were so pleased with our food and the service. Can’t wait to visit again and can not recommend Pink Garlic enough!

Collected an online order which said order would be ready in 20 mins, absolute shambles the queue was out the door, many other very angry customers, hardly any communication to deal with the situation, took over an hour to get food which ended up being cold. Will definately be changing were we get our Indian takeaway from now on!

I have ordered from pink garlic in the past and never had issues however, today the food was cold, wrong items sent and when contacting pink garlic I was told “check your order carefully next time” I phoned because I’d checked my order and it contained wrong items. The curry was watery and on its arrival items had leaked within the bag causing great mess. I won’t be ordering from pink garlic again which is unfortunate considering previous experience not so bad.

The waiters were very attentive and friendly. Food was tasty and well-presented. We spent an enjoyable evening here and will be coming back again.

So un clean Lady opposite asked for a high chair it was so Filthy she refused to put her child in it I don't blame her I wouldn't either. The service was dreadful we waited for over an hour, the place was busy but you could see everyone was frustrated that they weren't getting there food because they were so busy concentrating on take aways it seems they need to concentrate on either the restaurant or delivering because they can't keep up with both. It will be the last visit I won't be going again. Xxx

Working away in Taunton and gave this place a go for a takeaway. Staff were really friendly, food was absolutely delicious, only knocked a star off because I asked for a garlic keema naan and only got a keema naan. You can't give five stars unless it's perfect I'm afraid. Would I go back though? Absolutely 100%

We went for the Christmas Day special. Curry? On Christmas Day? I hear you ask! Yes, why not? We’ve just moved into a new house, the existing kitchen is awful & I couldn’t face the intricacies of Christmas cooking for the in-laws, so curry it was. & we were not disappointed at all. An amazing deal & all dishes on the menu were available. The food was delicious, the atmosphere brilliant and the staff (although rushed off their feet) so kind & patient. Even the wine was really reasonable (so of course we had to have a few extra bottles). I live this curry house & will definitely be going back. Delicious.

Failed to deliver an order they had accepted after 2 hours. This place just cancelled my order and left me to chase my credit card company to get my money back. There are far better places to order from in Taunton.

Order accepted on line and given delivery time slot, this passed and no delivery. Tried calling and they just let phones ring through to answer phone. After two hours they just cancel the order. Appalling service, why take orders and payments if you can't do it. Will probably need to chase credit card company for refund. Avoid this place.

I recently went to the pink garlic and the there was a young boy (his name badge said William) at the front of house , he was sat drawing and ignored me when I came in and when someone he was chatting to pointed out I was there he then shouted at me while he was still sitting down drawing , considering I was standing 3 meters away and he was shouting across the room at me. I Was waiting for my food then the phone rang he huffed and was swearing loudly under his breath which was disgusting and I told him he was being unprofessional and he told me to calm down, I got my food and left. I was absolutely disgusted and I’ve never had an experience like that anywhere! The food tasted nice but the food was swimming in oil/butter and it made me feel so sick and gave me such a bad stomach. I had some of of my curry left now baring in mind the container was half full this was the amount of oil made me sick to my stomach like I was literally just eating that 🤢 I had to throw it away after

Ordered on line and payment taken and given delivery slot, when no food arrived tried calling. They let the phones ring out to answer phone. One hour past delivery slot they cancel my order on line. Why take orders and payment if you can't do it. Appalling Restaurant avoid at all costs.

Over 1hr wait for delivery, stopped answering the phone so that they don't have to answer awkward questions. Useless. Order from somewhere else.

Stopped here on my way back home from the cinema and liked the look of their menu. Great choice as the food was superb. Had the fish Thali - lovely selection of dishes from a creamy korma to a spicy chili dish. Generous helping so ended up taking half home for dinner the next day. The best Indian meal I've had for quite some time - I shall definitely be going back!!

Went here last night for a takeaway, order lamb tikka masala pilau rice and garlic naan, The meat was very tough although tasty woke this morning with a really bad stomach which nearly 24 hours later is only just easing, really not going here again sorry.

Boyfriend Ordered food at 9:40 through just eat At 10:40 the food said delivered but it hadn’t been so I rang to ask why it said delivered Guy was blunt on the phone and said the man had only just drove off with the food. At 11:30pm my boyfriend went to stand outside and walked down the road to see where they were and found it left outside some random persons front drive, food is now freezing cold and no one tried to contact us and we ordered a vegetable korma with our order but they sent a chicken one.

Lidl freeway cola 59p per liter bottle sold at pink garlic for £4.95 a pint starter sauces used and taken from the table only to be served straight to another paying customer for the leftovers to be eaten.

Takeaway never arrived, they blamed the just eat driver. Forced me to call just eat to resolve it rather than trying to fix it themselves. Tried to offer a bottle of beer to a recovering alcoholic to rectify the situation. Food finally arrived 2.5 hours later despite me telling them I no longer wanted it and would be requesting a refund as I'd already ordered from Maliha. Good luck if you decide to order takeaway from them.

Went for a meal with a friend, got sent to the back of the restaurant and put in the corner like naughty school children. Then was ignored when we tried to order drinks, wish id walked out as the food was appalling.

After being recommended this restaurant by many people, i made my first order for delivery tonight. Unfortunately they forgot my naan bread but the food was absolutely beautiful, will definitely be back.

We ordered a takeaway from here to try the place out. The food was good, but we felt that the price of the food was a little much for a family takeaway, and that was with the discount that we were offered for ordering it as a takeaway.

Well, I ordered this evening and i got the wrong dish. However... I called and was a ligit mistake, it happens accidents do. But im gonna say the chaps at pink garlic were very understanding and very happy to accept the accident and rectified this very quickly and without fuss. So with that amazing customer service and the delicious taste of the food I have no choice but to award 5* the lamb tikka massala was very sweet flavoursome, the balti was full bodied and auromatic and il give the banquet a go it seems like a very very good offer and I'm sure my family and i will enjoy.

If i could give more stars i would! Staff beyond lovely, food lovely, friendly environment, they want to help you, and even kept staff there beyond closing time, ive been to places where they try to hurry you out, or order quickly, not this place. I recommend this place very highly 10/10.
