Vegan options available - good to call and book before coming. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was tranquil.

Food barely cooked, very small portions. Food not even worth of school canteen. Someone found a bone in their stuffing and the gravy was water. Even my 80 year old mum said it was the worst meal she ever had. The room makes the only visiting point.

Met with friends for a Christmas lunch. The food was lovely and a wonderful. Four courses including coffee and mince pies. ambiance. Huge open fireplace, just what was needed on a freezing cold day. £12.95 for a bottle of wine seems good value. Will definitely visit again

Lovely place for lunch, small menu but well worth it. Very tasty, good service and reasonable prices. Highly recommended for a visit to walk the grounds and follow up with a great lunch.

Fantastic family breakfast at Pilgrims Hall. Such a lovely building within the priory. You don’t need too, but we called ahead and breakfast was prepared for us for when we arrived. Cooked breakfast, lots of tea and coffee, orange and apple juice. Toast and Jams and cereals. £9.80 per person. Fabulous breakfast, highly recommended if your having a family outing breakfast! Super friendly lady running everything. Opening from 10am-3pm.

Visited this cafe for lunch today, something I had been meaning to do for ages but never quite got round to it. I'm so glad I found time. Cafes are becoming a rarity, probably because of the proliferation of the chain multiple fast food places. This cafe has bucked the trend and appears to be thriving. Once you have eaten there, you will soon see why. The first thing you notice is that it is spotlessly clean. The tables are cleared and relaid immediately after each customer. The service is first class with happy smiling staff who are very friendly. The food was served quickly, and it arrived on warm plates and piping hot. Above all, there was plenty of food which was absolutely delicious. I shall return as soon as possible. If you are in the area and feeling peckish, swerve the KFC, Greg's etc and pop into Goodfellas. It's a real gem!

Can't beat fish and chips from Diamond Fish Bar! Always enjoy my fish supper! Would recommend! Prices have gone up though! 2 Medium Cod and 1 Large Chips was £20 or so
