Food and staff were great, and friendly. The restaurant was clean but gets a bit busy at peak times so I squeezed into a corner but apart from that I’d recommend it to anyone passing.

I had lunch here with a friend. We hadn't been back in years & it was as good as we remembered. The staff were friendly & the service prompt. The food was freshly cooked to order, & perfectly cooked. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which were very good value for money. I'll go back sooner this time.

Adorable little cafe in Woolston. They do a varied breakfast menu that catered for everyone. Loads of milk shake choices and all very reasonably priced. Staff are lovely too.

First I have been here, and I’m not gonna lie I was expecting an ‘Eastenders’ type Greasy Spoon cafe. Wow! Decor was nice, service with a smile & food tasted lovely. I’ll definitely be back again!

Wondering if management has changed since 5ish years ago. Breakfast was really not good. Asked for scrambled eggs which were so overdone they were inedible. The toast wasn't toasted. The milkshake was just milk and ice with a sickly sweet coffee type syrup in it. (3.50). The price I paid for two breakfasts and two drinks was 22 pound which I think is a lot for the quality. Disappointed considering this used to be a really great place to eat. Sadly won't be coming back and will visit boathouse or mettricks instead.

We had a takeaway roast dinner today which was delicious, it was delivered promptly was plentiful absolutely nothing could be complained about. Then things got even better a ring at the door and the delivery driver was back to say we had paid too much and returned the money!! Many thanks to him and staff at Piggys for being so honest. Give this place a go it is friendly, with good food and honest.

Decided to take my mum for lunch today and stopped at Piggies because every breakfast I’ve ever had there has been top notch. Today wasn’t as good though, we ordered the Chilli with chips and while it took a little while to arrive I wasn’t too concerned. When the food came out it was fairly well presented although it could have been better with some sour cream. Unfortunately what arrived was bolognese with a couple of kidney beans thrown in, when I brought this up with the waitress, she explained that it was a mild Chilli and that it had kidney beans in. What I suspect is that they repurposed some old bolognese and didn’t go to the effort of dressing it up as a Chilli very well at all. Absolutely zero spice what so ever.The waitress did offer to cook something else but unfortunately we didn’t have time to sit and wait for another meal to be prepared. My mum also commented on the waitress giving her daggers from the other side of the restaurant. Both of us left really disappointed in the food and as a consequence i refused to pay for one of the meals even though both were hardly touched.A real shame because I generally always have a good experience here.

Took mum here as she loved the atmosphere. The staff are brilliant and accommodating. Mum sadly passed on Monday, but she enjoyed every visit and I will go back and have a drink for mum

I have visited Piggies in Woolston for many years, mainly with my wife who sadly passed away recently. I not visit when I can get there with my son or daughter, I have thought about coming on my mobility scooter but I think its just a bit too far.Every time I vist the food is excellent, cooked to order and their omlettes are brilliant. They have a good selection and they have every type of milkshakes you could imagine, my favorite being cherry.Clair and her son Ryan are very nice and friendly, always make you very welcome.Their menu is varied and caters for all needs, not a fine dining place, but you get what you want. If it was possible I would attempt to go there every day for lunch rather than cooking for myself at home.

Have been here twice and both times dismal sad the first time me and my friend thought we would let it slide see what else was on the menu but the place was cold the food poor staff are nice But the food took 50 minutes to come out shame really

My husband and I came in for breakfast this morning but unfortunately it's gone down hill since are last visit. It took 40mins for two breakfast to come out .and it wasn't even busy and or most of the food is prepared before hand..we both drank are coffees b4 it arrived. And extra 75p for scrambled egg on a breakfast. I couldn't believe it. Terrible. So what would it be if you wanted pouched eggs ??? And the bread was stale so didn't eat it...oh and lots of water on my plate WHY ??? Wont be back

If you are over the bridge, as they say, pop into this gem of a place. Big breakfast freshly cooked. Amazing friendly staff. Lots of people near us were eating brunch. We will give this a go next time. Great value also

What a lovely little cafe this is. The staff are super friendly and the food and drinks are all very reasonable. They were really happy to substitute the milk for a plant based milk and gave me a soya spread instead of butter. The toilets were sparkly and very clean and overall it was such a good experience Im looking forward to returning.

We visit Piggy’s regularly either for breakfast or a Sunday roast. Everyone is always very friendly and welcoming and the food is great. I’d recommend Piggys to anyone looking for a filling breakfast in Woolston

Fryups absolutamente excelentes en todos los aspectos. Teníamos algunos requisitos especiales como leche de soja, té chai, pan integral, etc. y todos se encontraron sin problemas.

Having been on a lads night to watch England vs Colombia, we were in desperate need of breakfast the morning after. This place was just what was needed. Really friendly, great fresh breakfast and great to eat it outside in the wonderful weather we've been having. Had the full English £4.99. Added black pudding. Winner. If I'm needing breakfast in the Woolston area again, I'm heading straight to piggys.

Went for lunch for the first time here today, Very welcoming, lovely food, quick service, reasonably priced, Clean restaurant, covered in pig ornaments which is brilliant, And they do lovely cake which we got to take away!

With my fast approaching birthday, I decided to treat myself to a healthy fry up. After asking work mates I was told about Piggies so thought WHY NOT. After fighting through the snow with my wife and little one we found Piggies and even managed to find a table. The lady who served us could not of been more helpful and even managed to find a little set of knife and forks for my daughter (see loved them). I treated myself to a greedily large breakfast which was amazing, and my daughter had pancakes which she loved while my wife went for the beans on toast.

Piggy’s is fast becoming a favourite - we’ve been twice now in the last fortnight. With two babies under 6 months they couldn’t be more helpful, asking if we would like a high chair and finding space for the buggies. The food is amazing, plentiful, and really well-priced. :-)

Whenever I am near woolston and want coffee and breakfast I call in here. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Food freshly cooked and served hot and promptly. As I was on my own this visit the waitress chatted with me for a short time, which was lovely. The only thing I would ask is watch the decking outside of here as in wet weather it is incredibly slippy.

Breakfast is always so good, hot & not even expensive! My cousin & I'd favourite breakfast spot. Only slightly annoying thing is you have to go to the counter to pay. I think when it's a bit quieter they could come to the table with the card machine!

A good breakfast with great friendly service. The breakfast is reasonable price and good quality. Coffee was superb and their smoothies top draw and fairly priced. can get busy but once you've eaten there you'll understand why.I will be going back soon to try their roast dinner so watch this space

Been to this breakfast restaurant 3-4 times and each time have been thoroughly impressed. It can get busy but the food is worth the wait, is good value and the staff are incredibly friendly. I particularly enjoy the pancakes with bacon! Would definitely recommend to all

Visited today with the other half and baby. Didn't see a Highchair available nor was offered one hence why I would not give 5 stars however the interior is pretty, breakfast menu was sound and the staff were polite.Quite possibly visit again when warmer weather for a meal and glass of wine, sat outside on the tables/benches.

Have visited this cafe several times (during the week) and have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The food was always ok (if a little pricey) and the setting was very nice. As the weather was poor we thought we would take some friends along to show them what it was like. We arrived and it was very busy but we did manage to find a table and met with whom we assume to be the owner (middle aged lady with blonde hair). She appeared very offish with us from the start as we moved tables as there were 5 of and it was difficult sitting at original table for 4. We put her behaviour down down to the cafe being busy and and her being stressed however it soon became apparent she was 'overly friendly' with what must have been her regulars and dismissive and off hand with those who were not regulars. We placed our orders within about 10 minutes but had to wait another 40 minutes for 2 breakfasts and a waffle and ice cream. The drinks and cakes arrived straight away but the rest was another 40 minutes. Again we can accept this as it was busy and the rest of the staff were very nice. Upon finishing we went to pay and as we were paying separately we asked to split the bill. The blonde lady who we assume was the owner was not happy doing this and said we needed to take the bill back to the table and work it out for ourselves even though we had waited in a queue for 10 minutes waiting to pay. (This has never happened there before as the staff had always previously just split it). We went back to the table to do as she asked and the person who had been behind us in the queue asked the same thing and she split the bill for them (assume they were a regular!!). We worked our bill out and paid however I noticed that she had charged me £4.95 for a waffle and ice cream but it said on the board £3.95. I queried the price and was told it was £4.95 as I had ice cream. I looked on the board again and saw it said £3.95 for waffle AND ice cream. Again I said this to her and she became quite angry and said 'if you want to go to sprinkles you would pay far more than that!' By this time all the restaurant were looking at us. I again just said to her that her board said the wrong price. She said 'well it must have been written down wrong - what do you want me to do? I'll change it if that's what you want!!' By this time I just collected my coat from the table but some other diners called me over - they were raising their eyebrows at her behaviour and indicated how rude she was. One pointed to the trip adviser notice and said you should put a review online to warn others. I said to her that I thought the owner obviously treated regulars well but was rude and dismissive to those she thought were new customers. Their table all nodded in agreement. She would do well to remember that regulars may be tempted to try other cafes over time and although she is busy now times may change and she may need new customers in the future. We will never re-visit the place, and neither will our friends who couldn't believe how rude she was. I can only say the rest of the staff are very pleasant however beware of coming into contact with the 'blonde haired' owner if you are not a 'special regular' customer.

This place has great food, great feel, cosiness, open fire (lit often, - during cold snaps).The staff are friendly & the lady who runs it is just lovely & we have become friendly with one another as she recognises myself & children. I'm so lucky to have such a friendly cafe on my doorstep.By far worth its five stars! ✨

Went to Piggies on a quiet afternoon, and there was only 2 other customers. My friend and I ordered a Jacket Potato. After eating (was ok nothing special) My friend paid for us and left.......Just as we walked out of the door the Manager/Owner ( blond hair, Black Rimmed Glasses) Opened the front door a 'bellowed' at us as we was making our way down the high street. She shouted something about us not paying?! Therefore being 'honest' citizens, we turned back a walked back towards the shop. My friend then asked what she was talking about. My friend proceeded to get her debit card and receipt out of her pocket to show the 'rude' woman. Before my friend had a chance to show her the receipt, she then said 'oh sorry, I've got it wrong'. Then went back in and slammed the door!?! hmmmmmm sorry I won't be going back....

Great place ... it has personality and character, unlike the usual street-chains. People running it who actually put their hearts into what they do. Fantastic choice of meals (not greasy spoon stuff), cakes and coffee/tea etc. Hope to be back soon :)

My daughter has been to piggys before and recommended this cosy place, and yes was cosy clean tidy looked really good. Must have been a bad day, did have to wait quite a while, which I don't mind if the food was going to be worth waiting for, was mostly over cooked. Little expensive for an over cooked wait a while not busy breakfast

Wanted to have a catch up with a friend, Looking at the reviews on trip adviser our usual places we had lunch locally appeared to the not getting very good reviews, so l looked around and found Piggys. After looking a the pictures an all day breakfast it was going to be, even though the menu had a good choice. It was quite busy when i arrived and got busier while we were there. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The only thing is my friend had a little trouble catching someone's attention when she wanted another drink, but did in the end as may be they could have done with another pair of hands. The service was very friendly and as they were so busy was efficient. Would go again.

So this has become a regular haunt for myself family and friends, whether that be for a quick coffee, tasty lunch or the most commonly for breakfast. The food is always of a high standard and enjoyed by all. The staff are friendly and welcoming.Tonight we enjoyed a chilli and curry night for my daughters 18th, it's her favourite place when home from the navy so it made sense to hold her celebration there. Couldn't of asked for a better evening, intimate relaxed gathering enjoyed by all and the food was, as usual, lovely.Clare and Ryan went above and beyond to make sure all went well and that my daughter enjoyed herself.I understand they are hoping to open on a Friday and Saturday evening in the new year, can't wait!!!?Oh... ps... ask about their healthy option breakfast and sugar free syrups in their tasty lattes.!!!

We had cause to shop in Woolston, popped into Piggys for a cup of coffee and ended up having breakfast and it was 1st class, friendly staff, well presented food of good quality and fast service, the coffee was good as well, a re-visit is on the cards when next in the area.

Woolston is not loaded with high quality eateries which is a shame but this place is good. Wide ranging menu, good breakfasts, great coffee and good prices. Very friendly place

I called in with a friend for a late lunch. We only wanted something light and opted for sandwiches. Although there is only one veggie option on the main menu I spotted quorn sausages on the breakfast menu and had a sausage sandwich - a great change from cheese or egg. Although my friend had egg mayo and she said that it was lovely. The service was good and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. I would definitely go call in again.

Went for a bit of breakfast, but more like lunchtime. Food was nice, but it did take quite a while to come, even though the cafe wasn't that full.The food was hot, and did taste nice hitting the spot.

Food was nice and staff are friendly the seating isn't very good you feel crammed in on busy days and you sit there waiting for them to cook to order it just feels so closed in but it is well decorated and very welcoming. The food is ok given my particular dietary requirements there is not a lot I can have so it is an occasional treat for me also they are a bit more expensive than some places. Being on a low income it is out of my budget. Otherwise very nice price for a lunch or brunch.

After a long morning of packing the removal van we had worked up a good appetite, Tony my cousin said he knew a great cafe in Woolston Southampton. We drove the short distance from his old house in Bitterne after parking up in the local car park which was FREE for the first two hours we were soon at Piggys cafe , outside was full of people sat enjoying the lovely weather and having various drinks on entering the busy cafe we managed to find a table for two not far from the counter we looked at the drinks menu and couldn't find the food one ? But the very helpful waitress / boss ? Soon came over to us with a couple of menus and explained she only handed out the menu when customers came in that way no customer's would be misted out a good idea we thought, well it didn't take many moments for us to choose our food two full English breakfasts were the order of the day . Its wasn't too long until they turned up they looked very good so much so I've taken a picture to prove it , we both cleared our plates and really enjoyed the food we also had a couple of nice latte coffees which were good too all in all I would recommend this cafe to anyone wanting a good fill of quality food .

My Son and Daughter in law asked me if I wanted a Piggy? They had been a few times and love the place. This was my first visit, won't be my last. You can see and feel this little coffee shop has been a labour of love. It's homely, it's clean, it's reasonably priced, food is amazing and the staff are wonderful and friendly. We turned up near to closing time, yet they welcomed us with no resentment. Staff checked if we was happy with our food and chatted to us but not intrusive. The owner and staff took pride in everything. It's a little gem of a place and I can't wait to take my husband there. Thank you Piggys.

Visited with a friend for coffee, we then felt hungry and were given menus by a lovely lady who works there she was friendly and efficient and made us feel very welcome, the food was a big surprise as a cafe I didn't not expect restaurant quality food!! Very nice indeed, would highly recommend

Piggys is by far my favourite place to eat! not only because I'm obsessed with pigs so the name and decor is spot on, but because the food is of good quality and reasonably priced! not to mention the friendly and welcoming staff and the delicious milkshakes. Me and my mum visit at least once a month and are never disappointed :) highly recommend!

Lovely breakfast. Good service, good food. Great way to start the morning. Visited with friends and we all were very full and content by the end!

What another great meal and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I would give 6 stars if I could. The place is cosy clean and well stocked. Excellent menu choice and loads of drinks choices. I recommend the smoothies.

Have come here a few times in the past and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It was really busy but staff found me and my family a table quickly. Our waiter was friendly and really nice to talk to. Food arrived and looked great. The full English I ordered was one of the best I've had in a long time and nearly ordered a second. Also I recommend their milkshakes they are heavenly with many flavours that you can mix and match.
