Really nice setting but below average chips, they tasted like deep fried oven chips. Curry sauce was very odd too. Had a darker than usual colour and tasted sweeter than others I've had. It was also runny, like it was from a bottle or something. Sorry not for me 🤮

Great fish and chips in a superb location, can't go wrong really

Okay place for fish & chips. Very large portions! Charge extra for ketchup. No beer nor wine (only soft drinks). Pricy 12 pounds for a fish&chips is too much. None of us were able to finish the food.

My family & I ate here the first day of our holiday & agreed its the best Fish & Chips we've ever tasted. So we ate there everyday as their Menu is out of this world. They do everything a Chip Shop does & much , much more. Gourmet burgers of all varieties & fries of all varieties. And if you like real Mr Whippy ice-creams then this is the place for you. Great cold drink selections & the seating area is huge. All staff are extremely polite and efficient, & was a joy to sit down & eat in such a clean, hygienic, friendly, well run Chip shop.Once you eat here you will never forget it you will come back for more. Well done everyone you added pleasure to our Brighton holiday 10/10 😉👍👌🫶.

Really really yummy fish and chips. Fresh fish, crispy light batter, and gorgeous chips. The curry sauce is also probably the best fish and chip shop curry sauce I've ever had! £12.50 for a single portion of cod and chips which isn't cheap for a takeaway, but it is right on the seafront in brighton, and if you sit on the tables out the front that's not too bad at all for an 'eat in' meal with a view👌 Quick service and friendly staff too. Well worth it.

Only had chips but they were lovely, the place looked very clean and we were served very fast.

Very good location, you can eat good food with a view of the sea. Delicious, cod in crispy batter, fresh home-made chips, a very large selection of sauces/pickles for a few pennies. The prices were not high at all, for four portions we paid less than 50 pounds and each of us chose a different side. It's also worth adding, that their portions are huge and we really struggle to finish it!

Had a lovely day out with family, stopped off for fish and chips and ice cream (gelato) Fish was cooked perfectly with a generous amount of chips, great price for the portion sizes will definitely be returning. To top off a great evening for the kids they all had some lovely enjoyable gelato with sprinkles- made their day :)

Good fish and chips. Do child portions. Would recommend this place as it's on the sea front. Have to pay for condiments.

Who is to blame a mentally disabled employee or a supervisor/manager who lets you pay twice for one portion of fish and chips. Despite that the first person was not properly guided/trained in the job had the person with the responsibility no interest in the customer nor his employee. If stress levels go up for mentally disabled people because they have a situation that goes beyond their problem solving capabilities, then you have an incapable manager running the ship.

The view is best from the other restaurants in whole bright. High quality and tasty fish and chips we get in pier view fish and chips. Staff are really good and best gelato I have ever had in my life😍😍

Fantastic fish and chips..delicious. Fresh chunky cod with crispy batter and chips wonderfully crisp exterior and fluffy inside. Whippy ice cream also excellent, creamy and great texture. Don't bother going anywhere else! Great hospitality too. Head down by the pier and try it out

Took the kids here over the half term, great service and great people. Fish was cooked to perfection and really nostalgic back to the good old days enjoying classic chips and curry sauce. Wide variety of food suitable for children and well catered to my dietary requirements! Will definitely be returning!!!

Lovely pier view, as the name suggests, also gives you a whole view on the calming water / waves - even Europe ( if your eyes are 👌) . Bouncy music, great service ( Ed) ensured me the Fish and Chips are fresh and the best around, he delivered; The fish and chips were amazing, tops Harry Ramsden easily. Crispy fish - great ratio of bater to cod. Chips were thick, fresh cut and sporadic Potato skin only added to the taste. Portion size was just right, not too many chips allowing you to strip off guilt and fat free - Beach ready 😎 ⛱️

Stopped by for my son's 9th birthday with his mates and everything was great. Freshly cooked chips, no rehydrated mush, cold drinks and ice cream and everyone was happy.

Shocking from the first chip to the last.. broke a tooth which will probably costs much at the dentist!!...

My mum was very pleased with the tea served here, she’s particular and likes Yorkshire tea/ skimmed milk etc. They had all of this and the lady who served us the tea was exceptionally lovely with great service! I bought some chips w/ mayonnaise and thought the prices were a bit steep (£5.50 for my chips/Mayo & £2.70 for tea) but as it’s got an amazing location (right on the seafront with outdoor seating) in Brighton, the added price is kind of expected. Would have given a 3/5 across the board had it not been for the lovely staff member and that my mum was so happy with the tea. The chips were nicely cooked also.

AVOID! The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had the displeasure of paying £35+ for. Two small revolting cod and chips - £24, 1 look warm tasteless saveloy - £3 odd, two cans of Fanta £4, 1 Jalfrezi sauce masquerading as curry sauce £2 and one watery, cold mushy peas - £2. No bins to dispose of rubbish, no trays, no plates, wooden cutlery and no loos. The one redeeming factor, a kind employee, who could see I had a can stuffed in each pocket and was wondering how I’d get it all back to the table without dropping the lot, helped me to the table. How they can say the best fish and chips. What a joke stay away and spend your money at a proper fish and chips place. £12 for grease drenched fish which was so thin. Chips were ok. They should call it the worst fish and chips in Brighton. Save your money as you will regret it.

The fish was quite good, a lot of breading, the fries were dry, you couldn't eat them, they look like wood, like jess, they smell like plastic, the portions are small considering the price.

I was wavering on 3 or 4 stars but went with 4 in the end because of the location. The fish and chips are a tad pricey but the portion sizes are very generous. The chips are nothing special but the fish really good. If you're not feeling too hungry then the kids portion could well be enough and saves you £6. We've been here many times and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Absolutely Disgusting AVOID AVOID AVOID! The staff wipe their nose on their gloves and sleeves and continue to server your food. They bring in staff from the cake shop on the pier as they have no staff, absolutely disgusting with the cross contamination. The chips are tasteless, soggy like they had been sitting there for days. All their fish and dumped in a poorly cleaned storing oven for days probably. Not even an ounce of fish in my portion or anybody else in my family. I have no idea how there are 20+ people queuing up for this place when the food is genuinely disgusting. My 4 year old brother got food poisoning later in the day and large rashes from the chicken nuggets + chips, and to be honest I was expecting it. The chicken nuggets were more stale that he was struggling to bite into them. lets not even get into the price £80 for 3 portions of fish & chips and one portion of chicken nuggets and chips. Considering the service and food quality this is completely revolting, this price is way out of this universe. This is probably the best fish and chips shop in the city as everything else is equally as disgusting. DO NOT eat in Brighton, especially from this fish n chips shop if you don't want to fall dead the next day. AVOID, AVOID AVOID! Later on caught, the staff dating on the cake shop down the pier. No wonder the whole pier was deserted, nobody wants to see public kissing and loving shows in the middle of a bright sunny day. Not to mention the main road being closed because of a marathon caused huge delays. What type of city is this?? You have ambulance staff sitting there sunbathing on the side on the streets doing nothing and police dancing around what the hell? This city needs to be put in place because it was ridiculous Additional, major health and safety risks all around the pier, there are signs saving not to jump into the sea as it could be dangerous. however there are literally no guard rails on the side openly letting children fall into the sea and cause huge waves making a ridiculous mess, and the fish and chip shop staff literally openly go out in their same uniform, have a wash, moreover, keep wiping their snot all over their shirts and gloves and heading back to the shop using the same uniform, disgusting. This fish and shop chips shop needs to get a touch of health and safety. In London we have a policy all restaurants need to be checked, for some reason most of the restaurants in Brighton do not have this check? If the food checkers were to come down to Brighton I'm sure 99% of the restaurants would be shut down and completely off bounds. Do NOT VISIT.

£14.05 for fish and chip meal deal at the fish & chip bar at the end of the pier opposite Horatios. The fish batter had a weird taste and the chips were dry. Several hours on and I now have bad stomach cramps. Won't be going back there 🥺

Superb fish and chips, slow delivery however, thats a price worth paying for fresh cooked fish. Sat outside in a really pleasant decked area. Went for a 2nd visit but they were closed a whole hour earlier than stated on google

Wouldn’t really call it gourmet burgers… £7.50 for a cheese burger and it was awful, 3 slithers If onion in the burger, had to ask for more sauce as there was 3 drops only of ketchup and mustard and the burger it’s self wasn’t really that hot. Just bland and overpriced

Eager to treat 8 friends to fish and chips as one of our traditional seaside experience, we spent almost £80 but when a few asked for ketchup the rude duty manager refused, but later pointed us to the stall across the way saying we should go and get some from there.

What a spot and what lovely food , the owner has really cornered the beach near the pier with a premises that offers everything your family could want wether fish and chips perfectly cooked or a gorgeous fully loaded hotdog and afterwards pop to the dedicated icecream counter for a tasty treat. The outside seating area is very well laid out and huge so it could accommodate a party of any size. My daughter and i was very happy with the food we had. All the staff where happy and helpful Highly recommended
