Really Friendly staff, so I feel bad giving such a low score. Set in a Really quaint Station tea Room. Selling sandwiches, pastries etc . We both had a hot drink, pasty and a Lemon Meringue Pie. My Husband said his pasty was just OK. Mine was cheese & onion, and it was just so bland and tasteless. I ordered a Yorkshire Tea, and I was expecting a lovely strong Brew. Instead of being allowed to make the Tea to our own preferences, the staff do that for you. I was horrified to see loads of milk being poured in for me, it was just so weak,awful grey and milky, really bad! One of the worst cuppas I've ever had! I couldn't drink it. I think they should consider letting customers make their own tea (like every other restaurant)

Lovely staff. They didn't have any foods that were suitable for me due to my food allergy and staff were extremely apologetic and then without me asking they went out of their way to phone their manager and find a solution which they gave to me free of charge. Absolutely wonderful service and staff, I will definitely return.

Stopped for lunch here on Saturday. Ordered some sandwiches which were freshly prepared before us. They were really good. Returned on Sunday for more! All surplus income goes towards work on the station. Very friendly people and an excellent cause to support. Only open at weekends.

Just had dinner at the Forest and as usual it was absolutely first class , the service , the food, everything about it is top drawer ! We cannot recommend it enough for a pleasant meal or experience out!

The SquareThis cafe has been closed for months. There doesnt seem any sight of it reopening. I think the owner was having staff problems and suffering from unsympathetic reviews. We enjoyed our visits and good food. Shame

Cropton villageBooked the brewery tour package from Red Letter days. The tour was very informative with Josh being a fountain of knowledge and obviously loving brewing and beer. His witty remarks and low key humour really made the tour enjoyable. The beer tasting in the bar was flexible and offered a pint taken eith as a pint, two halves or a flight of 3, third pints to enable a range to be tried! Although a small brewery they have some quite advanced mechanisation for bottling, canning and casking! Very impressed,

2 Market PlaceA lovely friendly bakery, just one wee table to sit and and have a coffee and observe the comings and goings of the regulars, the holiday makers and day trippers. Bread and cakes wonderful, a lovely lady owns this place and I wish her well!

5 Market PlaceWe visited this wonderful place back in June for a drink and because of the welcome we decided to stay in December. The room was fantastic, beautifully decorated and so cosy and clean. The lovely Emily and her bar staff are lovely and helpful . The quiz on a Thursday hosted by the wonderful Rory is a great laugh and so well put together. The place has a lovely welcoming feel and we had a lovely relaxing stay we will definitely be back xx
