Picasso Express in Eastbourne

Friendly welcome. Attentive staff. Quick and efficient service. Stayed for 2 hours and was unrushed. Most importantly the food was excellent - steak dish, pizza and a pasta. Nice wine too!

A warm, friendly Italian restaurant with a superb ambience. Brilliant food, great service and friendly staff. So much so that for the two days we’re visiting Eastbourne we’re going back the second night. What a shame it’s not our local!

Been here multiple times and always have a good experience. Took my mum last time and she is half Italian and loves cooking. She rated the food highly which isn’t often with Italian restaurants. I always find the staff wonderful. Recent refurbishment since I last came and last visited and liked the improvement.

I ordered a take away from Picasso Express, Eastbourne and was really disappointed in the quality of the food. Rustico Pizza - The base was too chewy and the crust was too hard. The taste of this pizza was too salty for me and my partner and we just couldn’t finish it. In addition to this the rocket salad topping was missing and there were only 2 small pieces of sunblush tomato. Diavolo - Again base too chewy, crust too hard. The slices of meat on top were like crisps. Again really salty not sure why. Arabiatta Pasta - Tasted so bland, overcooked pasta and looked like something a really amateur cook would dish up. All the vegetable ingredients had just been cut into chunks. It was actually the worst Arabiatta I’ve ever tried. All in all a disappointing meal. The experience has put me off and I would not order from this restaurant again.

Visited with my wife and was pleasantly surprised at this find of a small stylish restaurant in Old Town . Nice atmosphere and decor Great food and friendly staff Will definitely return

We booked a lunch-time meal, and have to say, this restaurant was excellent and proved to be a great choice. Nothing was too much trouble for the cheerful staff. The food/drink and service were second to none. Good variety of food and drink on the menu. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Possibly the worst restaurant I have ever eaten in. There was nothing Italian about it. The food took ages to arrive and every item was awful. The cooks did not know what they were doing. The waitresses were sullen and the Manager indifferent. I cannot leave any helpful comments except do not visit this place!

This is my new favourite pizza place the staff are very kind the owner is my brothers friends dad and he is very nice I recommend the garlic bread and a classic margarita

Been a few times, the food is always excellent and great value for money. They seem to employ a lot of young people and they seem to do a really good job of training them up. The kitchen staff are always very smart, and look so professional and calm. The Tiramisu might be the best I have ever had! I really enjoy visiting, but it’s good reputation means you’ll prob need to book.

Lovely Saturday evening supper at Picasso Express Eastbourne. Delicious food, great service and attention from the staff in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

We have had a wonderful meal last Saturday evening. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxing. We throughly enjoyed the food and they let us bring our own cake, well brownies and we ordered some of the amazing ice cream to go along side after. Thanks for attentive and welcoming service from the staff

We visited Picasso Express this week as a large group of 35 and despite being so many of us, the evening went without a hitch. Everyone enjoyed their food and there were plenty of staff on hand to ensure everyone was happy and looked after. Sam was very attentive and ensured the night went smoothly. The place looks great and there was a really lovely atmosphere all round with smiling, friendly staff. I had the carbonara which I really enjoyed - there wasn't an empty plate to be seen! Thank you - we will definitely be coming again.

Have previously visited this restaurant and had a fantastic meal, but went for a family meal last Saturday and things had changed. We were ignored for over half an hour, not even offered drinks, the menu has been changed and favourite dishes, removed. In desperation my husband ordered a chicken pizza, which was so dry he couldn't eat it. We waited so long for our food, they sent a complimentary starter to share to our table, which was a kind gesture, but food when it eventually arrived was far short of the previous standard. We accept this is an Italian restaurant, serving mainly pizza and pasta dishes, but surely there should be a fish option for those who are unable to eat the main choices, for whatever reasons.

Went in as a group of 7 for an impromptu dinner. The environment is lovely, staff friendly and the food and drinks were fantastic. So so glad you guys have come to old town we will be back soon! Thanks for a delicious meal.
