Pho in Manchester

Called in on Easter Sunday evening… seated quickly.. friendly service but after that it was disappointing. Had the summer rolls which we have eaten many times.. this time they were totally edible but the soft casing was hard at one end… like dried out. No need to be like this of made freshly and stored appropriately. Soup for husbands main was fine however curry and rice was lukewarm with rice that was hard to touch… maybe reheated incorrectly? Nothing so bad to make it inedible but just much lower than the standards we have come to associate with Pho. Please get back to your old standards.. for now we will take a break from Pho.

Great food, loved that you could make alterations such as adding more chilli to a dish but more importantly amazing customer service, really friendly waiters and super helpful for anything you may need. Overall lovely experience!

We booked a table here, turned up at the booked time and were told by an incredibly rude member of staff to go and join the long queue outside and the fact we had booked a table didn't matter. No point booking a table here. Avoid

They had me at no compromise for gluten free eaters. Lovely Vietnamese options, with knowledgeable staff to assist. Rice, noodles and soup all excellent.

My first taste of Vietnamese cuisine and I really enjoyed it. Just need to practice using chopsticks! Look as though they are renovating part of the restaurant, but it did not stop the speed of service nor the quality of the food.

Cherrful a s smily waiters but alsa :Worst experience for the 4 of us. Extensive menus but had no prawns, no shrimps, or beef for the dishes. Had no coconut ice cream either. They had to split a portion to feed two at original price. Total price for four was over £148 including a few drinks but it was a disgrace. Apologise don't cut the mustard under these circumstances !

We waited here for almost ten minutes, were seen by at least 3 members of staff, one of which walked past us 3 times - the girl with purple and black hair - all the staff ignored us completely even though it was just after 4 pm so not like it was evening rush!! We eventually got tired of waiting and being so rudely ignored and left and went to Vapiano where 3 members of staff acknowledged us within less than 1 minute!!

These Girls Run / Pho event. Came here with the TGR girlie's after our 10k run, what a gorgeous afternoon. The food was delicious, I really enjoyed my Veggie Curry 👌🏼 and the Cripsy Spring rolls were lush also the 'Apple, mint & lime' juice was lovely too. Would highly recommend Pho ❤️

Seated fairly quickly but then it took 20 mins until someone came and took our order for drinks, this was at 4pm so it was fairly quiet. We thought we better order 2 drinks and the food at the same time. The staff were quite often just chatting (group of four) and not waiting the tables. Food was ok, not special though.

Pho was one of the restaurants we found because we had been in a restaurant next door the night before. The Pho is a Vietnamese restaurant within the Corn Exchange, meaning they had seats 'outside' in the Corn Exchange building, giving the indoor-outdoor experience. Vietnamese dining isn't our usual cuisine, but the restaurant looked appealing, and the dishes others were eating attracted us. Chopsticks are the standard eating impliments but they were able to provide knives and forks for those of us who are not chopsticks experts! The food is authentic vietnamese and delicious - even the coffee is authentic. The staff were happy to answer our questions and even anticipated some.

We came for lunch, we were seated and ordered pretty quickly and the tables around us filled up and ordered too. Then nothing for ages, nobody around us was getting anything either but the waiting staff had all gone awol so nobody to speak to. Eventually the waiter appeared and said that there was a problem with the printer in the kitchen, none of the orders had gone through. It didn't stack up really, all the customers had noticed nothing was coming out of the kitchen, I can't believe the waiting staff hadn't noticed and done something about it. The staff didn't seem interested or bothered and the food still took an age to arrive. To be fair once it did arrive the food was well received, I enjoyed the pho. But they'll be waiting a long time for my next visit.

I've been twice during my 1-week visit to Manchester! Phenomenal service, great brisket pho, and entrées. Music isn't too loud. Can't recommend more!

Not been for a while and while everything was good it was certainly not as good as previously. The food was good particularly the starters. Service was okay but could have been more helpful with menu explanation’s. We would try again but found it disappointing compared to previous visits.

Cannot fault the food here - Its amazing. The service on the other hand is poor to say the least. In most restaurants, you are asked if you want a drink. Not here! Having reviewed the menu and placed them on the table, 10 minutes later I had to call over a waiter to take an order. I also had to attract a waiters attention - again taking quite some time, to refill a sauce pot. Sadly by the time they did so, the associated food had gone stone cold. Please train your staff to actually attend tables correctly, you add a service charge to the Bill without asking, so how about you actually provide a service? Again - I cannot actually fault the food here, just teh level of service.

Pho is located in the Corn Exchange building. The service is great as is the foods. Vegetarian friendly and very conscious of allergies. Recommended.

Having emailed Pho and giving them opportunity to reply to my experience, I received nothing so here goes on Trip Advisor. My wife and I went to Pho on Friday 27th October arriving approximately 5.30pm. We went for an early meal out to celebrate a birthday and had also booked a show later in the evening in Manchester. Initially the service was good from the waitress who took our food and drink order and the restaurant was fairly quiet. We had ordered a starter and mains and the starter arrived, which was really nice. However, I did notice that the service was becoming a bit hit and miss and looking around seemed disorganised. Potential customers were arriving and queuing outside, some were shown to tables and others walked off, as they were left without anyone attending to them. We then had to ask for another drink as no one came to our table. I did think the wait for the mains was getting a little long and now I was clock watching as we had a show to get to. A male waiter came over and offered us a free drink acknowledging there was a delay for our mains and apologised. I thought if this has been recognised then our mains would be next out. But no, other diners continued to be served, still no mains. The restaurant was filling up and diners arriving were being served whilst we still waited. An hour and 20 minutes had passed and I asked the waiter about our meals, saying this was now ridiculous and embarrassing. The waiter apologised and said he would go and find out. Before he returned I asked a waitress to cancel my meal. The waitress was in discussion with a male who appeared to be the floor manager who could not be bothered to come over to explain to me what had happened, however the waitress returned and said the meal was ready but I said we had to go as we had a show to go to, she offered to box it up so we could take it free of charge but I explained it was not possible to sit in a theatre with a take away meal. She apologised, provided the bill, we paid and walked out. Yes, not even an offer to scrap the £30 drinks and starter bill. I was not going to let this ruin our night out but in truth the service was awful, in 30 years of dining out in Manchester this has never happened before. I still cannot believe a manager did not speak to us (or reply to an email) but instead treated us with total contempt. There are other Vietnamese restaurants in Manchester that I will visit but sadly not yours again.

I really want to give a five, but every time I go something stops me. The food is great and usually is, we had a big variety of dishes, all good, drinks great but three let downs this time: 1) big service charge on the bill for what is always mediocre service for various reasons. 2) the side plates and table given to us were pretty grubby 3) found out at the end it was card only -only had cash. Yes, that’s maybe unusual now, but that’s how we prefer to pay. If we known at the start, we’d have gone elsewhere. Would I go back after this time? Sad to say, but Probably not.

I used to love going to Pho when I lived in London but my experience at the Manchester branch was extremely disappointing. Service was poor - we had to ask to order after nobody came over and when the food came it was lukewarm as it had been sat on the counter for a while before being brought over to us. More disappointing was the food - I ordered the Super Greens Pho with Steak and I could barely find any steak in it - it was basically noodles and lukewarm broth; the steak noodle dish we ordered equally had barely any meat in it. In constras to Wagamama's Chicken Ramen where you get a healthy portion of chicken this was extremely disappointing. Won't be going back anytime soon.

They mislaid our main order and as a result we missed our planned train home. Despite attending to our drinks, staff failed to notice that our main courses had been forgotten.

Located in the corn exchange nice interior clean and spacious inside service good I got the rice bowl and am so glad I did it was delicious and a big portion definitely recommend and will return in the future

Great service from knowledgeable staff and lovely fresh food cooked to order. Loads of choice too if you need to avoid allergens like gluten and lactose. Noodle dishes are really filling. Seafood spring rolls are lush!

The food was SO good tonight. Chef was on point. Chelsea is amazing and so are her colleagues. She really made the night very special for us and we'll definitely be back soon.

Inedibly sweet curry, chicken in ramen seemingly designed mainly to give the jaw a workout and coffee drippers that defy the laws of physics would all be acceptable if it wasn’t for the pre added tip. And I always tip! Really soured the visit.
