Lovely for fresh hot pho and pork summer rolls. Service is quick and friendly. Recommend

Vietnamese restaurant in china town. I've been here a few times before, and even my vietnamese friend said it's pretty authentic. My favourite main is the bun. It's a thickish round type noodle in soup. The crab one isn't spicy, but the normal meat one is. I normally get it with the extra cooked beef, and the cooked beef is also quite nice as it's thinly cut and not dry or tough. The bean sprout pancake appetiser was also quite nice. Nicely deep fried and fragrant. Eat whilst it's hot because once it gets cold, it's not nice at all. Can be quite oily.

Been coming here for nearly 10 years and the no. 29 garlic beef cannot be beaten!

The staff were very friendly and attentive. Generous portion size and yummy food. they weren’t stingy with the meat which is appreciated. I liked that there was a table where you can help yourself to seasoning/condiments because it can be a bit awkward when you have to ask. Will be my new post work pho lunch spot!

There is indeed a saying that the soup base is too salty. It is salty but not umami. It is almost the same as the seasonings at home.

Service is so quick and food comes out quickly. We were very impressed at the speed. The food is delicious and great value for money (large portions). I love the bun bo hue and the won ton noodles. The spring rolls are OK. Else I'd highly recommend.

Authentic Vietnamese restaurant, the Pho was delicious and the portion size was generous.

Cozy place, friendly stuff. I ordered Sommer roll, spring roll and one soup noodles. Feel a bit like North Vietnam flavors and tasteful.

Authentic and tasty Vietnamese food. The slow drip Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk is eloquently smooth and the Bo Lu Lac was extremely exceptional. Thank you to the talented chefs and friendly staff for providing a warm/friendly atmosphere.

Great tasting rice noodles. Pho bo Chin is delicious. It's a restaurant located in Chinatown in the middle of the city, so there's nothing special about the atmosphere, but the pho is delicious. Served quickly. It felt like the employees were a bit confused, but it wasn't uncomfortable. There are a lot of people even outside of lunch time. It's good for eating alone.

We went to Chinatown and suddenly decided to eat here. It was such a good decision. The restaurant is a bit hidden but well worth it. The waiters are super friendly, the food is just excellent and also the prices aren't that high despite it being pretty much in the centre of the city. You have a wide variety of Vietnamese food, which you can also customise a bit to you own taste.

I know you can not expect anything from a non-service charge restaurant, but the experience really made me really uncomfortable. There is a male waiter with crocs, shorts and a t- shirt on. He asked me to sit at one of the tables (I was by myself) and it was quite quiet at the time, so I sat on the 4 seat table, but he put the menu on the 2 seat table next to me and said nothing about changing the table. I would not say anything about changing but just simply putting the menu on another table is quite rude. Plus, I took my cardigan and jacket off, he did not even ask if it was okay to put the cardigan on the chair but did it himself. When I ordered, I just ordered a noodle soup, then he was intending to walk away, I have not finished the order yet, so basically any starters and drink was ordered when he was walking away and looking back. Again, nothing major, the food was excellent, but the service just gave me a condescending attitude, it costs nothing to be kind and nice.

Food is great!! Banh mi reminded me of home, however I wish there were cucumbers and pate in there! The restaurant is gorgeous on the inside, I went during a quiet time but could see how it could get cramped during dinner/lunch rush. Everyone was friendly too. The pho was fresh and delicious and the herb plate with the soup was a nice touch as always. My partner also enjoyed his beef and rice and pork skewers :)

I went to a restaurant today and ordered 'bún thịt bò xào.' To my surprise, I found raw beef in the dish; all the other meat was cooked except for these few pieces. I lost my appetite and almost felt like vomiting. When I called the waiter, he initially guaranteed that the meal would be free, but when it came time to pay, they only offered a 60% discount. His reason was that it was medium rare, but this information was neither provided when I ordered nor mentioned on the menu. The worst part was their complete lack of apology when addressing the issue; it felt like they just wanted to brush it off. The service attitude was incredibly poor, and I also found that this restaurant has poor hygiene. I can’t believe this place has survived so long. I have no intention of returning.

Sure one of the best pho I've ever tasted. Rich flavor with authentic taste. Maybe the service of the waiter need to be evaluated and be more professional and polite to the customer thanks 😊

everything was great, good authentic Vietnamese food that is freshly cooked. Would go again aside from the unsatisfactory service from a waitress who worked on the 27th of October in the evening shift at about 5pm that needs additional training in proper decorum when dealing with paying customers. Nice eyelashes though.

Stumbled upon the shop by chance and, my gosh! Their noodles? I might've found my new favorite in town! Super nice service, waiting time doesn't even feel like waiting and the staff was so polite. Overall I'm impressed and next time I'll surely try a soup ;)

Unhygienic Food, Poor Customer Service! The food quality was alarming, and the owner's attitude was unacceptable. When we brought our concerns about their were a hair inside of the spring roll to the owner's attention, we expected an apology and resolution. Instead, we faced: · Disregard for our concerns · No apology or acknowledgment of the issues · Unfair treatment, with some customers receiving preferential treatment The owner seemed uninterested in addressing our concerns, failing to provide a satisfactory explanation or solution . Given the subpar food quality and poor customer service, The owner's lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction is alarming

I’ve been going here for years and I’m surprised I haven’t written a review yet. As my favourite spot in Manchester, I’m a regular goer - and I’ve never been let down! I’ve taken several friends here and all have ended up taking their own friends and family. Expect lovely food, great service and I highly recommend the raw beef pho.

Horrible service They treat white customers who are very enthusiastic. When they meet Asian customers, they have a dead face.

10/10 recommend to go give it a try. It's a cozy space with nice interior decoration, I also appreciate the playlist running in the background. The pho I ordered was so flavourful and went well with the side aromatics and bean roots, perfect for a rainy cold day today. Prices are reasonable and staff was great (not hovering around all the time which a positive personal preference).

Ordered crabmeat pho and got the runs .. My friend ordered the same pho and she got diarrhoea that night too. My other friends ordered beef pho and pork rice, they were fine. Service is good, we came quite late but they still arranged a table for a small group of people.

Very poor experience. The hygiene of this store is really bad! Having lunch in this store, we found that there was hair curled in the spring roll. The clerk and manager not only did not apologise in time, but also treated them indifferently. They only apologised at our repeated requests. And I think the clerks in this store are racist. His attitude towards Europeans is completely different from that towards Asians.

Incredible authentic Vietnamese spot. Speedy service and lovely staff. We had the beef pho and wonton pho - all flavours absolutely amazing, couldn't compliment it enough! Definitely worth a visit.

I recently visited this restaurant, and while the food was decent, the service left much to be desired. The pho was solid with a good broth, but the spring rolls were mediocre, and the Pho Special with beef cubes was just okay. The service, however, was where things really went downhill. Our server, Jimmy, was inattentive and unprofessional. We asked for sauce and never received it. While other tables were served bean sprouts with their pho, we weren’t, and Jimmy didn’t make any effort to address this. He never followed up with us during the meal but had plenty of time to chat with other tables nearby. When we asked for the bill, instead of bringing it to us, Jimmy yelled at another busy server to handle it while he stood by the door texting on his phone. When confronted, he claimed the restaurant was busy, but clearly had time to be on his phone rather than attending to customers. I’ve attached a photo of Jimmy on his phone after we asked for the bill. The food might have been decent, but with service like this, it’s hard to justify returning.

Great customer service, I think it's worth the try. The prices are reasonable, the food quality depends on the meal you choose. They gave my boyfriend a fork and didn't laugh about it.

This is my second visit. The food is delicious and hot. The price is reasonable and staff are really nice. However, the environment is a bit dark and warm. And the seats are so close that we can hear clearly what the neighbours are talking about. But the food is really really good. So I may go again and try not go during peak hours.

The cost as well as the food and service.

It's okay. In addition to cilantro, only bean sprouts and mint leaves are provided as vegetables, and only sriracha sauce is provided without hoisin sauce. Lemon and Sichuan pepper are provided. Overall, I am satisfied and would like to visit again.

Great Vietnamese restaurant with great food

Tenía wonton y char siu pho que tenía buen tamaño de porción por £ 12 y un café vietnamita por £ 4. La comida era buena. Nos atendió un camarero con gafas y una señora de pelo corto que era amable. Todo fue genial hasta que fue tiempo de pagar. Fuimos a la caja a pagar y yo fui el último de mis amigos en pagar. Cuando me acerqué pensé que la camarera me iba a preguntar qué comía como lo hacía con los demás, pero en su lugar todo lo que decía era 'toque, toque, solo toque' con una actitud llena y sin servicio al cliente en absoluto. Ni siquiera me preguntó si quería un recibo. Mi total que calculé fue de £ 16 y luego me enteré de que pagué £ 17. 50 . Sin embargo, ella ni siquiera confirmó conmigo o sobre el cargo por servicio. Así que recibí el trato diferente y grosero de ella comparado con mis amigos. La camarera tenía el pelo en un moño y un poco de maquillaje, quería describirla para que quede claro no todo el personal allí es grosero aparte de ella. ¡Nunca me habían tratado de esa manera antes y si lo supiera, nunca habría pagado ese cargo por servicio! ¡Debería recibir entrenamiento y no actuar como tiene derecho! Fuimos hoy y terminamos alrededor de las 8 pm ish como una mesa de 5. No quiero volver allí nunca más y eso es todo por ella.

Good place to try authentic Vietnamese food

It used to be an affordable restaurant to eat at, the service is quick and the food is outstanding. I used to recommend it, but with the price changes not anymore. Used to be a returning customer. Not coming back.

Great atmosphere and tasty food

Emm, there are obviously a lot of empty tables in the middle of the store, but they brought me to a seat next to a very narrow staircase. I don’t know if it’s because of racial discrimination.

We usually go to the other local Vietnamese restaurant, but decided to check this one out as we needed to do some shopping at the supermarket. We started with chicken wings(7b) crispy and tangy sauce. Followed by a beef pho and chicken breast pho. Broth was delicious and portion size excellent value. I AM PHO is a hidden gem.

Warm soup which all Asian people looking for . But the beef/ meat is not in good quality. Overall the favourite was alright

I was very keen on trying the frog legs and hence made my way to this place. I ordered the lemongrass fried frog legs. To my surprise, they were very tasty. The staff were busy amongst themselves although it wasn't busy. The next time I wanted to take my partner there and was surprised to know their kitchen closed at 8.30 pm and they do not accept orders post that. We reached at 8.33 pm and were denied entry. But I am still looking forward to dining here in the future. For the one dish that I tried, I would rate it a 4/5.

My most favourite Vnmese food in Manchester. We came over on Sunday lucnh time without booking, so had to be in a long queue in front of the house. However, the staffs constantly informed us and let us know how is everything going on. The restaurant was full filled by custormer but staffs worked efficiently, food were served fast. I ordered Pho and I think I love it.

Whenever I visit Manchester, I know I will get straight up Vietnamese food here. No thrills, good food.

Casual, fuss free cafe style Vietnamese restaurant with decoration touches that are very heartwarming. Sauce station is available rather than sitting on the tables, so help yourself. Food is bought out quite quickly and was quite decent. The rieu was just crab, which means pescatarians go fish. Added extras too to pack in the brotien. TV had the footie on and big fans cooling down the space. Payment can be taken via amex.

We arrived for lunch because of the good reviews, on a rainy day, and being down some stairs in the middle of so many businesses in Chinatown you may think that it won't be much, but it has a very good atmosphere, very attentive and friendly service and delicious food . The Pho was delicious and filling and perfect to regain energy!

Simple Vietnamese food done well. Our party was quite large (8) so we booked a table for lunch, and I'm glad we did because this basement restaurant in Chinatown got pretty busy while we were there. I had the beef steak with very thin noodles. So fresh and delicious, and not too heavy: perfect for lunch. Next time, I'll add some chilli sauce but even without it, I enjoyed it (which isn't always the case for me!). We also ordered a few portions of plain pancakes for our group to share. It's something I wouldn't have chosen myself but I think I will next time I visit. Deep-fried indulgence with a nice dipping sauce! All in all, a great lunch experience.

Loved the experience here. Very reasonable prices, especially in comparison to its neighbours. Super quick service. One of the quickest I have ever come across. Big portions. The food is delicious- loved the fried chicken wings in fish sauce, chicken pho and prawn with rice. Summer rolls were also good. Huge portion of prawn crackers. All the dishes had their own character. Very light and easy on the stomach. Only one of the dishes wasn't to my taste- rice and chicken with lemongrass. Didn't like the flavour and the texture of just this one item. Everything else is highly recommended. The different varieties of Vietnamese beer are also very good. Worth trying!

Came to eat last Thursday. The food was amazing and i couldn’t be happier with my server she took great care of us and made sure everything was ok with our meals and that we were happy. Definitely would recommend. It was so good on Thursday i had to come back today

Food was nice and they were generous with the portion size, but the customer service was pretty bad. We were waiting to be seated, after I said table for two please, a waitress pointed the table and we sat down. When we were ready to order, my partner wanted to get the jerk beef salad so I asked what kind of salad is that, is it like papaya salad? She said no it’s not, what do you mean? I said is it like papaya salad that is spicy and sour, have fish sauce in? She said it has fish sauce. I didn’t bother to ask more because she was quite rude already at this point. No smile, didn’t even say full sentence. Then my partner wanted a lemongrass chicken and it comes with rice or noodles, so he asked the waitress what kind of noodles is that? She said boiled noodles, again I just wanna make her life easier so I told my partner I would pick noodles. Then my turn to order a main, I ordered garlic marinated beef steak with noodles, I asked is it like a salad type noodles? She said what? It’s boiled noodles. I had to repeat myself again and she finally said no it’s not mixed, salad is on the side. Then other people come and put down the food and at the end we asked for be bill and the same lady came over, we asked for a box to wrap up our food, she asked, what is it you wanna wrap up? We had to point the food on the table and said this is what we wanna wrap up. I just feel she was rude and I don’t think we did anything that deserved to be treated like this. I used to come here alone for lunch and bring my friends over but I don’t think I would ever come here again.

Best place to eat in China Town by some distance. The place is reassuring plain and simple, but the food is excellent, fresh, vibrant and full of Asian flavours. Summer rolls a stand out!

It’s definitely a no frills/no fuss Vietnamese restaurant. We ordered the: 🥢 bun bo hue (spicy beef vermicelli noodle soup) 🥢bun rieu cua (crab noodle soup) 🥢pho bo (beef noodle soup) 🥢ech xao sa ot (chilli and lemongrass frogs legs) 🥢 prawn salad 🥢crispy chicken wings 🥢sweet and spicy chicken wings 🥢banh mi with the bbq pork skewers (off menu) 🥢iced coffee You definitely need to add sriracha/chilli oil/hoisin sauce/lime/fish sauce to your own preferences (not just here but every Vietnamese place you go to). I’m a bun bo hue fan as it’s not something I ever eat at home so I always like to eat it outside! Extra spicy please. The frogs legs were *chef’s kiss”, light, crispy, hint of chilli and lemongrass paired with the sweet chilli dip 😩. It is such a moreish dish. Frogs legs have a very similar texture to chicken so I’d definitely recommend getting these. Both the chicken wing dishes were great, the batter is light so the chicken is crispy, not crunchy, and lightly seasoned. The sweet and chilli ones is for those of you who love fish sauce! It’s not over powering at all and complementary of the sweet and spicy flavours. Chicken done WELL. If you do not like fish sauce, politely, this is not for you. The banh mi was so tasty, the baguette was light and crispy and the inside was fluffy (not dense like a French baguette). It would’ve been better with a bit more of the meat filling but otherwise everything else was great. The pickled veg was still crunchy and adds a nice “sour” contrast to the bbq pork skewers. Add sriracha for spice and you have yourself a perfect banh mi. Whatever you do, make sure you get the salad - don’t say I didn’t put you on.

Delicious vegetarian Pho noodles always with a generous portion of beansprouts and mint leaves. The portions are huge. Always more than what we can finish. One of our favourite places to eat in Manchester!
