have been coming here since they first opened , quick service, friendly staff got served by phoebe, she was polite,friendly and checked if everything was okay, i would highly recommend coming to viet guy.

Fabulous food, fabulous service. We went to the restaurant to try new cuisine and heard great news about it and we were not disappointed. The soup and spring rolls were highlight of the meal for me. My daughter who is a very fussy eater loved the food. Served by Pheebs, who was amazing. She explained the menu for us, checked make sure we was ok asking if we needed extra drinks when we’d finished. She could see we’d not eaten everything and got us takeout containers so we could bring food home with us. Lovely friendly restaurant and can see by how packed it was that it’s good. Cannot wait to come back and sample more dishes.

We had a really good night there. Both the starters and main were really good. The seitan dishes were excellent. The service is was excellent. The checked up on us and were really helpful explaining the menu to us. Can't wait to go back.

Patwa: The plies are nice. The food ties smooth and gentle in my mouth. The people who worked here were friendly and looked after us well. English: Lovely place to eat. The food was delicate on the palette but really nice. The staff was brilliant.

Great Vietnamese food in a café style environment

I didn't think anywhere in Manchester could compete with VietShack. But VietGuy is a hidden gem. Walked past at lunch, and it was very busy, ordered a couple of dishes and it was delicious. The prawn summer rolls were awesome.

Immense flavour! They are able to cater for milder palates also and have a fantastic range of Gluten free options. Staff showed good knowledge of allergens in dishes and conscientiously checked up when unsure

The pho had an exceptional depth of flavour to it, salt and pepper squid for starter was full of flavour and homemade lemonade was tasty and refreshing. Staff were friendly and helpful and there's free parking outside (if there's a space) on Sundays! Looking forward to our next visit already

Poped in for lunch with my family , we had a nice warm welcome by the owner Wendy and the service from the staff was great . Had the lunch time special of coconut sizzling chicken which was delicious and great value for money . Definitely will be heading back soon .

To say plain and simple - it was great. Fast service, great food, good beer and well priced. First thing what I liked when saw menu - no chips, chicken nuggets or other crap what usually is introduced in menus just to lure in more people. So that was first hint that food will be great. For starters we shared Bún bò hué soup. Bowl is huge and could easily be as main dish for majority of people. After that and beer each (only two options available, but both are really good) came the mains. Bún hà nòi (vermicelli noodles with pork and nuts + some salad on side) and Bún sài gòn (stir fry with duck on top of vermicelli). Both tasted amazing and we are sure of return to try other mouth watering offers.

The food and service is always great, but my favourite thing about Viet Guy is their children's menu - adult food made kid friendly! My toddler loves the fried rice which is carefully prepared for little ones with the meat cut really small, minimal salt but bursting with herbs and ginger for flavour. Would recommend the Summer rolls here too - they're delicious!

Absolutely amazing food and not pricey at all. The seabass is a must try and the rare beef pho!

It was very warm despite having just opened. The waitresses were very friendly and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. I ordered Vietnamese rolls and seitan Pho, both dishes were delicious but the Pho was extraordinary. The quality/price ratio is great. Highly recommended!!!

The attitude and services are really bad, they got at least 6 empty tables for 45mins but keep saying we can’t get in due to busy and can’t eat in due to without reservation.

Wow what a great place that was recommended by friends, the food was amazing, service was excellent. Saw a lot of fella HK pepole come while we were eating there so it must be good.

2nd visit. Great food. 1st visit huge soup. 2nd a stir fry. Both great dishes. Fresh summer rolls lovely. VN coffee took me back. Frozen "deep fried" ice cream not so good as it seemed straight from freezer rather than freshly fried. This place is a real gem and great value.

Such dependably delicious food, has gradually become one of our favourite places to eat in Manchester. The summer rolls in particular have to be the best in the city. Pho is lovely, prices are reasonable, and service is always quick and friendly even when busy (which they usually are!)

If you want Vietnamese food, this is THE place to go! Always busy and always a delight 👏

The food was ok but nothing special. The staff could definitely do with smiling a lot more and being more friendly. Kids dishes were good value but overall disappointing service.

Never tried Vietnamese food until now and what a first time experience it was.

I come here quite regularly to order take-outs and not gonna lie the food is always amazing. For a Vietnamese restaurant they surely do well on the basics - Pho, chargrilled meat, spring rolls etc but what surprises me is the super delicious noodles with fish/ fish cake and the fried ice cream that I've never found anywhere else in the UK. Oh and the Bo luc lac (shakeing beef) is probably one of the best beef dishes I've ever had. Price is very reasonable, only less than £13 for a main dish that can already fill you up. Also very quick with take outs (I often wait for like 5 - 10 mins). Nothing to complain really.

I dined here on a Saturday evening I managed to reserve quite late in the afternoon. There are high chairs available. Despite how busy it was the service was very fast! The food was authentic and enjoyable. We had starters plus the seabass with mango sauce and salad, and duck pho.

We came as a family of 3. We all really enjoyed it. My 3 year old loved the chicken fried rice. We also shared chicken wings and spring rolls followed by pho. It was all very tasty. The staff were friendly. Good value for money.

Always love coming to this place - the Pho is to die for. So delicious and flavourful, and, bonus - it's healthy! The staff are so lovely too - everyone has been so polite and friendly. All meals we've tried here were delicious (stew, noodle dishes, curry, spring rolls, summer rolls, salt and pepper squid, duck and pancakes, pad Thai... We've made our way through most of the menu now!), but the raw beef Pho (it cooks in the heat of the broth) remains my firm favourite 😋😋😋

Had been meaning to give this restaurant a try after so many recommendations from friends. Well, I'm glad I did! Delicious, fresh, piping hot food, at a resonable price and plenty of it too - they don't skimp on the portions here! Service was efficient and friendly. Many Asian famiies here - always a good sign. Advise booking to avoid disappointment at weekends. Will be going more often now I've tried it. Yum!

Very nice traditional Vietnamese food. I had the salad and pho soup. Very tastey broth and the salad was so fresh and different. A lovely taste to it. Ill be returning for sure!

My favourite Viet restaurant in Manchester. Everything is delicious, highly recommend the pancake starter, salt and pepper squids/chicken wings. Love their Pho with chicken which is amazingly tender. For drink, their homemade lemonade is fantastic!

This was our 5th visit here over the past couple of years and, although the restaurant is a 40 min drive away, it is always well worth the effort. This time was no exception - we shared some Fresh Summer Rolls (prawn) as starter, then bowls of Pho (rare steak) and as usual both were excellent - fresh and tasty. The food has been consistently superb on our visits and the staff are friendly and helpful - well done!

You will enjoy dining at Viet Guy, The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is delicious and the staff friendly. There is something for everybody. Only little thing , make sure you are clear on what you order, I have received the wrong orders on a few occasions,I felt there was a little difficulty in communication. Staff changed the dishes without fuss. I absolutely recommend the coconut sizzling and the steamed rice with meat 🙌🏻

Absolutely love Viet Guy and have been a few times. Food is really tasty with 80% being Vietnamese and the other 20% being other Asian-inspired dishes, such as Pad Thai. The Beef Pho and Ban Xeo are absolutely outstanding. And the deep fried ice cream is also a winner. Service is more akin to a serviced café than a proper sit-down place, but if you know to expect this then you won't be disappointed on the day.

We had summer rolls , salt n pepper squid and papaya salad starter followed by coconut sizzler and south Vietnamese noodle dishes . Amazing, fabulous, delicious 😋 😋 Change of plans led me to a little gem of a restaurant this lunchtime 😋 I was welcomed like long lost family even though I've never been before 👏 The starter os papaya salad with prawns was so fresh & tasty, I feel warm days should start with this treat 😋 a delicious warming heat permeated the dish & I loved the crunch of the peanuts throughout 😋 I decided to follow with the Vietnamese chicken curry & jasmine rice, the curry had beautifully cooked & tasty vegetables alongside the plentiful portion of chicken in a delicate mild curry sauce, and who wouldn't love the presentation of the rice 💙, perfectly reflecting the love put into the food they serve Definitely recommend a trip in here, lunch or evening 😋 💙💙

Quite surprised to know there is kids menu, £6 each with number of varieties! The foods are brought to the table very fast, taste good, very authentic Vietnamese pho, it is quite hard to have tasty 'noodles with warm soup' in UK, I will definitely come back again!
