Pho in York

Came in super late as we both got stuck at work, Cait was super welcoming and we ordered promptly. Half way through our food we got a decent check back that meant we had time to ask for our bill as we didn’t want to prolong their close by coming in so late. Incredibly welcoming, we didn’t feel rushed even though we came in so late and even still we had the same service you’d expect from a restaurant at their peak opening times. If you haven’t been to this Phō then you’re missing out. Solid set of staff.

Food was gorgeous especially the crispy spring rolls. Staff were extremely welcoming and very friendly in particular Sally. Drinks were delicious too Our dogs were greeted with a bowl of water and a fuss. Loved it so much we ordered take out the night after. It was just as lovely

The food was awful and inauthentic + stale and mouldy?!!! Also did some research and there trademarking the word pho which is the Vietnamese national dish meaning AUTHENTIC restaurants can't use the word at risk of being sued. Bad food + bad business practices. don't waste your money go to a local chain ran by people who know what a real bowl of pho tastes like xoxo

Delicious as always. This location is a brilliant one. Wonderful staff, very attentive and welcoming. We’re vegan and gluten free and can eat most things on the menu. We can highly recommend the tofu and mushroom curry, the bun noodles, the pho and the fried noodles. We absolutely love the green papaya salad too which is super fresh.

My go-to restaurant for noodle soup in York.

We visited Pho last Sunday evening while visiting York. We didn’t book but was well looked after. Service was attentive, venue was fantastic and food amazing. I’m quite fussy but found food on the menu to my taste. I had the chicken curry and rice and to this day is the tastiest curry I’ve had in years (and the rest of our party agree’d) Highly recommend🙏

Hot, good taste, very good price

We love Pho as we feel safe for gluten free. Everyone is friendly here and it's not too expensive for an evening out. Would recommend trying. There are a variety of dishes, not just Pho, to suit everyone.

They gave us very poorly prepared, lukewarm, bland food with no authentic Vietnamese flavors. I have no idea how this place can be rated so high. Maybe it's because tourists may not know great Vietnamese food like we have the chance to experience going to many excellent real authentic Vietnamese restaurants all over. The good points were the ingredients were fresh, the restaurant layout is fine and the waiters were both friendly at first.

Excellent food, so much flavor. Waiter was very helpful and the whole staff is extremely knowledgeable and careful about gluten free handling, so it’s a great place for celiacs!

Got served by Sam today and they were great. Really went above beyond and should be recognised for they're outstanding efforts.

The best meal we've had in a long time. I had the beef with bettel leaf followed by the fish curry special. It was amazing. Hubby's starter of summer rolls followed by Chicken noodle pho was very tasty too. The only disappointment of the meal was we had no room for pudding! We'll be back soon.

The food here is amazing, specially the pho noodle soup that I had was delicious. The vibe and song is also great. I was served by Monika who was lovely and sweet.

Had the hot and spicy chicken noodle soup. It was not actually that spicy but still tasted really nice! They also kindly added an egg to my soup at my request. Lovely service and very attentive staff - also very easy itemised bill split and student discount :)

We got the spring rolls and summer rolls which were both great! We loved the peanut sauce. Then for dinner we got pork rice bowl, beef curry, and meatball vermecelli. Everything was delicious especially the curry! It was so good i forgot to take pictures lol

The food here was amazing. The menu has so many dishes to choose, plus the majority are healthy. There is also a specials menu. I had a fish curry which came with rice, portion was decent size and the sauce was soooo good. If the weather is good, there's a lovely seating area out the back. Staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely visit again.

wow worst experience ever, after told by the receptionist "manager" kate they can't make food for group 7 or more and yet there are more than 7 people behind that went in, twice both lunch and dinner time. What a horrible customer service. The owner really need get a new manager. 3 groups behind us had no reservations, because we did ask them. P.S. our group contained 4 adults and 4 kids, if this restaurant are not welcome kids it should say so, rather than making excuses of we are short staffs, we can't make food for party 7 or more. Yet continues welcome 3 more walking groups as we were standing there for 15 minutes. It is OK to omitted mistakes are made rather than manager lying about it.

Absolutely amazing food! I had the summer rolls and a bowl of pho, it was absolutely delicious. The server Monica provided excellent service! Beautiful back garden, comfortable atmosphere.

The food was absolutely fantastic. We had the house pho and it was so tasty! Thank you to chef, Lucy! Lovely atmosphere and helpful staff too.

The food was bad to be honest the only thing that was quite good was the replacement curry we got for the wok noodles which were flavourless like all the rest of the food we had. The waiter who was the manager was really understanding and got us replacements very fast which we appreciated a lot. However wouldn't come again sorry.

We had a lovely meal here, sharing some starters between 4 people. Everything tasted fresh and yummy, staff were very friendly as well!

Absolutely lovely staff and amazing food. I was feeling a little under the weather and came from Wakefield to York just for this pho, it did not disappoint. The food came out piping hot and was exactly what I needed. Cait in particular was so lovely, she was so warm and polite. I would absolutely recommend coming here. They have veggie options and the chicken is halal!

The menu was quite extensive, and a lot are GLUTEN FREE. I had green papaya salad, fresh and crunchy but not enough chilli or peanuts, altho if I had requested earlier the waitress said I could have had more. My friend had a curry, again quite tasty.

I had a tofu Vietnamese curry with cauliflower rice - tasty, not too hot. Kind of rustic bare wood layout which looks good, and good service.

Charlie who served us was fantastic!!! I had several questions which his advice massively helped me choose from drinks to meal and everything he advised me on made it even more perfect. The food is lovely really fresh clean and very filling so i can honestly say we have had the best evening eating here from food to staff it has been perfect! Thank you

Pho, Rice bowl, chargrilled meats, chicken wings and morning glory. The staff clearly love Asian food and were knowledgeable about the dishes and ingredients. Both outdoor and indoor sitting area.

Walk in ask for a table for 5, told us to wait for a sec and will check any table for us but the end up wait for over 15 minutes and said non table available

Nice cozy place to have a hot pho; fhe beef pho tastes better than the chicken pho; the meats were lean so they were a bit chewy; take the pho instead of the rice bowl

What a place and what service, served by Kate and Manika, both wonderful and really took care of us. I'm definitely an awkward eater due to intolerances and they worked with the kitchen to make sure I was accommodated. Both had beautiful meals, exceptionally well cooked and served. I know chains can sometimes be much of a muchness but Kate and Manika made it feel unique and not just a out churning through a table. If you're in York I can't recommend more highly and only hope you get the two of them serving you!

The curry it is really spectacular.

The first impression was that the ratings were not low, so I gave it a try ~ but I came back disappointed. The temperature of Yuhe was not good enough, lukewarm, not hot. The spring rolls were not crispy, 😩. The cocktail was all crushed ice. The only thing I like about it is the kindness and courtesy of the staff 😉

Really nice food and friendly staff. Party of 5 came in on Thursday and had a fantastic meal. I highly recommend the spicy curry beef brisket. Stunning! Thanks guys

Was excited to visit this Vietnamese restaurant and it did not disappoint. Extensive menu with all the classics. The food was all piping hot and very fresh. Loved the crispy spring rolls, satay sauce was delicious. Morning glory cooked to perfection. The chicken curry was super tasty. Generous portion sizes. Friendly service. Definitely worth a visit.

I love that the crab pho I ordered actually came with some salads, it goes so well together! Also there are chilli oil, picked chillis, saratcha sauce and fish sauce on the table to help yourself! Couldn’t really taste the crab in the pho though. Good atmosphere. Would’ve gave it a 5 star, but just confused why I got a different service to the table next to me. They had a cute card came with receipt and was told service charge is optional, but I had non of that, service charge was just added on and no cute card :( ————— Came back here and had beef combo pho, I like the herbs they provide on the side but tbh the broth is not the best. The beef brisket and beef balls were tender but beef steak was over cooked. I’d say the pho is average in general just because the soup base is the most important in this dish. Also ordered prawn summer rolls with chilli sauce. You have an option to choose chilli or peanut sauce, the chilli sauce is not spicy at all but more sweet and sour, goes well with the summer rolls. First time having summer rolls, they taste amazing with the rice noodles and mint inside!

Not been here before but pretty impressive fresh food. Ordered ny food and enjoying my starter when I realised I would miss my train if I did not get going. They wrapped up my main and when I legged it to the station I opened a wonderfully packed and presented house soup with all its component parts.

Fantastic food. I love that there is an option to choose a vegetarian broth so you know exactly what you're getting. Great service and the location is nice.

We visited for a pre-theatre meal, so were in for an early dinner around 4pm. The restaurant was reasonably quiet but still had a nice atmosphere. Key, for us, was that this restaurant allowed us to bring our dog with us. This is excellent and as we were on holiday it meant we could be out for the day and not worry about leaving the dog in the hotel. More places really should be dog friendly. There was a good selection of food to choose from and it was all fresh and very tasty. The staff were excellent, super friendly and made us feel very welcome. This was a great meal at a good price, highly recommended. Especially if you have a furry friend to join you.

Had a wonderful time here this evening, Cate was absolutely fantastic, incredibly efficient and personable. My food allergy was dealt with professionally and put me at ease straight away. Looking forward to when we next dine at Pho.
