Pevensey Starbucks in Wealden

The owner put a birthday candle on a piece of Sherry Trifle Cheesecake and he and his little daughter sang Happy Birthday to me.

Very disappointed Booked at last minute Thought we were lucky to get a table on a Saturday evening. !! Now we know why Arrived to find a private function on ( which we were not told about) 21st birthday with incredibly loud thumping music. Minimal staff on Food adequate but nothing special. Booked to meet with friends, but unable to hold a conversation due to noise. Won’t be returning. Guessing there has been a change of ownership

Food is fantastic, home made chicken lie was brilliantly tasty and filling. Rooms are beautiful and even though I was in a sofa bed, it was very comfy and a great night sleep. Service was amazing. Building is beautiful.

Tried the Hay Waggon, which is under new ownership. Great barbecue with seafood kebabs and amazing local rump steak. Homemade ice creams are to die for. All served up in a wonderful garden

Had lunch on a quiet Tuesday - it was very, very good.
