The lady is very unfriendly. The cafe was empty, I ordered two coffees and waited 15 minutes at the table, I found them tin. I went to the counter and instead of making my coffee she was frying patties. He neither apologized nor justified himself. Never again.

Love this place, everything is really clean, the service is out of this world and the food is 100% authentic, tastes just like what you’d eat in Portugal. The food i presented beautifully in traditional portuguese dishes and every bite give you the same amount of joy. Id recommend the Bifanas, they’re so tender, the bread is beautiful. 10/10, will definitely come back to try different stuff!

Dina’s cosy Portuguese café. Portuguese pastries are the best in the world. You should try freshly baked Jesuita with espresso. That is the taste of heaven. Bacalhau dish is also great. Semi dried cod has deeper flavour than fresh cod fillet.

What an absolutely amazing place with truly incredible food! My friends and I visited this café at the weekend as I am trying to learn Portuguese and had never tried Portuguese food before, and oh my goodness, what a fantastic decision it was to come here! As soon as we stepped in the door, the atmosphere was so cosy and welcoming. The lady running the café, Dina (forgive me if the spelling is wrong), was so welcoming and kind. We ordered a variety of different food and drinks, and everything was cooked to perfection. The taste and texture of everything was just heaven! If you come here you absolutely have to try the pastéis de bacalhau (salted cod fritters), they were to die for! This was my personal highlight of our weekend trip to Brighton and I cannot wait to come back! Muito obrigado! Até breve!

Small and friendly cafe by day come restaurant by evening serving simple Portuguese fare. We enjoyed tuna on Portuguese bread and fried cuttlefish Algarve style for starters followed by the Black Pig cutlet served with Chorizo, short ribs black pudding, game and pork sausage, potatoes and green beans while my dinner partner enjoyed Potugeuse Cod Fish Stew. To finish, an Almond Tart served with ice cream. All was lovely and none left. Service is a little slow but the team are finding their feet and we didn't feel waiting besides its a BYO so we just enjoyed our company and the courses as they arrived. Seating is quite limited but comfortable. I suggest booking ahead.

Went here on a Saturday night for the 4 course dinner - outstanding, authentic Portuguese food (bring your own wine too!) Highlights were the salt cod with black-eyed beans and the porco preto (Portuguese black pig - you must try it!) Run by such a lovely couple too - thank you for your hospitality and generosity, we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Great little coffee shop selling traditional Portuguese snacks like pasteis de bacalhua (salt cod fritters), rissois do camarão (shrimp rissoles), pastel da nata (custard tarts), bollo de arroz (rice flour muffins - my favourite) and tosta mistas (ham and cheese toasties). Croissants etc also available. Good coffee and friendly service.

I had very high hopes coming here but unfortunately the food was not for me. I had the four-course tasting menu and found each course far too similar - they were all (to my palate) rich, sweet, salty dishes, all with a similar soft texture, and even a similar brown/beige colour. I would've liked more variety and colour, and perhaps something crunchy or acidic or fresh and light. The decor was lovely though, and the staff were attentive and friendly.

It's my second visit here. I really like the Cappuccino here, the host is friendly, care about their customers. Many locals come and they managed the shop well.
