ETCI KITCHEN BRIGHTON in Brighton and Hove

This place is interesting. You may enjoy Turkish cuisine in a proper dining environment. But the cuisine falls short of the expectations. We had grilled fish and lamb shank, which were served with rice or Cusco. The appetiser, which is free but is my personal favourite (crisp flat bread). The sides (yoghurt and sauce) are also excellent. I find grilled salmon to be too salty because the abundance of spices took away from the fish's natural freshness. The lam shark, which is another decent dish, tastes more like tangine and is more like steamed meat than grilled meat with curry sauce. We placed an order for tea, and if you order one, the second is for free. In the end, they also provide complimentary desserts. We weren't prepared for the wonderful service that included considerate free starters and tea. The food is not inexpensive, and we anticipate receiving better quality for the money we pay. Overall, the customer service was excellent; nevertheless, the food was disappointing and definitively need improvement.

Delicious food! The mixed kebab was perfect, the smell alone was mesmerising. The baklava dessert was out of this world. Lives up to the hype!

The food is very delicious and the staff is very friendly. Feti was very professional and helpful in suggesting the food and making sure we don’t have food allergies. The bread is made here fresh. We had the podi (Turkish pizza) , hummus, and ground chicken grill. All were very delicious. At the end, we were served with Turkish tea.

It is a restaurant that has received high ratings, and we visited it for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience, and the ambiance is pleasant. A diverse selection of cuisine is available, and the staff is exceedingly accommodating. We sampled Lamb Shank, Lamb Chops, and Mitti Köfte. Although I did not perceive it as exceptional, the cuisine was decent. The lamb chops were really nice. My lamb shank was somewhat satisfactory. It was not as delicate or tender as I had experienced in other locations before. It was somewhat chewy. Overall, I found the cuisine to be reasonably satisfactory.

Etci is a modern Turkish restaurant and probably one of the better rated ones in Brighton. Service was efficient( robotic) but certainly not friendly. We ordered the Turkish Pizza to start (which features heavily on the menu), only to be told it's not served after 9pm. There was no explanation why this was and it's not written on the menu, so don't know if they could just not be bothered, or if it's a genuine policy. It would have been nice to have been informed of this before we sat down and spent 20 mins choosing our food! Even better, they should write it on the menu. The food we did receive was okay. The lamb chops were a bit over cooked and were certainly not tender as advertised on the menu, but they were also not so bad one needed to send them back. Wine was cheap and portions were big, which was a major plus, and the restaurant was spotless and well kept. We would certainly return to try it again, Next time hopefully the waiters will smile a bit and try not to look like they have just been stung by a wasp.

It's a nice n posh place to enjoy flavourful food! The ambience and service of the people are impressive 👏 The food was fresh and scrumptious. Thanks for the traditional wet tissues and free sweets. It was a delicious and pleasant mood changer for me. Definitely can't wait to go again!

The very best Turkish restaurant in Brighton, hands down, no competitors. The service is attentive, the food is wonderful; from the dips with the bread to the falafel and the moist juicy chicken with rice. Every mouthful is delicious. Highly recommended 👌🏼

Had dinner here recently - usually we order pide delivered, but decided to eat in. Glad we did - the food was amazing. Very delicious, heaps of flavour and freshness. It was really extremely good, and I would highly recommend.

We ordered online this evening, we paid £44 for 4 lahmacun and 3 ayran and the courier delivered the order in 4 minutes. Lahmacun was very cold. It was not warm, it was very cold. A complete disappointment. We had regretted it before, we wanted to take another chance, but definitely never again!

Etçi Kitchen in Brighton offers fast service and incredibly tasty food. The lamb shish and Kleftiko (Chef’s Choice) are mouthwatering. Its proximity to the beach makes it even more appealing, allowing you to burn off the calories after the meal with a scenic walk along the seashore 😄. They celebrate birthdays with a fun song and joyful staff, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. If you want to enjoy delicious Turkish cuisine and have a great time, I highly recommend going there. Be sure to go with an empty stomach because the portions are really big 😄. Definitely worth the price!

I came here last night with a friend and had a fantastic meal!! I had been recommended and was not disappointed. We were served by Ercan who was brilliant and whoever we came into contact with was so friendly. Our meal was delicious at a good fair price. Will be returning when back on Brighton.

In the Turkish language there is a saying 'Büyük lokma ye büyük söz söyleme' this means to Eat a mouthful but don’t make big promises. However, ETCI KITCHEN not only feeds you big portions of their delicious food but keeps their promises on service and ambience as well. This was my first time visiting this Turkish restaurant and as soon as you enter, the open plan kitchen where the fresh meats, salads and bread is being prepared invites you followed by the kind and ever smiling wait staff. I felt valued as a guest and appreciated the honesty and respect which was given to me and my colleagues by everyone who worked there. In terms of seating, there is ample amount of space whether you prefer near the window or a more comfortable and cozy space on the sofa upstairs, it's all good. The way this restaurant has been designed caught my attention as the paint on the wall has a beautiful shimmer to it and the silver panels behind the light makes the light seem brighter yet gives a cozy vibe. I went during lunch hour but I would recommend it for an evening meal to enjoy the ambience thoroughly. In terms of the food - We ordered the following: Vegetarian Pide which was a freshly baked Turkish pizza with cheese, mushrooms, onion, tomatoes and peppers, Beyaz Peynirli Pide which is a freshly baked Turkish pizza with feta cheese, peppers, tomatoes, onion, parsley and egg, Chicken Shish, Chicken Beyti, Tavuk Sarma Beyti and Vegetable Kebab. It was a mid work day hence apart from sparkling water we didn't order any drinks, but their drinks menu is extensive so do check it out. The food was fresh, big portions and the bursting with flavor. My top favorite had to be the Tavuk Sarma Beyti - It's a house special which is Marinated minced chicken seasoned with garlic and herbs, grilled over charcoal, wrapped in bread with cheese, drizzled with butter and topped with tomato sauce, served with yoghurt. Followed by the spinach pide. I have had experiences in the past where minced chicken can be bland and dry but this was flavorful and juicy. I ended up taking some home. The pides were baked to perfection and were similar to the ones I have eaten in Oman and Dubai. For dessert we tried their Künefe and Turkish coffee, as you can see from my extensive review about the mains that dessert was a mere after thought, but I would say definitely keep space as it was the perfect end to the meal. I was extremely satisfied and would recommend this place to anyone who is craving authentic Turkish food. It's located in a walking distance of around 1.1 km from the Brighton station making it a central spot to meet in the city. Ambience: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Location: 4/5 Value for Money: £ £ Would I eat here again? YES, FOR SURE. I do apologize for not getting more photos as my battery died so got a few before that. From the moment myself and my colleagues walked into Etci Kitchen the service was amazing. The staff were so helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions were large and I’ve even brought what I couldn’t manage away with me for later. We were given complimentary Turkish coffee and tea at the end of our meal too which was very kind. The atmosphere was relaxing and we didn’t feel rushed to leave after we’d finished.

Amazingly kind and efficient staff. I ordered for takeout twice from them and both times the food was ready in under fifteen minutes and tasted delicious. I highly recommend the kofta and the kunefe, but everything was incredible.

Picked this place based on a 4.7 Google rating. Lunch was okay but really nothing to brag about, bill came to £80 for the two of us with 2 appetisers and 2 mains, one beer and one appetiser. Staff were friendly and pleasant, food was okay, lamb wasn't the most tender but still had a nice enough meal, personally don't think its worth the 4.7 rating but just my opinion.

We went to a meat restaurant for iftar as a family during Ramadan and we had booked a place beforehand so that it would be ready for iftar and when we arrived there was no preparation and it was served after the adhan and it was not nice at all. There was a British group at the table next to us and they were very polite and understanding towards us. On the contrary, they caused us to argue by being rude and hurtful. But despite all this, we went again after 1 month and the scene we encountered today was quite bad and humiliating. First they took our order and we waited for 30 minutes, then a waiter came and told us that he could not serve us and that we should leave. They literally kicked us out, stating that it was a very humiliating and sad situation. I would like this kind of business and service to be unacceptable.

I went there with my family for iftar in Ramadan. The service was horrible and the waiter was rude to us. We said to him that we came for iftar so we need water and soup quickly however he waited us 10 minutes after azan time. After 1 month i went there again i gave my order and the owner of the business said they cant serve us as i was being rude to their staff and they moved us from the restaurant. I think they should think their customers not their employees. I believe the waiter was racist and he was being very polite to english people.
