Wabi Sabi Hove in Brighton and Hove

Takeaway spent £50 got portions that would be for one. Thai tempest doused in chilli inedible my mouth is burning even after scraping it all off incomprehensible. Food bland overall sushi covered in roe just awful. Never again.

We went for The Boat which was a nice assortment of sushi dishes at a reasonably good price when shared as a group, but the mains were disappointing. Which was a shame

Every time you walk in you are greeted by the biggest smiles. Everyone is just so friendly The food is so delicious. Have been here so many times now and every time we get something different we are just blown away by the quality. Would definitely recommend.

Had dinner here with my partner who fancied sushi and was blown away by the quality of the food, cosy stylish decor and warmth of staff. We had Thai-infused sashimi and it was a taste sensation... loved our dishes so much will definitely be heading back again soon!! Can highly recommend the lychee martini too - yum yum best meal and night out we’d had in ages!!!

Ordered online and would not do so again. Online system defaults to Panda and this arrived very late, with no info or tracking. Couple of calls to restaurant reassured but still food was very late. Food was decent when it arrived but I would not order online again nor use the Panda delivery service, which was the default service on the restaurant website. Restaurant might want to rethink how the delivery services might undermine their reputation.

Eat here if you only get to eat Japanese Sushi once. Eat here if you get to eat Japanese food often! Simply eat here. And bring family and friends.

We spent our Valentine's day here and we weren't disappointed. Nice atmosphere, good food. The Sushi boat is the top!

Had a starter and Ramen, Starter was great and then the ramen came, it wasn’t as spicy as said so I added more spices and then it wasn’t that hot more warm which wasn’t ideal. It was a weird time of day but still expected hot fresh food. Will defo be going back

We both ordered hot and cold starters. I tried better ones but still delicious. Also we tried the boat sushi set, It was extremely fulfilling. Service was half great half poor. It was quick but it took some time them to take the empty plates.

Fantastic food. Really couldn’t fault it and everyone at the table agreed. Would highly recommend. Lots to choose from and the drinks are amazing too! One big negative that the restaurant needs to address is the delivery timing of the food. We all ordered individually, being a starter and main from the menu. Two had finished both courses before the others had delivery of theirs. We all wanted to eat together. Felt like there’s only one person in the kitchen doing amazing culinary things but need help satisfying customers eating all at the same time.

We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant today whilst looking for somewhere to stop for lunch. We were blown away by the quality of the food, the service and the ambiance. The portions were generous and it was very reasonably priced with great value for money. The owner made an effort to ask us if we had enjoyed our meal and asked if we had any feed back. We would highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back soon!

Beautiful food and great presentation

Food was absolutely gorgeous! I had a gorgeous bowl of spicy Ramen, friends had rice bowls. One ordered incorrectly and the staff changed her meals swiftly and with no fuss. An exceptional recommendation from a friend and will be telling all my others! “Bloody lovely!” As I told the owner.

4th time we have been. Salmon teriyaki and prawn noodles were very good

We held a birthday dinner here and it was fantastic.I only have a picture of my meal which was the Rainbow Rolls and Dragon Unami Rolls. Both were incredible. All 14 people loved their food. We will absolutely be back. My husband lived in Japan for a time and the Takoyaki Balls brought him back :-)

Delicious! Super happy this place exists in Hove. We had kids maki and noodles (really tasty), spicy tuna rolls, soft shell tempura crab rolls, miso, pickles, aubergine and a tonkotsu ramen. I'm a huge fan of Japanese food so it was a win for me! Really tasty, friendly service (if a little slow but we weren't in a rush) and a nice atmosphere I look forward to returning to try the black cod!

Popped in with the hubby for some impromptu lunch and Wabi Sabi did not disappoint. Their salmon sashimi melts in your mouth, their rolls are fresh and delicious - I really recommend the pumpkin korroke rolls, they are delish. Such a great menu, we over-order each time 🤤! There are hiccups with following the courses of your order sometimes as some staff are quite new. We don’t mind that in exchange for a great variety and good choice of cocktails.

Despite making a reservation the staff told us there was no space and they wouldn’t honour our booking. So disappointing.

Very authentically Japanese food and decor! Loved it. The tempura, sushi and ramen were excellent, in generous portions. The cocktails had a Japanese twist to them. There was also a wide choice of sake. It's a cosy bright atmosphere with comfortable seating and not too noisy. I think the staff must be Thai, because there are a few Thai touches (ie more spicy) to a few of the dishes.

Delightful authentic Japanese restaurant. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. My wife and I had Chicken Gyoza to start followed by Chirashi Sushi Don. It was all prepared fresh as we waited and served up in super quick time. It was deliciously fresh. I would heartily recommend Wabi Sabi.

We came for a friend's birthday, the choice on the menu was great so much to choose from. Everything was tasty generous portion sizes. The staff were lovely and friendly . Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and drinks. We will be back!

Have known of Wabi Sabi for a while and managed to get here for first time tonight…..gosh we have missed a trick. Really really good. Service excellent and food outstanding. Tuna sashimi was one of the best we’ve had as was the sushi. Wine list excellent too. Lovely people, great food (oh so much to still try) and a great venue …will b returning very soon. We received a lovely welcome to the restaurant, which is decorated beautifully with a big Torii gate, Geisha mural and some other cool art works. The staff were fantastic and the food was utterly sublime. Great portion sizes and beautifully presented. The hardest part was choosing from the authentic Japanese menu, which is vast. It is so fabulous to now have this little taste of Japan in Hove, it’s also the best Japanese food we have had outside of Japan.

Was excited as most of the menu was endorsed as gluten free but after I placed the order and asked multiple time if it was all gluten free I was approached by the manager to be told that actually only 3-4 options of the entire menu were gluten free. After the disappointment, we left without eating! If I trusted the menu and had the food I would have been extremely sick! Make sure you check with them before ordering if you have any allergies or food intolerances. The menu is not reliable. I was told the menu would have been changed promptly but still appears to be the same.

The food was amazing and great sevice. The atmosphere was just right. If you want a jappanese feel restaurant it is the one.

I ordered the steak tataki and the avocado salad to satisfy a craving at home and while the food was tasty I am so confused by the pricing. I got a discount but even so the pricing was bizarre! The beef was reasonably priced at £6.71 - usually £8.95. However, the avocado salad, which was a pretty basic - handful of leaves, a couple of cherry tomatoes and sliced radish, and half an avocado, cost £10.46 - usually an eye-watering £13.95! What's that about?!

Likely was a quiet time . Food was amazing. If someone like a Japanese food is a perfect place for enjoy.

Having opened up close to us, we thought we’d book up last minute (we had to book late which is a good sign for business, as it was very busy!), and the food and service was really fantastic.
