I go quite regularly to grab lunch for the family. Always get a fab service no matter who is at the front of house. The food is always at a very high standard. The cakes are always decadent, but today, I had a double decker brownie and it was phenomenal. Great value for money, too. Thanks team 😊

Wow!! Came in for breakfast and wasn't disappointed! A great price for what you get. All food freshly made and to order! A great selection to choose from the menu. Very Welcoming and friendly staff, went above and beyond for my 2 girls ( 1 year and 2 year old) made sure they were happy, gave them some marshmallows,!! Highly recommend Pete's buns shop! Love, love, LOVE Petes bun Shop. I use them on a regular basis either for breakfast/lunch takeaways or a scrumptious cake or pastry straight after work. It always feels like such a treat! Always delicious, very fresh as made on site and very reasonable prices. Staff are truly amazing, friendly and very helpful. While waiting I love to have a browse at the lovely wax melts to see which ones to top up on next….they all smell Devine!

UPDATE, Very bad to make up lies about customers who no longer wish to use your cafe and shows why you have a bad reputation in the area and why you loose so many customers. Your right, no where else does sell 1/2 a cup of coffee for £2, i get a large mug with as much milk and water for £2.40 elsewhere. I will post a pic of my 2 so called aggressive dogs strapped in their buggy as they always were in your cafe! Ive been going to the cafe for a few years now and it used to be really friendly welcoming place but not anymore. I never feel welcome and the staff now seem reluctant even to serve now and can be quite abrupt. I always have a americano and because there is always only half a cup i ask for milk and some hot water, even after adding that i still don't have a full cup so have topped it up with the milk on the side. I have been told by 4 different staff and family, different things to do, a young girl always puts the jug of milk on my table to use, another staff said to help myself, then a family member said if i want more milk than the one tiny jug they give you( about an inch tall and never full!) i must pay 50 pence per jug ! another member freely gave me extra milk no cost!..... They seem to begrudge giving anyone more than one tiny jug of milk or hot water and one day when they "forgot" i was given the tiniest cup which i think is an expresso cup, half full. On another occasion when i asked for some hot water they said the cups break when they put hot water in.......... Ive never come across this any where else and if i ask for another coffee they always seem to forget so don't bother anymore. In the summer i felt ill and asked for a glass of tap water and was told they don't have any, if i want some water i must buy a bottle! Today was the worst though as i go in there with 3 toy poodles who normally have a treat then go to sleep on my lap. One will bark if another dog comes near her or a person too close as she is nervous and only weighs 4lbs. When i go in as she and her sister are tiny,4lbs and 3lbs,they go in their dog buggy strapped in so they can't reach out or fall out. Then when im sat down they sit on my lap, both of them which shows how small they are. A family member came over to me today and said someone had said one of them had bit someone!!!!! All 3 were sound a sleep when she came over and not barking or causing any trouble at as they normally are. This really shook me as how could she of bitten someone if she was on my lap or strapped in her buggy. I asked who had said that and how could that of happened given they wouldn't of had the chance even if she'd wanted to.....she couldn't answer ! and why wait until today to say something.......i would of said some thing immediately . Plus if i had been bitten by a dog i would say something immediately to the owner, but no one ever has as it didn't happen!!! It is wrong to go around saying my dog bit someone when she has never bit anyone in her life!! My 2 little ones are never loose in the cafe or on a lead in there as i always keep them in their buggy and only the old one walks in on a lead. lady said they need to be under control......they can't be more under control than they are ,either on a lead or strapped into their buggy..... Funny how ive seen other dogs in there barking and not on leads! Also she said they could hear her barking in the kitchen, thats true, as i can hear them shouting and swearing in the kitchen sometimes but i don't complain and the kitchen is right next door and they tend to leave the door open. I see by other reviews others have said about feeling unwelcome and i agree 100% with them. I only pop in for a coffee while im taking dogs out as live fairly close and have heard from others i meet about similar experiences I won't be going in there again and i daresay the boss will come on and deny it all or say i was rude but im always very polite and not surprised after reading other reviews. 3.6 on reviews speaks for its self and ive never ever seen the owner.

Update Still more lies about me,I havent made a new account it automatically went on to this,get your facts straight before accussing me of things I will be amazed if the dog warden turns up and i will tell her the truth as ive met her before when there was an attack on my dogs. As if there is an attack or bite you get a police incidence number and need proof to get it which you dont have because it didnt happen. Stop slandering me and leave me alone or i will have to take it further! I do not constantly ask for hot water and milk as stated by Charlie, I ask once when I order! I did not get offered a glass of water with ice cubes in last year when I felt ill. My dog was growling across the table from you as could sense you were hostile towards me but did she lunge at you or bite you like you state she does, NO .You say staff are scared to serve other tables because she will lunge and bite them. How can she do that when strapped in her buggy or held on my lap , absolutely rediculous!!!! When I place an order is she going to undo her strap and jump out up on the counter and attack you, another rediculous statement! All this because I ask for bit of milk and hot water,got so bad that I had to bring in a flask of my own hot water. Check your cctv and you will see me adding it. I can't believe the things you are making up about me and my dogs and why I don't want to come in anymore. Funny how had no trouble in other cafes in yeovil and have not left 14 bad reviews for local cafes everyone but yours it very nice and welcoming. Yours used to be years ago but sadly not anymore.

It’s always a pleasure going into Pete’s. I always receive good service, whether I’m ordering to take away or sitting in. The english breakfast is incredible and everything is perfectly cooked. The tuna melt baguette, sausage rolls and cheese and bacon turnovers are also personal favourites! Along with the cappuccinos and hot chocolates. It’s also a really good environment to work from with excellent WiFi signal. Everyone I’ve met at Pete’s have always been friendly and helpful. 10/10, would highly recommend!

Fab selection and really friendly, happened upon one of their vans and very pleased I did.

Tried a sausage roll from their van but was very standard, a big soggy. I wouldn't use again for that reason and when they arrived they started talking badly about another food company, who i've used before and have lovely food. I won't be supporting a company that bad mouths other small businesses, really unprofessional and not on at all. Shame on you. Reply to the company: This is even more unprofessional. I paid for your food and you're now accusing me of being a conflict of interest. I think your 3.6 star review rating says more than 'thrives on its own' I can't imagine a van driver would come back to their manager and say what they were saying to customers would they. I suggest you stop accusing customers of being a conflict of interest and have a word with your delivery drivers. Even more reason for me not to use you again now.

Waited out in the cold for them to open, 20 minutes after they should have opened still no sign of anyone! Went home cold and hungry.

My best friend and I have visited here on several occasions. The food is amazing, never had a bad meal. The hot baguettes are fantastic and made with excellent quality ingredients. They have a delicious rang of cakes . The staff are friendly and will chat with you ( if they aren’t rushed off of their feet) . Amazing atmosphere and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend

Myself and my team use Pete’s weekly/daily for our lunches. They are always very welcoming and friendly. The food is great, I love the Chilli-dog baguette and the jacket potatoes are amazing. Everything is reasonably priced and with the app you can build up discounts. We as a team highly recommend Pete’s. ❤️❤️

A perfect stop after a dog walk in the local park . Dogs welcomed and treats offered . Inside outside seating . A fantastic breakfast and such good value ! The cakes and pastries are made fresh on site ! Amazing quality and value for money . Staff lush , sharon really helpful, friendly and hard working. They also deliver . The food is great. Tried many things on the menu! Personal fave is the spicy tuna baguette, and my partner is partial to the tikka! Always too service from the staff and great selection of snacks! Their baked treats are especially tasty!

Good selection of food. Seems expensive. Owner can be quite rude when he shouts through from the back room asking what customers want if they take a few minutes to decide. Prefer to go in when he is not there.

Thoroughly enjoy stopping for lunch at Pete’s Bun Shop for lunch, they always have something that I fancy readily available. Staff are always quick, friendly and up for a laugh, which is a nice break from corporate food venues. Very well priced compared to surrounding places and it’s also a convenient stop as there is free parking, & rarely ever traffic on the journey in.

I visited the shop today with my 3 year old boy. The lady behind the counter was sarcastic and rude. I asked about a pasty and she said her answer hadnt changed from the lady she spoke to 2 minutes ago, of which i obviously didnt hear. Manners and a professional attitude are a no brainer in the service industry. Such a shame as my sausage roll was nice. Wont be visiting again.

Amazing service from Charlie, i put in a large order to pick up for my office on the Friday just gone. Everyone loved their lunch and were very excited at the Christmas Rolls. All the food was named which was a lovely touch and made it easier when handing out back in the office. Thank you so much!! Highly recommended!

The van comes round every morning at the same time and has a great choices of different foods and drinks, Julie who is on the van is always friendly and enquires to see how the day is going so far, it's nice to recieve such a warm welcome.

I see Julie twice a day on the van. The food is high quality and tasty. A few more healthy options would be good though. Julie clearly cares for her customers and provides a great service.

Shop is good, we however also use the mobile vans, Julie visits our trading estate and comes down to P & R Hurt Training Centre around tea break times, always has plenty of hot food and cold rolls etc, good selections of chocs,crisps and drinks too.

We live on the estate so pop in often. You know you’re going to get good quality and good service.

Everything is made fresh everyday with a huge variety of fillings. The prices are good and the rolls/sandwiches are much better than anything you would buy in a supermarket.

Petes bun van is always handy to use when I haven't got time to make my lunch in the mornings, which is most days. Always used to use this place for a jacket potato, they were fabulous at one time.

Have been a customers of pete for many years and have known him in a previous life too, People say he is grumpy, not at all, he is great, and his food, i have never had a bad meal yet. I have told all my friends about Petes food, and many go there too

Was working on the estate and popped in to grab some breakfast. Was served by a guy who was just miserable and rude and he barely spoke a word other than a few grunts. Ordered a Bacon and cheese baguette and the bacon was removed from a fridge, microwaved for maybe 30 secs and put in a baguette with cheese. No butter or sauce offered. Took 1 bite and the bacon was raw, binned it for my own safety.

Fantastic place to visit for lunch or even a snack. Personally the Scotch eggs and Chilli Cheese dogs are my favorites. Outstanding value for money in the sense that a very generous amount of filling is used in each baguette. Staff are brilliant. Looking forward to the cafe that is currently being designed.

I have only been in this shop a few times, and each time the people serving have been really friendly. They also do deliveries to the nearby industrial estate, when I worked there. I always looked forward to the sandwich van arriving at lunch time. The tuna bagettes were really good.

Happened to see the bun van outside my work, i was really suprised by the value and quality of the food. The selection was actually better than the selection in the canteen, and i could order for the next days delivery. Great Service, definitely recommended!

I have been using Pete's Bun Shop now for a while, they are perfect to go on my lunch break or if I fancy a fresh baguette. The prices are very reasonable and the pasties are competitive with most pasty shops, but are the same quality. Staff in their are lovely, mostly pretty females waiting for you to order. This is a fast food shop and if you want it even faster, they deliver!
