Rosé wine was warm., changed to white wine.....still warm...... So had a beer.. ... Get wine in the fridge .......

Mojito,no mint leaves,no lime slices. Disappointed.

Food is decent, service is fairly quick, can get quite busy on match days.

Just love perrie. Grt staff. Grt prices. Food good .

Staff friendly as ever, .good atmosphere . A bit quieter than usual. However the toilets are rotten. Even ones functioning have no locks or seats missing. This needs fixings. Please fix as we love this pub but toilets let it down massively

The food portions were small. The eating area merges with the drinkers bar so it's a bit loud. Never been in since the 80s and won't be hurrying back.

The pub has changed massively since I was last there but not in a bad way. The staff were very nice and also polite. There were plenty of people in, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The place was clean and tidy.

Has definitely improved, food was good, table no cleaned, but very busy due to NUFC game a little later and place being full, so understandable that staff are busy.

We went for breakfast and were not disappointed. Portions are great for the price and all cooked fresh so you do have to expect to wait a little while. It was just after opening so not many in, service was excellent and manageress was very friendly. we will be back to sample some other meals. especially the £5 deals. Canny little (big) pub,

Visited a few times with family and friends for dinner. Open all day from breakfast to dinner. Restaurant and pub adjacent to each other. Good is awesome. Friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable. Children are not allowed after 10 pm. Highly recommend.

Could be cleaner inside and tables. Slow customer service, but great food.

Booked a table for 5 we ordered food we didnt wait long the food was beautiful everyone said how lovely there food was we all had different dishes food was hot and very tasty carnt wait to go back

Was disappointed tonight. I had the steak and ale pie that had very little steak in it. And my husband had the fish and chips. The fish was small. Not sure if we will go back

Member of staff manager (donna) was very rude embarrassed me and my friends shouting at us for using the public dart board shouted at us for using dart board UPDATE:I went to play darts a couple of weeks ago got totally embarrassed as the manager shouted at us in the bar just for going on the dart board embarrassing me and my friends I have tried to go back in and now I'm bared for life just for trying to play darts. I went back tonight and the manager dragged my drink off me shouting I'm bared for playing darts even though she belittled me in front of the full pub he said the reason I'm barred is putting a review on because it ruins the pubs reputation I will be taking this further

Small bar area .. full of chavas on nitetimes....now they reserve the tables in the bar area .which is a sad

I would certainly recommend this place for food. I've now visited for breakfast and lunch, both times I found the service staff very attentive and helpful. The food was cooked fresh and very tasty. The only thing I would change is the eggs on the breakfast, they were hard and overdone, we were offered fresh ones though. But, because we had already started eating, we did not want to stop to wait for eggs or end up eating them after finishing everything else. I'd recommend asking for runny yolks at the point of ordering. Both times visiting, the outside of the pub hasn't been very clean so this can be off putting. Glasses, cigarette butts and rubbish has been left on tables and strewn around, it looked like this could be from the night before. Inside was clean and tidy. I think it would be nice, in places like this, to have a "with children" side or designated seating area. When we visited, on the lunch time, there were 3 children running wild bumping into chairs, tables and people. Then 1 screamed the place down when they hurt themselves. It's unfortunate that the parents/carers don't pay more attention or take more responsibility, but, such is life and times. It's certainly not the pubs fault. Be aware that although it looks like you can book a table from 8:30am on the Hungry Horse Web site, the pub doesn't actually open until 10am. It's easy to access from the A1, A69 route and has ample parking (although it seems local residents and builders use the carpark), you can see the pub from the main road. Overall I would've given a score of 4, but the outside is a bit dreary, to use the side door closest to the carpark you have to walk past the cigarette bin, and the wild kids spoiled the atmosphere. Apart from these things it's worth a visit for the food. Next time I'll try the cocktails too!

Visited it twice this week Thursday and Sunday. Food was lovely Thursday attention to detail, I got the same starter on Sunday no garnish I'm sure it was a crust of a loaf of bread not as advertised for garlic mushrooms, also they were not garlic breaded mushrooms on the Sunday they were fried and a tiny portion.

Very friendly and obliging service made for a pleasant experience at lunchtime. Would have no hesitation about coming back here again. Food was served promptly and the portion size was impressive. If truth be told it was more than I could eat for a lunchtime snack. Certainly happy to go back and visit again in the future.

Needs a serious update. Shabby furnishings toilets a mess.

Full English breakfast was one of, if not the best I've ever had. Reasonably priced, and staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Paid a visit to the Peregrine on Saturday for lunch with my wife, sons and both of their grandmothers. It was quite busy with people having food and watching a match, however the service was quick and the food was good value. Zoe was very helpful and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and our time together and will definitely be going back.

My friend and I went for Sunday lunch on 2nd April and it was disgusting. The roast potatoes were stale and just warmed up, the mash reheated and was crusty, the veg had no taste, the chicken was Vile, Yorkshire pud was like rubber. We gave feedback but nobody bothered to come to us to apologise or offer any alternative. We ordered dessert which was crumble and custard and very nice but not much crumble. We had to get dessert as we were starving. If you want a nice Sunday roast do NOT go there. I would prefer to give no stars at all but not an option. Time to get a new chef and I use that word loosely as clearly can't cook.

The manager Zoe is such a lovely and helpful person and a credit to the establishment . There was also mike who is also a great worker and a friendly face.

Went here on friday the 16th with my partner. Been here a few times for drinks and the odd meal. The portions have usually been quite good and the food ok. On this occassion however left extremely disappointed with both. My partner had nachos which were ok , i had the the chicken tikka masala. Not that great to be honest. Theyve changed the menu and its gone downhill Probably just come in here for a drink in future.

Clean. spacious pub very welcoming staff and the food was spot on I had a steak which was cooked to perfection well done to the chef and staff very impressed

Had a meal there today steak with fries and glass of red wine absolutely lovely thank you first time there met a friend who recommended the pub great chefs also presentation lovely will definitely be back and told family about this pub get yourselves there

Normally a great pub, and great food but Sunday lunch was awful today. Was missing 3 out of 8 items, was cold and quality of beef was terrible, all gristle. When asked was told they didn’t have the missing items, no refund offered, only another dinner.

Spacious restaurant and plenty places to sit for Breakfast which is served til 12. Service was a little slow but they apologised and gave us refills on our hot drinks for free. When the food cams it was amazing. Couldn't fault it 1 bit. We ordered. Breakfast Burrito Waffles and bananas Mega breakfast Bacon sandwich And a childs breakfast. Will happily visit again.

Always friendly ...food good too. Lately though no beer mats tut tut!!! Ladies toilets need some TLC Still a good pub.

The service and food was Gorgeous. And the toilets was really clean. I've been in places up here in Newcastle and womens toilets are so dirty. I say 💯 percent for the peregrine .I will be coming back .penelope x

My wife and I eat here regularly and we are never disappointed, there is a very good choice of food available and everything we have ordered has come freshly cooked and served by friendly staff, I highly recommend this pub for a nice relaxing break

The Perry is a lovely, comfortable place to drink. Most of the staff are first class and do their very best to please. My only one gripe is that some members of staff serve the regulars first when there is a queue and other people are waiting to be served. I feel this should be addressed. Thank you.

Aside from it being too hot inside to enjoy my meal, it's a nice place. Great choices on menus, including child's menu.

Went here today and I opted for the sizzling steak and it was spot on as was the service ,steak was cooked how I asked ,couldn't fault it

Drinks are nice and cheap, food not so good.

Didn't get service with a smile unfortunately & only a three quarter filled coke! On asking the barmaid to top it up was told no sorry we have to allow an allowance for ice & because you asked for no ice- that's how much you get! So greedy! For the price you pay aswell. Won't be returning again

Much more appealing after not popping in after a few months appart .much better now the drug people have gone .there is much more calm and normal like .hope it stays this way . Went for breakfast on 10/11/21. Ordered and asked if I wanted to add black pudding onto breakfast for 79p, I said yes. My partner ordered a bacon sandwich. Waited around 15 min for food, it was really quiet as it was before midday. My food came out , eggs overdone the rest of my food was greasy and the sausages were warm and the bacon borderline. I asked for soft eggs as don't see the point in having toast without a dippy yoke. The server left me with the breakfast and went to get 2 eggs, they came in a few minutes on a plate that was swimming in grease. The server did not return and I had an issue with the black pudding as it looked undercooked and was jelly like as you can see in the photo. The beans came in a tiny ramekin and the tomato was not cooked , it was like a raw tomato. The last time I had a breakfast it was really greasy too. I had no check back and we left feeling disappointed as my partners sandwich was overdone too. I just won't go back for breakfast here again.
