You cannot beat this place for good food cost and service. All staff very friendly and polite. Easy to get to .

I have just been for sunday lunch a party of 6 we all chose the beef .this was the best sunday lunch and beef I have ever had .we eat out most sundays at town or jesmond never have I had 5 star perfect food and lovely friendly hospitalty. I will be makin it my local very go quality and vey reasonable . All 6 of us were impressed 5 star

No recomendaría hacer lo mismo.El restaurante era muy tranquilo, así que no necesitas reservar.El servicio fue lenta y a veces bastante desagradable. Había un hombre y una mujer trabajan en el restaurante, la mujer parecía ser nuestra camarera, aunque era difícil decir que ella no estaba ahí por mucho, el señor podría engendrar poco más de un solo gruñido o 'esperar un minuto' cuando pedimos bebidas como hizo para recuperar la mujer de cualquier otro sitio para tomar nuestra orden. Mi suegra ordenados ahumado con ensalada, ella recibió salmón con patatas fritas ... estas cosas pasan. El pescado era un enorme filete pero aguados y sin sabor, dirigido ella un tercio o algo así y luego a la izquierda el resto. Cuando la camarera llegó ella preguntó las sobras, pero nos dio ninguna disculpa o incluso un comentario en respuesta a esa cuestión, ella tomamos las placas lejos y no volver.hacen un almuerzo oferta pizza y pasta por £4 que tiene los platos habituales en este tipo de menú y relación calidad-precio razonable.Alguna comida que pedimos estaba bien y otras no tan bien, sin duda no vale la pena el viaje.

Hemos visitado vincenzo dos veces (en ambas ocasiones durante la hora feliz). Excelente relación calidad-precio y excelente comida. Una gran elección en el menú "hora feliz", recomendaría las hamburguesas! sin duda que volveré, mejor comida italiana que he estado de muchos difícil en Jesmond y Heaton Guesthouse. Merece la pena que sonaba previamente reservar como se pone bastante ocupado!

We visited this restaurant for the first time on Saturday evening with friends after reading good reviews on trip advisor.We agree with the previous review it was faultless.Prices very reasonable,portion sizes very good and food was excellent.We had a table book for 6pm restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent the staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return soon.

Fuimos para la hora del almuerzo especial. Los precios razonables con £4 una pasta, pizza y los niños estaban 3.50 libras por pasta y pizza y hielo y copa de helado.La porción tamaño era muy bueno y la comida era de primera categoría. Normalmente tienes que conformarte con cualitativo o cuantitativo pero no es el caso aquí. Tienes tanto!!El personal era encantador.

encontramos este restaurante en Google y casi no quiero decir lo increíble era en caso no podemos conseguir en la próxima vez que visitemos! La comida era fantástico, el servicio era amable y personal, y era tan refrescante encontrar un restaurante auténticamente familiar donde la calidad era tan alta sin precios desmesurados. No me puedo quejar en cualquier nivel.

Have been going here since it opened and am never disappointed. The. Staff are always very friendly and nothing is a problem. There was one night I was there with friends when something we wanted wasn't available they sent someone out to get this and a short time later it arrived at the table. Well done!

I'm becoming a regular at this restaurant. There's a great choice for veggies, the food is lovely, the staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. I'd go back.

had a voucher,were in metrocentre,rang on the offchance they would be able to accommodate 2 hungry customers.Because we wanted to dine before the evening rush they said no problem.The service was prompt,efficient and very friendly,food was delicious and certainly lived up to our expectations,cant wait to go back,thanks to all the staff there for making it a perfect end to a xmas shopping trip.

Went on a Wowcher as first time. Food was excellent. has a platter to share to start. Prawns were beautiful. Pizza and Lasagne which were good but the puddings, were excellent. We had the chocolate brownie and pistachio ice cream and the sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. Really rich. Came out stuffed. Staff very attentive but not pushy. Decor very nice. Overall an excellent visit. Will go again but not on a voucher. Thanks

We have visited this place twice now on a groupon voucher and both times it was great. Friendly staff, great food, good price. Will most certainly return.

We have been to Vincenzos a few times, and the food has been great every time! On our last visit, we ordered garlic bread and the prawns as starters; the best starters I've had in a while. Our mains were just as nice, but to top it off the service was great, really attentive and personal service. We would definitely recommend Vincenzos!

I don't know what isoo expects but Vincenzos is a place I have been going to for a long time and I find it hard to believe that they did not enjoy themselves. There was no difference when my wife and I again went this weekend. As always the food was of an excellent standard and presented well. Ordered Prawns and wife had crab to start followed by the beef cheeks and smoked haddock & pea risotto which were all cooked to perfection. Staff are very friendly and do anything they can to ensure you have a good night. Don't be put off by negative reviews as this is an excellent place to eat and for the price beats the majority of similar places in Newcastle.and just for isoo.........I am 22 stone and the chairs can take my weight so the comment about flimsy chairs is not really valid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew something was off the moment I walked into the place through the narrow double doors. The place was practically deserted aside from an old mother/daughter pair who were there for lunch. We sat in the far corner of the restaurant. The decor was a bit drab and the chairs flimsy. Luckily the food was edible, yet severely lacking on the presentation side.Once we got into our taxi and headed back to the City Centre, the taxi driver told me he never heard of this place, and that there are many Italian restaurants (some of which I have been to on my previous visits to Newcastle) right in the middle of the City Centre! So a bit of a swing and a miss on this one.

This has to be one of the best italian restauants in Newcastle The moment you walk into Vincenzo's you can see this is a authentic Italian restaurant the place is cosy and romantic with a modern twist it is also extreamly clean. The food is amazing and you can tell good quality ingrediants are being used . We have been twice once we went at happy hour before 7pm and the pizza and pasta were only £4.00 and very good.The second time we attended a friends birthday and we went for the Al carte menu and i have to say this had to be the best meal i have had in any Italian restaurant. I choose the lamb shank at it was cooked to perfection my partner had the cheeks again could not be faulted. A few people on our table had deserts and they all said they were really good and could tell they had all been made fresh. Their was not one complaint on our table on 12. The staff are really friendly and efficient but not in your face i will 100% be returning to this restaurant for many more years. Thanks

We visited Vincenzos through a groupon voucher as we hadnt heard of it before, we were pleasantly surprised as the food was lovely, the service was good with helpful staff. We will visit again

Today we went to vincenzos for sunday lunch i had belly pork which was amazing with a hugh yorkshire pud great value for money. we go often go to this little gem and always have a fantastic meal. not only pizza and pasta they do man size steaks! Every so often they do a special night which i highly recommend went to a ranch night and a carrabian night both great food and great value. i tried the goat curry which was delicious. already booked for there taster night on the 3rd august!

The number of highly rated reviews can't all be wrong, but I just don't see the attraction here at all.We ate hear for the first time a few weeks ago and it was ok - nothing to get excited about but equally nothing to whine about - just ok.Tried it again recently for a quick evening pizza and this time it definately was poor. Potatoe skins to start with were pleasant enough but the Quatro Fromaggi and Quatro Stagioni pizzas were both inferior and sloppy in texture, which takes some doing with a thin base.The staff are pleasant enough and the place is clean but its so small that you feel crowded, even though they use the tiniest tables imaginable.Each to there own, but there are many better Italian restaurants to choose from.

I've been here a few times in the past with friends who are regulars & the food & service has been great so when I saw an offer on groupon, me & my other half decided to go. We waited a while for our order to be taken and the waiters hardly spoke to us. The waiters seemed preoccupied with regular customers & we felt we were on the back burner. The food was lovely but the atmosphere wasn't great. We queried the bill as they charged us for our free glass of wine, there was no apology & were ignored on our exit. Other diners seemed to be regulars & seemed to get a 1st class service compared to us.......we felt unwelcome & won't be returning.

This restaurant is an absolute must visit, excellent staff, wonderful food, family run business, the name has changed to Vincenzos but everything is just as fantastic.

me and my partner went to peppy's/vincenzo's with a voucher from groupon.we were warmly welcomed in to the cosy restaurant and seated in its intimate surroundings.the waiter was very friendly and chatty.We had a voucher which was taken from us and the menu options were explained - as we had 2 included glasses of wine we decided to just pay for the rest of the bottle and I must say the house wine was lovely.for starters we had garlic mushrooms and prok goujons - both we're lovely.for mains we opted for bolognaise pizza and a calzone - the pizza was authentic with a thin base and just the right amount of topping, the calzone was immense and full to the brim.the food here was beautiful and from looking at the menu i can see that even without a voucher the prices were very reasonable. This was a very enjoyable meal made even better by the warm welcome and continued service from the staff - we will be back.

I was one of the first customers when Peppys opened about 15 years ago and have continued visiting regularly so it was a no-brainer to come here for Molly's surprise 65th Birthday celebration.Vince and Barbara were happy to let us have the upstairs room and the Chef offered a selection of possibilities. We settled on a Moroccan buffet and a special birthday cake all made in-house.I asked Vince if it was ok to bring our own champagne as it was the wine we had at our wedding and Vince was happy to oblige and would provide the flutes.We asked for red and white wine to be available as well.On the evening the staff were helpful and courteous. The Buffet was amazing,every body raved about the various Moroccan dishes. The Veggies were catered for as well.( I may have to marry the Chef!).The 20 of us filled the room and drank and ate everything. Molly was surprised and delighted and the whole evening was a resounding success.Thanks a million to Vincenzos ps. it didn't cost a fortune either.

My family and i have just been to Vincenzo's for lunch for the first time and my god it was truly outstanding! the two small children had real food istead of processed rubbish, my larger and bigger appitite daughter had the belly pork wich was beautiful! my parter had lasgner, the "real deal" and I had the chicken stuffed with spinich "GREAT"! the first but defo not the last time we'll be going there. The front of house guy was pleasant and accomodating and not in your face, he let us enjoy our meal and space but was there if we wanted anything.... please anyone reading this go and try there food you'l will not be let down...The only thing "i must point out this didnt affect the food in anyway" the plates where cold, But the food was piping hot! for 2 and a half adults and 2 kiddies including starters for all, mains and 3 desserts, 2 bottles of house red and 6 cokes it came to £65.00...... EXCELLENT!

Having been stuck for somewhere to take student son out for a meal on a Monday evening (when many places are closed), we stumbled across Peppys (or, as the website and name above the door suggest, Vincenzo's) on Tripadvisor. Everything, from the friendly welcome to the helpful advice in choosing from the menu, was brilliant. The food itself (calzone, plus sirloin steak, plus sea bream, plus Baked Alaska plus ice cream, plus lemon cheesecake) was exquisite. Atmosphere was great, location was convenient (i.e. easy free parking!, and fhe home-made puddings were unmissable. We would unhesitatingly recommend!

I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend. I love this restaurant, the food is amazing, atmosphere great and staff attentive. I have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions and the quality of food is always consistent. They are also extremely good when meeting the needs of diners who have food allergies you just need contact them in advance they will also allow you to bring you're own flour or pasta should you need to.

This restaurant really is a little gem as described by other reviewers. Hidden away in the side streets of Heaton it really is worth the effort to seek it out. Since changing the name from Peppy's to Vincenzo's the restaurant the deco has been updated and a fantastic new chef engaged who has introduced new delights to entice customers to return time-and-time again. Check the website for feature evenings, book one and then enjoy. My wife and I regulars, and so too are my grandsons - they've loved this restaurant since we "discovered" it many years ago. For a small restaurant the menu is extensive and every item is home-made; Abi the chef even bakes the bread which can be ordered the day before if you want to buy some.Each week Abi changes the "black-board" selection and Sunday lunch is a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Why do my wife and I frequent this restaurant when there are many other to choose from? The food is excellent and if you want something different just ask. Need gluten free? then take your own pasta and Abi will cook it for you. The service is attentive and good. My wife and I recently returned from a three week trip to France (we're real Francophiles) and had many wonderful meals there, but the quality was no better than the meals we have enjoyed in this restaurant.

Very welcoming staff, soon as we walked in they made us feel welcome and comfortable, also give us time to choose our food and drinks no rush !After a great start we were very pessimistic on the food with the reviews we have read before. However, the food was very well presented and the flavours were fresh and quite frankly divine. I went for the black pudding starter and lamb shanks for the main and had a banoffee pie for my desert, my wife opted for a potato skins starter for main she had a sea food pizza and desert she had warm chocolate brownie. The food came out fast and was made fresh to go the pizza my wife had was thin and crispy very Italian. The deserts were very well presented and we found out all deserts were made in the restraint none of that bought in rubbish most restaurants serve.All in all we had a very good night and I forgot to mention you have great value for money! I would recommend this place to people who enjoy good quality food. Also whilst we were there a waiter mentioned something about a special night at the end of may we will defiantly be going there and I am certain we will be back with family and friends!

We had a voucher from living social so to be honest we weren't really expecting much but we were very surprised at the quality of the food and service.We had booked a table for 7pm and arrived to a warm welcome. Drinks orders were quickly taken and time was given to check the menu, although we had already checked the web site and knew what we were having. My husband went for calamari followed by pea and ham pasta 'Sophia' I had chosen garlic mushrooms then my favourite carbonara. The food was superb to say the least and good portions for a living social offer. Barbra the owner had informed us all the deserts were all fleshly made in house so we went for the baked Alaska and fudge brownie both excellent. A lovely restaurant for couples or family's with a very friendly feel, we will be back !!

Visited for the first time on Saturday. Never been before and the food was fantastic. It's reasonably priced (particularly as I had a living social voucher) and was packed out most of the night. I'm definitely going back! I'd recommend the baked goats cheese soufflé to start and the baked Alaska pudding.My only tip would be to request a table away from the door. We were right in front of it and got blasted with freezing air every time anyone came in or left, which was a lot!Can the trip advisor listing be changed to reflect the new name?

I've been eating at Peppy's for years now and never yet been dissapointed :) The food is fab, the staff attentive but without any hassle and the price is right!! Cannot reccomend this place enough - try it and you won't be dissapointed.

Being an Italian I know how mum cook trust me!!! The menu is various and good value for money. To start my partner had king prawns in white wine and garlic sauce absolutely exquisite and I got a delicious pigeon with black pudding pate from the weekly blackboard menu .To follow by an absolute marvellous beef chicks in wine sauce and pecorino cheese that brought me back to Italy....my partner had a fantastic surf and turf steak cooked to perfection with amazing homemade chips. Good choice of wines well priced ......The service is absolute fantastic all staff really friendly and professional the atmosphere absolutely fantastic!!!!!

Hope no one misses out on this hidden gem of a restaurant due to the name change. If you didn't know it was once named Peppys the excellent TripAdviser reviews will be missed. Perfect spot for a lunch or evening meal. Food is obviously freshly prepared, full of flavour and very reasonably priced and staff are really attentive. Plenty on street parking and very close to a bus route and Chillingham Road shopping area. Highly recommend.

Having just written a poor review about Louis restaurant in Jesmond because of the bad experience we had there on Christmas Day, it makes me happy to give the opposite for the meal we have just had. If I was to compare it to Louis then I would have to say the meal was half the price but with twice the flavour. Peppys (Now called Vincenzos) knocked the socks off Louis. Vincenzos was cheaper, the food was better and the whole experience was 10 times better than Louis.Forget Louis go to Vincenzos

Peppys is hidden away within residential properties on Addycombe Terrance in Heaton. We found out about it some 5 years ago and have probably been there at least once a month for that period of time. Peppys offers not only the usual selection of Italian cuisine but always has some really good choices on their selection board. How much you pay is up to you but all meals are competitvely priced and you are assured of very tasty food. A previous reviewer said that the food was bland but they must have had their taste buds removed because in 5 years, the food we have had has been anything but! Staff are always extremely helpful and nothing is to much problem for them. If you do not enjoy a meal here then you do not appreciate good food.

Peppy's is as good as it is idiosyncratic - very. In the first instance, it's unusually located. Most suburban eateries are planted at intersections or on local shopping streets, but Peppy's is buried deep among the quiet residential streets of Heaton. That said, the no.1 bus runs very close by, and Chillingham Road Metro is only some ten minutes walk away. Being outside the city centre and off all the main routes, you'd expect it to be unknown and deserted, but Peppy's is always busy. This is always a good cue to head in and give it a try, at which point you'll meet with another idiosyncrasy - the decor.The pizza and pasta that I've tried here are very good: robustly flavoured and absolutely fresh. The pizza is especially good. The portions are generous, and it seems that in some cases the starters are almost as big as the mains, so on the whole you get good value as well. The drinks, alas, do not represent quite such good value, though I can only comment on the beers and minerals - we haven't tried the wines. But this is always the way with eating-out, in my experience.Service was attentive (but not intrusive) and fast, and the barmy decor, together with the popularity of the place, gives Peppy's a really nice atmosphere, albeit one we found a little too warm after a while. Overall, it's a great little place that definitely merits a £1.90 Metro fare to experience, providing you're not looking to eat too late, as closing seems to be around 22.00 most evenings.

We've eaten in Peppy's many time and have yet to experience a poor quality meal. Our two grandson love being taken there, I have frequently entertained colleagues for all over the UK at this restaurant and they've loved it. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff - provided of course you ask! Good quality wholesome cooking at reasonable prices. Value for money - what more could anyone ask for?

Having walked past the restaurant on a number of occasions whilst walking home, i thought i'd give their food a try. Unfortunately, the dishes that were served left a lot to be desired. i ordered a pasta dish with anchovies and olives which surprisingly was very bland. My mum ordered a simple spaghetti bolognese which was severely over cooked. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere but due to the poor quality of the food, i will not be returning.

Brilliant family style resturant, really welcoming and fab food!!!
