Why is it every time I have eaten from this place I really bad belly aches and diarrhoea and the food is small in portion sizes and loads of rice hardly any chicken

Spend 20 pound, went to pick up the food and the chips are stale really unhappy as i am a frequent customer. If it busy and you have a rush, please organise your team better as I shouldn’t be picking up cold food this is unacceptable. I would appreciate if this could be resolved

Poor management........and low quality food

I tried the chicken rice at Pepe’s, and it was a total disappointment. It tasted like it had been sitting around for days—bland, dry, and completely unappetizing. On top of that, the service was a nightmare. The staff was unbelievably rude, making the whole experience even worse. Definitely not going back

What a shameful service waited for my chicken 35 minutes ordered Mega meal! They missed my Fries!! This is not the first time this has happened last time when I ordered rice were missing!!!! Staff rather muck about this the coordination than check the order making sure they serving correct order!! Shame never again to Selly Oak!!!!

They messed my order , half of it was missing . They blocked my number once i tried to sort it with them on phone . Very very unhappy Will be placing an complaint with uber eats.

On a busy night and only two staff serving clients, and orders not prepared according to first come first serve, witnessed someone jumping the queue because the staff new him, that’s unfair right to someone who has been waiting for 20mins

I am writing to formally report an issue I encountered during my visit to Pepe on [25 /02/2024] at [barista road ]. Unfortunately, my experience was highly unsatisfactory due to poor food hygiene and unprofessional behavior from the staff. Upon receiving my order, I found a strand of hair in my food, which is completely unacceptable for any dining establishment. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was met with dismissive and unhelpful behavior rather than an appropriate resolution. This lack of professionalism and concern for customer satisfaction left me extremely disappointed. As a paying customer, I expect a clean and hygienic dining experience, along with respectful and attentive service. The presence of hair in my food raises serious concerns about the restaurant’s hygiene practices, and the staff’s poor response only added to the frustration. I request a full refund for my order and expect immediate corrective action to ensure this does not happen to other customers in the future. Additionally, I urge you to address the staff’s behavior and reinforce hygiene protocols to maintain food safety standards. Please let me know how you intend to resolve this matter. Food was freezing and the dips had exploded all over the drinks

The driver rang me and parked 3 roads away.. he can’t read a map or speak English.. I had to go look for him and walk. I called the restaurant, very rude and did not care. Food was very cold and chicken was undercooked with source on it.. going down

Once again got my order wrong and put mayo on my pitta.

I ordered a chicken XL burger and it took 15mins to arrive when it was overcooked and tasted completely unseasoned. Not a fan.

Absolutely the worst experience at Pepe’s (Bristol Road). The staff are unbelievably rude, have zero training, and clearly don’t know how to behave with customers. They never pick up calls, making it impossible to get any information or place an order. The service is a complete disaster—unprofessional and unbothered. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually values customers.

Poor again i put no salad on my burger in the notes and they totally didnt look and put salad on. Not happy. Great driver cant fault him

Sorry to say this, Chef needs more to learn about peri peri. Ordered full chicken with instructions of Extra hot, Not to dry. But chicken came as Very dry And no flavor inside, Seems only boiled inside. Their is plenty room for improvement. Bilal was quick to take order. Good service by counter staff, But kitchen staff needs more to learn about chicken and how to follow instructions . Thx thx

The sauce been spilled all over the bag

The chicken was stone cold, salad was a few lettuces leaves and fries were also cold. Very disappointing and a waste of money

Asked for extra cheese for loaded fries and they didn't add extra cheese. They charged money for extra cheese. There is no fries there very low quantity.

Missing items from a simple order

I ordered a chicken wrap for takeaway. There were only 4 chicken cubes in entire wrap and mostly lettuce. For £7 with chips, disgusting. By far the worse Pepe branch I’ve ever been to.

Ordered via uber first time chicken an rice i asked for hot I got dry no flavour ... food was bad that's all I can say

I am a regular customer and have to say last few times i have ordered from here the food has been average. The customer service is poor and certain staff are very rude. Usually i order the chicken rice and after stating numerous times for alot of sauce to be added to the chicken. This never happens and what i am left with is dry horrible tasting chicken with no flavour.

The food was yum! Absolutely heavenly! Except that the burger had white stuff on it which looks like a fungus but i think it is flour.

Never ordering again. I made an order for 1 meal at around 5 and on the app it told me the order was being prepared for over 2 hours and then it randomly said it has been delivered when it hasnt.

Took over an hour to come from ordering. When food arrive chips were cold! Second time this has happened.

I've awarded 2 stars for food but decided not to buy anything for myself due to the lack of service so can't comment if it is any good. The 3 stars reflect the level of customer service. Such a shame if it is the same owner who opened this franchise because I trained with him in the gym many many moons ago and he's a great guy.

I was looking forward to enjoy a meal with my friends which was meant to arrive at 9:30 but i didn't so around 9:40 started to call to ask where my meal was but the lines were busy 14 times. I did not get through to them and while waiting for over half an hour i received a text from them cancelling my order

staff don't listen of what your order. some of them are rude as well like I order at 9:30 pm when I get the food at 9:45 he said only take away which i told him I am going to dine in. chicken hardly has souce on it.

I recently ordered from Pepes and had a very frustrating experience. I was really looking forward to enjoying my meal, but it took them over an hour to deliver my food. I understand that sometimes things can get busy, but waiting that long is unacceptable. It felt like my order was completely forgotten, and I was left feeling disappointed and hungry. The lack of communication from the restaurant only added to my frustration. Overall, the service was not up to par, and I can't say I would recommend them based on this experience. One star is all I can give.

Out of all the pepes this one is a let down! Watered down sauce ...bland rice and very cheap om the portions when comes to chicken In the chicken and rice. Defo gone down hill over there years compared to other pepes

Always good service and quality of food

Got chicken and rice mild and it gave me an upset stomach the chicken was dry and dis not seem fresh.

Driver never come to drop off location messaged me then marked delivery as delivered.

It was very expensive not worth the money for chicken and rice and two dips I paid more than £20 which is a total rip off and not worth the money. the chips were very soggy , I asked for Piri fries and it it was plain . The chicken didn’t have much flavour like I have had with other Stores’s.

By far the worst service I seen. Absolutely rubbish. Received my order with missing items in my order and the srvs is very poor. The manager was very rude and his trainee that took the order also lied about the order gave the wrong items and did not fulfill the order. Do not order from here! They are liars and don't expect good food or service. My order came to £50 and they had missed items and did not fulfill the order. Nor give me a refund.

I ordered chicken and rice, a menu item recommended by Uber Eats. Even though I used coarse rice, which I don't prefer, it came out better cooked than I expected. I ordered mild, and it seemed to be really well controlled, with a slight spicy flavor. The staff were also really friendly, so I was able to order with ease. The seasoned French fries were also really delicious.

One of my rice box’s is missing. I called the shop the worker on the phone said that there was no food left spare. He then said to go through just eats which don’t help as this was my dinner. He was unhelpful. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO THIS PEPES AGAIN. Will have to spend more money on food and have to wait longer due to the workers not being able to do their job properly.

First time ordering and last. The chicken fajita wrap was cold, the 'peri peri' fries had barely any taste at all. The chicken and rice box was average. My garlic mayo spilt everywhere.

For a fast food joint , it deserves a 5 🌟. Piri Piri chicken is not far off Nandos quality for much cheaper. Piri’s Baked beans is an absolute must - delicious stuff. Their quesadillas are also really good for £3. Simple excellent comfort food Edited : they've been taking the piss recently since the old manager left 25 mins for 1 quesadilla when they only have 4 customers like seriously ? Fast food ? The staff are working at a snail's pace the service here is ridiculous .

They didnt deliver the food to my address it said it was delivered which it wasnt so i called the restaurant they said to ring just eat for a refund but i never recieved a refund

I went into the store and placed my order where I was told 15, so I waited, then 15 minutes went, and 10 more and there was a uber picking up and he got fed up with waiting as well there are 2 lads making the pizza they do more talking than anything they only work at one pace so if you don't mind the waiting then that's OK but 25 to 30 minutes for a pizza is ridiculous I won't go there again and I won't place an order online either because it would be cold its not the delivery guys fault he has to waite what an experience

Food was an average and I founded 2 items were missing in my order. I called to the store at Sally oak and talk with Mr. Hamza. As I told him about the missing items, he roudly said that he is not responsible for that as he didn't packed your order, go and call to uber. He behaved very roudly and irresponsible. I said that I will complaint about his behaviour. He said me go ahead. This was my first order and really it's very bad experience.

I ordered my food at 7:00, I called the restaurant to let them know not to put mayonnaise in the burger as my son is allergic they said there was nothing they could do and the food was already on the way 45 mins later still no food,bare in mind its a 10 min drive if that, eventually it arrived at 8.20 pm freezing cold and my sons burger full of mayo so that went in the bin, spent £45 overall... Never again!!!! The man who answered the phone was an idiot and needs to work on his customer service

I want my refund ASAP I told the driver the instructions of where my house was if he looked at the numbers instead of just driving all the way to top he would of seen the house, then decides to pass he’s phone on to a bunch of kids telling them my door number and where I live, all while I’m still on the phone trying to direct him to my house. Instead of getting in the car he decided to walk back down the road wasting more minutes then when he gets to me I asked him’ is my food cold ? He said it might be cause I’ve been walking round up the top of the road My food is stone cold. I’ve just gone to the shop and they said to get the refund back from yourselves.

This pepes is stringy. It was good but somewhere in 2023 they started becoming stingy. The chicken used the be juicy and full of sauce, but now they just put just enough to get away with it. For some reason this pepes extra hot is just normal in other pepes. I live near this pepes but rather drive to a different one.

Original delivery time given was 8.40pm. Then at 8.50pm it changed to 9.25pm. When we rang the restaurant they said it was ready and waiting on the driver, this was at 8.50pm. Our food was delivered at 9.25pm. And food was literally stone cold. Clearly had been sat waiting for the driver and not made fresh. Very disappointed and will not be ordering again.

first and last time at this branch, Staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I waited over 30 minutes for my food while it was sat there collecting dust, had to ask staff if my order was ready to which the cashier replied "I don't know there's loads of orders here" Wouldn't recommend, unless you want cold food and to be treated like a beggar

A good place to eat in Selly Oak. The place was clean, the service was fast and respectful and the food was good. It's a good choice for my Muslim friends since the place serves halal food. It also has vegetarian options.
