Pepe's in Preston

Ordered on Just Eat, food was squashed and cold. There was hair in the exploded and crushed dip pots and the chicken was severely pink on the inside. Managed to get a refund from just eat luckily

Food was an hour late and then found a massive black hair in garlic mayo and the chicken was pink.

Poor undercooked food it’s chicken on grill you wouldn’t think it would be difficult going down hill fast

Been going there many times but this time is a last time... They have gone greedy... 30 pens for red salt?? 50pens for any sauce? Unbelievable

I ordered a half chicken and the sauce leaked everywhere there was no red salt on the chips and everything was cold

No doubt the food is good , but I've had consistent issues with the service. Specifically, the tall girl with glasses often seems preoccupied with her phone and doesn't attend to customers promptly. Despite calling ahead to collect my order, I've had to wait around 5 minutes each time, which is frustrating when I'm trying to save time. While the food is always good, the service, especially from this staff member, has been disappointing.

I have ordered paneer rice mild (paneer should be grilled, thats what it says on display menu), I have been serving with raw paneer. When I rung up, the guy over the phone was arguing rather than apologising, he doesn’t even know what’s grilled paneer and whats raw paneer. Pathetic experience with pathetic staff. Never going again and will never recommend to anyone.

I placed an order on Deliveroo, pepes decided to deliver the order themselves and they delivered it to the incorrect house and I did not get any compensation for the order

I came into store and purchased half a chicken meal, came home and started to eat my food, the food was really good until I realised the inside part of the chicken wasn’t cooked properly and was pink and jelly like, I immediately rang the store which they said please bring the food in and they will replace the food, I mentioned a small amount has been eaten but I have spat it out so its dirty bringing it back, but as they insisted I just put it in the bag and brought it back (baring in mind I drove 20minutes there and 20minutes back as I live near the other side of preston). When I came into store all the staff started observing the spat out food which was raw and was questioning me. The cook on the grill mentioned I should have asked for the food to be well done but chicken should be well cooked regardless as it can’t be pink or raw. Either way I went about my own business and waited for my food to be made again. As I was collecting the food the guy on the till called Mohin told the nice lady on the fries duty to not put red salt on my fries on purpose, I then had to ask if he could do so which he was annoyed about, he then mentioned I shouldn’t be eating half the chicken before bringing it back (baring in mind I only realised as it was the inner part of the chicken that was raw) they were trying to accuse me of trying to cheat them but why would I waste 2 hours of my day driving back if the chicken was fine, It actually made me feel really angry as I am a paying loyal customer who comes in everyweek for the food as it’s usually really good. They made me feel really embarrassed and uncomfortable as they made these accusations infront of everyone in the store. This goes to show that there is no professionalism or courtesy for paying customers. The chicken shouldn’t be raw end of and if a paying customers goes out of his way to return the chicken for a new one he isn’t going to do so to seek advantage. Pepes is usually amazing and I love the food but after today I will not be coming back anymore as the customer service is awful and has put me off from returning.

Food is superb, highly recommend.

They don’t wear gloves while preparing food,i asked them why and they said because we’re preparing food and can’t do with gloves.Ok

Very despointed service no help at all and delivery did not come at all on just eat waiting for refund now don't know no one pick phone up on Uber Eats and pepes did not help at all they said they can't do anything about it waited for hours for delivery and my kid was waiting for it nothing came up so dispointed with the service the just eat guys did not make effort to phone me nothing never going to order again here

Ordered on Uber eats and they forgot my chocolate cake on my birthday, at. 23.36pm at night a pregnant woman with no car and asked me to come pick it up or I wasn’t eligible for a refund

I want to say excellent quality of food, service and atmosphere.

Freshly cooked grilled food, reasonably priced. The mango and lime grilled wings are a must try. The phones are always busy and it’ll take a while to get through to them. When you go to collect your order, be prepared wait even if you turn up at the time that was suggested. On this be point the service is really bad and you may be ignored when you turn up to collect

Pepe's is my most favorite restaurant in Preston... whenever I plan to eat something from outside, I go on pepe's.. Highly recommended.

Ordered a lemon and herb burrito the rice and sauce was that sour it was inedible. The chips on all 4 meals ordered were cold by the time i received them. The chicken nuggets in the kids meal were that overcooked and hard my 4 year old could not bite through them. All in all a terrible experience will definitely not be ordering again as most of it went in the bin. The only positive was the fairly speedy delivery but that counts for nothing if the food is inedible.

Went to get a bite to eat with my nephew. It was freezing as people kept leaving open and the food touch ages. Yhe fries were re-fried, burnt and too crunchy. Overall not impressed as our meals weren't up to scratch and the 1/2 chicken was slightly undercooked.

I have been a genuine customer for months now. Food (paneer rice) was good before a few months, but now the food quality has degraded, not cooked properly, paneer texture like rubber and rice is sticky, maybe chef is changed. Going downhill 👎🏻

Ordered off just eat, delivery time got pushed back 30 min after already waiting 30 min just for the food to never be delivered after waiting for nearly 2 hours altogether

Hot chicken wings spicy rice salad and corn on cob really nice every time my daughter always gets chicken and rice hot too her favourite meal of all times certain members of staff are very friendly and welcoming every time well done to them only like everything else they have put prices up and not able to buy this as much as we would like

Brilliant food place. Order ahead and collect. No delays and quality maintained every visit Suggest order and collect but avoid places that order for you as they add their own commission making it way dear for the food you get. 12 months later and still same great quality

Rubbery chicken in the rice box I bought 4 rice boxes yesterday and they quality was not acceptable and the wings smelt like off chicken. This place has gone down hill. They keep chicken too long in warmer and don’t dispose of chicken instead Serve to customers shameful.

Thank God the food was quality. But the service was absolutely terrible. The lady at counter in the black head scraf definitely needs therapy. When entering any food establish you should be treated and spoken to with respect. She was rude and impatient. Considering this was my first time here at Preston pepe’s. After receiving my food. I was given serval dirty looks. How is anyone suppose to enjoy food when they are made to feel very uncomfortable

Honestly I am lost for words on how to describe this place. It’s literally heaven!!! I’ve been ordering from pepes for about a year and half now and I can’t bring myself to order from anywhere else. I highly recommend the wrap meal it is BEAUTIFUL!!!

I am a regular customer of Pepe's Preston. Me along with my family absolutely love it. My fav. are Extreme Hot Wings Texan Beef Burger (most authentic beef burger in whole Preston when it comes to Halal options) My family loves milder deals: Chicken Rice Box Quadsilla

I was very disappointed with the order I got here yesterday. I had ordered Chick N Rice a couple of times and it felt good. However, the same item I ordered yesterday was a huge letdown. The rice was undercooked, and the flavour combination was insufficient. Aside from that, the chicken was not properly cooked and was not adequately fried. As a result, the entire flavour was bland, and I was really unhappy with the dish I ordered.

I had the best food in Preston @ Pepe’s I had the chicken XL meal flavour extra hot & lemon herb. The food was delicious and I had some wings they were well cooked and the flovour of lemon herb with a bit of spice of hot flavor was mouth watering. The service was excellent and staff were very polite. 10/10 service and would recommend. Keep up the hard work 👍

i ordered the prime pitta with the new limited edition sweet and sour mixed with extra hot and it did not disappoint one bit, i was a bit iffy with trying the new flavour but its instantly become my favourite. Staff are always so polite and make me feel welcome whenever i come down, props to the management team there whatever you’re doing carry on doing it Farooq, top guy u definitely know how to run a business 👏👏

Tasty fresh food full of flavour good service

Tried pepes tonight randomly, I was hungry and just walked in then decided to order blindly and wasn't disappointed. I got the paneer nachos with fries, so much flavour and a great amount of food for the cost. I'll definitely be back!

Staff are really nice , foods always made perfect never had any issues with this branch, probably my favourite pepes up north.💯💯

Spent £65 on food and received half of it. Called restaurant and they've blamed the driver. Called the driver and blames restaurant. Received £6 refund. This is a joke. My biggest mistake is ordering in the first place. Would never order here again.

Absolutely terrible in every way! RIP OFF! SOOO EXPENSIVE Usually we order through Uber but because we thought it might be cheaper picking it up, I went to pick it up, the price wasn’t any better, it was still very expensive. But one thing I did notice, the takeaway and staff hygiene looks disgusting, There’s a guy who’s picking his nose whilst cooking, there’s another guy having his dinner whilst still cooking, Appalling!

Got a chicken and cheese quesedia.....was barely warm, not a lot of chicken was £4.99, bit poor really, should have taken it back after the first bite.

I got chicken tasca the bread was very hard. I did not finished just had one bite and left all the food.

Awesome food. They never fail to reach my expectations. I don't think they're aware of just how much people like their food. Their fries are the best, and chick'n'rice box is perfecttt and for people who can tolerate indian level spiciness, "Extra Hot" flavour would be perfect for you. Other flavours are good too, with less spiciness but some tangy flavour.

I am not sure what is wrong with this place. no one pick up the call and when they pick up the lady talk likes she doesn’t want to take the order ! that’s super funny though as never had experience such place where they don’t want orders but still open. consider closing it 👍

V. Helpful in service and reasonable cost

My daughter ordered chicken and rice and a bug was found just when she was about to take a bite!🤮She rang and spoke to a lady who said it happen's !!!! Is she for real!!! Absolutely disgusting!

Ordered a single meal for myself when I went in, asked for hot chicken wings and was given the mildest sauce instead. Since I ordered in store and took the order home I didn’t realise until it was too late. The ticket on the order displayed the right option but the kitchen didn’t follow order instructions. The chicken itself was okay, but rather expensive for what it is. If my order was right in the future I might consider ordering again, however there are plenty of other options for good food takeaway in the local area.

Inconsistent, sometimes quite good and sometimes really bad. Staff don’t understand food hygiene at times and they don’t seem to have specific dine in times, sometimes it’s until 10pm and sometimes they shut dine in early when cba serving you, makes it pointless going as you can’t plan! Also kind of depends if your a ‘brother’ if you get good service 🙄

Manager of this pepes franchise has zero manners! Asking for cash from customers( possibly trying to avoid paying tax) despite having a card machine. Absolute rude with zero customer service. Staff have more manners than this clown! Please avoid when he is around as he is rude to his own staff as well!

An absolutely amazing Pepes, workers are all super super nice especially the young woman with glasses. Very very well priced compared to other locations across the country and generous portions, can’t fault them at all really 10/10 staff 10/10 food 10/10 service; if you want the pinnacle of Pepes this is it, unbeatable imo and I don’t think any of the others across the country that I’ve been to match up to the stellar service and kind heartedness of staff that is present here. Keep up the good work :)

Whenever we come to preston we always go here. Every single time we go the food is on point and the staff are really lovely and go above and beyond to make you happier.

The reviews speak for themselves, big franchise, ha! What a joke, overpriced chicken, terrible, terrible service, ordered £45 worth of food, the delivery driver dropped it off and then left, the food was incorrect, the management tried to sort it out and then re-sent the order which was incorrect again and again, the food that did arrive was stone cold! Complained numerous times but still no response, management said they would sort it but they never did, they just don't get what customer service is! They just talk over you and don't actually listen. When you have been messed about so much you just don't want to eat from the takeaway you have ordered from because they are that incompetent, for them to say we have had the full order and that we were lying is disgusting.

Tuesday lunch order. Delivered very late. OK we thought, least it's here. Then half the order missing. Not the best experience really that. Phoned the number provided to attempt to sort, told to phone the restaurant, given the number, so did..... nothing but number busy for nearly 30mins we tried. Embarrassing really that a works lunch treat was ruined. Wouldn't recommend. Go elsewhere. I will be honest and say food that did come was alright (compared to what some reviews for them say!).

Order a full chicken from here very often. Food has been consistently great and never has there been a delay in delivery.
