I came here with my partner because we had heard about the amazing big pizzas. We ordered one to share and they delivered us a small one. This wouldn’t have been a problem but the waitress told us they couldn’t make a large because they’d run out of ingredients so we had to have another small one. She didn’t offer a refund or something else so we felt we had to do this. 3 minutes later I went back to her an asked if there was another option but it was too late as they already had put it in the oven so we were given it and didn’t even touch it. I went to them after to express that we weren’t happy and they were extremely rude and wouldn’t even offer the difference back. I’m not usually one to leave a negative review and we probably caught them on an off day but I have to say it really put me off. Having worked many years as a waitress myself this isn’t what I expect from service. The pizza was nice but the garlic bread was dry and not worth it. I hope you have a better experience than we did.

Whilst the staff were friendly, the quality of food and drink (and hygiene) was unacceptable. The Diet Coke was significantly diluted, the menus were stuck together with beer residue (and difficult to read in the dark cellar). We mistakenly ordered a vegan Diavolo pizza which was soggy, unspicy, topped with pink gunk representing pepperoni. I mentioned to the chef that the pizza was inedible : he said he agreed! But that there was nothing he could do about it. I mentioned that the commercial thing to do given that the cost of the pizza itself was probably less than £2 (which he agreed with) (list price £22) was to offer a replacement. He laughed at me. (It is worth mentioning that there was no antipasti, and the bar did not accept the payment methods labeled on the door.). Unless and until there is a greater appreciation that customer satisfaction drives restaurant success, this is a restaurant to AVOID. Unhygienic, inedible and a laughable attitude to customer satisfaction.

Jesus, I rarely leave a negative review but my lord has this place changed. Downstairs used to be fiercely reserved for people eating, now it's a free for all with the drinkers. If you like being absolutely deafened by drunk people then go here, you will enjoy the screaming for the rest of the night as your ears ring. What a shame, this place used to be good but it is an absolute disgrace, pathetic. Food is average. Hopefully this place goes under soon and then it can drop being a 'restaurant', because it isn't, it's a small confined pub where everyone screams to be heard.

Came here as I’d read online it offered vegan pizza. We had our temperature checked on the door which made it feel somewhat safer and there was a one way system in place. There’s a really good selection of vegan pizzas available both with faux meat and just veg. We ordered a pizza each along with some olives and beer. Again, there’s a decent selection of beer. Not sure whether the staff are knowledgable about which beers are vegan as I often find it easier to check on Barnivore. Service was incredibly fast even though we had been warned it was really busy. We must have received our food within 10 minutes of ordering. It was really delicious, especially the artichoke cream. Beware that is is INCREDIBLY noisy downstairs and the only way to converse is to shout. Lost a star for not taking our details for test and trace. Really irresponsible at the moment.

I ordered a pizza from this place and it can only be described as bizarre. The cheese part was so thin and soggy, it was like there wasn't even a base towards the centre. Wet and floppy and EXTREMELY thin pizza, I honestly don't even know what they did to the pizza to get it like that, it was like the middle of it had been scraped or something. Very disappointing and a huge waste of money.

Myself and a few colleagues visited on a Wednesday evening, after work. It was more crowded than usual and seriously understaffed, with only one waiter to serve the entire restaurant. To put it bluntly: 20 minutes to get a table, hour and a half wait for starters to materialise (with no side plates) pizza finally rocked up half an hour later - cold and undercooked. At no time were we told how long we would have to wait - or even offered any complimentary drinks. By this time, the restaurant was near empty. Discount initially offered for the terrible food and service? 10%! We finally walked away with only having to pay for one of the pizzas (out of two). Definitely would not recommend.

Very nice restaurant with the Beer Emporium sharing the space. The restaurant is in the cellar with vaulted brick ceilings making it cosy. We both ordered pizza, a regular one and a 20 inch. Both were promptly polished off. Everything I expect in a pizza, fresh ingredients and delicious. Caters to vegans and veggies as well. Drinks come from the beer emporium which offers a nice selection of ales as well as the usual wines. Proces are also pretty competitive. A nice evening and worth a trip.

I’ve been here a couple of times now and I have to say I have really enjoyed the food. The vegan toppings can sometimes be a little strange and the vegan cheese can have a funny texture when left for a while. However, we did enjoy and will definitely be back in the future.

Im not in the habit of knocking restaurants that serve vegan food, but I have eaten here half a dozen times and all was always excellent until last Saturday. The cheese on one of the Vegan Pizzas was very odd, kind of grainy, maybe it was not melted enough. We spoke to the waiter about it who said it was the same as always, we could look at the packet if we liked??? When he came back to ask how was our meal we explained again about the cheese, which he could see, as it was left on the plate. He said he would talk to his manager. Whether he spoke to his manager or not I dont know, but nothing was said so eventually he brought over the bill we paid and left. Can also be very noisy in the dining area as it is built in a cellar with brick walls, so if your unlucky enough to be in there at the same time as someone that likes the sound of their own voice and shouts instead of talks be prepared to hear it in deafening surround sound. Instead of the treat we were expecting, it felt like we had wasted our time, money and calories. I wished we had just gone to Pizza Express. I will say there is a huge choice of beers and Ciders and they are great and well kept
