this place is one of my favorites i can order it from my house and by the time i get there its hot and ready i suggest the Hong Kong style chicken its delicious

Average at best. Honk kong loads better. Burnt prawn toast and spring rolls. Beef curry was nice tbf but sides rubbish. Expensive also

I had vegetable rice and some mini spring rolls and it was so lovely and there was a lot there considering how cheap it was. Also, excellent customer service.

Ordered our food, we was told 30 the food was literally cooked to order within the 30 minutes. The food was hot and so good, I would definitely recommend as it's probably the best Chinese I've ever had. The Beef pad Thai and house Special Vermicelli was incredibl.

Me and mum stayed at romney sands holiday park and did not want to cook one night we found this nice chinese takeaway read some reviews online decided to try it. Service was very good. Only 2 minutes from our holiday park. Food was hot and lovely. If we came back to the park we would definately go here again.

Hot tasty food, didn’t have to wait long to collect. Good size portions. Haven’t been here for a long time. Visiting parents so thought we would try it, we wasn’t disappointed.

After reading some of the recent reviews I was slightly put off when ordering how ever we was not at all disappointed and can honestly say was one of the best Chineses we have eaten in a long time! We was staying down for the weekend and after being out for the day fancied. The food was really fresh and tasty and not greasy at all which I find sometimes Chinese can be. Would defiantly order again next time we are staying in the area!

Never again it’s just like water and has gone downhill… such a shame as local. I have rung and told them so won’t be a surprise

Guess we were unlucky. Lots of good reviews. But our takeaway was very poor. Bland, and some items not cooked properly. Very doughy balls. Will get my wok out for future Chinese meals.

Takeaway meal for two. Excellent. Food hot and very tasty. Pre-ordered by phone and collected half hour later. Best dish, spoilt for choice but did like the spare ribs.

Rude manager but nice food, we had a missing item with our order we phoned up politely to say they hadn’t put the item in, but charged us he was adamant that I was wrong even tho I had the full menu infront of me the amount didn’t add up missing item, he said don’t call me again instead of resolving the situation. However food was lovely just shame about the manager

I don't think I could rate this Chinese high enough! The chicken balls are fried to perfection and the chips are really fluffy and chunky 😋. Everything was perfect; the egg rice was perfectly balanced as was everything else. Prices are reasonable and affordable, especially for the quality of food. After ordering, only took about 10 minutes to have it ready to collect, so efficient! Would more than definitely recommend for a nice meal out with friends or family, maybe even just yourself! Wouldn't blame you 😄

We typically use this chinese every now and then, as we prefer delivery over collection but tonight we struggled to get any Chinese takeaway’s near us to deliver. So we opted to collect it, and my goodness that was by far a very good choice! We ordered; ribs in bbq sauce, egg fried rice, chicken curry, prawn balls, chicken in mandarin sauce, chips in curry sauce, beef with mushrooms, and more! And it was cooked to perfection! Even after the drive back home it was still piping hot, and the customer service on the phone was excellent! Cannot fault Pegasus at All! Prices are reasonable and food is of great quality, will be returning😊

My wife and I ordered Chinese curry, sweet & sour Hongkong style, Beef in Black bean sauce and beef chow mein for our lunch. All excellent, with plenty of meat, taste and quantity.

Each time we’ve had a meal from this restaurant the food has been cold, and the batter is never cooked through

Used twice for set menu meals and both times very nice and reasonably priced. Unfortunately they don’t deliver but worth the walk.

Saturday 26th September. Ordered a meal via phone at 6.30 pm and arranged collection at 7.30 pm. On arriving there were approx 12 people waiting outside for their meals.My wife went in and paid for the meal at 7.30 pm and asked how long it will be before it is ready.She was told it is being cooked now. I went in at 7.40 pm and asked how long for it to finished cooking, I was told it had not been started yet and they could give me no idea when it would be ready?? I cancelled my order and my money was refunded. Some people I discovered had been waiting an hour outside for their meal. Every other take away I have used recently take orders by phone and the meal is either ready or, a 10 minute wait once monies are paid. Pegasus has no such system,they take the order and it seems when you arrive you go to the end of the queue. My advice is do not rely on a collection time when arriving for a telephone order. Face masks not worn by all of the counter staff. No notice on door requesting masks to be worn.

If you want a fabulous Chinese takeaway this is the place to go , they was very busy when we went but still gave first rate service, the only take cash but there is a cash machine on the side of the Spar store next door

My wife, son and I had a takeaway meal this lunchtime. Excellent food and excellent service. Would highly recommend. All freshly and extremely tasty.

Have used this place many times when I’m staying in the area. Never disappointed. Plenty of choice, good portion size and consistent quality of food.

I have been going to this take away for15 years and always looked forward to it after a long drive down to the coast. I've previously given it a rave review on here. But two recent experiences have finished me off. The food this week was disgusting.We had chicken with ginger and spring onions and egg fried rice. The rice was ok.The chicken didn't look cooked. Pale and limp. We even refried it to make sure it was cooked but it still didn't crisp up or become less anaemic as it was coated in slimy gunk.Just inedible. We decided that the chicken is boiled or steamed and then given a flash in a frying pan to reheat it. Plus the dish was bulked out with piles of limp slices of white onions. I thought it was bad last time but agreed to give it another go. Never again.

Chose the meal for 2. Lots of lovely fresh and hot Chow mein. The sweet & sour chicken was lush, beef and mixed veg with special fried rice and free prawn crackers. It was very busy, clearly, the locals know it's a good Chinese. Excellent place to go, try it soon!

We usually come here on our first night of our holidays to Greatstone (we come here a few times a year.) The set meals are very generous and all the dishes complement each other well. My wife is a big sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style fan and she speaks highly of theirs. We often have enough leftovers for a tasty lunch the next day.

We moved to the area recently and realised this was close to us so tried it. I don't usually like chinese food as it usually makes me ill but I have had no problems with Pegasus. Their food is always cooked fresh and tastes great! We visit regularly now! Maybe too regularly?

Close to caravan park it’s a good business. A bit of a problem getting through on the phone in busy times. Rice is always tasty and the lemon chicken one of my favourites. The chefs work hard ( in my opinion) as there is never. A long wait for the food. Will I use as a take away again ..... yes without doubt.

We had a varied selection for three of us and everyone said how great their food was. We phoned the order through and they said ten minutes but we asked if they could make it twenty and it wasn't a problem. Arrived and our order was being put in bag right on time. Very good service at counter. Well done.

Generous portions of very tasty freshly cooked food, you see into the kitchen from the serving counter. Usual enormous Chinese menu to choose from, wish we were staying longer so we could sample more of it.Best Chinese take away we have had in a long time, bag of prawn crackers thrown in at no charge all served by a pleasant young man. Didn't have to wait very long either.

We had chicken chow mein, beef in black bean sauce, chicken curry and sweet & sour Hongkong style plus rice. Ample portions, excellent quality, fresh and did not wait long. We have used before and will certainly use again.

Excellent fast friendly service with great food, what more could you ask for. Well Pegasus just need to move into the 21st century and accept credit and debit cards. This lost them out on five stars.

After previously reviewing and rating this as 5 star, I have to admit something about Pegasus has changed.

We have had 5 take-away meals from here in the last year, everyone as nice as the first!! Very nice food, nice friendly staff, super fast service!!! “Cash only payment”..cash point only 50 yards away. Hygiene rating 4 stars, lovely food, Very Clean and without doubt worthy of 10+Star’s “Highly recommended”

Passed by several times, but last week gave it a go. Pleasantly surprised at the menu choices. Just a shame there aren't more "sit in" Chinese places in the area.

The only Chinese in area which does not do delivery. They do not need to as I would travel for their food. After many unfortunate Chinese meals from others in the area, I found Pegasus, and will only ever use them in the future.

The food and service is great. Everything is fresh and tasty. You don't have to wait long also phone ordering good. They do not deliver Would definitely recommend.

Ordered beef in black bean sauce, chicken chinese curry, sweet & sour pork Hong Kong style and egg fried rice. All excellent, cooked fresh with first class ingredients, with all meats tasting as they should. Good not be bettered.

We went to this take away, while on holiday here and this was the nearest one we could find. The tofu dishes were excellent, large crispy pieces and plenty of them, I really recommend. The chips were nice also. Just wish they delivered.

I just wanted to write a quick review to say what a great Chinese Take Away this is. We have been here about 5 times and every time we've been, it's been fantastic. The food is fresh, fried things crispy and waiting times are very short. Every time I've been in to get something for dinner, we've only waited about 5 mins. The staff are lovely and every time I've taken my children in with me (3 & 1) they've been given free fortune cookies while we waited, which is always very much appreciated!They usually have an English chap on reception. (I'm just mentioning that because sometimes accents can be hard to understand on the phone.) Although I have to admit I never bother ringing in my order as it's so quick.They don't take card payments (like everywhere on the Marsh!) but there is a cash machine on the side wall of the Spar shop next door. Overall, a great Chinese - I just wish they delivered! Would definitely recommend it though.

Cold, pappy, and tasteless over all very disappointing, we have noticed a steady decline in the food over the last few months with a steady increase in the price's we will not be returning.

I stopped in to order Pegasus Chinese Takeaway tonight and was pretty dissapointed with the chili chicken which had the consistency of calamari, the greasy egg rolls, and the lack of napkins, soy sauce, utensils, or plum sauce for the egg rolls. The only thing decent was the spare ribs with mandarin sauce that I thought was a good value. No fortune cookies? No recommendation.

Ordered a take-away and drove home to open burnt chips that were rock hard, dried and shrivelled. The batter on all savoury and sweet courses was either overcooked so it was dry or it went pappy and soft. The shrimp curry was tasteless and so too was the chow mein! The special foo yong looked like a battered egg frisbee with two shrimps in it and fifteen onions! All the food was that bad that even my two dogs turned their noses up at it! Never, ever again will I return to this place! I think the food was cooked last week and re-heated to death! I have no qualms in management looking in to this and would strongly advise that they do!! We have pictures to prove the disgusting, unacceptable "food" and can confirm the order name etc. Did not wish to venture back out after being at work all day so chucked it in the bin! AVOID AVOID AVOID unless of course you are wealthy with money to chuck away and are on a strict diet which bans you from eating take-aways! £25 worth of abhorrent food chucked in the bin!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Phone ordered a takeaway and collected 10 mins later. All the food was fresh and hot. We chineses curry, sweet and sour Hongkong style, chicken in black bean sauce and beef chow mein and rice. It was one of the best chinese meals we we have had for a long time.

This very welcoming and clean takeaway offers fast service of sizzling tasty food. The portions are a great size too. Not sure how authentic it is but who cares?! Always a good feed with a smile.

It is hard to say how good Chinese food is in England when you come from Scotland. English Chinese are so much inferior to up north but this one is not to bad.

Got take away last week. Such good value for money. Well cooked and so tasty. Portions are good. All food is freshly cooked in view of the counter. Very clean shop and staff very helpful. We had quite a variety and each dish was excellent.

Used to work in Littlestone and always saw this place ,I am very experienced Chef and have worked in many exotic places but have to say would only ever eat Chinese food in Chinatown London !I have not been to a Chinese Takeaway in the UK or restaurant for years as it is always the same and rather bland !Here they cater to the English palate as would be expected ,portions are very generous , as for the more adventurous dishes , great flavours ,textures and again decent portions !Good value , pleasant service ,popular even out of season ,a little Gem !Now I am getting hungry !

This is a great takeaway with good service, the only downside in summer is it is near a caravan park and gets very crowded at weekend particularly even if you phone ahead and order.

Brilliantly cooked food with real flavour. Fair prices and great portions. Best if you can ring order through as this take away is always busy and rightly so. Give it a go and you will not be disappointed.

I drive past 3 Chinese takeaways on my way home from work. Two of them are appalling and even the owner of the one in Romney High Street admits his food is rubbish but he cooks it that way because the locals like it.Pegasus is easily the best of the three and it's even on a par with Fu Hey in Largs.If you're on holiday in the area and looking for a reliable chinky then get ye tae Pegasus!

Always use this takeaway. The best Chinese for miles around. May have to wait a while but thats because it's so popular. The food is delicious and is worth the wait.

Do not be put off with how this take away looks, it is probably one of the best take away Chinese meals you wI'll ever taste. I use it all the time and have no hesitation in recommending it.

I had struggled for the past seven years to find a decent Chinese restaurant nearby. I had completely ignored the entirely unassuming Pegasus as potentially just another grotty takeaway. How wrong I was!I've been to China and eaten in some superb restaurants there. Pegasus is as good as any I've been to.Food is fresh, the sauces are clean tasting and clearly not laced with buckets of monosodium glutomate and you can watch the food being cooked in the open kitchen beyond the main counter.I cannot recommend specific dishes because all of those I have tried have been excellent. Be warned though, the portions are very generous and if, like me, you like to order several different dishes, you will likely have a complete meal left over to go in the freezer!

Food hot generous portions always best to phone order through.Premises do not look appealing which is a shame as service good if you phone through order otherwise at popular times you wait.

I really like the fact you get to see your meal being cooked. This is a nice touch & the food isn't bad either!

While good, reasonably priced and efficient, Pegasus is far from perfect. It appears to rely too much on commercial bulk sauces as was demonstrated by a recent purchase of chicken in yellow bean sauce which was so sweet as to be uneatable. Other dishes have proved better but, again, appear to be reliant on "bought in" ingredients rather than freshly prepared. Still good value though.

As far as Chinese go there are a few here but really none of them come up to the Pegasus it's a bit of a trip for us but we'll worth it. When we stay at our house in new romney we go for take away at least once a week to Pegasus and have never been let down . Highly recommend it. .

We like most of the population as a family enjoy our Chinese take away. And probably like my family have eaten in many restaurants in many places over the years. well what can i say other than the Pegasus being the most delicious food we have ever eaten.
