Peck in St Edmundsbury

Have been to this place loads of times but went with a decent sized group recently and we basically ordered one of everything on the menu. Everyone was impressed and left wanting more. The chicken tastes amazing with a crispy coating and juicy inside. The sauces are brilliant and full of flavour. And the buns and condiments are fresh and delicious. Always great service, locally sourced ingredients and always absolutely delicious. You really can't get much better than this. It's just on a different level to any other fried chicken you'd get in the area.

What can I say. They are the best. I love their buffalo tenders and fries. I try and visit every week or two and they have never disappointed. Friendly staff and realistic about when they can serve your order especially as they are often busy with takeaways. I even found them in a food truck at a jousting event recently in Castle Hedingham? Loved it.

We had seen the Food Review Club's video on YouTube and knew we had to come here to try out the chicken. We were not disapointed!! For a start the staff are amazing, friendly, full of information and so welcoming. I was born in Bury St Edmunds and went to college there and love Suffolk and its people, they are so friendly. Everything was made fresh, we had the Mumma Hen, Buff and Cowgirl fries finishing off with a cherry bakewell milkshake. Absolute heaven! The chicken is so tasty, the sauces incredible. Fantastic! Thank you so much, you all should be so proud of the business and your customer service, we cant wait to come back !

Disappointing meal where previously it has been excellent - chicken overcooked, bordering on burnt, and roll was like elastic and difficult to bite through without squashing the whole burger and everything squeezing out the sides (yes, I do have my own teeth). And who is in charge of stock control - again at 6:45 no wings

The best food in Bury. Whenever I want food I want Peck. Chicken good. Sauce good. Shakes good. Staff good. Decor goood. Thank you for existing.

What can I say. This is my favorite chicken tenders and fries place in Bury. They do Buffalo tenders that are heavenly. Their buffalo fries are enough for two people IMO. And their chocolate shakes. Yummy. The staff is great and friendly. Only a few spots to eat in so normally do a takeaway. One tip order in advance as they sometimes run out of things on a busy Saturday night!

Honestly the best chicken you can get in bury and really great customer service. It’s a short wait to get your food and you won’t regret it when it comes! I’ve been there time and time again and it has absolutely never failed to be one of the best meals I’ve had.

We love this place!! Every time we come to Bury, we make sure to come here. They’re food is so fresh, and cooked on the spot (sometimes the wait time can be long because of this). We usually order both types of tenders. They’re Full of flavour and come with some amazing sauces. They’re chips are quite sweet and addictive, haha! Staff is kind and friendly! Prices are pretty good considering how much food you get and the quality of it! Definitely worth a visit!

I try and go to Peck's anytime I can. The do not have tables (but you can eat on their counter top in a few chairs or their bench. So takeaway is the name of the game. Their tenders are out of this world. Hand breaded the night before and then cooked the next day they are scrumptious. I get the buffalo fries (huge portions thank you) and buffalo tenders (Boneless wings) and chocolate shake. Takeaway probably 2-3 times a month. Love this place and the vibe is so great, And now there is pickup parking across from them. A bay for 3 cars. YES Important note they usually run out of food on Saturdays as they are so busy.

We live in bury st edmunds and are used to all the chicken shops here from kfc to bird box- Peck tops it all! It may be a little bit expensive but I promise it’s not overpriced; the portion size and the quality of the food make it very much worth the money. With lovely staff and very fast service, Peck is the one chicken shop in Bury you absolutely HAVE to visit.

I've been visiting Peck since they started as a market stall in Colchester many years ago. It's ran by an awesome couple who have real passion for what they are doing. They use fresh rolls which makes a hell of a difference, the chicken is always moist and tasty whilst the coating is crunchy and packed full of flavour. Their version of buffalo sauce is outstanding, perfect balance of spice, creaminess and vinegar. More recently they started doing fries which are great too, crispy, well seasoned, just how I like them. If you like fried chicken then this place is a must, and you would be supporting a local independent firm that source their ingredients from local producers too. They also have a pop up van that visits Colchester food market most Fridays and the New Inn pub (Colchester) most Friday evenings. We are going tonight to get our fix!

We have just finished our 1st meal from Pecks & it was without question the best chicken we have EVER tasted & the cowgirl chips were a perfect accompaniment. Incredible taste and texture! You do not want to miss this. James
