Lovely tea rooms in this charming village, good coffee, excellent cakes and bakes, friendly service. Bowness isn't easy to park in but worth looking up if you're anywhere near.

Lovely afternoon tea with friends today. Good selection of sweet and savoury, we all brought a doggy bag home! Tea and coffee generously topped up, would definitely recommend.

Been here a few times. A quiet oasis in a relaxing private courtyard off the centre of the village. The friendly owner and helpers serve well priced delicious cakes, sandwiches, quiches and a selection of hot and cold drinks . A great little cafe in a great location.

So pleased we stopped off here for a beautiful homemade piece of cake and coffee made by the owner Morag. Lovely peaceful setting in a courtyard.

A lovely friendly little cafe tucked away in a courtyard in the middle of Bowness on Solway which when the Sun is shining is beautiful. The coffee tastes great & there is a nice selection of home baked scones and wonderful cakes. A hidden gem open Thurs to Sat. We enjoyed it and often visit when we can.

Quaint little cafe in cosy courtyard in lovely little village on Solway coast. Good menu with a selection of salads, sandwiches, cakes and pastries. We sat outside in the courtyard for our toastie and coconut macaroon and hot drinks just the thing midway in a ride out in the sunshine.

Called into pear tree tea rooms on traveling through Bowness on Solway and we thoroughly enjoyed our food, and was very pleased with the staff as my wife has dementia and we were given extra time deciding what we were going to have to eat as I have to go through the menu with my wife . Our food was excellent and we hope to call again as my wife felt comfortable.

What a delight - we happened upon the Peartree Tea Rooms by chance and sat in the courtyard in the sunshine to have coffee and cakes. Wow, proper cakes..no mass produced traybakes, Guinness cake, Victoria sandwich, Bakewell tart, carrot cake etc etc all home-baked. I had cheese scone and G had the bakewell tart, both delicious, everything good quality and served with a smile. An added bonus was the gift of three little easter eggs on the tea tray as it was Good Friday. I bought Guinness cake away to serve my friends over the weekend...and I'll own up...it came from the Peartree tea rooms.

Dropped in for a Saturday lunch with the family. The food was delicious, home made soup, wraps and paninis all round with delicious salads and coleslaw on the side. Even better was the home baking, we sampled the Guinness cake, chocolate courgette cake and the amazing Biscoff shortbread. There's a relaxed, friendly vibe and a lovely wee courtyard to sit out if the sun shines. Definitely worth a wee stop off if you're passing through.

We stopped here on the Hadrian's wall cycle route. I don't think this cafe could be any more perfect for cyclists. A place to rack your bike and keep an eye on it from a pretty courtyard. Friendly staff and a great menu. We had falafel wraps and good coffee, followed by good sized portions of delicious homemade cakes.

We stopped here for our first ever visit whilst we were enjoying a cycle ride from Abbeytown. The tables are situated in a sheltered courtyard, and the service was friendly and attentive. We opted for tea and scones, and were not disappointed. Home made and delicious at a very reasonable price. We will certainly be going back in the near future.

The cafe is only open Saturday and Sunday. The food on offer looks and tastes delicious. After a tiring bike ride the sunny courtyard tables were heaven sent. Many cake choices. We will be back as soon as we can.

We enjoyed a coffee and really good cake in this pretty courtyard cafe which is very popular with cyclists. Check the opening hours beforehand as this cafe may be open at weekends only. All the seating may be outside at the moment.

Our first visit to Rathlin Island and of course we availed of The Hungry Seal! The food was absolutely amazing, we were in chippy heaven. The chips are probably the best I've ever had and the battered sausages to die for! The other half had the haddock supper and claimed it was the best he's ever had. Decent portions, the price is up there but not much different than your average chippy to be fair. The girls were lovely and had the food ready in good time. We would take a trip back to the island just for another feed at the Hungry Seal lol 10/10 for us! (Not my picture, found in Google search)

We had intended to reserve a table but only times that didnt suit were available online so we decided to try our luck anyway. Thankfully the staff were accomodating and found us space. There was a festive deal on: 2 courses for £24 or 3 for £26. We both had 3 courses of different dishes and the food was beautiful! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, even with what seemed to be a full house. Thank you for a lovely last meal in Keswick.
