Husband had a mixed grill, liked it but they had forgot to put onion rings on, also thought the portion was not as substantial as what is shown on the menu. I had gluten free burger with bacon and cheese. Both meals enjoyed.

Brilliant service staff was very friendly gentleman who took plates away noticed hubby hadn't eaten his peas and said he could of beans instead in future.

Carvery was nice but wasn't overly hot, evening picky food was amazing, the chocolate eclair was to die for

Banging food, meat on the carvery is best i've ever had and there's a massive selection of desserts too🤤

Hours are wrong on website and app, they don’t open till 9am. Sat waiting to open for 30 mins. Next time won’t bother, sort your opening hours out

Called in for Lunch today. Food was lovely, freshly cooked & even tho it was busy arrived at the table with a short wait time. For 2 people with drinks & food it was £24 which was really good value in today's climate. We use this restaurant numerous times as service staff & quality are always excellent.....

Great service and reasonable prices for the food, drinks prices are typical for Greene King pubs. The carvery is particularly good value and the meats I chose (beef and gammon) were very good. Highly recommended.

A good selection of veg on the carvery. The roast potatoes were a little overdone, although shortly after I'd passed them by a fresh batch was on offer which looked perfect. All the other veg and the roasts were cooked to perfection. The cranberry and mint sauces were depleted. I could have asked for some but there was only one person serving and I couldn't be bothered to wait. The service was efficient and friendly and it is very good value for money. Much to recommend it

Both enjoyed our meal. Not very busy as a weekday evening. Just couples meal with a voucher off.

Good food, but my wifes food (a sweet) came out just before I had finished my meal. Even though I requested both at the same time.

Myself and my daughter went for lunch on Thursday 27 after doing some shopping. We both chose the small carvery (gammon) with additional pigs in blankets and a Yorkshire pudding and we both had a coke. Unfortunately later in the evening we were both sick which lasted all night, the carvery was the last thing we ate. I have dined here before and never had anything like this. Unfortunately I won't be returning.

Brilliant place, great food, excellent service, fantastic prices. Stayed at the travelodge across the road and this place was great for breakfast and evening meal,we went 4 times. Would definitely recommend and plan to go again

Both meals were luke warm at best and when staff returned with the food after we mentioned it, it had been reheated in a microwave with the salad and coleslaw so it had spoilt the food. Both drinks of Coke came very watery and half full. What an expensive disappointment all round.

Fair priced food, friendly staff, nice restaurant, free parking. I ordered the fish supper was basic and portion size was on the small side.

Ok as such. Staff friendly, same used frozen veg, good frozen veg but frozen all the same and bisto. Like a proper gravy.

Visiting my daughter & granddaughter, we came here 1st time & definitely be coming back we had a carvery & it was really nice, veg was perfect & my granddaughter loved playing in the play room, staff was really nice & helpful 😀

I’m really enjoy to lunch here, the food is good, there is a really great atmosphere.

This is where you wish you could give half stars, because this is a 3.5 star review really. Service was decent enough, we were shown to a table quickly and it was all clean before we sat down, so no one appearing and giving it a quick wipe after we'd sat down, which makes a change these days. You go to the bar to get served, which means you run the gauntlet of trying to get spotted as people have no manners these days and will push in if they get the chance. Table service would be a better idea in here. I ordered a lemonade, which was more water than lemonade (a common theme with pumps now I'm finding) and my food took a while to arrive. When it did, no sauces were offered (I don't use them, but the option would have been nice). The burger I had was really quite nice though, as were the fires. My friends had the carvery, which they had to go up for. One friend left most of hers as she found it either under cooked or over cooked. She was disappointed, but said it's usually very nice. Maybe we just caught it at a really busy time or an off moment, but I'd give it another try before writting it off.

Lovely venue, the food was delicious and plenty of it. Very reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Next time we're in York, definitely coming back here.

Superb food excellent service cakes to die for

It’s family pub grub. Never had a terrible meal here. Always found the service quick and the portions generous. The kids have always enjoyed the play area although looks a bit bare.

A great size plate of food with lovely service from a girl very attentive. She was always busy and found customers to serve and please. A great asset to the company.

Nice food, polite staff and had a great time! Would recommend if you want a tasty reasonably priced meal, plus ordering through the app saves you waiting at the bar!

Haven’t been to pear tree for a while and we visited today for the Sunday Carvary it’s was delicious great service from start to finish the young girls were very friendly and nothing was a problem for them .we had 2 deserts which were amazing we will be back for sure ,Thank you guys keep up the good work !!

We were on Monk's Cross earlier than expected and decided to call at pear tree farm.Car park was busy, and when we walked in it was busy as well.We managed to find a table.We ordered our food and got our drinks and sat back because it looked so busy.Howevet just over 10 minutes later our food arrived.Very impressive given how busy it was.Food very good , piping hot and very reasonable prices.will definitely call again.Recommend a visit.

Really nice place friendly staff I would highly recommend. There was 2 staff in paticularly that where really help ful one was called sully and the other I didn't get the name of but she was really helpful with brings stuff to the table as u had my 15month of with me

Had carvery late lunch today. Overall good . The manager was very pleasant and friendly. Food good although could have been a bit hotter. It was mid afternoon and no pork left and the beef was a little tough. But overall good

All members of staff are delightful, the food is great and you couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere to enjoy good food and drinks with friends and family, Pear Tree is one of my favourite places to go.

Arrived for lunch, there was a lot of things out of stock on the menu a few issues with drinks and we also found a drawing pin in the bottom of my lemonade, and we was told they’ve had builders in and gave us a coffee as a sorry, not very good really.

Excellent carvery. Lean meats. Delicious roast parsnips. Ice cream a bit “crystally” but nice choice of flavors.

I had not visited Peartree for a long while so it was time to give it a visit I had the carvery it was amazing I've not had one here before so I went back a few weeks after for carvery again it did not disappoint but on my third visit last week I went again for my mums special Birthday I and my sister had the farmhouse burger and my mum opted for the chicken pic and mix but unfortunately we did not enjoy it, the burger may i say was lovely but the chips was only luke warm dried up not fresh, and the plates were cold so the food all in all was not hot nobody came to ask us if everything was ok I wanted to say something on the night but I did not want to upset my mums special day. I really did not want to complain but feedback is good to address the issues.

This is a lovely clean pub and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately tonight the food wasn't very hot and this made our meal less enjoyable.

Arrived at quater past 8 and ordered at halfpast ordered a carvery, the girl took my order then was told by the chef that its close and wasn't serving it, the lass then told him it was half past"" tell then its closed yeah" she was a tad embarrassed, so righto then order the stake mid rare , you could knock in nails with it!! .. other half got the colilflower salad , half the salad leaves where rotten hmmm so yeah not the best experience. Don't get me wrong the bar staff where lovely but that was all. Never again.

Unreal food and friendly staff..100% recommended also very handy as right near the Travelodge.

Food wasn't great we went for a Sunday carvery and the meat was flavourless and the veggies were hard and the roast potatoes weren't fluffy as advertised they were black and tasted like they had been sta there for a few days. So the experience was a little disappointing

Wonderful place the food was delicious. We had the carvery which was fabulous. We can highly recommend this restaurant. We are travelling from Australia and it was very economical.

The carvery was reasonably stocked for the time of year . Nice & hot ,The only criticism I can give is that the cake away portions varied quite a lot 3 pieces of carrot cake that were so different in size I would question ❓ if they really have any idea of portions size 1 piece was quite small the 2nd was round about the normal size the 3 rd piece was probably bigger than the 2st two put together. Enjoy the visit other than the cake size this is our go to carvery

We had a great meal and good value too but the thing that spoiled it was the gang of kids screaming, shouting and running around the restaurant. Please please put a wall up between the kids area and adults area to give us all a break from the ear splitting din, thank you.

I come to the location in monk cross for the nice people that Wellcome you here. Nice to notice that they remember you come here often and kind of remember your preferences. Food is good. Prices are fair.

My favourite place for a good meal with frends. Staff always lovely. Food always on point. Location is amazing. Farmhouse Inn's by Green King are the best place to go for amy occasion or meal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ps. Also get blue light discount for KEY WORKERS. (look on the app)

Visited today, loved the concept of the new toaster to toast bread fresh and warm. Black pudding was very hard/over cooked, bacon extremely salty and coffee wasn’t good. No hot chocolate or mocha available either but everything else was fine.

Nice drinks and amazing food in a lovely relaxed setting.

Early tea at 5pm week day and everything was wonderful. Thanks!
