A great size plate of food with lovely service from a girl very attentive. She was always busy and found customers to serve and please. A great asset to the company.

Nice food, polite staff and had a great time! Would recommend if you want a tasty reasonably priced meal, plus ordering through the app saves you waiting at the bar!

We were on Monk's Cross earlier than expected and decided to call at pear tree farm.Car park was busy, and when we walked in it was busy as well.We managed to find a table.We ordered our food and got our drinks and sat back because it looked so busy.Howevet just over 10 minutes later our food arrived.Very impressive given how busy it was.Food very good , piping hot and very reasonable prices.will definitely call again.Recommend a visit.

Haven’t been to pear tree for a while and we visited today for the Sunday Carvary it’s was delicious great service from start to finish the young girls were very friendly and nothing was a problem for them .we had 2 deserts which were amazing we will be back for sure ,Thank you guys keep up the good work !!

Had carvery late lunch today. Overall good . The manager was very pleasant and friendly. Food good although could have been a bit hotter. It was mid afternoon and no pork left and the beef was a little tough. But overall good

Called in at about 3.45 for a late lunch/ early evening meal and was not disappointed. Good arrived very promptly and piping hot. There was plenty of it too

All members of staff are delightful, the food is great and you couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere to enjoy good food and drinks with friends and family, Pear Tree is one of my favourite places to go.

Really nice place friendly staff I would highly recommend. There was 2 staff in paticularly that where really help ful one was called sully and the other I didn't get the name of but she was really helpful with brings stuff to the table as u had my 15month of with me

Arrived for lunch, there was a lot of things out of stock on the menu a few issues with drinks and we also found a drawing pin in the bottom of my lemonade, and we was told they’ve had builders in and gave us a coffee as a sorry, not very good really.

Excellent carvery. Lean meats. Delicious roast parsnips. Ice cream a bit “crystally” but nice choice of flavors.

I had not visited Peartree for a long while so it was time to give it a visit I had the carvery it was amazing I've not had one here before so I went back a few weeks after for carvery again it did not disappoint but on my third visit last week I went again for my mums special Birthday I and my sister had the farmhouse burger and my mum opted for the chicken pic and mix but unfortunately we did not enjoy it, the burger may i say was lovely but the chips was only luke warm dried up not fresh, and the plates were cold so the food all in all was not hot nobody came to ask us if everything was ok I wanted to say something on the night but I did not want to upset my mums special day. I really did not want to complain but feedback is good to address the issues.

Excellent food, excellent service, staff very polite and helpful especially Eli, only very slight point that food could do to be a little hotter. Overall good and will recommend.

Arrived at quater past 8 and ordered at halfpast ordered a carvery, the girl took my order then was told by the chef that its close and wasn't serving it, the lass then told him it was half past"" tell then its closed yeah" she was a tad embarrassed, so righto then order the stake mid rare , you could knock in nails with it!! .. other half got the colilflower salad , half the salad leaves where rotten hmmm so yeah not the best experience. Don't get me wrong the bar staff where lovely but that was all. Never again.

This is a lovely clean pub and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately tonight the food wasn't very hot and this made our meal less enjoyable.

Wonderful place the food was delicious. We had the carvery which was fabulous. We can highly recommend this restaurant. We are travelling from Australia and it was very economical.

The carvery was reasonably stocked for the time of year . Nice & hot ,The only criticism I can give is that the cake away portions varied quite a lot 3 pieces of carrot cake that were so different in size I would question ❓ if they really have any idea of portions size 1 piece was quite small the 2nd was round about the normal size the 3 rd piece was probably bigger than the 2st two put together. Enjoy the visit other than the cake size this is our go to carvery

Food wasn't great we went for a Sunday carvery and the meat was flavourless and the veggies were hard and the roast potatoes weren't fluffy as advertised they were black and tasted like they had been sta there for a few days. So the experience was a little disappointing

We had a great meal and good value too but the thing that spoiled it was the gang of kids screaming, shouting and running around the restaurant. Please please put a wall up between the kids area and adults area to give us all a break from the ear splitting din, thank you.

I come to the location in monk cross for the nice people that Wellcome you here. Nice to notice that they remember you come here often and kind of remember your preferences. Food is good. Prices are fair.

My favourite place for a good meal with frends. Staff always lovely. Food always on point. Location is amazing. Farmhouse Inn's by Green King are the best place to go for amy occasion or meal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ps. Also get blue light discount for KEY WORKERS. (look on the app)

Visited today, loved the concept of the new toaster to toast bread fresh and warm. Black pudding was very hard/over cooked, bacon extremely salty and coffee wasn’t good. No hot chocolate or mocha available either but everything else was fine.

Nice drinks and amazing food in a lovely relaxed setting.

Partner had a carvery i had a cheese burger, chips and colsaw. Both were absolutely delicious we have never had a bad meal yet it's our go to for eating out.

Lovely visit to Pear Tree Farm. Service was very fast and Louise, our server was extremely helpful and obliging! Food was good except for the roast potatoes which were dry and disappointing. Nice atmosphere and reasonably priced

I went in Thursday night with my family, got seated down and ordered my food, it came out rather quickly and The service was amazing I was serviced by a wonderful waiter named dan who was very friendly to me and my family.

very busy on Sunday afternoon,carvery quite good,only downside is the sauces are never full,ok they get them when asked,but the wait time is too long,your meal is cold by the time it’s filled and brought from the kitchen. So I will knock one star off for that.

Myself and my other half particularly enjoy coming here for a Carvery. Good choice of meats and accompaniments that you’d expect with a Carvery and that ensure you come away feeling satiated.

Very rude staff.. Young guy behind the bar was smerking because my friend and I ordered the same food.. So rude. Manager was stood at the side of him and didn't say anything. Food was ok but nothing special. Will not be returning.

A lovely restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere throughout. The food is equally good as is the price.

Firstly staff were lovely, helpful and friendly but menu choices for vegan and gluten/dairy intolerant very limited. The bean burger was dry & hard to swallow. I wasn't aware of this until afterwards as our party member was too polite to complain - but it was awful. The carvery was great quality but had several items not suitable for gluten/dairy intolerant. We live in Wales where our local carvery uses dairy free butter as standard so everyone can have mash potato and they also offer dairy free Yorkshire pudding on request. Other members of our party enjoyed their meals but wouldn't return when visiting York again due to lack of choice.

Went for Sunday lunch with the wife and mum. The food was great once again. We was looked after by Louise. This lady is an asset to the company. Thank you.

We were warmly greeted at the door, shown to our table and asked if we were happy with it Room was warm, clean and nicely decorated for Christmas, good choice of drinks at the bar and the carvery food was hot and fresh. The in-house cakes for dessert were superb. All the staff were smiling, friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Had dinner here whilst staying at the Travelodge opposite. The waitresses were friendly and welcoming. We both had the standard carvery at £8.99 each (weekday price) which was amazing value considering how much you get. The place was clean and tidy with a nice atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more. ☺️

Breakfast buffet all you can eat , cracking offer . Good price and food quality good . Nice and quiet too so you can sit have a cuppa , a breakfast ( with seconds ) and get some work done too

Me and my family come here often and every time we are greeted with welcoming smiles amazing food, without fail the carvery is outstanding every time and a great service, not to mention the cakes are out of this world.

The staff did not take feeling of customer in to mind kept opening fire doors and letting cold air in Lack of stock on drinks and desserts I know it was just after xmas but this was not acceptable Bar staff very slow even a very quiet times and wandering around in there own little world while customers stood waiting Cutlery was dirty fork was all bent and twisted Cutlery pot was all rusty in the bottom When meals arrived nobody was asked if they wanted and condiments or if anything else was required

Food was great and service very friendly. The only thing I would say is please don't assume that just because we came in with a small child (4years) that we want to be seated near the play area - just ask. As it were, we were taken straight through to the table closest to the play area, which was incredibly loud, naturally. However, our child is calm and would have been absolutely fine in the rest of the pub not disturbing any of the other guests. For us the noise level really was very unpleasant and we would have never chosen that spot given half the chance. We will learn from it though should we come again we will specifically ask for a table in another area. Food was super tasty though 😊

as usual only 2 choices of meat....the waiter was rude and didn't give us our sausages we paid for....he had dropped the ticket on the floor and argued that we hadn't paid ....then found it, didn't apologise ! We sat near play area as we had a 21 month old. 9/10 year old kids running rampage around the under 5 play area, throwing large plastic toys with force both inside and outside area amongst tables. No staff intervention. Table staff snatched up two drinks off table and had to be called back as our friends had gone to loo. Kept attempting to take plates aswell when some of our party were still eating....we won't be back....

Don't go here if you want a good vegan meal.

We book for boxing day meal at pear tree farm monks cross york, for 5 adults and 3 children weeks ago. We arrived today we were taken to our table from then downhill from then. We wait for half-hour for 1 starter then we could all get our carvery dinner it was disgusting we left most of it on the plate we waited for then to clear the table after nearly an hour after tell the waiters 3 time to clear them in the end we had to clear them. Then got the deserts after waiting another 40 mins to be disappointed again all of them disgusting none of us ate them. We were VERY disappointed 😞 we won't be coming back again!!!

Very good Xmas eve meal for 14... Staff were very busy but kept things going.. service was good as again they were extremely busy.. the atmosphere was good but lots of kids about but it was a day for families.. I would definitely go back..

Christmas carvery for 4 on Christmas day. A change for us to go out Christmas day, and wow was it worth it. Very friendly and efficient, food was superb and the portions were huge. The carvery choice was amazing. At the time of writing, the desert had to be packed up to take away, again service was amazing. We had an amazing meal. We will definitely be back. Thank you to Sully for the drinks and to Aaron for a perfect service.

We went to the breakfast with Santa this morning. All the staff that are running the event are incredible, but 5 stars to the man with blonde hair (didn’t catch his name but he was doing the tickets and other things). He made my son’s morning extra special despite how busy he was! Santa was amazing, one of the best we have seen. Looks the part and very chatty, we didn’t feel rushed at all and my son enjoyed his conversation with him. Will be returning for another breakfast with Santa next year!

Yorkshire pudding, on the small side and cold, veg chewy and uninspiring, Turkey and carrots was nice but the roast potatoes (I love the most) were inedible, the worst roast potatoes I have ever experienced, shockingly poor, very dry, rubbery, and really let down my meal. Been quite a few times and never had such a poor meal and never had chance to say anything negative until this evening

Excellent! all round visit.This was our second visit in two days.This visit was for our son's birthday. Friendly welcome by the manager Sam, who joined two tables for our family of six to sit in comfort & provided us with the required menus. I also placed our orders @ the bar for all required foods & first drinks, again with Sam who was most prompt & efficient throughout. The variety of all the food was also excellent throughout, very tasty & well presented, again with friendly efficient service.Equally, all the variety of drinks were enjoyable, as always. Altogether, a very enjoyable experience throughout.

Cole and Vicky ( Coles mum) made our night. They went above and beyond to make us smile, their a credit to the team, super star service.

Service was slow, staff at the bar talking while looking at us waiting, an Carrid on there conversation. Food came, chips were over cooked and rock solid all potato was non existent in my fries, the flavour of the burger was great however probably the only thing that was any good, the coleslaw had a wierd taste and is bubbling on the plate after 5 minutes almost like it's past it's date or very borderline. Garlic mushrooms... what garlic?? Barley taste any garlic what so ever however the batter was cooked pretty damn well. All in all I give this a solid 1 out of 10 an will not be returning, will also be telling family and friends not to waste there money.. be better of going to maccys, and I don't like blood maccys...

Best place in York all round if you have young kids (4 and below), the staff are very attentive. The Christmas grotto and Santa were great. Great value
