We booked the Travelodge at Monks Cross specifically because the Pear Tree Farm, according to your website, opens at 8am. Only to discover this is incorrect, it wasn't and a sign board in the foyer gives the opening time of 9am. Was not impressed and had to miss breakfast due to a hospital appointment at 9.20am. I suggest you change the times on your website.

We had a lovely meal this evening, the service was quick and the food was nice. Leanne and Billy were particularly helpful and friendly :)

Had another great experience and carvery yesterday. I want to say a special thank you to the lady on the carvery who showed great empathy and world class customer service. It was my 1st time out after sustaining a shoulder injury 2 weeks ago. She went above and beyond to ensure my experience was as stress free as possible. Thank you to her and the team

Spot one, visited here for my partners birthday during the week and it was lovely and quiet. Food was lovely, will be back again.

I came here with my mum and had a brilliant time. I’d been looking forward to this all week and have not been disappointed, the roast was lovely and my personal highlight was the gravy and pigs and blankets. The atmosphere was also perfect because it wasn’t too busy but it felt like there was enough people there so that it felt homely. Finally, the service was tremendous, as our waiter, Eli, kept checking in on us seeing if we needed anything and how food was. Cannot wait to come back. Definitely recommend! 5 stars!

I can’t thank Vicky enough for her help on 20/4/25 I came in for a late breakfast with my disabled brother who is quite autistic and will only eat the same things, as there wasn’t a chicken wrap on the menu I asked at the bar when ordering, Vicky came to our table and help assist me in ordering the chicken Goujons and sweet chilli dip and said she would bring me over a tortilla wrap so that I could wrap it for him, he was so happy and you made our visit a great experience, this women is the face of your business and this is the bar that she has set. I hope she is either promoted or given gratitude for her natural customer service skills, a very lovely person indeed and a great asset.

Beautifully cooked roast meats and a huge choice of well prepared vegetables. Great value for money.

Staff were friendly and efficient, food was good value for money. You can order via a barcode on the table which means no queuing at the bar and the service was fast. Good selection of food for both adults and kids.

We throughly enjoyed the fish and chips here it was lovely . We would highly recommend it.

Dropped in on the spur of the moment for some lunch , never been here before . I was fancying a burger but upon entering we could smell the carvery, so the Mrs and I went for that . Well the carvery , 4 meat choices and a large choice of veg was so good , it has to have been one of the best carveries I've ever had , and I've had a few in numerous establishments over the years . I must have scooped a full onion out from the onion gravy . The only very minor moan I could have had was how thin the meat had been carved , but it was quite a large slice of turkey and beef and was actually enough ,so overall an excellent meal.

Initially had an issue with the voucher code not coming through after registering with the app but the this was sorted by a member of floor staff immediately so we didn't have to wait. Quick service, good food and well priced.

Decent enough grub at reasonable prices. Friendly service, must mention Eli! :)

Fabulous friendly greeting on entering Smiling staff serving, taking orders , getting our drinks. We had the gammon, egg, chips, peas..was fab. Succulent gamon, Friendly waiters, Apple Crumble was devine. highly recomended... return visitor..Beef n Turkey, amazing

It's quicker to go to the bar and order a drink than ordering it using the app.

Visited on a Saturday lunch time. Was served by Vicky and Millie, best customer service ever. These deserve a mention just because they were so normal, polite and had time to chat to us even though the place was getting busy. Never had a bad experience at the place.

First visit today was amazing food 3 of us had the carvery and the deserts well what can I say we had to bring home in boxes for later but the value and staff and cleanliness was 10 out of 10 we be back soon thanks was lovely

We have fish and chips. The taste and size are ok. The 'ultimate' size of coca cola can be shared by 2 to 3 people, thus it is cheaper than ordering individually. The waitress are sweet.

Milly is a lovely girl and the food was delicious. Although stated in another review this is not parking for the stadium as it’s not permitted for you to do so

Seems to have improved. Stopped coming as the food went down hill, but when I visited yesterday everything was piping hot, ordered off the menu, didn't have a carvery, was presented nicely and tasted good, so I'll definitely come back at some point. Think they could probably invest in a proper tea/coffee machine , the flasks are very outdated

Three of us went for a meal, two of the meals were just luke warm and the third was cold and was dent back. Staff were polite.

Monday morning breakfast food was piping hot and plenty to choose from. Staff were excellent

Well cooked carvery with additional items on the menu. A small carvery is a single slice of meat, though this is still quite large. Plenty of seating and parking. Took the option for a cake-away, very large slices of cake, big enough to share. Today (24/03/2025) had a fasting blood test at the stadium and felt like a cooked breakfast. Disappointed as got to the Pear Tree just after 8.00am expecting them to be open as both Google and their breakfast menu website say open at 8.00 only to find they did not open until 9.00.

Excellent food and service. Ella in particular was very helpful serving us.

Brilliant service staff was very friendly gentleman who took plates away noticed hubby hadn't eaten his peas and said he could of beans instead in future.

Husband had a mixed grill, liked it but they had forgot to put onion rings on, also thought the portion was not as substantial as what is shown on the menu. I had gluten free burger with bacon and cheese. Both meals enjoyed.

Hours are wrong on website and app, they don’t open till 9am. Sat waiting to open for 30 mins. Next time won’t bother, sort your opening hours out

Called in for Lunch today. Food was lovely, freshly cooked & even tho it was busy arrived at the table with a short wait time. For 2 people with drinks & food it was £24 which was really good value in today's climate. We use this restaurant numerous times as service staff & quality are always excellent.....
