Nice setting but awful food. Burgers were crap. Small frozen kind, so cooked very dry and tasteless. Chips were okay. Beer expensive.

If o could give 0 stars, I would. This is not the place for food, drinks maybe.. we visited with family for a Sunday roast and the food and service was horrendous. The potatoes were dry and hard, my mothers steak was chewy and tasteless. They served me a beef roast dinner with chicken gravy. Pigs in blankets burnt. Missing starter. Just awful. Stress from start to finish. First and last time!!

We had our wedding reception at Peacock Farm in Bracknell and it was an absolute joy. From the moment we first visited to the very last min of the party, the staff were professional and friendly. We were so impressed with everyone. We had minimal decorations, as the venue has beautiful string lights everywhere. They setup the tables and we were able to have a DJ, until their live music came on. We felt supported and calm about everything, and they thought of little details, like a drinks station and table for the cake. The food (which we over ordered) was fantastic and freshly made. We will definitely be back as it is now such a special place for us. If you are wanting a venue for a special lunch, Birthday or Anniversary, I highly recommend Peacock Farm.

Good looking building, but no idea how to run a pub. Most draught beers were off. So they point you to the cans, charge you £6 and then ask if you want a glass! “Yes please” they bring one (for 2 beers) and then expect you to pour it yourself… Sold an IPA it was actually an odd Indian Pale Lager(?!) that looked more like a sample for the doctor, and I can imagine only tasted marginally better. Gin was poured into an empty glass then ice added, then handed the tonic, lemon then added full of pips. Food was average.

Had a fantastic Family Reunion at Peacock Farm Restaurant yesterday, 7th September 2024. There were 12 in our party and I have to say from the moment we sat down to leaving we had nothing but the best service from all the staff. Bottles of water and glasses were already on the table when we arrived. The staff were extremely patient with us as we were meeting family from Australia that some of us had never met so we had a lot to talk about and it took us ages to look at our menus to make our order1 In our party we had vegans, vegetarians and children, all were catered for and when the food arrived it was absolutely lovely. I myself had the Halloumi potato salad, which was delicious and there were definitely no complaints from anybody else. Thank you so much Peacock Farm for accommodating us and making our reunion extremely memorable.

Service was really very good and very friendly, the waitress did everything she could to accommodate us. She was excellent. Unfortunately the food wasn’t very much a mixed bag and some of our meals were ok others weren’t great. However we were there for the atmosphere and company so we could live with the food being sub standard for some of the dishes we ordered. Lovely surroundings and great parking . The water glasses could have also done with a clean though!

We've just visited. It was awful. It was poor service. One of the customers threw something at me when I walked in, thankfully missing me. We asked the server to wipe our table as it hadn't been cleaned since last people. We ordered food on their app. When the food came less than 10 mins and felt like it had been warmed up. The server said 'I didn't know you could order on the app'. We had to get our own cutlery. My pasta was terrible and my husband says his food had been warmed up too. We were approached by a young boy who was so quiet we couldn't hear him but we assumed he was looking for people to sponsor him in a boxing match (if it actually was true) the server said 'I've told you, you can't do that here' Although it looks like a nice place from the outside, we won't be coming

The service was poor. The woman at the bar looked like she didn’t wanna be there and was very sarcastic . The waitor who brought the food out including all the starters and mains at the same time didn’t bring any cutlery or sauces so we had to get it. Also when we asked for the dessert the waitor had no idea what the ice cream flavours were so had to go back twice to find out and then he also forgot to bring out my daughters one so had to go back again. This is just simple stuff that the staff should be briefed on and know. He looked very lost and just had no rapport or engagement. When we went to get the cutlery by the bar the staff were on their phones so clearly they weren’t rushed off their feet and the didn’t ask if we needed anything!

12 of us went for a family lunch. Roast beef was inedible and Yorkshire puddings were very dry. Worst of all, they gave misinformation about nut content on the food my granddaughter had - luckily she did not have a reaction although she has a severe nut allergy (which they knew). We only chose the place because we thought they had a good allergy policy. Also service was incredibly slow so we had to leave without dessert or coffee

Very disappointed, been a few times and it has been good , unfortunately not on mother's day. All four of us had roasts , the beef was very tough and difficult to cut , the pork was worse very dry and overcooked, Not once during the meal did anyone ask if everything was OK. Had to ask for vegetables as there wasn't any on my plate and barely on the other 3. Plates were luke warm , food not very hot . Also no cash taken in the pub , yet paid cash for deposit and paid cash on last visit.

Have eaten here a couple of times in recent weeks and have found the food to be great. The menu isn’t vast, but you’d be hard pushed not to find something you fancy. It is, however a little overpriced. What let’s this place down is the service - it feels understaffed and servers appear under trained. We waited a long time between starters and main course - and when our mains arrived, our starter plates were still waiting to be cleared. We asked for a coffee at the end of the meal and were told the machine had been switched off. We had to chase to request further drinks, the bill, to pay the bill.

Still got excellent 'fat' chips. The menu was smaller than I would like to see and I was especially disappointed about the gluten free options displayed on the app. There were only a couple of options showing even though in reality I had a lot more choice than that. E.g - you go to rhe effort to have a separate fryer for gluten free chips, so why not label the chips as gluten free on the menu? Only the 'loaded fries' were labelled as gluten free which is very confusing. Similarly, aftee talking to the waiter, the steak and chips were suitable for a gluten free ammendment, but this wasn't clear anywhere on the app or the menu - why not? It is so depressing being coeliac and wastes everyone's time with me asking a million questions that could be resolved so easily by labelling the menu more clearly. Having said all that - you do actually have good gluten free options! Hence the 4 stars

Be aware that if you pick a late table a lot of the menu will be unavailable. We had booked in advance. I had to re-pick my order 4 times which kind of put a dampener on an evening that was supposed to be celebratory. The main I ended up with was butternut ravioli that had no sauce to it, and was the driest pasta I'd ever eaten. I didn't eat much of it. Inside the restaurant is very pleasant, I just feel they need to do better with the food.

The Peacock Farm has a gorgeously cosy and rustic interior transports you the second you walk in. We learnt a lot about the pub from Lewis who was ever so welcoming, and the team working were all very attentive and great at the what they do. Special thanks to Cess who expertly guided us through the extensive range of ales and lagers, some of which seemed to be unique just to this pub. Well worth a popping in for a drink or a bite to eat - we will certainly be back! :)

This place will get lots of 4-5* reviews because it's got a very lovely cute yet fancy interior which has a really warm atmosphere. We've only been for drinks in the past but we returned yesterday for a Sunday roast, and we were all gravely disappointed. Meat was flavourless. Roast potatoes were soft and cold. Gravy was watery and weak. Unlimited Yorkshire puddings were indeed unlimited, but they were not Yorkshire puds. You picked it up and it would crumble into sawdust. They tasted and felt like Styrofoam. None of us came close to finishing our meals, despite paying £17 for our dinners. Will not be returning for food ever again. P.S. don't get their Peacock Farm lager, it tastes like Coors light. They have much better real beers and ales on tap.

So four of us visited the Peacock Farm in Bracknell tonight. Ordered four meals from the menu, fish and three double cheeseburgers. We asked for two of the cheeseburgers to have no bun and no chips but wanted to swap our chips for a side salad. The food was lovely and I can’t fault it. The salad however consisted of a small bowl of rocket with two quarters of tomato and three pieces of celery. Thought it was a bit mean but okay it was in place of my chips. Imagine my surprise when the Bill came and we were charged in full for the double cheeseburgers and in addition another £3.75 each for the side salad. Given that chips are £3.75 and salad was £3.75 then I am unsure why this was not a direct swap. Anyway I would not have paid £3.75 for the ‘salad’ which was no more than a few leavesWe then asked if the kitchen had single or double cream. Apparently only a small amount. So we asked if we could have berries with cream. Oh no, although berries are on the menu the chef didn’t have any and was serving a coulis. So we decided no pudding and we would have full fat milk coffee. Apparently only semi skimmed in the kitchen. So we obviously got the server confused by our multiple requests and ended you with three small bottles of milk. To be fair the coffee was lovelySo the moral of the story is only order from the menu. No deviations and you will be fine. Any special dietary requests won’t be tolerated and it’s just a Mickey Mouse kitchen. Clearly nothing is made from scratch. I mean I am not looking for gourmet cooking but what kitchen doesn’t have cream or fruit and not everyone wants semi skimmed milk Won’t be back in a hurry and I always face about this place but but no more

Beautiful barn conversion situated in the middle of a housing estate, which is very odd!!! But once you get inside the place is beautiful! Firstly I was really surprised that we could get a table on a Saturday night so soon after reopening.....we’re from Leeds and if this place was in any major city it would be packed! The service was excellent- I was making up my own cocktails and the bartender even came round to make sure it was right.... the cocktails were lovely. Our starters: I had probably the best scotch egg I’ve ever tasted!!! Big talk - but true. My partner had a good old prawn cocktail which he enjoyed. For the main event I had the pie, mash and cabbage- it was crammed full of meat with a crispy pastry ( obviously ,being northern, I had to ask for more gravy) . I have to say I can eat - a lot! Even I was over faced with the food on the plate, there was plenty!Other half had steak and triple cooked chips, which he enjoyed. The steak was slightly overdone- but he ordered med to well and it’s a fine line! Chips were gorgeous! The food came to £45 for 2 starters and 2 mains and it was really lovely! With beautiful surroundings and excellent service- what’s not to like?!This would be a regular restaurant of mine if it was in my hometown. I cannot rate this place enough! I’m not sure that people spend money in Bracknell - I think potentially they go to other places outside the town.... but I think this place is unique and deserves support from the locals.

The reason for 3 stars though would be the staff, we came when it first opened and it wasn’t too busy. We were left waiting to order our food for a while after ordering our drinks. We ordered our food and it all came out at different times. And when I asked for a white hot chocolate with soya milk, (baring in mind my partner had just asked for a latte with soya and he put it through) I was told “no” in a stern and blunt voice to the point the rest of the table thought the man was joking. It was very awkward when we realised he wasn’t.

Came here for dinner, and was really impressed with all the effort they have gone to in making it look as festive as possible. It is basically a marquee with heaters and Christmas decorations. I brought a blanket along with me but I don't think I really needed it. The mulled cider and goats cheese flat bread was very nice. The staff were super friendly however not very attentive, food came quickly although we sat there for ages trying to get their attention to order some other drinks or dessert afterwards. Unfortunately by the time they got to us it was to inform us our 90 minute slot had finished. If you are going to enforce a time slot with table service only please ensure your staff visit the table often enough. It was quite busy so I'm sure that affected it.

Myself and a couple of others were there today and did not have a good experience. The food is very sub standard, cold and we actually were refunded our whole meal. The waiting staff were very good and attentive/polite. Such a shame as the idea of the outside space is good with the current situation but could have been much better. The food totally let it down and won't be going back.

We were excited to meet some family in the Alpine Bar. Upon arrival we were greater warmly and quickly seated. It was very cold and the heaters totally inadequate for the job. We ordered food and drink, the food arrived and was like warm. It was okay but you wouldn't go for the food. The beer was good, warm G+T was good, the deserts were fine for a child...We were promptly told we had over stayed our 90 minute time slot and asked to leave, we hadn't been served our deserts and still had plenty of drink left. The guy asking us to leave then went and got our desert, we ate it and was then asked to pay and leave. There were at least 4 empty tables around us, I noticed when we arrived there were also empty tables so strange to be pushing people out.I took my drink to the side of the 'tent' to finish it in order to free up the table, which was still empty along with others as we walked past 15 minutes later. Its a strange world at the moment but, I simply couldn't reason this away. Very dissapointed and we won't be returning. On the plus side our waiter was very good, friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed our trip to the Alpine Bar last night! Peacock Farm have done a great job at making an outdoor space look nice with fairy lights and Christmas trees, not too cold with the patio heaters and friendly staff serving at the tables. Well done on adapting to the rules.

Every staff member we encountered didn’t seem actually interested in helping us. Everything seemed too much of an issue. Even something simple like getting another menu was given with a huff and puff and chucked on the table. 3 of the dishes we wanted had ran out - would have been good to tell us this before! Our drinks order came out incorrectly too, but this was fixed quickly so not a huge issue. The setting is lovely though, and the food was good.

We went for a bite to eat after lockdown. We will not be going back. InteriorInside the pub the decor is looking very tired it is clearly in desperate need of a refurb. Toilets were okay but could have been cleaner.Exterior The Alpine bar looks really nice but the pub saying that it is "outside space" thus allowing people to mix from different households is bending the Tier 2 rules to breaking point.FoodThe menu was very limited to start with. Nice to see a couple of vegan options though. Now we are not ones to shy away from a pricey meal BUT we do expect food to be excellent quality. The Peacock Farm does not deliver on this. The food is overpriced beyond belief and is of very poor quality, think working man's clubs when they became "posh" and stared serving up grub in the 90s.It is hard to come up with the right words to describe my meal....."absolutely vile" comes to mind. So let's start with the basics of chips. They are sold as triple cooked chips. They are also sold in the freezer section of most leading supermarkets. Do not be fooled into thinking they are nice....they are not!The burger-wow I was thrilled to have paid nigh on £14 for a frozen burger. Again avaliable in the freezer section of a supermarket. The same applied to the pie. Nothing in the pub, (maybe the soup) is homemade. For the prices charged i would expect a homemade pie, homemade mash, homemade burgers, homemade chips.....you get the picture!ServiceStaff did not seem overly happy, I suspect it must be due to the embarrassment of having to serve up such terrible food to unhappy customer after unhappy customer.Overall experience If I could give 0 I would. Such a disappointing visit.this pub really needs to sort its act out. I would suggest either halving the food prices or actually getting a chef in to make real quality food that is worth the money.

There's that moment when you have to meet your boy/girlfriend's parents for the firs time & worry about how it's going to go! Well fast forward a few years and you are meeting your daughters "other half' for the first time. My advice is book dinner at the Peacock Farm. A new(ish) pub/restaurant on a still being built housing estate on the fringe of Bracknell. Now Bracknell is not known as a gastro hot-spot but as far as this sort of establishment goes, particularly during a covid crisis it's pretty good. I went for the for the Steak and Tangle Foot pie, Tangle Foot being one of the beers produced by Badger brewers. It was a proper pie i.e.not just a small amount of meat with a pastry top, cooked separately & plonked on it at the last minute. There was a full case & top & plenty of filling. Mrs P'sC went for the Spiced Indian Bhaji Burger. An 'unusual' idea but pronounced 'really good.' Peacock Farm, is a genuine old farm & the pub is a converted barn. Oh, & the boyfriend, quiet.

Anna served us.Very professional.Covid friendly. It was my husband's birthday and got a free dessert! Food was yummy and well presented. We had rustic bread to share as a starter. I had the pie and mash, very filling and full of flavour. My husband had ham,egg and triple cooked chips, followed by Devonshire ice cream for me and Apple and blackberry crumple, custard and ice cream. We didn't feel rushed as it was a table booked for 90 minutes. You get 25% off on Monday through to Wednesday as well,so very very good value.

First visit to this venue following Covid 19 lockdown. Very warm welcome on arrival, no wait time as we had pre booked. Food service was prompt and of a very high standard.

Sad to say this place has gone downhill. The menu is very limited where a lot of other local restaurants have increased variety. Food quality also poorer than previously and the atmosphere of the place has been lost (although this could be COVID related of course).

My wife & I both ordered the fish and chips. They arrived very quickly...actually suspiciously quickly, which suggests they'd just been reheated and not freshly cooked. The chips were ok but the fish definitely tasted like it was stale. Also would have liked some ketchup instead of the tartare sauce provided but none was offered and no staff came back to our table to check if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. Glad we didn't pay full price as they are still doing the Eat Out offer on Mondays-Wednesdays.On the good side all safety precautions seemed to be in place with tables well spaced and the doors were open for extra ventilation. It's been several years since we've been here and unfortunately, based on the food this time we won't be rushing back.

The Peacock consists of converted farm buildings, and is vast! The decor is fantastic - and so is the food. You need to take your appetite along - my starter would have made a decent main course. The staff were polite, efficient and hard-working, and they had clearly worked out a very efficient routine for distancing. We would love to go back.

We had lunch underneath the canopy in the garden. The staff were excellent, it felt totally safe. (Re covid) It rained (of course) mid way through but we didn’t get wet and were offered to move inside. Lunch was great. Massive portions. Not greasy. Will definitely go back again.

We were a group of 6 dining in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We ate outside under their new canopy which protected us from the changing weather. The staff were all really friendly and the service was great. The food was all nice and fresh, very tasty. The pub is operating a one way system to enable social distancing and everything is well spaced out. Table service, as has become standard. We will not think twice about visiting here again.

Myself, my boyfriend and mum went for lunch at 5pm today. Although a shaky welcome by the lady who was struggling to work the laptop and we were allocated a table inside rather than outside, as requested upon booking, we were asked which we preferred so sat outside. Our waitress, Lauren (I think) was spot on. She was quizzed about the beers and handled it so well- she was astute, attentive and professional whilst remaining friendly and approachable. She said she works for the Basingstoke pub within the group but was helping out in Bracknell for August along with a colleague. Two of us ordered fish and chips and one camembert. All the meals were delicious and hot - we have visited this pub for years and this was the best meal we've ever eaten.Social distancing and safety was great too.I have worked in hospitality most of my life and always like to praise my teams if they've done a great job so I hope Lauren (I hope that's her name - she's got brown hair if that helps) gets to see this review. She provided fantastic service and it's such a shame she has to go back to Basingstoke! Thank you for a great experience.

I love coming to this café, the staff are always amazing and smiley and their memory is on point! The food is always fresh and tastes amazing! The coffee is always refreshing and the cakes are to die for! I always without a doubt have a very pleasant experience whenever I visit! Which is why I return! I recommend the Valerie club sandwich and the chocolate gateau! So yummy!

Very busy and was told there was a 35 minute wait for food so I got a meal deal sandwich and had a coffee with it. Three self-service screens out of order on a Saturday! The staff were putting the round alerts for food orders next to non-working screens!🙄 Coffee was nice when it arrived. No healthy milk options like oat or soya, and only semi-skimmed milk listed. Maybe it is better on weekdays but not recommended for Saturdays if today was typical of what it is like.

very bad attitude, you always have to wait for 20/30 minutes, apparently the boss doesn't have enough money for staff
