Peacock Bar in Bradford

Freindly staff great choice of beers and lagers. Not tried the food but told that is superb. If your on North Parade pop in you won't be disappointed!

If I could give a zero I would. Great atmosphere, great music, lovely bar staff - truly vile security/ door staff. Tonight I visited peacock bar for the first and last time. I visited, just myself and a female colleague. She was anxious about using the conveniences, I told her I’d make sure she was safe. She got in to the loo, I opened the door and made sure no one else was in there, she had difficulty with the split door, i assisted. I went back out of the loo. I was accosted by a very large man who told me “the camera seen us going in to shag”. I’m not an unobvious homosexual, but putting the semantics aside the timings wouldn’t allow that in less than 60 seconds. I laughed it off and hoped she hadn’t heard, she had heard and apologised, we were both embarrassed. I was outside the loos, she came out. We went downstairs. We were escorted out by a very aggressive Asian man, I won’t repeat the terms he used to initiate the exchange (nor the response I gave) but we didn’t have an option to revisit the bar which was truly insulting. Awful place, awful biases, disgusting attitudes and very narrow minded and aggressive attitudes. Presumably the security guards are there to protect their guests, which they failed to do. The gentleman insulted us then closed the electronic shutters. Disgusting behaviour which I intend to pursue. I feel for the staff who work so hard for the rapport with clients.

Always friendly, unfortunately no food due to work outside, we will be back

First time of going. Went on a Tuesday so was quiet. Ended up chatting to the barman and a lovely man @ the bar. (Does the music on Thursday) liver pool fan unfortunately 🤣🤣. Nice variety of drinks and reasonably priced

Nice kebab very tasty £8 food arrived fairly quickly we was in their at lunch time, the only disappointment was the food being served on a paper pate and plastic fork.

Wow - hidden gem We ordered starters and a curry to come together - they aren’t massive potions but they are priced accordingly Chicken kebab, Paneer Tikka, chicken curry and SPAM pakoras (wow again ) - we like Asian food and the spice levels and tastes were very very good - couple of nice pints and some attentive and courteous bar staff Couldn’t recommend more as an alternative to Bingley’s other curry restaurants

Great little bar, asset to Bradford

It was a fun bar & food hangout with some amazing musical performances on a Wednesday, I tried a really cool, never ever had before Beer 🍺 “Lal toofan” or Red Storm, with some Indian food & nan bread, loved it, was a surprise package, just got louder later, but fun place to hangout, dine & drink with friends!!!

I'm reviewing this venue as the bingley peacocks which is owned by the same person as I understand. Let me start by saying that this is by far the best curry in all of Bradford in my opinion, which given its considered the curry capital is something to be truly proud of. Their curry is not like others, you can tell it's home made, traditional recipes made with care and love. As a bar, their drinks selection is amazing too. Really enjoy their selection of fruity ciders, especially the cherry cider. Amazing food, drink and best of all the owner is a truly nice person. What more could you ask for.

Weekend in Bradford with the wife and kids after studying here many years ago. Found via Google and walked from the town centre on a freezing cold night but could not have been better!!! Selection of drinks perfect and served in the correct glasses!!! Guinness in a John Smith's glass will always taste like cack! And the tunes being played as background music were all #bangers!!! Please let me be in Bradford again!!?

Watched the euro finals what a atmosphere and a brilliant service from everyone from start to finish. Real good customer service these people know how to make this place better than the rest absolutely amazed by them going that extra mile in making people feel welcomed. This is how to run a bar definitely will be going back there would definitely rate this place to go. Will be back again definitely with a few of my mates.

Altogether this place is great, good service, nice atmosphere and location - go check it! Met up with friends Saturday afternoon at Peacocks. It's a lovely little friendly bar with a great vibe. I love the seats and cushions. There's a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices. The rugby was on TV so there was a lovely atmosphere. Our favourite bar in this area.

Finished our night here. Nice drinks, good atmosphere, ACE music and the poutine was delicious. Staff member at the bar didn't notice me for a few minutes as he was busy reading a book.

Love this place, the staff are friendly and the seats are so comfy, great for meeting friends. About £3 a pint and the selection is small but they make up for that with the ambience.

Love it It's been a while since I last went in but the staff are always friendly, regardless of how busy they are. If you see them out of work they are even friendly then too. They make a great effort with almost everyone. I would also point out that they have more variety of rum than the rum bar on the same street lol

Not so busy bar which has both ground nd first floor. Loved the sides there. We ordered panneer , mutton chops and chicken jalfrezi. Everything was good. Panneer could have been better . Overall we enjoyed our time there. There was no one on the first floor when we went so it was like our own place. A definite go for the hospitality, friendly staff nd mouth watering sides

My husband and I have been visiting this venue on a regular basis for a number of years. We loved the atmosphere of the place and always felt welcome. The last 2-3 times we have noticed a change. The place doesn't get as busy and the atmosphere just isn't the same any more. We are aware the staff have recently lost a very special gentleman but the changes started taking place before this very sad loss. We visited this afternoon and left after one drink feeling most disappointed and deflated.Just not the same any more. So sad

There's several good bars on North Parade however The Peacock stands out because of its vibrant atmosphere and quirky surroundings, good beers and Indian street food.
