Very poor customer service. The two women who were working there on 19th March afternoon should both receive some training. Atrocious.

Dark atmosphere, old-looking food and poor service. Additionally, they started vacuuming the salon during opening hours. I do not recommend!

Convenient coffee shop. No table service.

My husband bought 10 mini Chocolat beignets for me after work as a treat but they were stale and hard! Very disappointed as these donuts are normally delicious and fresh. Ended up throwing all away,what a waste of money.

I go to chef Paul when I find him even outside the country where he was born, that is France and previously in Paris due de la Seine

Selling bread from prior day(s). Pretty upsetting to find out home that bread wasn’t fresh and minimum a day old. Wouldn’t happen in any supermarket!

Ordered 2 pastries and 2 teas,the pastries were lovely but the tea was awful. The mugs are so big and the one teabag and too much milk put in by the server gave an awful weak and tasteless cup of tea,such a shame

Great hot chocolate. Dark and pretty thick

Been here a few times. Food just “okay” and coffee 50% of time was burnt. My complaint is how rude the staff are. In particular, the young lady with long dark hair and glasses - no “thank you” : “how are you” or smiles / plain dismissive and actually rude and plain nasty - and all this considering a simple take away baguette or pastry is so expensive! On my last (and final) occasion that I bought lunch she “literally” laughed in my face - maybe making fun of my French accent as she thought it was bad? She also keepsthe sandwich etc right behind the counter in her hand until the credit card payment has gone through. Ridiculous. This same lady was rude on each occasion despite me always being polite etc. In summary, you seriously need to re/train your staff as they are like this on almost all your branches!! And this lady was the final straw - so no, I shan’t be returning and you have lost a customer.

Absolutely wonderful warm coffee shop to pop, grab your fix and head to work in the early hours of the morning. Always fast, quick to order, have an awesome app to gain loyalty points. I always head here before the job for a cappa and sausage roll, good stuff guys!

A smile from staff wouldn't do harm... They always look grumpy and attention to the customer is very bad... Usually left waiting at the counter for 5 min while staff are chatting amongst themselves in back

This restaurant offers superb service as well as delightful menu. One of my favourite spots around here. The food came out quick and the rates are affordable. Will definitely recommend this place.

First time in this restaurant between Bank and Liverpool Street. We ordered salmon with couscous (the sauce is amazing) and chicken casserole (delicious mix of spices with mashed potatoes). We enjoyed our meal with a glass of french wine and had a cocktail afterwards. The best part was the deal of 50% off on mains with a code (just in January) - a main dish in a restaurant in the city for less than 7 pounds? We loved it!

One of my favorite bakery/restaurant.. The 2 stars for the barista for being unfriendly and upset and the table wasn't cleaned.

Staff very keen to help. Very convenient for meetings and after work drinks.

Very laid back venue, it has the significant advantage of combining quality pastries/coffee with alcohol options until late in the evening. To my knowledge this is a major differentiator in the area, ideal if you want to enjoy a catch up mid week after work without drinking. Highly recommended.

It's my favourite restaurant in the city. I'm coming here at least twice per week. The menu is either good for a light lunch or a three course meal. I absolutely love the french onion soup, the minute steak and the creme brulee! The atmosphere is really important for me and I feel really welcome by all the staff.

A colleague suggested we try this restaurant spin off from Paul’s Bakery. Good food at very decent prices, for this part of town. The service was attentive and with a smile, particularly when part of our order was misunderstood and corrected immediately. The one disappointment was the person at the front desk (not one of the servers). Too engrossed in her mobile phone to give us any sort of acknowledgement as we left, despite me saying “thank you”, which is why the review gets a three instead of a four. Little things but can leave a big impression.

The food was so good, the baked camembert was so delicious. The staff were really nice also, as we were leaving they gave us a box with cakes to go and wished us Happy Valentine's day.

A staff member at counter rude and dismissive.

We went last week for dinner, our experience was amazing. We ordered steak and some fish. Food was excellent but the service was even better . I would say it was a busy night but everyone was very attentive, helpful and friendly. The location is close to Liverpool station that it is a plus too. Beautiful and cosy restaurant. I will recommended it 100% and for sure we will be back.

I truly enjoy my visit at Tower 42. The environment and decoration of the restaurant is quite pleasant, plus the staff members working there were very friendly and helpful to make me decide what to eat. Sure I'll be back! I'm craving to try the gourmandise!!

I was in the Tower42 branch for late lunch. Great decor and amazing staff. Good bar with a big selection of drinks. Will be here to try out the other dishes on the menu !

I've visited the bakery twice and both times staff members were so clueless - wrong charges, missing products in order, not knowing where things are, not knowing how things work... Please train your staff better.

Wonderful experience of a price worth paying. The team of waitresses was very attentive with us. Fast service and really good recommendation of main dishes. The food was fresh and well prepared. If you work in the area I would recommend you to try this restaurant for lunch meetings.

Food and drinks are great here but I have never come across such grumpy and characterless staff who look at you as if you are an inconvenience rather than a customer. A Smile is all it takes!

Polite to customers but rude to your own staff. Not the best look.

I am a huge fan of Paul for years already but this is next level, I love this place! The blue, green and red goes to harmonic with the black! I love the interior! Apart from that I love the products, the atmosphere and omg what a staff the waitress with her ponytale working around 11today was sooooo smily, friendly, proactive and then the host with the curly darkblonde hair was really welcoming! I will definetly be back!

Very rude staff, awful experience. I was on crutches and unable to carry my drink to the table and was told ' there is no table service here'. So they expected me to carry it myself to the table.

Absolutely horrible service with mediocre food. We had a group meal here that was reserved and planned in advance. We had a fixed 3 course meal with 3 choices for each course. The menu was placed in advance earlier in the day. Despite this, we did not get starters until after an hour. It took another hour for the main course to arrive. The staff was very unorganized and largely unattentive. They were horrible communicators. They also over promised when food would arrive. When one person did not get their main course they said it was coming and would be "1-2 minutes". It arrived 15 minutes later, not 1-2 minutes later. At this point it was 2 hours and 25 minutes into the meal. I left without desert because I did not want to wait another hour for desert. The food was okay, but most definitely not worth the price or the 2 hour wait. I would definitely not recommend this place.

¡Tres de nosotros reservamos para tomar el té de la tarde con prosecco sin fondo por 25 por persona! (Había un depósito de 10 por persona). Al llegar temprano cuando nos sentamos, comenzamos con una ronda de rociadores Aperol (6 durante las horas felices). El caballero que nos sirvió luego trajo el té de la tarde y comenzó el servicio. Delicioso, y como los críticos señalan que es una panadería francesa, el pan, los bollos y los dulces eran muy, muy buenos. Nos resultó un poco complicado encontrar a alguien que nos llenara los vasos, sin embargo, cuando lo mencionamos cortésmente, una señora nos trajo bebidas de inmediato. Encantadora decoración lujosa, cómodos asientos, donde tienes espacio a tu alrededor para que puedas tener una conversación decente sin escuchar a los demás / ser escuchado, y sin necesidad de gritar con música a todo volumen. Tuvimos una muy buena noche, y volveríamos y lo recomendaríamos si está buscando un buen lugar para comer y beber en el área de Broadgate / Liverpool Street.

Enjoyed the location and the breakfast of this Paul in Tower Hamlets. Multiple choices, but I chose coffee, pastry, and a desert (see the pic)

Really relaxed but smart atmosphere. Went with a friend who brought her toddler and the staff couldn't have been more accomodating, fabulous for the City and not what you'd expect at all

Staff were rude and wouldn't let us have a table, possibly because we were here with our children. Had to have cake standing at a tiny table despite plenty of 'reserved' empty ones. The waiter cleaned the table halfway through our macaroons and generally made it clear he wanted us out of the way as soon as possible. Simply awful.

Arranged a group Christmas dinner here. Made very welcome by the staff and the set menu was good value. We had to pre order and pay a deposit as we were a group of 9. Unfortunately one guest couldn't make it due to illness and while we were happy to forfeit his deposit we didn't realise we would have to pay for his meal in full. They offered his meal as a takeaway or to split between us. We went for the latter but not convinced we got his entire meal. Only one extra dessert appeared, but no extra soup or main course. I understand that keeping a no shows deposit keeps costs down but to go ahead an serve the meal when the deposit clearly covers the actual cost of the food seems greedy.

The happy hour 4-7 is amazing here, city hidden gem.

Lovely food and amazing atmosphere.

I stopped in after a five mile walk through London. Place was 25% full on a Tuesday night. Still seemed to need to get the hosts attention to get a seat. I had a beer, followed by the winter squash soup and coq au vin. The Soup was quite tasty, however the slice of bread that they sent with it was even tastier.....this was actually a disservice to the soup as the bread was much stronger tasting than the soup. Dipping the bread in the soup was not an option. The coq au vin was nice with tasty mashed potatoes off to one side. I am undecided as to the service of the main on a small hot frying pan.

Great place to eat and drink your Friday afternoon away

We sat outside because the weather was fantastic !Nice place with tasty sweets savories and coffees .The only thing that made me dont want to visit it again is the dirty toilets ,even their doors couldnt close and the whole situation was unacceptable!The bins hadnt been emptied for long .For me hygiene and cleaning is very important for such a place and they should keep an eye on this !

Popped in here for coffee and a croissant. We had an offer and the coffee was very good. The pastry was also very tasty and moist.

There are so many places to eat around Old Broad street but nothing compares to Le Restaurant de Paul. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and efficient. I was looking at the menu on the wall by the doorway when the waiter came out and offered me a menu to look at. Breakfast serving finishes at 12pm so I choose the herb omelette with Emmental and mushrooms from the all day menu. This also came with chips and salad. The food arrived quickly and was tasty. There menu is well catered for vegetarians with a good few dishes. The dessert menu is made up of usual French classics - creme brûlée, strawberry meringue mess and chocolate mousse. A few too many cream based desserts for me so I just opted for two scoops of ice cream. I wouldn’t say that the food was expensive but it is not cheap either.

I love this place. So convenient When I am the City for breakfast or lunch. I killed a couple of hours ahead of a meeting upstairs over hot breakfast coffee and juice with a colleague. Service is very efficient and unlike a lot of pubs the toilets are on the same level not 50 steps down.

Nibbles, breads, sushi, bottomless fizz, lovely building and nice staff, we got us a deal on wowcher.com, readily available, and good value, but be warned, you will get charged 'gratuities' on the ORIGINAL price.

Smart place for after-work drinks

Upmarket version of your corner Paul's. Service is excellent. Food is better than expected...from a bakery.
