An alright coffee to take away. The staff however offer no niceties and are eating behind the counter, more interested in their friends than paying customers.

I have been to many Patisserie Valerie branches and have always been very impressed with the quality of food and service. We went with a voucher recieved as a wedding present. No booking required. We arrived and handed in the voucher and a huffy woman asked if we had booked, no we hadn't. She the said she would need to check the voucher and it would be a minimum of a 20 minute wait. We then said that one of us was vegetarian, this again provoked more huffiness, as we should have ordered if we required a special diet. I asked for my voucher back in that case and we would ge elsewhere and use it at another branch, she calmed a little and explained that they only had Egg and cucumber sandwiches available as they don't have a kitchen. We explained that we were happy JUST to have the egg and cucumber sandwiches and didnt require anything special. We then were told to sit down and she would bring tea once she had checked the voucher. On sitting down we suddenly realised that one of the sandwiches she had mentioned was tuna, my husband doesnt like fish at all so decided to go and say that we'd apprecciate the tuna being left off... MORE HUFFINESS, we weren't asking for anything EXTRA, jsut for the tuna to be left off and extra ham or something. The Afternoon tea arrived afirly quicklyn and we were told if we wanted more tea or coffee to go up and ask for it. There definietly isnt a high level of customer service here. The staff were rude and unwelcoming in the extream. There were many 'A' boards up around the perimeter of the cafe advertsing Afternoon tea so preumably they accept walk ins? The food quality was "ok" nothing special at all but acceptable but it left a bad taste in our mouths due to the poor service. In hindsight I wish I had got the voucher returned and gone elsewhere saving the voucher for a visit to another branch.

I received a groupon for tea for 2, no need to book. Went with my granddaughter, saying we were going for a cake. Excited almost 3 year old. Arrived at 11.40 and said I had a groupon voucher. The girl serving asked another woman who was sat having coffee on outside of serving unit. She came back and said no we are not doing this. I said the voucher needed to be used and she returned the the woman on outside of counter who I then assumed was the manager, then came back and said we couldn’t use the voucher. We were not offered any other food/ cake in replacement. Firstly if that was the manager, she had no customer service training, she should of spoken to me herself. Secondly, a different offer would of been helpful. My daughter that bought me the voucher did phone and complain once I got home and she was offered a free lunch the following week.

Having read on line a great review, we travelled a distance for afternoon tea. On arrival we were told that cream teas not available, limited choice of sandwiches so we just bought 4 cakes for £11, which were takeaway. They were very large cheesecake portions, but no forks or implements with which to eat them! So hands were used and I have to say my lemon cheesecake had no flavour. Staff very much need training in customer care

What more need I say, well presented venue in the middle of The SQ. Bought 2 slices of cake, 1 was strawberry & cream sponge : the other a black forest gateaux. Both very tasty, not overly sweet or sickly, none the less tasty :-)

I went for a cup of tea while waiting for my wife. When I paid for the tea my wife suddenly step in and told her to find a seat for us. Hoping to have a nice cup of tea and a cake together. But the staff told us we are not allowed to seat. Is because I am brown? Are they being racists. I am so upset and dismayed. I’ve talked to the manager and went for a complaint.

First visit for a birthday treat for my mum, also had my 4yo daughter. We went for the afternoon tea which was great value for money £25 for two with unlimited tea or coffee. Friendly girl served us and was informative and welcoming. Coffee was nice and she also made my daughter feel welcome. The food was good although the white bread sandwiches were hard, we complained and this was sorted straight away, the manager made another round of sandwiches for us with no trouble at all. They offered to box our leftovers to take home and cleared our table quick. Although this is in the middle of a shopping centre it's strangely relaxing and there's lots of space to not feel you are having coffee with a stranger (unlike some coffee shops!). We will be back!

I came to work in the mall and throughout the day I saw that it was very busy, always clean and tidy with tasty cakes. My order was taken quickly and had a brief chat with the manager while he was cleaning the tables. Loved that he did that as he is setting an example to his staff and he's not the type to bark orders at his staff while sitting there doing nothing. Shows great teamwork between staff and management. Wiĺl definitely come again when next in the area.

Such a relaxing cafe to be at when you’re inside the Camberley shopping centre. The seats are good. The food looks great and is very appetising. The coffees and teas look very good and the food especially the Gateaus tastes wonderful and are very filling. The staff are very friendly. It’s worth being at! Definitely a place to be at if you’re a sweet kind of person. They do all sorts of sweet foods like cakes, biscuits, croissants, pain au Chocolat etc.

Popped in for quick tea and cake. Not just so why did it take 15mins to get the tea by which time we had finished the cake. They had 5 or 6 staff few customers yet struggled to bring our order. They also did not clear the tables. When they did bring our order the tea pots were half empty. Won't go back.

Having a mall centre location it's a convenient place to have a sit down with hot drink/cake/light bite. It can get busy at weekends but during the week there's usually spare tables. Being out in the open it feels more light and airy compared to an indoor cafe - ok it can get a bit noisy with passing shoppers but it's not a big issue. We selected cakes which are taken at the till with hot drinks brought to your table (which seems to take a while even when not busy). Pleasantly surprised to have a pot of loose tea which was reasonable quality and not tea bag bitter.

I have always liked Patisserie Valerie, have visited Oxford and Hove branches. This one is situated in the middle of the Shopping Mall and I just had a coffee and a panne au chocolate. I was tempted by the large size and was rather disappointed, it was rather dry. The coffee was good but the cup seemed small. Service was good and friendly. I think it is over-priced for what it is, quite honestly the Lidl's cake was better that this on offer.

I went to Camberley recently and was delighted to find that there was now a branch of my favourite coffee bolt-hole in the main Atrium shopping centre. We stopped and ordered coffees, an almond croissant and a fruit pastry. The almond croissant was so hard I couldn't get a knife into it, let alone through it and my husband's pastry was little better. I took mine back and exchanged it for a pain au raisin. This was pretty poor too. I don't know what had happened to the lovely soft, fresh pastries we are used to at Pat Val!!! The coffee arrived after a long wait and that was also pretty grim. However, I used mine to eat my pain a la francaise, dipping it into the coffee which made it edible. We won't go back there and they need to raise their game! There is an excellent Caffè Nero in the House of Fraser and a pretty good Costa quite nearby. We were very disappointed, especially as it wasn't cheap! Put this one down to experience!

We lived in Camberley for many years until recently and one of the reasons we did not not go browsing shops there was because there were no decent cafes. We visited family in Camberley last week and were delighted to find this cafe which we are familiar with in London, Edinburgh and various other towns. We used it for breakfast most days as we were in a town centre hotel and we found the food and especially the coffee delicious. Service was good, staff polite and helpful. Some still finding their way around but that's OK as they were very pleasant. A great and long awaited addition in Camberley.

We were chuffed to find this branch on our doorstep but our first visit was underwhelming to say the very least, we regularly visit the Woking store where the staff and service are first rate - not so in Camberley but, my wife was in town again today and called to buy a treat for desert tonight, sadly the service was again poor which took the sparkle away - we won't trouble this store again and will stick to the lovely Woking store.

We were served promptly by the delightful manager. I noticed there were more staff this visit as the first time I visited they seemed under staffed and the waitress' seemed unorganised, which is understandable for a new place, there will be teething problems with staff. This time though, was extremely busy so I knew to be patient but I was seen to straight away! I left feeling refreshed and happy at the excellent customer service! Great job guys!

As I live in Camberley I was thrilled to see that Patisserie Valerie had opened in the mall and couldn't wait to buy something, but sadly I was extremely disappointed . I bought two lemon tarts which were very tasty, but, sadly, the the salami rolls were inedible as they were stale with only a scraping of butter on them. I am surprised that the Franchisor or manager is not checking these things more carefully. I certainly won't return as there are many places in Camberley where I can buy filled rolls which I know are fresh and equally lovely cakes and tarts. They have a lot of competition.

We were delighted to find Patisserie Valerie in Camberley especially with a gluten-free menu. My husband and I ordered a cake each together with one hot drink and one bottle of water. We were supplied with our cakes and given a number. Fifteen minutes later we were still waiting for our drinks. We asked at the counter to be told our drinks would arrive shortly. Another ten minutes passed (we had eaten our cakes ages ago) when a young girl asked whether we were finished !!! Eventually our drinks arrived; the hot chocolate was luke-warm. A number of other customers were also querying where there drinks were. Not a good experience. This could be an amazing place but the service needs to be energized.
