Patch Bar in City of London, Westminster

Quality of food does not reflect value for money. A £13 pizza was also significantly smaller than what you normal get at a pizza restaurant, it was as large as the size of my hand…However, with the happy hour, it made it a bit more acceptable.

Great big space downstairs. Can stand out the front and have a drink. Great service. Was nice.

This place is good for parties 🎉 and get togethers. I just don’t like the fact that it’s a bit off the beaten track as you have to go down lots of side roads when you come out of the station. It’s not great if it’s dark, so best to walk with someone or take an Uber. I don’t think it’s very accessible if you have mobility issues

This is a lovely basement bar: quirkily decorated in a sort of re-imagined 1920s style, but not over-the-top, comfortable, clean. Went on a Wednesday, early-evening with work colleagues and it was quiet, which is presumably why they have the 2-for-1 offers etc. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the cocktails they prepared were excellent. Ordered food, which came quickly, was hot, tasty, just the thing. Their own Patch brew is very acceptable. They were going with a Baz Luhrmann 'The Great Gatsby' music vibe, which was, erm, also quirky, but it wasn't too loud and we were able to "talk shop" without shouting at each other. Would definitely go here again.

Nice bar, great staff, bit of outside seating and a good upbeat atmosphere downstairs if that's what you are looking for.

The place has very good music, the service is not bad at all but food could be better. Prices are average and nothing special.

The service, and the server in particular, was outstanding. I wish I got her name to mention her personally (she had shoulder lengthier curly-ish hair, wearing knee length shorts on Friday evening). She was remarkable and really made our experience incredible! Regarding the the service and food, the frozen margaritas were really tasty, all of the food was tasty and reasonably priced.

Great pub, great location, great atmosphere and if you get there for the happy hour so worth it!!

Came here to watch the euros match, great atmosphere, lots of TV screens so everyone could watch the football. Drinks and food were also great!

Held our summer party here to thank our team for all their continued support/hardwork. Zara and the team were fantastic from start to finish. They helped me to choose the right food and the right split of Prosecco/beers/wine for our arrival. The bar team were friendly and very helpful all evening and the DJ had us all up and dancing. We had a fantastic eve - thanks to Team Patch!

Sasha was the most amazing bartender I have ever had. So friendly, amazing drink suggestions and pure legend.

Hosted a private event at Patch St Paul’s for me and my husband’s joint 40th. It was great, the team helped with the planning and prep, including inviting us along to sample the food before we ordered anything. On the night I couldn’t have asked for more, the staff were great.

Mariana and Audi took great care of us! Happy hour is excellent value. Staff are really lovely. Not as busy as nearby pubs, so works great for an after work drinks. Will definitely be back.

Really great vibe to the place. The service was excellent, which is hard to find in central during the week at cocktail hour. Mariana served us the whole night and was very professional, attentive, and friendly. She needs a raise. Thank you so much Mariana!

Mariana is so badass and provides the best fluffy passion fruit cocktails as well as being an excellent freestyle dance instructor. She made my work drinks and deserves a raise.

I was there for a meetup group. Only negative would be that I hope they invest in more air con as it was a fully packed room at the time but the service from Doy (hope I spelt it correctly) was 5* stars. Friendly and helped create a much better atmosphere. Thanks!

Unfortunately the table I reserved was next to the bar so we felt in the way and chairs kept getting knocked. Friend ordered nachos which were nice but I ordered three items from the small plates menu that were all cold ! Music was good

Thank you Patch St Paul’s for hosting a wonderful farewell party for our corporate function! Everything was taken care of perfectly, drinks and food were delicious and “after care” of people needing to collect items the day after was excellent- thank you Manon and team for being so accommodating!

Customer service was mediocre. The manager, who was sitting at adjacent to the bar didn't acknowledge me after I said hello. They didn't have their own house beer in stock. The bartender was friendly and the nachos that we ordered were decent. He even brought us more crisps to clean up the plate. Over all an ok experience.

Mariana has been the most amazing server ever!! She was so lovely and provided us with the best entertainment ever. Would highly recommend coming to Patch for the delicious drinks and wonderful service!

I had a great night at Patch for my friend's 40th bday! The atmosphere was banging and the staff were really friendly! However some of the prices of the drinks were really random! One time I got a beer and archer with lemonade at £16.50 and then the next time I got the same it was £13.75!? It was the same for my friend as well the numbers were way off!

I threw a party at Patch St Pauls and had an amazing time. The staff were very helpful during the planning stages. During the event they were lovely and friendly too. The space is clean and has unique decor that works for a party. I would recommend the venue to anyone looking for a large space to host an event.

Great part of the city. Ticked away down the small historic lanes in the city of London, Patch is a quirky, lively, modern bar. Serving beers, cocktails and alcohol free drinks. Been here a few times for private parties and walk-ins. Had many good nights here, right in St Paul’s doorstep!

Celebrated my birthday at the Patch St Paul's - Carter Lane. It was an amazing place, had a very warm and comfortable vibe. The bar was very clean and tidy. Good quality food - serviced at scheduled time. And the customer service was unmatchable, the Manager and the Bartender were very professional, polite and helpful. Had an amazing time :)

We held our engagement party at Patch on Saturday night. Patch's team was so supportive leading up to the evening and the service on the night was great. Their fried king prawns are amazing, everyone loved them! The bar is beautiful and a great place to hold our biggest celebration to date. Thanks for a great night, team Patch!

Had a really enjoyable evening with work colleagues and great drink deals between 5pm - 7pm. Barman Greg was really friendly and a real asset to the team ….great time had by all.

Not welcoming. WiFi failed for 1.5 hours, so no purchases possible. Toilets didn't flush. The venue and its hosts contribute nothing (or negative) to the atmosphere

horrible place the security and management are by far the worst i’ve ever dealt with. one is the lowest number but i’d give a zero. honestly disgusting. The management is terribleeeee they do don’t treat people with respect. never ever ever use this venue or give them any money ever. worst experience in london. they don’t treat girls with respect.

Do not waste your time at this place. The staff was rude and very unprofessional and expected a group of young women to walk down the alley to wait for a cab instead of outside the establishment. I am appalled by the way my friends and I where treated and would not recommend.

My friend was throwing a party at this venue, and she worked so hard to get everything together. I had a great time because of her, NOT BECAUSE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Patch St James has the RUDEST workers, (except for Joe), every single person who worked here tried their hardest to make everyone miserable. I was YELLED AT, CHASTISED, SHAMED, just for standing and trying to get a drink. THE BEHAVIOR WAS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I would not recommend to ANYONE!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!

This is the worst place. The staff are rude and try to pick fights. They take things away from people for their own use and are incredibly rude. The manager is disgusting and is often sexist. I highly recommend you never ever book this place. It should be shutdown. They will end early and not follow their contact. They push you away from the street when you are outside the venue.

Had an absolutely brilliant night at Patch last night for my birthday party. All the pre event communication was brilliant - all very accomodating for dietary requirements for food and pre ordering etc. And on the night everything was brilliant. The staff were fabulous. Really attentive and looked after us brilliantly. Thanks so much!

Organised a Careers Networking event for our alumni in the Cocktail Lounge at Patch St Paul's. Great success largely down to the helpful and friendly staff. Enjoyed delicious sliders with our drinks. Would definitely recommend!

Had visited the place for an office get together on a weekday evening. Good location, cozy ambience and good music. Prices are reasonable and they have lounges which are quite comfy. The in-house Patch lager is a must try...Since the place is underground, mobile connection is pretty poor.

Was there for a networking event and really enjoyed it.

Held a fantastic Private Work Event at Patch. From early in the planning process Natalie made everything so seem less. All F&B orders were confirmed ahead of the event, as we took full advantage of their great happy Hour Prices. We were so well looked after by Paul and all the Team on the night, DJ Inko provided all the tunes we asked for and read the room in terms what to play. A great venue hidden in the back streets south of Ludgate Hill. Prices are good value for London, friendly staff and overall a good vibe. My only negative comment is that the seating isn't the most comfortable and some of the stools are really high making it an effort to climb on to for those of us who are vertically challenged.....

We booked for a group of 20 for some Xmas drinks. Great bar but made greater by its fantastic staff. They were so friendly and attentive. We had a great time, just wished it was open a bit later!

It was my first time at Patch St Paul's as an old regular of Patch East. Staff found us a nicer/less noisy table further away from the bar, which was exactly what we had hoped for - then our cocktails, mocktails and food just kept on coming! Staff was super friendly, got our orders and brought our drinks quickly - on that note, elderflower fizz and honeydew were very/too easy to drink. I keep coming back to Patch East for their choice in cocktails and mocktails (nice to end the night with) as well as sides. They've nailed it again as far as we were concerned so will be back!

Good food for the most part, great service and friendly staff. Beautiful venue. Only let down is that we hired downstairs as a private party and people from upstairs kept coming in ahd out all night. There was no one on the door to manage it so not the best.

Attiya makes the best cocktails and was so attentive, you should really check out this bar if u wanna have fun and ask for attiya if you want to have good cocktails .

What a dreadful experience. Arranged a date for party with the venue and a time to view & pay deposit. The team put a hold on the date so nobody else could book. All of this confirmed on email and the Patch team even emailed on the day to confirm i would still be going. I turn up for a drink and pay deposit to be told by the manager that sorry, the venue now wasnt available on my chosen date & would i like the night before. Dreadful, unprofessional and not the way to treat people.

I had Thai green chicken skewers and they tasted super authentic like the chicken machwi we have backhome in North Africa. so juicy and frech. I also tried lamb brisket mini burgers and it’s such a heavenly treat! highly recommend the food and the cosy, beautifully decorated restaurant!

Came here on a Thursday and it was much quieter than the other bars nearby, and had plenty of seats available. We booked through designmynight which matched the first round of drinks. The drinks were super strong and amazing, highly recommend this place! The bouncer was very funny too.

Had a brilliant time, half price on wine and we had complimentary bubbles ok arrival. Lara and her husband were most inviting and looked after us. We always love Patch ! :) Went to Patch again on Friday 15/7. Had a great time. The place is clean and very well decorated. There was a large group of us and we were welcomed and look after really well. Great DJ to he played tunes to our taste. Cocktail maker Tom was particularly entertaining wi his cocktail making skills :)) Patch is a regular haunt for us !! Love it :))

Great atmosphere and drink’s. Staff are friendly and always going out of your way to make you feel at home. Went here 6 months ago befor tonight and when we went back they remembered us amd welcomed is like family. Will be back time and time again. Plus they make the best manhattan’s too.

Absolutely terrible experience - went here for a work drinks, booked a space for 20, would have sat 12 at a push. Massively overbooked, everyone crammed in like sardines, sweating so the whole place stank. Music pumping so loud you can’t hold a conversation. If you’re booked with multiple work events, nobody is dancing, people want to chat! So so poor

Drinks were great, music could be a bit more mixed But on a whole i will be bavk again next week. 🍾🤗🥂

Big big up to Franco the mixologist at Patch. Not alonly keeping eleven orders in his head but getting them all correct under very trying circumstances. Cannot fault nor give enough praise to the staff at Patch. Simply the best.

A gem tucked away in the city. Love this place, always look forward to stopping by. Come for cool atmosphere, or the good food & drink, stay for the wonderful people.
