We stopped here for a coffee/tea whilst shopping in the outlet centre. We ordered a flat white and a breakfast tea and a slice of Carrot Cake. The Carrot cake was very good. The only 'downside' they don't accept cash (card only) and after i had ordered our drinks I decided I would order the cake (the staff member was quite offish about it,perhaps she was on an off-day),but overall the place was ok.

We came here a year ago on holiday. Returning this year it was just as good. Great bakery items - we had breakfast pastries this time. The staff are lovely and friendly. There is a very good atmosphere generally and their attention to detail in staying on top of clearing tables and cleaning up is a master class for other establishments to copy! Great coffee too although fairly pricey for the amount you get. You get what you pay for though and it’s worth it. Although we didn’t have Cornish pasties this time the smell was mouthwatering! Maybe next time!

The best coffee in town and run by a great team. The recent facelift given to the interior looks very good and the new outside seating area will be put to good use if it ever stops raining! Being local and frequent visitors, this is our “go to” stop for coffee.

Lunchtime visit. Very busy but we were serviced promptly and found a table. My husband had the chicken tikka pasty and I had the traditional one. Both were very tasty. We visited this site today not at all amused.Where do I start when we entered the premises I was looking forward to our coffee and pasty, this soon turned to dread as we walked up the queue I started to notice that the place was filthy this filled me with dread We noticed that the tea pots that where being use looked like they hadn’t been washed tea stains and dribble on the outside o saw one had the lid turn upside dawn and this had tea stains yuck yuck yuck When was waiting for my coffee to be made which by now I had changed to take away, we saw that the cups on top of the coffee machine where as bad as the teapots dribble makes down the outside trays weren’t clean coffee stain all over them I was not amused The whole place inside and our where unkept tables filthy floor disgusting In the outside setting area there was food. Napkins and general debris on the floor come on the manager wakes wake When we sat down on a bench outside the shop I was looking forward to my £4.00 pasty I bit into it and found in was 80% potatoes with 20% steak and Stilton. Not amused we are going through a pandemic and expect a lot better from an leading chain of coffee shops you should be looking after use not putting us in danger to to poor staff practices

We had coffee and breaky here at the Cornish Bakery primarily because our usual stop was closed due to staff shortages. We used to use the bakery several times a week a number of years ago but after the size of the coffee cups reduced and the prices went up we parted company. There were also a number of management changes which didn’t help either. What was great about this visit is that the three staff members on duty that morning, Ben, Dora and Katie, were still there from when we used to visit and it was great to catch up with them all. It was unfortunate that the bakery had ceased serving the bacon and cheese croissants and still used the small cups for the Americano coffee but to be fair the food we did have was okay. Great staff, good service and it was nice to be back after so long. Will we return? Probably not but don’t be deterred, small cups may be to your liking.

Just a note to praise the patience and professional nature of the manager and staff in the face of the abuse and ignorance shown by a couple when asked very politely to wear a mask whilst in the queue. How they kept there cool and remained professional in the face of such a volley of abuse makes them stand out as being a credit to your company. All the other customers in the queue were disgusted by this couples verbal attack on the staff and made our feelings known as the staff stuck to there tasks manfully. Well done to all staff involved.

What a shame. We have always had a good experience in this cafe before lockdown. On Friday, we queued for ages and once inside, told that we had to wear masks even though we were eating in. Once we ordered they told us that we couldn't have a dog with us. When we explained that we have always been able to have our dog in their cafe in the past, we were confronted by two women who barked at us that they are no longer welcome. The female staff were really rude and confrontational. There were NO SIGNS at the beginning of the queue to say that dogs are not allowed and as mentioned before, flies over all the pasties. Luckily, the pub across the road is dog friendly, have friendly staff and great food so we will head there in the future. Let's face it CORNISH BAKERY, it only takes one bad experience to lose custom, especially these days....

When you're queuing up for food somewhere, the last thing you want to see in the window, is wasps crawling all over the food. Wish I took a photo now, but there was at least 5 wasps one on pasty. We visited the clarkes out let and thought of grabbing something to eat here. I was waiting in the que not for long and there was sanitizer to use on entry, but as I was waiting I saw around 6 wasps flying around and landing on the food, whilst I understand that they fly anywhere and everywhere there should be appropriate coverings over the scones in the window, sandwiches, and pasties so wasps and flies cant land on the food they are about to serve. I quietly left the que as this did put me off, and went to Gregg's on the main high street instead.

We last visited the Clarks Village branch of the Cornish Bakery a couple of years ago, and at that time we particularly enjoyed the Cornish pasties. This time we were looking forward to repeating the experience, but we were very disappointed. About three quarters of the pasty was filled with a tasteless mixture of potato and carrot/turnip and the meat that there was there was hard, tasteless and concentrated along the edge of the pasty, consequently not mixed in with the vegetables, which would have been much more enjoyable. Considering each pasty cost £4.80 to eat in, we thought it was a very poor offer.

I have visited the Cornish Bakery in Clark’s Village every week during August, sometimes alone, sometimes with my wife. On every occasion there have been wasps flying around and crawling over the various food items, cakes, savouries etc. Generally a big put off and particularly for me with my allergy to wasp stings. The staff seemed unperturbed and continued to serve items that wasps had just “tasted”.

Came in for my usual ham and cheese croissant but was persuaded by the extremely friendly manager to try the new vegan pasty, not my normal thing but grateful I did. Was a revelation and was shared round the table it looked so good. My number 1 place just got better and better, friendly informative staff and great variety of food.

Visited Clarks village on one of our twice yearly trips from our home in Plymouth and decided to have lunch at the Cornish Bakery. Both of our pasties were short on filling which was disappointing in itself but the main problem that they weren't hot as we had expected. Both were just about warm and were not pleasant to eat.

I went to this Bakery for Coffee & Cake last summer and again this week. Nice Coffee, but would never purchase their Cakes as they are displayed on a high counter (level to Customer’s heads) with No Covers. On both visits there were several flies around the Cakes. Bude & Looe Bakery’s Cakes were displayed the same (only no flies as different time of year). Flys land on Poo & stamp on food.

As a place of refuge during shopping, this was a very welcome sight. What else can one have but a Traditional Pasty (others in our party had other items). Everything was as it should be, and tasty too. The cafe was very clean.

Visited the Cornish Bakery in west Bay today, wasn't impressed. The traditional Cornish pastie was so dry and was not pleasant to eat. Wasn't impressed with the atmosphere either, the staff were very load and was shouting at each other.

A Tuesday night in January where other pubs in nearby villages are closed it was a joy to find this one open. A great traditional pub with a nice warm fire, friendly welcome, reasonable drinks, what more do you want? Deserves to be supported. Well done!

I was traveling down south through Frome and stopped here a bit late in the evening. I was quiet lost with finding out everything I needed for the next day. I was given plenty of information and help. The owner of this pub is an absolute Gentleman, The pub atmosphere is very friendly concidering its a small area and many lsmaller areas are not favorable to strangers. I'm looking forward to going back again.
