Gorgeous cafe with great coffee & cake, staff and music and a play area for children & their carers. Quiet and friendly and easy and we are all so sad the Snug is closing :(

A wonderful community haven for parents and toddlers as well as for 'Adults' in the front sitting area. A bright, comfortable environment, livened up with interesting art for sale displayed on the walls. Staff are invariably friendly and thoroughly spoil my little dog who now treats SNUG as her second home! The food is high quality, delicious and good value. All is home cooked with fresh, quality ingredients. I especially appreciate the brunches, but also the soups which are always surprising in the best possible way, tasty, nourishing, and always a wonderful blend of different textures and tastes. The cook I believe is a culinary artist, and I now go to Snugs twice a week on average. I cannot recommend enough!!

This felt like a great little retreat, the interior is well laid out, with a clear partition for mothers and their toddlers. The food is made in house, including the delicious cakes on display at the front. However, it’s clearly a female only scene as men aren’t really welcome, the staff made that clear. Shame.

I thoroughly enjoyed my full English breakfast and my husband equally enjoyed his Salmon and lentil salad. Our food was cooked to perfection with good quality ingredients. A wide range of drinks , was left absolutely stuffed. The cafe has a lovely ambiance , where one can work or simply while away a few hours. Fantastic friendly service , I will be visiting again.

The food was lovely, and a great menu for people with allergies/intolerances as it was easy to navigate. My only note would be that the avocado was quite browned, and we were there at about 11am so I don’t think it was really fresh - and we added a poached egg but what came was really quite small. Overall it was a decent place, quite expensive for what it is but would probably return in the hope that it’s abit nicer next time, as covid certainly isn’t making hospitality easy for anyone.

I went the the snug for the first time today. They have COVID measures in place. It is a stylish cosy vibe and the staff are really warm and friendly. I had a vegan coconut cake which is one on the lightest sponges I have ever had! I look forward to visiting again and working my way through tasting all their cakes (all made in-house too!)

I would thoroughly recommend the selection of cakes which they offer, and the Coffee is pretty damn good too, Overall it is a definite thumbs up from me! Ross

Snug is an adorable café with lots of space for seating inside. They have loads of nutritious food options for all dietary requirements from vegan to gluten free to vegetarian. The portions are so filling and the presentation of the food is absolutely beautiful. The menu has a range of healthy foods. We had a gluten free carrot cake with a layer of cream which was the lightest, tastiest carrot cake I have ever had. It had well distributed pieces of carrot on the inside with pieces of pecans. My friend had the sweet potato hash with quinoa, spinach and avocado. It was absolutely delicious again and super healthy. Another friend had the vegan summer porridge with fruits, chia, almonds and homemade berry compote. Once again, the presentation was amazing, super colourful and with lots of toppings. I had the freshly squeezed carrot juice and asked for ginger. It was so refreshing and yummy. The compliments I could give this place are endless, the workers are so lovely and welcoming. Their hospitality is on point. And I can tell they love their job because everything they do is with love. They also do private birthday parties and make birthday cakes to your desire. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE FOR FAMILY VISITS, FRIEND VISITS OR BIRTHDAYS. it’s a cute family friendly café.

Popped in here on a Saturday morning when I was looking for breakfast and to kill a few hours while my car had an MOT nearby. The venue is lovely with nice art on the walls. I ordered a delicious and healthy breakfast of Sweet Potato hash with some spinach and a poached egg. Most impotently the restaurant passed the crucial runny yolk test with flying colours. I ordered 10 little pastries and 2 croissants to take home with me and the total bill was over £30. A little more expensive than expected but quality of food and service was top notch! Definitely a great place that deserves loyal community support.

I spent a couple of months looking after my new granddaughter while her parents kept the money coming in for a house. They were sometimes long days and I found cafe Snug to be a real refuge to break up my day. Also, whatever I ordered was truly excellent, whether cake, soup, a light meal. Love sitting near the window reading the paper while Little One was having a nap. But the room at the back is the scene of much fun with its own ball pool and numerous high chairs. These people deserve to do well, offering a valued service to the community.

At the end of a grey miserable day I stopped to meet someone. The cafe was empty. I ordered just one coffee (fine). My friend was very late, and even though they might have closed early the staff were happy for us to stay until the last moment (well after closing time), lent me a phone charger, and were kind in ways that went beyond duty. I'll return, and for more than coffee.

Good bit for kids. Coffee and cakes are pretty nice. Consistently feel that the people that work there are too unfriendly though so that’s a three stars from me. If they smiled and were a little more polite it would be a 4 star.

Lovely cafe and atmosphere, great staff and a top eggs Benedict. This is a yummie mummies place with a lovely soft play area in the rear, but they are also very stylish and a good place for a relaxed brunch after a late night the night before for those not kiddied-up.

We (my father, sister and me) have visited this lovely place on the last day of our London stay, and it made us even more sorry we had to leave.. The place is very special, with separate sitting areas for families and other people. The food is so good - we ate there the best pumpkin soup ever! Ania was so charming and sweet - she prepared marvelous sandwiches for us to take to the airport, which made the terrible airport experience much more bareable.. Thank you Ania!! We will be happy to come again sometime.. From Ronit, Ami and Nitza from Israel

Made the mistake of going into a cafe where there were no other customers. I think I now know why. Visited the premises in the Square. Latte and croissant, paid immediately by card, lukewarm coffee, stale croissant then on leaving was accused of not paying. They made a check of their records and voila, it seems I had. Quite embarrassing and won’t be back.

Previously known as Cellar Gascon. Not sure why they changed its name but c'est la vie. I love this place - been coming for over 20 years. Amazing wine menu - some real treats for the cognoscenti, at very reasonably pricing. Staff are very friendly too.
