Felt welcomed the moment I stepped in, fast and effective in every way. Got the turkish breakfast to share. Had variety of spreads, jams, tahin, kaymak.. you name it! Came with normal Turkish bread as we all know and also freshly made balloon bread. Highly recommend, and will be back for more!

Selale Restaurant is a traditional Turkish restaurant in Harringay where you can enjoy the best of Turkish cuisine. The service is excellent, the food is delicious, and the drinks are delicious. All main courses come with a mixed salad, topped with a delicious pomegranate dressing. They also serve hummus and tzatsiki (cacık) accompanied by freshly baked pita bread, and the vegetable kofte is served over a rustic tomato sauce and lightly spiced rice. At the end of the meal, they also offer a complimentary glass of tea (çay). The staff are friendly and the space is pleasant and spacious.

Live around the area and this my favourite restaurant. Had the salmon which was delicious and tasty. Dilara was so kind and helpful. Good service!!

We regularly visit Selale as it’s our favourite Turkish restaurant on Green Lanes - we have tried a few others there, and Selale is really the best! Their food is consistently good & fresh, portions are generous and well presented. Very clean surroundings and comfortable, modern decor. Staff are always so lovely and friendly too, especially Ahmet who always looks after us so well. Met one of the owners recently and he’s a really nice gent! Highly recommend Selale.

The star of the show was undoubtedly the menemen – rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked with a vibrant mix of tomatoes, peppers, and eggs. Each spoonful was a burst of authentic Turkish taste. Paired with the comforting warmth of traditional Turkish tea, it was the ideal way to start the day. The atmosphere at Selale was welcoming and peaceful, making it a lovely spot to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. The food was amazing,great atmosphere and Dilara the waitress was absolutely wonderful very helpful in suggesting new options. This is one of my favourite restaurants absolutely love it here.

Toilets are so weird because all the time men are going to the women toilets in this restaurant! Because if that toilets are so dirty! Lamb soup is not delicious and prices are so high and not worth! Never visit again

Upon entering till leaving Selale the customer service has just been exceptional, the servers are friendly, warm and welcoming. The Selale special platter was delicious and enjoyable. The only thing I found strange was the price of the chips and soft drinks, very high in price for something that was not exclusive nor special. However that would not stop me from coming back haha. At the end of our dinner me and my family were served Turkish tea and baklava on the house and the baklava was just delectable! Absolutely tasty it was. I would recommend this place, family friendly, kid friendly and a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for your exceptional service Selale.

We visited Şelale Restaurant during our 3-day trip to London with my wife. From the first moment, we were very pleased with both the atmosphere and the polite and professional approach of the employees. We would especially like to thank Mr. Ahmet. He made our visit much more enjoyable with his hospitality, interest and smiling face. The cleanliness, order and general ambiance of the restaurant were quite impressive. As for the food, we had an experience far beyond our expectations. We had the opportunity to taste many flavors on the menu, but I especially recommend the Adana kebab with yoghurt. It was perfect in terms of both presentation and taste. In general, Şelale Restaurant is definitely a must-visit address for those looking for Turkish cuisine in London. I recommend it wholeheartedly. Number 10, 5 stars!

Always so welcoming and hospitable. The only shop on Green lanes that goes the extra mile. There isn’t a day I don’t order from here and I’m not given a complimentary dessert or a tea as I wait for my order. Highly recommend.

I ordered shish kebab take away with fries. i loved the food except for the fries and the sauces. The fries were kind of soggy and slimy (a little bit) The chili sauce more like a stew, i found it really gross. Also it was really tangy and wet. The best turkish chili sauce is thick and spicy. This was like tomato sauce with vegetables in it that were not pureed well. The water should be cooked off. Also the garlic sauce was really tangy as well, should be adjusted with something sweet and more fat. Please fix it because i loved everything else🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I was visiting a friend who lived in the area and she recommended we come here. The service was was quick and food tasty. We had the hummus, çaçik and kisir to start with followed by some nicely fried whitebait and a chicken shish. We had a complimentary salad with our food and later walnut baklava and tea on the house.

Very bad experience. The service was extremely slow, and there was a long delay in bringing the bread and the rest of the order. The staff didn’t seem attentive, and the overall experience was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this place for breakfast.

I am Turkish and i can confirm if you are looking for a Turkish restaurant this is the best place you could go to. Went for a family outing. The customer service was exceptional and the overall vibe was nice. Would definitely recommend the sucuk and the mixed kebab which were both great. Definitely my favourite restaurant along Harringay Green Lanes! Certainly coming back again!

called up to book a table for birthday, spole to farhead who was rude, then called back and spoke with someone else who knows me as im a regular here, so booked in for a birthday treat, booked the same table I always book for, table was gone when we arrived, and to seat in a part of the restaurant that wasn't my favourite, people walking past very distracting, the food was poor, lack of meats, wasn't waited on regular, the food was served like it has done before on a bad day, I'm really annoyed because I'm a regular Bulgarian or turkish you get treated better in terms of the food and service, there was one waiter who was Bulgarian, he was a great waiter and always looked after us but he left and it just hasn't been the same since, I spend £150 on dinner here and I'm regular so I expect to be treated properly but that's not the case, we get treated differently than others, people who work here can be really quite ignorant and rude, so after coming here so many times, I've now decided I will not be coming back and seeing I have been a loyal customer here, it's going to be the restaurants loss as that area has so many turkish restaurants it will good to finally try somewheres knew but I would have always come back to them if they had treated us right but to not keep our table and to serve us rubbish food on my a birthday is wrong, I told them no rice and yet they still put rice even doe I don't eat rice and tell them every time I have gone there, 5 times a year £750 it's your loss not mine

We went to Celebrate our nieces 1st birthday. There was more than 20 of us there. We ordered 4 family platters The food was excellent as always. The portion as always defeated us. They restaurant were very kind enough to give us some containers to take the rest of the food back. The atmosphere and service was excellent. To top of the day we were all given complimentary Turkish tea.

We’ve had an amazing experience with my friends enjoying ourselves with an amazing atmosphere lovely staff very kind and helpful with picking suitable platter for 7 people which is set 1 and still there’s plenty of food left on the plater. The prices are very suitable the food is on top of tops. I personally loved the lamb chops they were very tender juicy and cooked perfectly. Also wanted to add that there cocktails and moctails are made to perfection .In the end we’ve been served with complimentary tea and dessert. Finally, I wanted to say thank you very much to NURI and DILARA probably the best waiters out there. I definitely recommend visiting Selale one of the best restaurants in haringey. One of the underrated restaurants in my opinion. Thank you Selale for the lovely experience!!!!

Me and my friends came here to have breakfast before heading back to the Netherlands where we came from. Not only the food was really delicious, but also the athmosphere was very cozy. We had a nice talk with the waitress Dilara and she was very helpful and kind. She made sure we got everything we needed. We would definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to have a tasty meal. They have a wide menu off Turkish dishes. We would for sure like to come back here!

From the outside, the restaurant looks to be a spacious, well decorated and quality place to eat. Inside, it’s all of these things, almost. While the modern look and feel has a nice aesthetic, perhaps a few traditional touches wouldn’t have gone amiss (even if it does come across cliche). The service can’t be faulted. The team were attentive, quick and polite - a credit to the restaurant and should be praised by management. We ordered the Sharing Platter from the Breakfast menu, which cost £39.90 (at the time of writing). For this, you receive an assortment of breads, spreads, cheeses, olives, meats, two types of egg dishes and Turkish tea. The food itself was well presented and although the flavours were not outstanding, the over quality ranged from above average to good.

Amazing mixed grill is served here with freshly warm baked bread and salad to complement your meal. Portion sizes are great and is fair to the price. I will definitely be making a return visit here next time I’m in town! There is Great service here with authentic flavourful food.

Hate to be leaving this review as this was once my go-to, only Turkish restaurant I would swear by, but the last 3 times my husband and I have visited they have had no doner, even before 9pm. It is a huge shame as Nuri has wonderful service, but we have to find another regular place so we aren’t disappointed.

It was also our first visit to Green Lanes, as we were on the hunt for an authentic Turkish restaurant. After checking TikTok for recommendations, Şelale came up repeatedly, so we decided to give it a try. The food and atmosphere were exceptional, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the outstanding service provided by Miss Dilara. From the moment she warmly welcomed us and seated us, she ensured we had the best dining experience we’ve ever had. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the restaurant and expertly guided us in selecting the perfect starters and mains. To make the evening even more special, Dilara treated us to complimentary Turkish tea and baklava—a thoughtful and generous gesture. This is hands down the best Turkish restaurant I’ve visited. The food was so fresh and bursting with flavor. I’ve been raving about it to everyone since leaving, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I came over with my group of girls for a birthday dinner. We enjoyed our time very much at selale restaurant, the food was amazing along with the warm atmosphere and our waiter sina was very respectful, served and cleaned our table very nicely. The quality of the food was very fresh , I particularly enjoyed the yogurt adana, it was very fresh and tasty. I will come back here again for future events and I cannot express how much I recommend the hospitality, atmosphere and food of selale restaurant.

Grilled meats were good. However don’t do mixed rice with bulgur like other places (unless you pay extra), only serve white rice which was bland and lacked flavour. The staff were lovely and our waiter gave us free Turkish tea and a desert on the house as it was super quiet. I would go again just for the desserts(Kunefe & Tresleces)

We visited with my family, and we had a great experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, with unique tables and chairs, some designed like a garden, which added a nice touch. The service was fast, thanks to having multiple servers attending to us, which we really appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious!

We went 10 people for New year’s eve and the food, atmosphere and service were brilliant. We have been a few times and Selale never disappoints us. Tonight Adile was looking after us, so polite and patient with us all. Thank you. Will be back soon.

It is one of the best restaurants in the area, but a waiter named Nuri was very rude. The reason I am making this comment is that he refused to give me change after I paid, justifying himself by saying "I forgot".

We went there as tourists from Vienna. The owner of the restaurant took special care of us and even offered free baklava and tea. If I ever come to London again, I would definitely visit this restaurant again. Very friendly staff!

We had a table booked up for about 16 people, great staff, great atmosphere but the food isn't the best 😉 we ordered 3 x big platters around £95 each and wasn't impressed, there was about 4 pieces of lamb shish, chicken shish, ribs but mostly full of rice! For that sort of money we should have opt to ordered a meal each instead of these so called platters that every Turkish kebab restaurant has! but was a complete let down.. would eat here again but probably will go with an individual meal
