A lovely evening with friends who've never had Polish food before. What a great introduction! The ambience is very special. Amazing staff, especially Sylwia and Mariusz who served us and made us feel very welcome and comfortable and advised on the best dishes. Golonka is superb and kielbasa was also very good. I'm very fussy with barszcz but their was absolutely delicious. A great wine list and an impressive selection of vodkas. We will definitely be going back for more!

Wow, what an amazing gem of a restaurant, wonderful welcome, cosy home from home setting, mouth watering food! 5 of us shared most of the Polish starter and main courses, and each chose a different flavoured vodka to all have a try, before settling on a bottle of quince vodka to share. We can't recommend enough. Will definitely be back!!

What a charming restaurant. Mariusz is a great and informative host telling us about the history of the restaurant and guiding us with the menu. We had a fab time trying various traditional Polish dishes, beer and of course the vodka.

Awesome! We went with friends (one of whom is Polish) and had most amazing evening - food, service, all boxes ticked. Team that run the place are so pleasant you could be given for thinking that you weren't in Mayfair. Plus fantastic value for money - we shall come again!

A lucky find in Central London. The staff was amazing, very welcoming. The atmosphere was very cozy. We loved both the Mexican and Polish food options (was a cure for homesick Polish friends) and the accomponying conversation. And of course a shot of Polish vodka. The prices are reasonable for the deliciousy and location. The warmth surrounded us after a cold evening walk at the Hyde Park.

We absolutely loved this place. There's a great back-story to the place, which explains how a Polish-Mexican place came about – and why it has a French name – be sure to ask the staff. The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming, just off a delightful village-y area of Mayfair (and very near the original Curzon cinema, which is what brought us to the area). Staff were super friendly and fun. Best of all was the food. Turns out nachos really are a perfect match for sliced Polish sausage; who knew? I had a sausage with bigos and my parter had beef enchiladas. Both were excellent, especially accompanied by a few shots of flavoured vodka (homemade, I believe). I'd definitely come back and it would be a great place to bring a group of friends. Thanks to the staff for a great evening.

Very intimate little place with very authentic Polish food. Good service and the wild boar sausages were amazing.

Went there for the first time earlier this week, for a pre-birthday dinner, after previously coming across it while closed a while ago. The menu and concept intrigued us and so of course we had to give it a go. Immediately we were welcomed in and given great assistance. The staff all seemed very happy and were more than happy to joke with us and tell us about the history of the location. The food had that special home cooked appeal that some places miss out on no matter what they try. We each had a different main (i myself had the enchilada), all which were very appetising and appealing, and then to follow we had a couple desserts which left us complete. And to top it off, the restaurant gave us each a free shot of Polish vodka which was a lovely surprise. I would highly recommend coming here, no matter if you're Polish or Mexican or whatever else. If I lived in London it's certainly somewhere I would try to visit again

This is one of my favourite spots in all of London. The service is always so good and lots of fun, the food is like a cosy blanket and there is an array of vodka flavours to try.

Staying in the market area on holiday. I stopped by for pierogies, but they were full. They took my number and said they’d call. An hour and a half later I hadn’t heard from them, went downstairs and discovered they had empty tables, but she still acted like she couldn’t seat me. It was clear they had forgotten about me. So I went elsewhere. This is not a restaurant friendly to solo travelers.

I have visited this spot many times, and it never ceases to amaze me! Natalia and Mariusz are pure magic - always going an extra mile, even if you forget to reserve a table. The food? Spectacular. But it's Mariusz's and Natalia's hospitality that make this place shine! They are the secret ingredients to an awesome dining experience.

Delicious goulash 🥰 Such a homemade taste. I can't explain fully. It has that taste that is missing from any other place than when made at home. It has the homemade magic ingredient. Warm welcoming service from Sylvia with lots of laughs! Very glad to have come across this place. Will definitely be back.

This is my fav place in Sheperd Market! Super service and food. The owner, barman and waitresses form a great team that is simply unique. Selection of wines is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Stays open late when necessary…😉

A search for late night dining brought us to this charming corner in Shepherd Market where L’Autrure is located. And what followed was a wonderful meal, lovely wine and exceptional service. We will return!

Wonderful charming place in a bustling part of Mayfair, the owner Peter and his staff are the .ost warm and friendly people you will ever meet in the restaurant and pub business a place once you visit once you will never leave. One of my favourite places when I am in London.

There are no words to describe how amazing this gem spot is! A very unique restaurant located close to green park station, don’t get confused by the polish/mexican fusion. They know what to do and they serve it well! We ordered plenty of dishes to share and trust me… everything from this kitchen is just delicious! Polish pierogi, pate, sausage, barszcz… everything on point, mouthwatering. If you’re polish, trust me… you’ll feel like home ❤️ thank you so much Sylvia and Mario for looking after us, service was outstanding and spotless. Compliments to chef - Malgosia! We ended up here pretty much at random - and that’s what some call “luck”. This is a somewhat improbable “Polish-Mexican” restaurant (although primarily Polish). It is a small, lovely place, yet quite busy, serving exactly that - Polish OR Mexican meals. And both were really, REALLY good. We also had some desserts that were equally good. The restaurant was packed with Polish speakers, which, I guess, is an excellent sign too. I definitely recommend it!

I've been there a couple of times now and will definitely go back more! It's a tiny restaurant, but the atmosphere, the service and most importantly the food (I've only had the Polish dishes) are fantastic. The wine and Polish liqueur selection is also excellent. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic spot! Some of the best pierogi I've had outside of my grandma's kitchen. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The space is small in a great way - no shouting to talk, just nice and cosy for conversations.

A cosy and charming restaurant with an interesting history. Very friendly and helpful staff. I tried the Polish traditional food and it was very good. However, the dumplings were quite small and the portion could have been bigger for the price.

Lovely place to eat at. Phone to book as it's small. It's nice that it's small though then it doesn't get too loud. Romantic place. Amazing food. The meals we had were just perfect. Dessert as you can see were a good size and we're delicious. We are definitely going to go back. For those who like vodka and other drinks they have a great choice to choose from. The polish food mix with mexican it is a very good mix and nice choice of food.

A great gem! Truly delicious Polish food and great service. We had pierogi, bigos that was served with mashed and a beetroot side as well as an apple pie. The food was amazing and had a homemade feel. Very relaxing atmosphere and pretty decor.

What can I say. At the beginning I need to say the name is French, but food is defo straight from Polish kitchen. Really smell amazing and taste like my grandma dishes. Good atmosphere make that restaurant really nice, it is one of the place where you want to come back.

Had no idea what to expect from a Polish/Mexican restaurant, but the service, wine, and cheese were good and looking forward to going back for a main course.

I hope this place never changes. Affordable, delicious, a unique mix of Polish and Mexican. Wonderful barszcz. It's welcoming and special. The staff are obliging and the diners are happy and relaxed.

Truly a five star. I took my best friend (who is polish) for her birthday after hours of researching a restaurant and could not have picked a better option. The place is lovely, there is a very warm atmosphere and the service is great. The food was amazing - and felt like home to my friend (we went for pierogi)! We also tried a couple of the different polish vodka ;) recommend 100%

Stuff is super kind and friendly. Atmosphere cozy and warm. But I would not recommend to eat dumplings in that place, seems like it was bought frozen in polish supermarket, super bad quality. Additionally price for 8 small dumplings is 18£, totally not worth it.

We were on our way to a different restaurant, but switched to here because the menu looked enticing. We ordered the vegetarian burrito and bigos & mash, and we enjoyed them both!

The most amazing little place, tucked out of the way, but worth stopping in at least once. My wife and I stopped in just to see what a Polish-Mexican restaurant with a French name was like. What a gem. We both had pierogis and borscht. Unbelievably good. The seating area was small, there were 3 others in the eating area when we were there, service was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This is the one place we will make a point to return to when next we are in London.

We had a lovely dinner at l'Autre. My wife and I were looking for a place in Mayfair still open at 10pm and stumbled by chance upon l’Autre. The borscht was the finest I’ve had, the service quick and attentive (the owner replaced a fork that had fallen to the ground) and the atmosphere cosy and pleasant. Some of the other customers started a conversation across tables, with the late hour leading to a spirit of conviviality. I strongly recommend this restaurant and thank the staff for the lovely time we had.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant/wine bar. Peter (the owner) is a fantastic host. We were staying at an AirBnb just above the restaurant and spent every evening enjoying Bordeaux or Burgundy’s at L’Autre. The wine was amazing, and conversations with Peter were wonderful. While London is a fantastic city, Shepherds market and in particular L’Autre was a gem of a find and my wife and I were super lucky to have spent so many evenings there. I cannot wait to visit again.

An institution in the market. Long history, great wine list and an unusual, yet very enjoyable, combination of cuisines. You need to try it at least once.

This place feels lovely odd. It’s a Polish-Mexican restaurant, but inside it looks very French. It is very small so I would recommend to book beforehand. The food menu is not as big as the drinks menu, so it’s ideal if you are going to drink alcohol. Both these dishes were delicious

I had never tried Polish food before until my friend told me about this restaurant. I must say, I didn't regret it, delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and the staff always friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it to those who like to try different food.

We always have a meal here when we are in London. Fees like family. Like it so much that we booked the entire restaurant one Sunday evening for a group of 25 or so friends.

Unique. A Polish-Mexican bistro. Some of the food is basically Polish and some basically Mexican, but there is also some interesting fusion. Good wine too.

Fantastic place with a really atmospheric decor, friendly staff and home like food. That is if you are looking for a polish cuisine. The Mexican part of it is a distant history (back to 1970’s) and a few accents on a menu, i. e. Nachos. Nevertheless, good place for a couple or a small group to enjoy this little gem! Also, independent, not a chain, so definitely need a support to stay there for longer!
