Such a good breakfast. Everything was perfect, including the black pudding and such good value. We recommend it to everyone.

What a place! Genuine old school cafe that is run like like a well-ordered ship. Everyone knows what they are doing, and even thoe it was packed to the rafters, l had my order taken after 1min, my excellent breakfast was on the table 5 min later. The table l was sitting at was broken and even that didn't annoy me, watching this cafe run makes me feel good about the world... that's there's still people out there who care about doing their job well.

This is a greasy spoon cafe at its best. Huge traditional menu, who these days offers bubble n squeak? This place serves good honest food with a smile, we went back a few times, it was that good. Plus no long waits, food is ordered and bosh, its on the table. Great staff and a good crack. It must be good because the place is full of locals. Do yourself a favour and try this place out, you will not be dissapointed.

Oh my goodness! I am so glad that we picked The Little Portland Cafe for breakfast. My son wanted a traditional English breakfast and we picked this Cafe based on the reviews. The food was delicious, the portions were massive, and the service was fast and friendly. My husband and son had the Big Breakfast and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I tried the Porridge and it was the best I’ve ever had, and very easy in the pocket book. Highly recommend this cafe!

Really nice and local little cafe a short distance from London's busy pedestrian street. The food was quite delicious for the price, we got the full English breakfast including a coffee and paid 9 pounds per person. The atmosphere and service were top notch, but it was a very small and crowded cafe and you didn't have much space. But all in all, it can clearly be recommended

Amazingly delicious food with super great service! If you want to try an authentic English breakfast, this is really recommended. The service was super good, and the clerks were kind and enthusiastic. I asked them what they recommended and immediately took me to the counter to introduce them. The English breakfast and shepherd's pie were both delicious!

Soul food with soul filled service! Searched this place out based on a Gary Eats review on our trip from NZ. Loved every aspect of this experience, honest food cooked just right. Really tasty sausage, big mug of good coffee, and the apple/blueberry crumble with custard was the nicest thing eaten in London so far! It’s right in central London but feels like it’s down the road from home with owners warmth making this just extra special! Every day people, friendly, relaxed environment, really good food.

I had English breakfast and it was so delicious. It's not too salty for Koreans' tastes, and it makes no sense for the prices to be this high in London. I had English breakfast and black pudding, which were 8.5 and 1.5 pounds, respectively. If I stayed in London for a long time, I would come often.. There are so many menu items!! It seems like a bit of local kimbap heaven.

Class little cafe, staff are very hospitable, food is very reasonably priced and of really good quality, with a lot of options! A gem in LDN.

No sooner had I sat down then I was asked if I would like something to drink. I ordered a tea and when the lovely lady returned with my tea I asked for shepherd's pie with peas. The shepherd's pie was listed on the specials board so I had already decided on that. The place was quite busy as I expected at lunch time but that said service was still quick. The food tasted great as did the tea. I don't normally have lunch here but it was so nice to have something hot for a change. I definitely would recommend the cafe and in fact I often do!

Their attentiveness was remarkable – I was asked multiple times if everything was to my satisfaction and if I needed anything else, which made me feel genuinely cared for. If you’re looking for a fantastic breakfast experience, Little Portland Cafe is the place to go. Their combination of delicious food, warm atmosphere, and exceptional service is unbeatable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

This is a little gem of a cafe in central London behind Oxford street , not been in about 3 years and all staff remembered who I was , proper family business , please visit if your near , you’ll have the best welcome and best food at great prices x

Literally just off Regent Street, this has some good things said about it, so we deliberately chose to come for lunch. Lots of home cooked food available, I went for the chilli con carne, the portion was huge, nice bit of heat in the chilli, perfectly cooked rice, it was really good. Very, very busy, we sat outside. Amazingly, I then went in and paid for the food ! After eating it ! The service was excellent too, 8.50 for my chilli, you would have to go a long way to find something better in central London. It’s a real find.

Heard great things about this cafe but was thoroughly disappointed. It was really really packed that even the staff found it difficult to walk amongst the customers. There were only two people taking orders and it took ages for the food to arrive. The reviews I've read said that the prices were reasonable but for what I had - one very small jacket potato with just baked beans, a bit of lettuce, a small slice of tomato and cucumber plus 2 bog standard coffees... the bill came to £13.60p. Even the price of a full English breakfast was less than this.

Had pasta which was delicious and certainly filled a hole. Little furry man enjoyed his sausage too.

Bustling little place where locals have their breakfast. Fresh food and most of all, very friendly and efficient service. For 20 £ two bellies will be happily filled.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. The staff are absolutely lovely, the food is pretty good and the prices very reasonable considering you're two minutes walk from Oxford Circus. Haven't had takeaway but they have lots of regulars and are always busy which is the best recommendation you can get.

Look here, screw the hipster cafes charging 4pound for a measly bananacake slice. Come here for good food, great price. Amazing service, bossman is nicest, most considerate one u can find. Had coronation chicken sandwich, giant chunks of chicken, not too sweet. May not look as dolled up and squeaky clean as ur botoxed new age coffeeshop but i rate this place a 10/10. Dont scam urself judging on aesthetics, ur mouth needs nutrition, not an IG filter, give it a try.

One of my favourite cafes discovered in London! The service was excellent, staff were so cute and friendly. The food was so delicious, we got breakfast at first but ended up getting lunch to go for our train ride. The location is fantastic because it’s on a no car road so sitting out on the patio was so relaxing. Highly recommend!

Honestly, I couldn’t be any happier when I went to this place. Little place (a bit busy when we got there) and you know what to expect when you see a lot of people waiting to be seated, it’s gonna be good. And trust me when I said, this is a good place. Very humble, very “honest” and friendly, very good overall. The quality of the food is good, the prices are reasonable as we’re talking about central London. I mean, this is a very good place and you shouldn’t be having breakfast at pret or costa, you should be supporting locals like this one! Highly recommend it.

Charming breakfast and lunch café in a quiet alley. It has a lot of character, great sandwiches and one of the best full English breakfasts you can get in town. They have a lot of regular customers which says a lot. The staff are friendly , service is great, as is the food. Perfect, especially if you'd like to avoid the more touristy places.

I come to central London every now and then and this is the first spot I head to. You can't fault this place at all. The food is fantastic, the price is brilliant and to top it off the staff are amazing and attentive.

My partner and I were in London for a birthday getaway, and we stumbled across this little café. Got our drinks before I had a chance to sit down, and there was hardly any wait for our food. Visiting from USA and found this place on google a couple of days into my trip - first time I got back to London I went to a Weatherspoons for an all day brunch - big mistake - this place is so much better - and cheaper - £8.50 for everything you can see in the picture below - don’t bother going anywhere else for better price/food/service

Absolutely wonderful cafe, with lovely fresh food. Went in for brunch, and had the Big Breakfast, but will be returning to try the other delicious food! It was an excellent portion, warm and tasty. Hope to come back soon!

I had the pleasure of having breakfast here today - a typical English breakfast which was very good and the apple pie with pudding was delicious! The service was very nice, the place also has a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend. If I am in London again, I’ll definitely come there for breakfast.

Generous portion, wonderful service. They boxed up what I couldn't finish then and there for me to take to work and heat up later.

Looks amazing and staff were lovely but sadly we couldn't stay as there were no toilet facilities which are pretty essential at lunchtime on a day out, especially with children.
