One of my favourite places to eat in London. I am Coeliac and lactose intolerant and they make me feel so normal. Food is amazing, sparkling water on tap, love they have shrubs to drink :)

Good product and original preparations with an English touch in a place with a relaxed atmosphere and simple decoration. Good service and careful wine list. The only thing...the portions are very small for the price, and the location is unappealing, at least during the weekend.

Excellent service with an incredible wine list. The atmosphere was both trendy and warm. The venison tartare was a delicious first for me that I’d recommend to anyone.

I don't know how I have not come here before. Like all restaurants in this small group of independently styled eateries, the cooking is focused on making thoughtful and careful use of exceptional ingredients that are seasonal. Don't expect edgy concept food. It is much better than that. I came for lunch and left totally satisfied (and content). I can imagine it may get quite noisy in there, however, as there are pretty much zero soft furnishings.

Have visited Clipstone a number of times in the last couple of years - food, service location and atmosphere have all been excellent . We visited today for lunch with friends and although there was a bit of a misunderstanding about the wine we ordered , the staff dealt with it very graciously. The food was up to its normal fabulous standard - we had a lovely time . Will definitely be going back again .

Sunday lunch for 4. Delicious food. Excellent wine (but with a big mark-up). Relaxed vibe. Friendly, efficient service. A bit out of the away, but worth searching out. There are vegetarian options (not sure about vegan).

Great hidden gem. located at the corner of a quiet neighborhood, open kitchen and low key setting. they have a great wine list if you are particular about what to pair with your food they are happy to help. if you want to just have drinks and something to snack on , that's totally fine, they have a big snack list that perfect for just nibble and sip. I had crab risotto for starter, it doenst look/taste like a typical risotto but flavor is on point and balanced well. i had a hilibut for main, which is perfectly seared and topped with trout roe. there are a lot other dishes on the menu that i want to try. will come back again for more

Really great Friday night birthday supper. They looked after us so well. Great service and good food. Really interesting wine list to boot with wine from all over.

Best of my last 10-15 meals in London. Extremely delicious. We ordered 7-8 plates and shared them. This number already corresponds to 1/3 of the evening menu :) There wasn't a plate we didn't like. Risotto and papardelle were the best of the best. I ate too much. I snored a lot at night ☺️

So incredibly impressed at Clipstone and look forward to coming back soon! We enjoyed a private booking to celebrate a 30th in December, and we've never experienced service like it. So friendly, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we need. As an example, I'd moved seats after the main course and when the waitress asked if I needed a top-up I explained my glass was on the other side of the room - she offered to fetch it for me! In this climate, incredible service is one of the ways you can stand out and I love that you folks are leading the charge. Also 5 stars are very deserved for the food. Sometimes fine dining can be overcomplicated but not at Clipstone - they're still using the best ingredients in interesting ways but never pretentiously. The lamb was one of our favourites, and the bread cannot be missed. I feel like I'd be guaranteed to get a great meal here every time. Thank you for such an amazing evening!

Fantastic meal four of us had at Clipstone. Seasonal dishes in a great “local” atmosphere and with attentive. We all loved every dish and the wine, helpfully selected with server was very good. Loved the place and will be back.

A fabulous place with great food and service. I had the tongue and the venison. Couldn't resist the éclair either. The wine list is really good My poor wife is on medication so couldn't join me in the dark pink or maybe light red which was superb and interesting. The Cote Blayes was superb with the venison. Book before you visit.

I recently dined at Clipstone Restaurant and had a wonderful experience. Despite a mix-up where our main dishes were accidentally served to another table, the staff handled the situation exceptionally well. To make up for the wait, they generously offered us all appetizers and starters on the house, a gesture that truly impressed us. The food at Clipstone is a delightful discovery of new tastes. A pleasant lunch with family, but not as good as it should have been. We could see our meals stuck at the pass, long enough for them to be served warm instead of hot. It is lovely to see the open plan kitchen working, but not when you see kitchen hands mucking about with your food. In end we had to leave, just couldn't trust the food we were being served.

The food was delicious and this is a very nice spot with an open kitchen. We were treated well by the front of house but were very concerned to see one of the chefs plating food whilst licking sauce off her fingers. Our drinks were comped but really the matter is more concerning and made us feel uncomfortable. Nobody wants saliva in their food.

Lovely, friendly staff - very accommodating and quick resolution with a couple of minor mishaps. Visited with a party of four and we tried a variety of the dishes from snacks to desserts- everything was spectacular. Best meal out for a long time- I would highly recommend.

Clipstone got great reviews and we expected a better meal and experience. The service was slow, it took three asks to get a beer (guess they just forgot), and the portions were quite small. Three of us ordered the pumpkin pappardelle and it was gone in about four bites. The starters were also quite small. The whole thing took an hour and forty minutes without coffee or dessert. On the positive side, the food was tasty and the wine list is solid. Unfortunately we wouldn’t go back given all the much better options in London.

Cozy neighborhood restaurant that's easy to book on the weekend. Food was a bit mediocre, but cooked with quality produce. Nothing was surprisingly good or bad. I would only come if I'm around the area. Service was okay. There was a moment when the server was putting down cutlery, and my friend had her phone and glass near her right hand side. The server put the knife half on her phone and the fork in between the space of the phone and the glass. I'm not sure if that was necessary at all and a hygienic choice. I'm sure we wouldn't mind having the cutlery place a bit away from our right-hand side. I just found it a bit passive and agreesive and kinda laughed it off after the server left.

Great neighborhood spot in Fitzrovia. I was here this past Saturday and they graciously squeezed us in as a table of 4 despite not having reserved far in advance. Got a nice table inside at 6:30PM. Wonderfully solicitious service. I was with two friends and we basically had the whole menu. Had the olives, arancini and other snacks to start. Some well-made cocktails, a bottle of wine, all of the starters except for the soups, and some of the mains. I loved my ravioli dinner. Delicious. My friend had the deer and he loved it - I tried it and it was delicious. Shared a dessert. Thought this overall was an incredible meal in a comfortable restaurant. I'd happily return and recommend it.

Wow wow wow!!! What a fantastic lunch. We arrived at 2:30pm and left at 10pm with a few new friends to boot! As soon as we walked in we immediately felt relaxed. The team were so welcoming. The food was delicious, they had a great wine list and the cocktails were next level! We were having such a great time that we ended up ordering more cocktails after lunch and ended up chatting to the people on the next table (our new friends!). At 6:30 the team set up a new table outside and we kept talking and drinking into the night. They even provided a few complimentary nibbles to keep us going! It was one of the nicest and most unexpectedly fun lunches I’ve had in a long time. The team really made the experience what it was, they all worked so well together. Thanks guys, we will definitely be back!

Clipstone has a lovely neighborhood feel. We had an excellent meal. Unpretentious with friendly knowledgeable service and beautifully prepared and presented creative food choices. We had a table close to the open kitchen which was interesting. There are also tables on the pavement outside which are nice. Happy to recommend Clipstone.

The service was top class as you would expect from a resteraunt of this price in an affluent area. The food was reasonable.

Really pleasant lunch with family members. Interesting dishes for all courses, including for the coeliac guest. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. This was our second visit in 12 months and will return in the future.

Love this little neighbourhood restaurant. I don’t come here often enough. Great food and not too pricey for the quality. Everything tasted great except the croquettes and the rillette which were just not to our taste. Loved the Ray wings and the scallops! We had a table for two outside which was just a tad too small for our plates and drinks and water. Service was friendly and the transfer to a counter seat inside after our time limit was up was well managed.

My first visit to this restaurant. Smallish, modern, bright dining area. Tables fairly closely situated but not unreasonable. Intimate some might say. Staff knowledgeable about the food, friendly and professional. Service excellent. Food is very good quality, tastey modern European. The food lived up to the complimemtary on line reviews. Very enjoyable. Fresh and beautifully cooked. I had a lovely home made lemonade but maybe a couple of other non alcoholic options might have been nice. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Perfect restaurant. The scale (intimate but not stuffy), the team (friendly and professional), the food (seasonal and delicious). Not fancy, but polished and everything done in good taste.

Can't fault the service or the food, although the bottoni dish was on the small side. Let down by a neighbouring diner (who seemed to be a regular) thinking it was acceptable to lift his buttocks and audibly pass wind on several occassions. Luckily we were finishing up and left fairly promptly.

When you are given an uncomfortable table you would expect the staff to do what they can to make things better… But here it’s the opposite they rather find all the excuses in the world not to give you a better table, when the restaurant is empty and you booked 1 week in advance. And when we complained, we noticed the staff and the cookers where conspiring against us in the kitchen, which forced us to leave by fear that they would spit in our plates ! A restaurant to really avoid unless you like to be poorly seated, with a disrespectful staff.

Really cute interior, great atmosphere, date night low lit vibes with lots of hustle and bustle. The food was yummy, but pretty expensive for small portions. And sadly I wasn’t blown away by the choices of red wine by the glass. Lovely service though, I would go back but might wait for an update to the menu.

Visited this fabulous little restaurant in Fitzrovia in West London last night, very much understated as a "neighbourhood" restaurant, as the food was exceptional. Fantastic food, great service and good ambiance, with the extra benefit of the ultimate general manager and host, Will Davis!

We were very impressed on our first visit here: excellent food, which at £89 for one shared arancini starter, a vegetarian pasta, a cod dish, a carrot side dish, a shared dessert mousse (all delicious), and one beer seemed not at all unreasonable for the quality of the food. Service was exemplary, efficient and amiable without being pushy (and all the more so for our having been slotted in without reservations on the understanding that the table would be needed 90 minutes later). We would certainly return here on future trips to the area.

I had a perfect lunch in this restaurant! I am gluten-free and they had gluten-free bread as well as many gluten-free options! The service was absolutely lovely and the food was delicious, well presented and perfectly cooked! We will come back for sure!

Service was attentive, but the food was a disaster. The white pork was very tough (one piece impossible to cut), and the accompanying green whatever was repulsive. A side dish of carrots was barely edible, undercooked and covered with an unidentifiable crunchy mix. We came away with an "Emperor's New Clothes" feeling, as the restaurant was busy, with people blithely munching away on a travesty of food. Diner beware!

I've been wanting to come here for a while but was disappointed with the food - it's decent enough but nothing special, especially for the price point. Between the two of us, we shared the whipped cod's roe with radish, pate maison for starters (both ok), cheese and mushroom agnolotti (tasty but smaller portion size for £23) and the lamb chops (two small chops with lots of fat which could have been rendered properly - overpriced at £29). For dessert, we got the pear and walnut mille feuille which can be missed. Staff were low key yet polite.

I went there today with a terrible stomach ache, i came out of there fit and fine, finally after 1 week in london, i was able to eat healthy! the Italian guy was perfect in everything! congratulations guys!

Everything I ate, and that includes samples of others’ choices, was absolutely divine. I couldn’t believe that such modest ingredients could taste so good. Wine perfect. Decided to finish with some cheese which was a mistake. Two very dull rather similar ( one soft, one hard) cheeses both almost completely devoid of flavour. Not by any means enough to put me off visiting again, but disappointing.

A great cosy little place for teams....the staff were excellent and service was great too. They looked after our team, provided a mocktail option for me...even when I asked if one of the dishes contained alcohol, they did one just for our table without it. That's service at another level.

My friends took me out for my birthday to this gem. Such warm service. Delicious food and we enjoyed a long dinner. To top it up the restaurant game a card and a special bottle of olive oil! It was perfect. It's the care and attention that is rare to find these days. Will go back very soon. Thank you to the team at Clipstone.
