What a memorable experience. We went on a Sunday evening to watch their house band, with a New Orleans sound. Soaking up the atmosphere, eating great food (they cater well for vegetarians) and listening to high quality music....it doesn't get better than that!

Great music venue with a decent audience. Not the most knowledgable audience, especially the subscription people, which does d extract from the experience as they are the least enthusiastic but in the seats directly in front of the performer. But great acoustics and every seat is good. We didn't eat, but what we saw was definitely overpriced. The bar was meeh. Plonk wine for premier price.

Went to the late late show. Seats are distributed randomly, though loosely first come first served. Incredibly hectic, somewhat difficult to grab the attention of a server to place your orders, but they're organized and will get to you eventually! Music is incredible. Drinks are good. A couple things to note: (1) the restrooms are down some very narrow and steep stairs; (2) phone signals were next to zero inside so it was hard to call a ride prior to leaving the premises

Such a great.and unique place in London, doesn't matter if you are a fan of jazz or not, this is a must go experience. You feel like a gangster from casino or goodfellas movie, sitting at the table with little red lamps. You don't get it anywhere else.

Been so many times down the years and it is a credit to everyone involved that in a fast changing world this club manages to stay not just relevant, but classy and contemporary all at the same time. You can see that even the performers know that playing at Ronnie’s is a very special honour and this comes through in their performances.

My partner has been before and his mom 50 years ago. We were estatic to take her there as we were visiting for the week and she hadn’t been in decades. We figured it would be a lovely surprise and treat. There’s no denying the history making musicians that have played here and we expected this wonderful evening of music. Unfortunately the best part was the food because we left not even halfway through this “bands” performance. We watched the Dave Douglas Gifts Trio with Camila Meza & Kate Gentile on Feb 6th. It was a bloody racket and we couldn’t have been more disappointed. The band was unable to harmonize and the guy was almost creepy along with his two younger female band mates. They were playing their own instruments, individually. It was nothing like a band that was able to jive together. We were shocked that we paid for an expensive dinner and lackluster entertainment. A 400 £ night only to leave early. Shocking.

Great sound, which given it's a jazz club is essential really. We saw Anthony Joseph on the evening we went and he was absolutely incredible. The staff and the venue work like a well oiled machine. The drinks prices are essentially central London prices so no surprise there.

I last saw an incredible 4-man performance at the Late Late Show. Table service can be a little slow because they are very personable and attentive. If you're really thirsty, I sometimes order drinks at the bar, a little faster when there isn't a queue. Cocktails were fantastic, wine list is extensive. Seats were comfortable, sound was perfect, lighting was on point. You walk into a different world and come out a different person every time.

Walking into Ronnie Scott’s is like entering into a cabaret scene of a movie set. The venue is plush and intimate - as you would expect from this world renowned jazz club. Waiting staff was efficient and friendly. And the music? - top notch. Omar was in his element when he performed that evening. We had the most enjoyable time! If you are still wondering whether it’s worth spending an evening at Ronnie Scott’s, do yourself a favour and just do it!

If you have no special interest in the musician, better go to any other club. This is obviously the most famous Jazz club in London and where all the big names go when they go to the British capital, and this in my opinion is the only reason to go. The design of the venue, rather large for a jazz club, is so absurd that half the audience is lucky if they can see the musicians' heads. The entire place is designed in such a way that 50 select people chosen after paying a supplement can see perfectly while the remaining 200 have to dodge heads to see something. They have a cheaper entrance "with restricted view", which should be extended to practically the entire premises. As a cherry on top, a cloud of waiters spends the performances slowly walking through the audience and covering up what little you see, to see if they pick up a glass from a table. They must be afraid that they will be stolen, because I can't think of any other explanation. The drinks have normal prices in these places, they are not overpriced, but the food is expensive for the quality of what I have tried the times I have gone. If you are not particularly interested in seeing the specific musician performing, 606 or any of the three Pizzaexpress locations are much better than this one, nicer, closer to the musicians, better vision, much more connection and better atmosphere, and also cheaper.

Every visit to Ronnie is always a blast! I've attended the "Late Late Show hosted by Vula & Friends" and was truly impressed by the vibrant atmosphere. The performers—especially the talented ladies—bring energy and personality to every act, whether they're singing Beyoncé hits or Motown classics. The service here is excellent. Once you're in, you even have the option to upgrade your seating for a closer view of the stage, which I always take advantage of. The sound system is generally great, with only the occasional glitch that doesn't take away from the overall experience. On the downside, the queue management outside the venue could be improved. It's best to have a reservation or arrive early, as you might end up waiting quite a while. Sometimes the door staff seem a bit selective about who gets in, which can be frustrating if you've been waiting patiently. Overall, it's a fun and memorable experience with just a few minor hiccups.

Wish I could say the jazz was good, didn't get to hear it thanks to the queue management system – or lack thereof. Disclaimer, we were first time visitors and for context this was for a Late Late Show, and the website didn't have reservations open and said there would be tickets at the door. Arrived an hour before the doors open time, waited outside in the winter for an hour and 15 minutes after the door opening time, only to be told they're full. I thought one of their guys was holding a counter? I'm sure they're good, just only go if you have a reservation!

One of a kind place in London - really considering getting a membership here as it seems worth it! Exceptional, curated events and sets on a weekly basis. Come well in advance of the starting time (45 mins - 1 hour), so that you can get good seating once inside. Great music and superb spot for an intimate night if you are looking to impress! Music can get loud (though not a problem at all, it's great), but just worth mentioning as speaking even to someone next to you can be tricky. I went with my brother who is not a jazz fan at all, (I am hence the visit) and he loved it I was a little disappointed where were sat because it was in the second row on the upper floor that frames the lower area, but they do show you what the priority seat plan is before you book, so my bad for not reading it properly or making a more specific request. Disappointed that the food menu didn't include the snacks as mentioned on your website particularly as we had emailed you in advance to enquire as to what would be available. Also I believe I had thw worst seat in the house as my seat had its back to the stage and because of the close proximity of the seat next to me, it was difficult to move my chair. They couldn't possibly fit any more tables in there... the place is too crowded! I never in my life eaten food so close to strangers, literally elbow to elbow. The food was average and overpriced for what ot was. My husband had chewy steak and I had a fish which was ok. Service is non existing yet already included in your bill. Music was not a jazz and it was painful to listen to.. There was like 10 people in the band and it was just pure chaos. If you value comfort, good food and service then dont go to this place. TLDR: Absolutely atrocious security staff, who clearly have a long history of being physically and verbally abusive (based on some of the other reviews here). Management takes no notice of complaints from customers – they are only concerned about protecting their own backs. Full Review: My partner was pushed aggressively down the stairs by a bouncer without any reason. When I said I will be ringing up the next day to make a complaint, the two bouncers on duty laughed in our faces and said “please do”. However, when I took my phone camera out to get a photo of the bouncer’s ID, he immediately turned it around so I couldn’t see the ID (see photo - shows the bouncer's badge turned around). His other bouncer colleague then started verbally abusing me by repeatedly telling me I am “totally idiot” and I must “have some mental problem” (see video). I wrote to make a complaint the following day – including the video attached here and other evidence – and the box office team recognised the seriousness of the issue straight away and were courteous enough to apologise. However, Managing Director Fred Nash wrote back a few hours later saying that he disputed our account (despite us having provided clear evidence) along with a bunch of other generic nonsense such as they "take matters like this seriously" and pride themselves "on being a safe space". Much more outrageously, however, the Managing Director also tried to allege in his email response to me that it was us who had harassed their staff instead, not the other way round! We were beyond shocked at this blatant attempt by management to protect their own backs instead of taking accountability for their staff. I had always been under the impression that Ronnie Scott’s was a fairly well-regarded institution, so I went on to read through some more reviews on this page to see if other customers had had similar experiences with the security staff. I was stunned to find several reviews detailing experiences almost identical to ours – including anecdotes where customers have rung up to complain repeatedly and no action has been taken. In particular I would like to draw attention to Roisin Aherne's complaint from 12 months ago (please filter by 1 star reviews and you can see it too) as – like me – she has included photos. Roisin mentions that she and her friends were “grabbed” and pushed “aggressively down the stairs […] with no explanation” by a security staff member who then swore at them. From Roisin’s photos, it is very clear that the person who pushed her and her friends was the same bouncer who pushed my partner. This man is therefore clearly a repeat offender, management have now received multiple complaints against him, with evidence – but they continue to refuse to take any action and victim blame instead. Toxic internal culture like this is a disgrace to the entertainment industry and put the whole hospitality industry in a bad light, when really there are plenty of respectable places who treat customers with the respect they deserve. If you have read this review, I would request that you take your custom elsewhere to more deserving businesses.
