We went to the Monarch Theatre experience. Honestly, it was a little bit lame, the compare/host should really be an actor who can be enthusiastic and interactive, rather than what I assume is a member of staff from the Iceberg Lounge who has just memorised a script. The food all comes out at the same time and has obviously been prepared and sat on the pass for too long as every course that should've been hot was cold (one that I couldn't even eat, cold venison anyone?). The night we went everything was running late so we didn't get out until gone midnight and were tired and totally over it. The worst for me however has been the customer service I've experienced since. We were promised a "welcome drink in the bar" as part of the package. So when we arrived at the stated time and were taken to the bar and offered a cocktail, we assumed this was our welcome drink. However at the end of the night we were slapped with a £40 bill for those drinks. With it being so late and just wanting to get home, plus being in a small room with only a handful of people and feeling uncomfortable, we didn't complain, paid and left. From the next day until today I have sent a total of four emails and phoned five times, each call ending with the promise of a manager getting back to me. I have been completely fobbed off and ignored. So in short, the experience is a complete rip off, you pay an awful lot for standard cold food and a mediocre experience and get tricked into buying pricey cocktails at the bar. Don't waste your money, go to one of the many amazing Michelin restaurants where you'll be treated respectfully, served delicious food and pay a lot less for the privilege!

Such an amazing venue, great ambience and decor the Batman theme makes it super unique and special. The food and drinks here are excellent, the staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for anyone as its family friendly but also suited for dates and solo dinners. Love it, I’ll be back soon!

We went to The Monarch Theatre, an immersive dining experience like no other...!! The Monarch Theatre is a private room set aside from the Iceberg lounge with floor to ceiling LED interactive walls. On entering Park Row, you arrive in a room that looks like an old estate study where you are greeting and whisked away down a grand staircase to the room beneth. We started with a cocktail in the iceberg lounge, which was lovely. The theme of the whole space is DC's Batman. However, it is unobtrusive in the theme rather than pictures of the capeed crusisader on every wall. If you are a fan of Batman, you will see plenty of 'nods' towards the vilans and storyline of the comics/ films. As part of the Monarch theatre, you are taken to a private room for a canape and cocktail and a swift briefing. Then, two grand doors are opened to reveal one long spacious table with the pre mentioned LED walls. You are seated in large luxuiourious chairs. An introduction to what will happen follows. What then follows is a 10.course tasting menu with an actor introducing a narrative to each course. The dining experience and the narrative is enhanced by themed visuals on the walls and from the table itself. The meal we had used each batman villan as the inspiration to the flavour and composition of each dish. We had pared wines which were delicious. The food itself was intriguing, fun, and delicious. Service was incorporated with the theme and was really engaging. We had a really amazing time and stayed for drinks in the iceberg lounge afterwards. The experience itself was expensive, but if you are looking for something different, fun, and you are a fan of the DC universe, then this is a must. Do not expect a michelin dining experience, expect high quality food and service with an immersive, fun interactive and thought-provoking night out.

When we walked into the restaurant it was dead. When I mean dead it had maybe 4 table occupied. Other than that it was completely empty. Some random disco music was blaring on the speakers, given the environment it would have been more fitting to have played some soft jazz in lieu of the live band environment. There was absolutely zero atmosphere. When the food came it was lacklustre. The menus don’t describe what you’re actually going to receive. When you recieve it, it’s either bland, or overpowered with sauce. I received one dish with an array of sauces with no explanation as to what was in them. When asked, one of the waiting staff described it containing wasabi whilst another described it completely differently. I’ve had a great experience in the past with a better atmosphere and live music and excellent service. But this time it was dead on arrival. None of that original experience was here I felt duped. Sadly overpriced and unatmospheric. What you see on instagram is sadly not what you get here.

We had been to Park Row before in June 2023 and had a wonderful time, so booked again for their “immersive experience” also detailed in their press release in Restaurant dated 10 November 2023. We were celebrating our twin daughters’ 21st and our son’s 18th birthdays (which are very close together in December and January respectively) - so we booked for Saturday 27th January 2024. Sadly there was no live music- only background music, no theatrical type staff making the frozen popcorn, and the kiss from a rose dessert was not anything like the amazing one we had last June. We were also told it was not possible to make any variations on cocktails- ie a raspberry mojito, instead of a classic, again this had been available at our last visit). When we ordered food there was no lobster gyoza.. The food we did have was very good, however, but we can go to many places in London for good Japanese food. We were told by staff as January was a quiet time, that’s why there was no music etc, so it was just a giant empty japanese restaurant! and you can't put yourself out there as 'Michelin' standard if you can't even make a variation to a cocktail! In my opinion if you can’t operate to your usual standard in January, then you may aswell just close for the whole month! I wasn’t informed when I booked that all the things that made Park Row special and provide the immersive experience they brag about were not available. It was a huge disappointment as we were celebrating 21st and 18th Birthdays. I’d like to add that the staff were really nice and tried their best, bringing a little cake and candle for my daughters and son, but we were so disappointed with the whole experience- and it IS supposed to be an experience according to their own PR! I looked on my phone to see if we could go anywhere else for the remainder of the evening that would be more exciting, but everywhere I could think of was fully booked. We decided to make the most of it and had a reasonably good night- because of the nice guy that looked after our table, but we won’t go back! Definitely not worth the almost £900 bill. It would be nice if someone from Park Row actually responded to this message, otherwise one could be forgiven for thinking they just don't care they are not interested in the customer experience!

I've eaten here a few times over the years when it was Bubba Gump so thought it was a safe bet for a birthday celebration meal before a night at the theatre with my husband. How wrong I was! There was no great welcome with lots of standing around in a cavernous space at the top of the stairs waiting for someone to eventually come to the desk. Then it was not clear if it was a queue or a crowd as the people who got attended to were in no particular order. We had booked and noted it was for a birthday. Maybe I should have mentioned that the birthday person was well into middle age and then we wouldn't have been seated in the midst of a lot of families with young children more with an atmosphere more like a fast food 'restaurant'. We asked to move but the only other place was a table looking onto an open area where the staff congregated to chat and serve drinks. It didn't look too clean and was an ugly view. The food was okay but very overpriced for what it was. The main courses were all over £20 and the cocktails were £10. I'd have expected a lot nicer surrounding and better food for this even in central London. I had the New Orleans Shrimp which were tasty but there was hardly any sauce so was very dry and I couldn't eat the rice without sauce. I will not be returning.
