A group of friends all met up and stayed at the Park Manor Hotel for three nights. First impressions were good, helpful polite staff and small but clean and tidy rooms... All were happy with their rooms... Met at the bar, sensible prices for drinks, great service, flexible seating, happy for us to move furniture around so we could all sit around multiple tables together... We booked dinner bed and breakfast and were all very pleasantly surprised by the wide choice on the menu. Very efficient staff took our starter and main course choices in the bar and called us into the restaurant where we very efficiently served by a well trained, happy and helpful team, who all worked hard to meet everyone's needs... Food was outstanding... Really Excellent... Breakfast super too, huge choice, cooked how you wished to have it served... If you plan to stay, definitely consider booking the food option, you will be delighted. In summary: A great little hotel with highly motivated and happy staff serving sumptuous food at a reasonable price in a good location next to the park and 5 minutes walk to the beach...

We came here for a friend’s wedding. The food was lovely and the service was great too. Olivia was particularly helpful with our drinks which she carried over to our table as my husband is on crutches. A great evening all round and would not hesitate to make a return visit.

Used a base for a concert. Rooms are dated but clean and tidy. Breakfast was horrendous. Staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered and full English was probably the poorest quality we've ever had. Guests constantly having to ask for fruit juices and milk to be topped up. Swearing heard from the kitchen. Really let down what was otherwise a nice stay. Would stay again but would book room only.

Paid £36 per night room only, amazing value. Single room had every facility you need. Hairdryer, fan and heater, wardrobe, TV, comfortable bed, good shower, free WiFi, warm room. Bed made and tea/coffee, biscuits replenished each day. Enjoyed Spa facilities, free towels for this. Free parking. I didn't eat here so can't comment on food. Fabulous location. Peaches and cream cafe, 5 min walk down hill from hotel great morning coffee, afternoon ice-cream and cakes with outdoor sea view. Clock cafe always a must for a trip to Scarborough. Hideout cafe worth a visit. Walked the cinder path to Whitby, had a fabulous smoked kipper lunch at Monks haven cafe then caught bus back (Whitby a bit busy for me). Walked Cleveland way to Filey caught train back. Will definitely be returning to this lovely hotel.

This was our second time using the hotel and it’s restaurant, we returned for our wedding anniversary meal here because last year the meal was exceptional, and yet again the evening meal provided was exceptional, plus the excellent and friendly staff makes this a must visit restaurant, I travelled 80 miles just for a meal here, which must say a lot. Service and food is excellent, breakfast is very good, let’s hope the standards remain so high, thank you for our lovely anniversary meal. Plus a special thanks to Alison and Hannah for excellent service in the bar and restaurant.

This was my second stay at the Park Manor (an excellent hotel which I have also reviewed). This trip was however the first time I've eaten in. Breakfast's at Park Manor are excellent and Dinner is no exception. As you would expect, the same excellent and friendly service. There is plenty of choice on the menu along with 'specials' each day. The food is simply very good and very reasonably priced. Like the hotel itself, highly recommended. PS.... It's nice to have after dinner coffee served in the comfort of the lounge too.

Made a late reservation for 2 couples sceptical to be accommodated on a Saturday evening. The front of house staff were lovely and so welcoming. We used the in house spa and really enjoyed the Jacuzzi, steam room and swimming pool. The rooms were immaculately clean and equipped with everything you need. I requested an iron and within 2 minutes the porter brought it to our room. Couldn't recommend enough.

Was a bit shocked by the size of the bathroom when we first entered our room as it was tiny, two people couldn't go in together and you had to shut the door to use the sink or the loo, but things got much better....Hotel was clean and well looked after, staff were very pleasant and always willing to help in any way. We only had breakfasts at the hotel as we thought the main menu a little dear, breakfast had a good choice and was always very tasty and cooked well, served on hot plates which was a refreshing change, all too often you get a decent breakfast that's served on a cold or warm plate and the whole thing is cold before you get time to eat it. Public areas were all very nice and our bedroom was lovely, all well looked after and very clean. The pool was an extra you don't normally find at a small hotel and it was very enjoyable to take advantage of this facility along with the jacuzzi and sauna, towels provided by the hotel too.Games room was good fun where we enjoyed pool, table football and wiff waff (table tennis).Apart from the initial bathroom size shock, everything else at the hotel was very good and we had an excellent first visit to Scarborough and would definitely recommend this hotel and also use it again should we visit Scarborough in the future.

Nothing outstanding here, last order 8pm. felt very regimented, rather than an evening out in a restaurant. Surroundings nice, food nice. Staff nice.Again, I think I visited a different restaurant than the previous reviewers. Stayed overnight, not impressed with breakfast. Dry scrambled egg, jug of orange juice was empty when I arrived for breakfast, and at the end of my breakfast, I had to ask for a glass. Other people either had the alternative, or after it was filled, went to get a glass. Staff nice.

We stayed at the hotel and ate here twice. The menu is a set menu with 5 courses so not for a light evening meal. I loved the chicken goujons and sea bass. There was plenty of choice and a children's menu- pretty standard children's menu but they were great in adding and removing bits to please my 8 year old nephew. Because this is a hotel restaurant its hit and miss whether there will be any atmosphere and you need to be sat down to eat before 7pm so may not suit all. For us - it was perfect and excellent quality. The staff were great- so friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend.

There was a good choice of evening meal and the breakfasts in the morning included a buffet area for cereals, fruit juices and a selection of fruits. Any combination of cooked breakfast was available. The service was quick, efficient and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The only criticism I had, and its only a small one was the floor boards of the room above creaked and did disturb my sleep. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi were a bonus and our granddaughter loved it. We came here for Sunday lunch after seeing it advertised outside. I had liver pate and my husband had breaded prawns and chilli sauce for starters, then we both had yorkshire pudding with onion gravy, and then we had the roast beef, absolutely delicious, with seasonal vegatables, just enough for the two of us, not over much and not too little! Dessert was displayed at a separate table and you went to pick which ever you wanted and it was served to you at your table, then it was coffee and mints + homemade mince pies in the lounge area. The whole ambience was fantastic, no rush, take your time, and have a drink at the bar as well before and after the meal. Went to this restaurant on Sunday with a church group, so there were quite a lot of us. The food was delicious. I think this may have been the best Sunday lunch I have had in a restaurant. I had a beautiful mushroom and spring onion soup for starter which was out of this world! Then came a Yorkshire pudding with gravy as the next course, which was a blast from the past. I am not a great lover of Yorkshire puddings, but I ate it all, I may be converted. Then I had the roast beef dinner - I have got to say the roast potatoes were gorgeous. We were then led to the Table of Puddings, or should I say Table of Dreams! I had a white chocolate cheesecake yum and the portion was so generous. The staff were very efficient and friendly, just how they should be. Just wish I lived in the locality, I would be there with my husband most Sundays. Would highly recommend.

From the moment we walked in, and were made to feel special and very welcome, all the way through the excellent meal, the Park Manor did us very proud. The Sunday lunch, at a very reasonable price of £16.25 each, is really something to write home about. My Pate, served with a lovely side salad garnish, and oat cakes, was just beautiful. Then the fabulous, traditionally served (on its own and with onion gravy) second course of Yorkshire Pudding that I would have been proud to cook, as it was exactly what a Yorkshire Pudding should be - a cloud of deliciousness with a top and a bottom and no middle (just as it should be), lead on to mouth meltingly tender Road Beef and dishes of vegetables that again were properly cooked (these days so often the vegetable are still virtually raw) - and finally, the piece de resistance of the Park Manor, - a visit to the groaingly gorgeous dessert table. Spoiled for choice by the amazing number of fabulously presented desserts, I chose Crème Caramel, which was just perfect. Coffee was served in the lounge, and beautiful, comfortable room with lots of seating to accommodate all those who had enjoyed a memorable lunch. No wonder the Park Manor is the local favourite venue for those special occasions - it never fails to delight.
