The cafe in the park is a public service yet this company has a card only policy no cash. The vast majority of customers are elderly or very young people who are out enjoying the park and stop for a snack, they discriminate against people for having cash only , disgusting service. Boycott any company forcing you to pay with a credit card

Terrible service with no one taking responsibility for selling cake which the manager said was vegan and then on 2 subsequent visits being told the polenta cake is in fact not vegan. The last time I enquired I was told by the person serving me , ‘ I wasn’t working that day’. The least they could have done was offered a refund and/or a complimentary coffee.

I haven't been here for a while so was interested to see if any changes. Rather happier and engaged staff than I remember which is a plus and the coffee and toastie were excellent. Yes it's more expensive than a Kensal cafe but it's always busy and this is Queen's Park.

Overpriced run down cafe right in the middle of the park. Never improves. Never. Seems badly run and incredibly old fashioned. Please bring in a decent bakery or restaurant offering decent food/drinks etc. In the summer pls bring ice cream flavours that you actually advertise on the boards outside.

Terribly expensive, with surly uncommunicative staff. This place used to be buzzing with well priced home made cakes, great kids meals, very decent fare for light meals and decent sized and delicious drinks .. not the present offering of thimblesful of expensive coffee. This is a caff in a public park with ordinary folk visiting who want a friendly, affordable, unpretentious menu.

Went at 3:50, while the worker was preparing food he says they are closed. I ask what time he said 4 although it was not 4 yet. Very rude about it all

New management has taken over the cafe. Foods ok but the outside area has pigeons now running amok. Food needs to be cleared quicker.

I didn’t know that this place existed but my wife did. Our little one needed a bite so we got her a ham and cheese croissant plus an orange juice. And a large slice of banana bread. (^_^) It did take a while for the croissant to be prepared but it was very good. It does pay off to wait a little longer. The coffees were good and had good flavour. The service seemed straightforward and friendly. I have noticed more and more places accepting credit cards only. A few are due to the number of robberies in an area but I am not sure if this is their reason? There was a kind notice explaining that exact cash may be accepted. Totally fine with card only.

Just a normal coffee run whilst working, but what took my note was the lovely lady working behind the counter who got me into vegan pain au chocolats and brightened up an otherwise boring afternoon! Thanks for that and maybe you have converted me! Will be back!

I was glad to see the cafe reopened, however I was unlucky enough to be served twice by one the rudest waitress I have ever met - no smile, no please, no thank you ... at £2.80 a scoop of ice cream, it would be nice to have a friendly attitude to go with it, same for the coffee.

After changing hands recently and starting well, this place has gone downhill very quickly. Overpriced for the ridiculously small portions (1 slice of toast with jam, but no butter for £3.00), totally disorganised in terms of ordering your food or drink and the quality of what's on offer has deteriorated. All of this within months. They know they have a captive audience, but it seems the owners are hell-bent on alienating those who will happily spend £5-£15 just so they can eat in a nice park and feel the fresh air. Eventually, we'll all bugger off to the competition on the Chamberlayne or Salusbury Road

Tiny portions and a surely remark when we mentioned it. Not sure that is they way to win customers especially in a park for locals. I will wait till it changes hands again and see if they have a better attitude to customers

I used to enjoy the odd treat of a breakfast here, but since the original owners left last year it hasn't been the same. It's a prime location in a busy park, so should be great. It seems to have changed hands a couple of times in the last few months and no one seems to have struck the winning formula. It was always a bit pricey, hence the occasional visit only, but was usually worth it. However, on this occasion my friend and I got the tiniest cappuccinos I've ever seen, a tiny piece of extremely tough sourdough toast with a small egg and a smear of 'extra' avocado. All this for £9 each. Until they up their game a bit, I would go to the cafes on Salusbury Road or to the Sunday farmer's market which has great food stalls. Such a shame and not the fault of the staff who were very pleasant.

This cafe is ok but nothing special. They do a decent cup of tea and a very ordinary hot chocolate. The reason why I give them a poor rating is that they are just too expensive for what they are serving.

Absolutely disgusting! Nothing like it used to be. Poor, poor customer service, rude and incompetent. Hugely overpriced for a plate of fried potatoes! Avoid!

Such kind warm staff. Spilt a drink by mistake and all they cared about was making me another drink rather than the mess I’d made. Didn’t embarrass me any further. Lovely coffee, always lovely staff.

Visited as a family with 2 young children Positives Gails offers a bakery choice in willesden green, when there is an absence of alternatives. We eat regularly from there, chosing from their range of baked goods and coffees, as in Willesden Green, where else can we go? Their sourdough bread is nice enough, as are their range of bakeries, and coffee isn’t bad. Negatives 1) no cash business 2) The company are fine with having one person on a laptop treating it like a home office nursing a cold coffee all day on what should be a table for 4. So it can often be a challenge to find anywhere to sit if you want to eat in and try their cooked selections. I contacted them, and said, hey, on sundays god said to have a day of rest, so how about a no laptop day so people can get a seat who might want to eat your range of hot foods. Company response was that they don’t care, which is a terrible attitude. We now go further afield more often than not.
