Turned up at 22:45 to be told it was closed when the venue is shutting at midnight. We use this bar a lot over the years Absolutely disgraceful

Thanks for doing your best to get me + wheelchair into your lovely bar/restaurant, and sorry for any havoc caused! There is a 3" step between main building and garden area and a small ramp would really help - I should have brought one. We all loved the food - another surprise - even the bread was special. And you have Martini Rosso - brilliant! The jazz guitar completed one of the best dining experiences I've had in B&H.

Very nice and relaxing place to visit. Food is perfect and staff are very friendly. Plenty choices of wines and the prices are really good. Will definitely be going back.

Great food great atmosphere staff a tad wooden

Was walking by venue and it looked really lovely inside so we popped in for a drink. The garden was stunning and the service was incredible, our waitress Maria (we didn't get her last name) was attentative and really lovely. Will definitely be coming back for her service alone (the cocktails are also 10/10) Definitely one of the nicest experiences we have had in hove

Fantastic food and wonderful live music

The Staff are friendly, Emily, the Manager, is very professional and friendly. The atmosphere is ok. They are improving on the taste of their cocktails. The toilets aren't quite up to scratch, hence why I don't rate this place 5 stars, but the rest is good. I reccomend it.

Unassuming frontage in a terrace in the middle of Hove. I took my mum (82) for an early lunch. Charming service in an excellent interior which includes a partly open (but can be closed) back room which is excellent for sitting outside and (if you like) having a smoke. We didn't order much but the calmari were as good as I have ever had and the chilli prawns simply delicious...Granny had chicken thighs with mushrooms and garlic - declared to be very fine indeed. We will be back.

Lovely local bar, excellent food and service, we just help a summer works night here and they managed to fit 15 of us on a table in the garden area and looked after us all really well. Highly recommend for food and drinks.

Very nice atmosphere. Much larger inside than it appears. Great, freshly prepared food and an extensive, quality wine list as you would expect. Prices very reasonable and we enjoyed every minute. Maybe a few more vegetarian options would make this, from my point of view a 10/10 venue.

First to be met with 3 rude and unattentive staff who would rather clear an empty table than serve paying customers (mistake 1), then a waitress would rather fan out menus delightfully on the table behind us and then chat with locals (I am one) rather than serving us (mistake 2), then when we asked for another glass of wine, even though there was supposedly table service we noticed that the attentive staff had left them at the bar (mistake 3), when I attempted to provide feedback to the staff I have never been met with such rude and entitled behaviour (mistake 4), I would encourage your staff to perhaps go on customer service training if you do not wish to haemorage customers. For someone who has frequented your establishment for 10 years I am dissapointed with your staff and the total lack of service. I am unsure how long you will last with your current staff. But all the best with the staff trainin

This place must have new owners . Their service was shocking and so so rude . We went for quick drink we had to ask a table to sit at and were told to stand in corridor while taken to a table never happened , then had to ask another waiter can we sit here he shouted yes , no waiter came I went to order at bar as thought this was the case , the. Snappy girl said its table service , wine came . Which was too cold ( red wine ) we asked for another small glass ( timed on my phone 12 mins ) I asked after 8 mins waiter was cleaning putting glasses up he snapped and said he’s a bit busy ! Finally we got up to leave no table service at all . Young under 25 locals were served and given table service around us , we paid the bill and were told here’s your other wine I said nope taken too long and shocking service then the rude waiter said I’ve been rude what the hell ! DO NOT NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE OVER 25 AND IF YOU WANT TO HAVE GOOD SERVICE, YEARS AGO THIS PLACE WAS LOVELY GREAT SERVICE AND GOOD WINE . SHAME IT WAS SHOCKING STAFF SO RUDE AND WILL NOT BE GOING BACK HERE AND WE ARE LOCALS !!

Be aware they won’t let you know their deal! I ordered my usual then realised it was on offer but they wouldn’t do it because you have to order two at the same time would have been nice of the waitress would have let me know

I think that the portion size has reduced since last visit

Husband &I came here for lunch last week. Whilst staff were pleasant enough ,extremely slow and had to be asked everything! Didn't realise there was a garden until I used the loos. Our bill was nearer £100 including service charge which I should have cancelled. Bottle of prosecco, 2 small dishes of prawns, 4 each,bread, thin small lamb chops(husband enjoyed) and sweet&sour spare ribs which were disgusting and sauce didn't taste homemade,couldn't eat. I informed server, response was sorry, nothing else was offered. We had ordered a portion of chips but these were cancelled whilst eating prawns and the response was 'I don't know if we can depends what mood the chef is in', I had to pushed for them to check! We were then ignored till eventually I went up to bar to ask to pay. We didn't have coffee and they don't do puds of any description. We were told chef cooks everything from scratch, I would seriously question tbis. maybe just use as a watering hole and eat if peckish.Many excellent places near by for much better service and food. Such a let down would never recommend

This is a very friendly bar/restaurant with a lovely terrace out the back. Dog friendly. Food is good and I think excellent if you eat meat - a bit limited for vegetarians. Well priced drinks

We just popped in for a glass of wine before dinner. They squeezed us in despite no reservation, I had a very nice glass of PICPOUL DE PINET, my husband took a G&T. But very cute place and the food coming out looked good too.

Friendly, welcoming and good value. Popped in here for a pre-lunch drink, staff were great, sat outside in a lovely sun deck area.

Stylish bar in the middle of Hove. Looks small on the outside but a very suave looking rear garden covered area.

I was quite pleasantly surprised when I arrived at this venue to find an extensive outdoor space. Was a warm spring evening and I got a table outside but in a sheltered space. We drank some nice wine and had a couple of small plates. Recommend the scallops. Not cheap but very good. The service was pleasant if not a little casual.

Really good food! Had the sliders, salmon croquettes and chips… all perfect. The team were so accommodating and polite. How it should be. We sat in the garden which is a great sun trap!

Wow what can I say love this place for many night's out. We often pop in for a nice glass of wine 🍷 after work too. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. They now know what drinks I have and offer them to us as soon as we arrive in the bar which makes me smile . At weekends the bar is always busy but Emily the Manager and Jay does their utmost to find you a table if available. I learnt to book in advance especially on weekends. The atmosphere is buzzing with people enjoying themselves. The food is good we generally love to have a selection of dishes , picky bits like the cheese board and garlic bread olives etc to name a few. They cater for all tastes in food and drinks.I like the cocktails and sometimes nice to try the different ones . Last time I visited the bar I saw how awful some of the customers spoke to the staff which was not deserved or nice to witness . They work hard to please the people who are there. Hence why I am writing this revie due to the rude people who expect too much from others in a customer service role . I have worked hospitality and run a business myself and know 12 hours on your feet is no joke . .All the staff work hard to please everyone so just to say you're all appreciated whenever myself and my friends visit this beautiful wine bar. WOW WOW WOW! What amazing staff! Such attention to detail, lovely vibe. Food and drinks did not disappoint. Really enjoyed our time here. Would recommend for families in the day and couples/girls nights in the evening.

Tried to get in at 6.30pm with friend visiting but was told waiting list so no chance before 8pm! I don't think it looked like it was worth the wait!

Food and 99% of the staff were amazing, the manager unfortunately let the whole evening down. She is rude, unprofessional with no people or communication skills and the venue should think about replacing her if they want to keep their business afloat as we won’t be returning or advising anyone to come in the future. A lot of tables were saying the same thing as the evening went on. An absolute shame as the venue is great.

I was advised to visit here as they have a covered garden that you can smoke at and it has heaters and food and drinks. The food was great the prawn tempura was lovely big prawns the batter wasn't Japanese but it was still well done, the squid was lovely and meatballs were big in size. The olives nice and tasty, the stuffed peppers were to my friends liking and we had the house prosecco which was easy to drink. A friend who didn't drink enjoyed the alcohol free beer. The staff were kind enough to open the canopy for us to enjoy a cigar but it started to rain so they told us to stop so I took a star off but otherwise I highly recommend here. There was smashed glass on the floor also which caused my friend to have an injury which actually resulted in needing stitches. The staff didn’t even say sorry for this. They became very rude and hostile and began to shout obscenities at members of our party. The staff were awful in handling this, as the perpetrators were “regulars”, we were treated as though we were the perpetrators, despite spending hundreds of pounds in the restuarant and also doing nothing wrong. The lady manager (blonde clip in pony tail) continued to make the situation worse, by further causing a scene calling us disgusting and horrendous in front of all other customers. When we left, she came outside in the street to shout and swear down the road at us whilst we were walking away! We were completely in shock. It’s really sad as it had the potentional to be a lovely dinner setting. Other tables also left following this incident and shared with us how awful the service and customer service shown to us was. It totally ruined the night of everyone in our group. Some even leaving to go home crying and scared. Disgusting place EDIT - Please note their reply is a lie. The broken glass was reported and there was no abusive behaviour. The security even agreed they did not know why they had been called out. “Erratic” is a word I find extremely rude. I do enjoy their garden and we always go there to grab a drink with a group of friends where we can enjoy our drink and have a nice conversation. Lovely atmosphere in the garden and they have heaters in there, so you don't feel cold. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

Great wine and amazing atmosphere. The candles and the lighting inside felt very cozy and homely. We was unsure about what white wine to pick and our waitress Raiza recommended the New Zealand Sav blanc as she said it was her favourite and then after offered us to have a taster. We really enjoyed. She gave us a warm smile and great service. Will definitely come back.

Regularly attend here, and it's always great. Since the refurbishment, it is definitely one of the best places in Hove. The food is absolutely amazing And they do a fabulous rosè blush! Great value for money.

I have been going to paris wine bar since it has opened and until today I have had the best service ever until tonight when I met the new bar manager well what can I say to a person with no personality no customer service , the last bar manager knew his customers to a t and he even knew our drink without asking us. She told us to wait outside the bar for a table and after 5 minute's she told us to vacate the table as it was reserved well in all my years going there outside tables are never reserved, she is not suited for a popular bar in Hove with regular clients shame she works there one regular client lost

Great service and atmosphere- we were really pleased with the wines. There was a little mix up where we weren't sure which wine was in which glass and that was corrected within seconds by two more glasses brought to us! Great vibe all around.

I went to Paris Wine Bar this week for the first time for some drinks and a bite to each with a couple of friends. The food took 1hr to come out baring in mind there was hardly anyone in the restaurant and the food we ordered was mainly cold food like - greek salad, oysters etc. When we paid the bill we decided that the service wasn’t worth paying when they asked for a £16 service charge. Furthermore I left a pair of gloves on the seat in the outside area, we were the last ones to leave on Tuesday evening, so the women cleaning the table would have seen them. I called them the next day and they denied that they had any gloves in the their lost property? I rang again today after retracing my steps making sure they couldn’t have been anywhere else, they proceeded to act as though they hadn’t seen any black leather Chanel gloves. I am not happy as I know in my heart they were left exactly where I was sat, someone who works there has taken them and it is very sad that they have no shame or guilt in lying straight to my face! Very very poor customer service!!!

Visited with my husband and was really looking forward to trying somewhere new, However, upon arrival I found it to be one big disappointment. The staff were not able to find our booking and we had booked a week in advance. Another staff member was asked to show us to a table and we followed her towards the back of the bar. We were shown to our table which was part of the outside area albeit covered with a retractable canopy. It was absolutely freezing!! Although there were heaters they were not on high enough and the area we were sitting at had no heaters. The outside temperature was minus one, Also I was very unhappy about sitting in this area a one customer was actually smoking a cigarette and 4 other customers were smoking their vapes. I dont actually want to be sitting within other peoples plumes of smoke. It seemed that staff turn a blind eye to regulars. This is wrong as the canopy was closed so we had to endure their smoke…. Disgusting!! We waited more than 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken so decided to order some tapas at the same time so didn’t have to wait. Fortunately wine was lovely but food was average. Under cooked chips, over cooked calamari, mackerel pate and mushrooms were ok. We literally couldn’t wait to order a taxi, pay the bill and get out of there and warm up,

Reserved a table, excellent idea as it was very busy. Good choice of wines at reasonable prices. Outside seating area has been refurbished and looks amazing. Waitress service brilliant but the loos could do with being checked regularly. Overall an excellent start to the night. Thank you Paris, see you again soon.

Love this place… when you can get in. Often Friday and Saturday nights not v welcoming as so busy, so most of the time turned away. Of course this is expected for the area, but would be nice if they made some sort of effort. A bit of care would be nice.

Rude manager, we waited a long time to be served our drinks so we asked to remove the £10 service charge as it’s not mandatory, we would rather tip separate cash anyway, the young man who was serving us was really lovely and had to inform the manager, the manager came over and told us that’s not true when we explained why we didn’t want to pay the charge. He also said listen young man you done this before here to one of our friends and told us not to come back. After coming here for years from my childhood to now this is really sad as some members of staff have been super nice but he let them all down, have had really good times here and came quite a lot but it seemed really personal and he was so rude we won’t be returning

A very nice bar with great Tapas

The garden in this place is nice but such a let down whilst I was there was the staff. There’s a male manager there which is rude. Staff drinking behind the bar, left over cocktails that have been made. The food is OK but overpriced. Many nicer places in hove that have nice staff rather than them just chitchatting behind the bar and not serving customers. Disappointed!

This place is easy to miss on your way past on church road. Although it's called 'Paris Wine Bar' it actually does excellent french-style tapas. Lovely decor and area out back with a roof which opens up. Great lighting which gives off a super relaxed vibe. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We ordered a large selection of the tapas and it was all good pawns, meatballs, salad, fishcakes and ratatouille. I have attached a recent photo of the menu. The place was also really clean throughout including the toilet. We will be back and I would recommend. Enjoy!

The rear garden outdoor space has been refurbished AGAIN and it is flipping lovely! Lovely service too and very reasonable prices considering its location. Highly recommended!

I've only recently discovered the Paris Wine Bar, and I'm sad that I didn't sooner. The garden area is divine, and the service is quick and efficient. The food is also really tasty – admittedly I've only tried the chips, but they lived up to expectations. The staff were very approachable, keen to help, and fun to talk to. I'd certainly recommend this place! It is slightly expensive and with no student discount, so would be best suited for young professionals and older.

Visited this lovely wine bar many times and it's great for couples, friends and families. Really friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Today we tried the tapas for first time and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and we will certainly be back.
