Paramo Lounge in Solihull

This is a big favourite of ours but it just takes so long for the food to come. Lovely atmosphere and nice vibe, food is excellent when it comes, nice and fresh, it just seems to take ages.

On ordering at lunchtime today we were advised there was a 25 minute wait for food, which we thought was fine but we actually waited 45 minutes and even then we had asked twice about our order. We wouldn’t go again.

One of our favourite places to go, both had tapas which was amazing definitely recommend the lamb koftas, staff are always amazing friendly and make you feel welcome, food is great price and tastes amazing.

Second time we have been here and some of the beer has been dreadful. A few weeks ago we called in for a lager, ordered a pint and a half, tasted awful, took it back and got a refund without question. No other draught lagers available. They were having trouble with their pipes apparently. We went elsewhere. Called in again tonight, 1 pint of Hofmeiester and a half of Cruz Campo. The Hofmeiester was awful again. Cruz Campo was good. What is happening there? Maybe go elsewhere for beer. Never had this problem at the Desco Lounge in Shirley.

One of our favourite places to eat, quick service excellent food brilliant friendly staff great value for money chilled atmosphere in a quirky surroundings we love it here.

I enjoyed my snack and was very impressed with the young man named James. I noticed his interaction with other customers and fellow members of staff. He is a credit to the company and I shall visit with friends again.

Ordered a steak i cut a slice to taste it was cold i pointed this out to the staff they took it away , brought it back after they reheated the same steak and brought it back on a side plate no salad or fries again i pointed this out to them . Spoilt my lunch i left and had my dessert next in macdonalds

As always fab friendly service, fab food, cool indoors, great atmosphere, my daughter had the bang bang cauliflower noodles, wow!! Tasted amazing

Went for dinner with a friend. The food was amazing and didn't have to wait long for it either. The staff were really lovely, particularly James who we challenged with making cocktails - it was his first time mixing but he did a fabulous job and they tasted amazing! There is a wide range of food that caters for different dietary requirements and is all very reasonably priced. You definitely get what you pay for here and I would highly recommend everyone to visit!

Great atmosphere, food and excellent friendly service from James. James would get a 5* from us! Only reason not giving 5 stars is all of the ladies toilets had faulty loo roll dispensers

We called in on Thursday evening , very polite,friendly greeting. Service was excellent from the 2 Gentleman. Food was great and atmosphere very chilled. Restaurant was clean and tidy but aside from the good food it was the friendly service that made the night.

Lovely place only had cake and drink. All good but in time was there dirty crocks sat on our table and didn't see anyone wipe tables down. The staff worked really hard and were polite but hygiene is paramount in an eating place. Come on guys this needs to take priority.

Disappointingly average. I eat quite regularly with my two little kids (5 and 3) at another Lounge and thought we’d eat here. I’ve always had excellent food at the Lounge we visit often and had hoped for the same excellent service and food here too. I was somewhat disappointed. My kids had what they always eat, beans on toast for the 5 year old and pizza for the 3. The beans on toast was appalling for the price. One small piece of toast and what appeared to be three spoons of beans. I was just glad I’d ordered some fries so she had those too. The portion size was awful! And as for the pizza, it was hardly cooked. There were gratings of cheese which hadn’t been melted so it was more like cheese on bread. I can imagine you’re thinking why not just complain? Well, if we hadn’t been waiting for 45 minutes I would’ve done. I was trying my hardest to keep my two little ones settled when they were hungry for 45 minutes. I wasn’t impressed. I appreciated that they were busy, but 45 minutes for uncooked pizza and three spoons of beans?! Not good. However, to balance this out I had the Aubergine flatbread which was really delicious. Perhaps the kitchen staff could approach their children’s menu with as much care and attention as their main menu. When I sent feedback after my visit I was warranted a short apology and nothing further, no suggestion of looking into my recommendations or sending my feedback to the kitchen staff. I won’t be back to this lounge.

Had Lunch with family Thursday, very busy which was good to see, excellent service & food was fantastic, nice to see the regular staff obvs great place to work! This is a test venue we love it here the place we always meet!

Came in for a cocktail on a Saturday night, no Prosecco on Valentines weekend andthe Mojito Cocktail was probably the worst I have ever tasted. Other than that the place looked quite nice but drinks were useless!!!

Have been here many times for a glass of wine usually early on a Saturday night. The staff are very lazy and rude. We only go as lack of places to go locally for a decent priced glass/bottle. I asked twice to turn the music down which was blasting, they said they had but it actually sounded louder and they were smirking at me from the bar. Always have to ask for them to clear and wipe table while the 3 of them are stood behind the bar doing nothing. On one occasion someone had dropped a bag of chips outside the front door which i had to step over to get in the front door. I told two staff members and no one went to clean it up despite no customers and 2 hours later still nothing. Not surprised theres no customers - Prospero in Stratford have nice young efficient staff. Won't be going to Paramo Solihull again.

Excellent service & food, love coming here as menu suits all palates, staff are friendly , hardworking and helpful, chefs work so hard, such a busy venue that always delivers, great venue relaxing & qurkie.

Love this place one of the reasons I go here is that They’re dog friendly Went Christmas Eve It was so frustrating that dogs are only allowed in entrance part And not up the steps The entrance part was really busy with people without dogs up the steps it was quiet If you value My custom can you do something about this like only having dog friendly tables or abolishing this stupid rule that dogs can’t go up steps

We had our works Christmas party here recently and it was very, very good. We were a large party and all had the Christmas menu. The food was really good (pork belly or various pies, lovely mash and veg) and the service also couldn't be faulted. A fair few cocktails were also sampled and I think they all went down rather well. A big thank you to all.

I went here for a coffee just after 9:00am one weekday. I was the only customer but the first thing I noticed was the unpleasant smell. I went to sit down and there was food on the floor and dog hair on the seats. Needless to say I left and went somewhere else. I was surprised as the “Lounge” in Liverpool, where I live, is always excellent.

Breakfast visit. Slightly put off by worker who unlocked the door once they’d finished smoking outside. Coffee was good.as were eggs but my muffin was a bit limp and could have been toasted longer. Service was pleasant and food arrived quickly.

Food was fast & staff friendly would recommend & revisit I had cheese & bacon burger my partner had tapas which was nice & included pataas bravas & meat balls

I come here to play games on my laptop and get some grub while I’m at it. The staff are chilled and really friendly, happy to accommodate families, kids, groups having a drink and nerds on their laptops. I don’t ever feel like I’m being rushed out the door to get the next table in. Food is okay - no fault of the kitchen staff (it’s always hot, cooked properly etc.) and the prices are what is to be expected. It’s just a nice, comfy and friendly place to get something to eat and chill. 👌

Had the best gluten free breakfast here ever. In fact their gluten free menu is superb. Would 100% recommend here. The staff extremely friendly, food fantastic and lovely atmosphere.

It is a real pleasure to visit this venue as the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We go mainly for coffee but have breakfast as an occasional treat. Food is excellent, well cooked and well presented. All the safety requirements are in place and it is a pleasure to visit mainly down to the staff I think.

After Borris decided to change our rules and restrict us to family only, I came out for a meal with my mom and dad.She ordered the new dish from the menu, the beef brisket.Upon arrival her eyes lit up and she said that she thought it was presented really lovely and outdid her expectations. She licked her bowl clean and made the effort to mention to the chef how much she enjoyed it. Rosie and Emma were wonderful with their attentive service and really looked after us making us feel at home.Overall really enjoyed their night and 100% recommend to anyone to come in and check it out.

Came here to meet someone and it is a lovely little independent coffee shop. All the latest safety measures are in place and the app is easy to download to order food and drinks. Lovely coffee shop on the high street.

Comfy place and very busy when we called. No need to book ahead, quickish turnover of tables and place is surprisingly big inside. Easy checkin with the new NHS COVID QR. Quick table service from friendly staff. Ordering is made easy by the QR on the table, take a picture and the menu comes up, no need to load the app. Just click your choices and use Apple Pay to pay. Nice wine choices, the Rioja is good and great value at just £21. Simple food choices, cooked well and tasty. No fuss here, great for a quick pit stop or evening drinks.

Stopped by this morning for a drink before the shops opened. We had a hot chocolate and a latte and two slices of toast. Staff were friendly and great measures in place for Covid. Drinks were great and toast came quickly. It was easy to order via the app. Always have a comfortable and enjoyable visit to Paramo Lounge

Today I popped into Paramo with some friends and had a great pudding (churros); one of the reasons I am a regular customer there, the staff are bubbly, friendly, and bang on with their service! Thank you to Dan and Owen for a lovely experience as per usual, as anybody can guess; I will be returning soon and continue to recommend Paramo to my family and friends!

This restaurant bar came recommended by friends. Pleasant decor. Good idea to have a smartphone based app to order drinks and meal. You can sit at your table and order directly in your own time instead of waiting for someone to attend to your table. Payment is taken in advance of food arriving directly from the app.Food arrived quickly at the table.Food was nice but nothing special. There are better chains and independent restaurants to choose from in Solihull.Problems started when we realised that one meal didn’t have the extras we ordered and paid for. Staff took the meal back to the chef who added the ingredients and returned the dish. We then noticed that another member of the group had a meal where the main ingredient was not present at all (no quinoa in a quinoa salad!!) When asked about this, the staff returned the dish, only to return with no apologies. The reason was that the chef had run out of the ingredient. I asked why we hadn’t been told about this or offered another option instead of sending an incomplete dish (...hoping we didn’t notice?) but the staff or chef didn’t answer this. They reluctantly offered some other extra ingredients to top up the dish, but didn’t seem to understand that a missing main ingredient should have been highlighted at the time when the meal was being prepared and we should have been offered an alternative dish!All in all probably not going to return given there are better places to eat for the same cost, with far better service. Also not impressed with the lack of honesty in preparing the meal especially on a quiet evening time. If you do go, be sure to check your meals before you start to ensure you actually received what you were promised.

Tom and Emily were accommodating and lovely and made my first visit to Solihull memorable. I will make sure I return on my next visit! During the Covid 19 pandemic they have made me feel safe and secure with their service and hospitality and I can’t wait to return !

First time back in a lounge since before lockdown and it was great to be back! I was debating wether to go for a meal with family as I haven't left the house much due to having health problems. I was convinced into going to Paramo Lounge and I'm so glad I went! They made me feel at ease and safe. The staff were all amazing. Emma bought over some colouring for the little ones, she was so friendly and asked how my day had been which put a smile on my face. Tables were clean and the food was to die for! I had the Mexican superbowl and my husband had bang bang chicken. Both tasted amazing. The kids options are great aswell. We will definitely be back next week. Thankyou Paramo!

Nice decor and ambience inside. The burrito filling was tasty but the wrap itself was very hard and chewy which let it down unfortunately. Chicken sandwich was nice, chips were good, ‘house slaw’ also let them down - no flavour and was full of dry kale and cabbage..

A very nice meal was had by my family and I. The staff were great and speedy service. Will definitely return.

After a week in hospital with anaphylaxis I was nervous to go out for my first food since that fateful night. We arrived and were greeted with kindness. Not only did Emily and Louise go above and beyond checking ingredients, changing orders for me to be able to eat but I was able to enjoy my dinner as well! For anyone will allergies I would 100% recommend this team. Thank you!

I'm always a fan of the Lounges, thanks to the chilled atmososphere, friendly staff, wide menu, great food and drinks ... the list goes on. The staff at the Paramo Lounge are doing a fantastic job with service in the wake of Covid-19, with web ordering, well spaced tables and informative staff. I felt safe and cared for! I popped in for brunch and had a delicious Lounge Eggs with bacon - highly recommend. Service was speedy and smiley! I was also very fortunate that they returned a jacket to me that I'd left earlier that week!! All in all, well worthy of five stars!!

My wife and I visited the Paramo lounge on a Tuesday night and were met at the door by Manager Owen. A lovely bloke, really helpful and friendly. He helped us set up the new online ordering system which was easy to use and very effective.Tapas starters were fantastic, a thrill of different tastes in each bite. I then had the chicken burger which was stacked high with chicken, bacon and other goodies. My wife had the Bang Bang chicken, which she loved.The choice of drinks was excellent. After a beer, we had a few glasses of the New Zealand Sauvignon Balance which was delicious.For dessert we tried the brownie with ice cream which I highly recommend. My wife had the berry compote dessert which she loved so much, asked me to order another, but then felt greedy, so changed her mind.Throughout, we were visited by many members of staff who were all very friendly and attentive and made interesting conversation. It made for a really brilliant night. And it's dig friendly which makes it more accessible to dog lovers.Great decor throughout, comfortable seating and a good state of hygiene, making us feel protected from Covid.I highly recommend this place. If you try it, you won't be disappointed. Well done Owen and staff and good luck for the future

Came here for a drink with friends after dinner - we all ordered espresso martinis and they were disgusting, we reported this to the staff and were told that they didn’t have the right ingredients so ‘they just thought they’d try with what they had’ - it was gross, why didn’t they just say they didn’t have the ingredients and offer an alternative?! And when we asked for a refund they didn’t seem bothered that we’d found out that they’d ‘just tried’ to make up a drink

Popped in tonight after dreadful service at another restaurant but the place was so dead which is such a shame service is spot on, told our food would only be two more minutes (we hadn’t been waiting that long) and bang on two minutes later it arrived and tasted amazing fresh and just the way I like my burger will definitely be back for more soon

The Paramo vibe is always chilled, yet warm because of the excellent, welcoming staff and the relaxing, ambience. Food top notch - tasty, timely and very good value. Relaxed place to enjoy lunchtime catch-up with family, friends/work colleagues, in the evening after work or weekends. Of the many fine places in Solihull to enjoy a meal or drink with family or friends, Paramo ought to be high on people’s list.

We only popped in here for cake & drinks and to escape the weather, but in the knowledge that when you visit a "lounge" you can be reasonably certain that you will meet efficient hard working staff delivering good service; and be treated to interesting and intriguing wall art in a calm and bohemian atmosphere all was good. We didn't have the dog with us but note this establishment is dog friendly.

Visited here mid afternoon on Thursday 6th Feb. I was struggling with the menu a bit as I am dairy intolerant. I could’ve chosen something from the vegan menu but was reluctant as I eat meat and do not like meat alternatives. I went to order at the bar and asked about a couple of choices to see if they could be modified. The chef happened to be there and offered to cook me some chicken that had not been ‘buttermilked’ yet. The result was a very tasty chicken and bacon burger with vegan mayonnaise and suitable sides. The chef (sorry I don’t know the lady’s name) must’ve been very diligent in the food preparation to prevent cross contamination as I would’ve found out very quickly if she hadn’t been. They obviously take allergies and food intolerances very seriously. Our waiter Tom was also very attentive to the situation. My daughter is a regular visitor. It was my first visit but won’t be my last. We really enjoyed our meals and can’t recommend it enough, especially for anyone with dietary needs.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We chose here because of the Vegan menu they offer. As it was Tapas Tuesday I chose 3 tapas, my husband chose the vegan hotdog. We decided to share our meals so the hotdog was cut in half. The half that was given to me wasn't good. The bread roll was rock hard, I would use the phrase "freezer burnt". My husband's half was fine. When the staff member did a check back we pointed this out. He made no offer to replace it, just made lots of excuses as to why it would be like that. As nothing but excuses was happening we told him it was fine. We basically wanted to finish our meal while it was still warm enough to enjoy. Then we discovered that when you order 3 tapas on Tapas Tuesday you should be offered a glass of wine. We weren't. We emailed their Head Office and a week later still no response. We think their customer service skills need looked at.

Came across this place by accident and decided to stay for early dinner, lovely atmosphere friendly service fab decor good choice of wines and beers. Had a shared plate of tapas v good, mains were good but portions a little small, coleslaw on the side was about a teaspoon full ??Our dog was made v welcome so thank you for a lovely few hours we will def return

Yet again excellent food and service and total understanding of gluten free food for Coeliacs. Eating out for my daughter with coeliac disease can be stressful but it makes a refreshing change when the person serving you has full knowledge and understanding. We are confident the food is served without cross contamination. Thank you Dan if only all staff at restaurants were like you! Thank you and well done to Lounges for getting it right for Coeliacs. Thank you - much appreciated.

Not been before and a nice place this. So few nice bars and restaurants in Solihull, this is one that I’ll come back to. This bar/restaurant has a good vibe and atmos. It’s quite a big place, deceptively so but still cosy with large comfy sofas and chairs, warm lighting gives it a nice feel. We only had a few drinks but the menu looked good. We had a bottle of Malbec, which was excellent and reasonably priced too (a lot cheaper than we paid at the restaurant we ate at earlier).Friendly chirpy service from the young crew. Recommend, give it a go.

Staff were great and very attentive. They were kept busy and always seemed very efficient. Asked about allergies when ordering which was a great touch! Food was delicious! Had the veggie breakfast and it was insane. The sweet corn and cheddar bites were incredible. My mum had the lounge eggs and said it was brilliant too. Lovely and warm. Cannot wait to return.

Whilst hunting for something different we almost accidentally discovered this fabulous little bar. When we say little, its actually quite large as it goes back a way, but with settees and cosy corners, it's more like a mix of Friends and Cheers cafe/bar, serving the best tapas that we have had for ages. 3 dishes each is enough, washed down with a gorgeous rioja. Top class.

I went with my friend this afternoon , weather was really bad and we was looking for a nice place to eat something. Food was amazing and staff really friendly, special mention to Dan, you are brilliant ✨👌🏼

We had walked out of another Solihull restaurant, so were pleased to find the Paramo Lounge.

We visited on a Saturday evening and were happy to find a table. There was a lovely atmosphere with candles on the tables and good music but not so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation. We ordered halloumi burger and a veggie burger with garlic bread and onion rings. The food was very reasonably priced, served quickly by lovely staff and absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend.

We ordered a coffee and a breakfast muffin each. We waited 45 minuets for our food however a member of staff did come over and apologise and gave us a free drink. The food came out cold so we was quite dissapointed.

Well done once again to the staff of Paramo, they have made an excellent effort to contribute to a greatly needed cause. Lovely cakes supplied by the staff and once again made a charismatic atmosphere for this great day. Jacqui (writer)

Visited the other day and received the warmest welcome and it continued throughout the entire visit. I find that if you get a good greeting when walking into a restaurant it certainly sets the tone. Amazing ambience for the evening, nice music, lots of candles & a clean, vibrant building.

I spend a lot of time across the lounges I’m the midlands (mainly Verdo, Renato and Quinto). My friend and I decided to go to the Solihull ‘Paramo’ lounge to try a new venue. As my friend is vegan we have to make sure there are vegan options and we enjoy the menu at the lounges so this is usually always a good choice. When her food arrived she questioned if it was vegan as it looked a bit suspicious. She had ordered the beyond burger. As she looked at it wondering, an employee overheard and reassured her that it was in fact the vegan burger as he eats it all the time so she carried on and it was fine.

Very chilled out place, excellent service. It can get very busy but the staff never seem rushed or stressed. One of the best in Solihull, they also have free water for kids.

Visited with my daughter for lunch. Had visited a month earlier with family and were a bit disappointed by the slow service which meant my daughter had to leave before her food arrived in order to get to work. Mentioned this to Owen who couldn’t have been more helpful. He apologised profusely and asked my daughter to get in touch with him and he would arrange a complimentary meal. We returned and treated ourselves to a cocktail each (which were absolutely amazing - definitely want to go back and test out the others) and a meal. Food was lovely and the staff were all very friendly & helpful. Service was prompt. Would highly recommend. They clearly care about their customers / reputation and as such their customer service is first class. I will definitely return.

I’ve been here several times for coffee and absolutely love the decor (reclaimed vintage) and atmosphere of here.

My wife and I popped in for breakfast. Our previous experience had been very good. This time I had the large breakfast and my wife a breakfast muffin. Didn't mind the 25 minute or so wait. However, when we got the food we found it to be stone cold. Having sent it back it was returned a few minutes later having been reheated. Have you ever tasted reheated fried eggs! Overall incredibly poor value particularly when you consider my breakfast with coffee was £14.15. I have given it two stars only because we fond the staff to be very pleasant. Can't recommend I'm afraid

The intention was to go for lunch but as soon as we walked in and looked around we walked out. Maybe we didn't give this place a chance but it looked dirty. The first thing that I noticed was the amount of food on the floor and the number of tables that had not been cleared or indeed cleaned. There may have been a shortage of staff.... I didn't stay to ask. If I am paying to have lunch out hygiene is a top priority as well as good food. Sorry but I will take an awful lot of convincing to eat here.

I found myself here every evening on a 3 day business trip, this lounge was simply the most inviting and friendly lounge/cafe in solihull and they serve great vegan food! The staff were extremely friendly throughout, always making sure i was satisfied. Just to top it off, i left some newly purchased clothes here, and after ringing them saying i was on a train home, they sent the clothes to me free of charge. Wonderful group of people in a quaint lounge. Highly Highly recommend!

Came here early friday evening, it was pouring with rain outside so was lovely to walk in to this place to relaxing music and a nice atmosphere with candles lit. Not to mention going to the bar to find out cocktails were 2 for £9.50 between 5pm and 7pm. Cocktails were amaaaaazing as well.

Had a lovely trip to the lounge for breakfast with a couple of mates. I really like the decor and the staff are very professional and happy to chat. Breakfast for good and reasonable value, perhaps would have liked a bit more food. Will visit again.

I may have a choice of hotels to have a business lunch but most of the time I will choose to go to Paramo.

Great service. Nice hot drinks. Very friendly towards my dog. There are dog treats inside, along with free fruit for kids. Lovely touch. Very funky decor and brilliant menu for when I decide to eat there. Lots of gluten free options too.

I've visited here on quite a few occasions. I like the decor and atmosphere and my daughter who has special needs, seems to always enjoy it here and playing with the toys.

We love paramo lounge and always get exceptional service regardless of who serves us. Nigel, Maria and Tom in particular should get special mention as their customer service is immaculate.

Quiet place midweek but lovely decor and food, very relaxed and friendly. A little grubby which is a shame, wiped a chair as it looked dirty with a baby wipe and it came off black as did my wife’s chair and then my 3 year olds.

A unique menu and worth a visit. We went for a quick lunch but think it is more for an evening when you can relax and spend time savouring the food.

Came here to my works sister lounge with family and friends. Tried the new Bhangra balti lamb burger! Omgggggg absolutely delicious! Thank you lots 💖 the picture shows I couldn't wait to tuck in for a photo

Get. In. My. Belly. This hands down was one of the nicest burger meals I think I've ever had. Deeelishussss!! Jules took care of us, she's so friendly and attentive. I'm coming back for one soon!

Great menu, great food, great service. Lots of options for vegan gf etc, great decor and feel. I recommend.

We came for lunch on Good Friday expecting Paramo Lounge to be packed, but there were plenty of tables, food was good, service excellent, prices reasonable.

Visited the lounge in solihull and ordered the fish cake Salad, highly recommended this dish, service from Chris was great and the server Kristina was warm and welcoming, I will definitely visit again.

Love this place food and staff are excellent so helpful and friendly👍Been diffrent times of the day and always leave happy.

Me and my partner have walked past this restaurant a few times and thought we would try it, we only wanted a light lunch so decided to order x2 chicken& chipotle panini’s At around £8 each. When they arrived at our table we opened them up to see there was absolutely no filling of chicken, we called one of the waitress’ over and asked if this was a normal size portion to which she replied “no sorry let me go and change that for you” after waiting another 10 minutes for our food, we received what could only be described as the same plate as before, there was no difference to the panini at all, see picture below.

Went for breakfast this morning and took our daughter, we have never eaten here and the option of a gluten free breakfast was a real plus as I really don’t know anywhere in Solihull that offers a separate GF menu. Ordering was quick and easy at the bar. I did notice you only get a free hot drink with your breakfast mon-fri? I think if you are spending nearly £30 on 3 breakies then offer the drink every day. Breakie arrived
