Eaten in Indian restaurants since 1968 this is one of the worst

Restaurant was very quiet on a Friday evening. Very good service and lovely meal with the exception of a brinjal bahji (aubergine) side dish which was very chewy and inedible. Hence 4, not 5 stars. We will be back. NB this restaurant is a BYO which I didn't realise until we got there.

First time to this restaurant for me and my partner and food was amazing stuff was very welcoming and friendly, we find it hard to find a good Indian and this one didn’t disappoint will definitely be back.

Got there and the place stunk of BO get seated and partner brother asked for a medium rare steak we then had to explain what it was for it to then come out and be like chewing gum took ages for food to arrive for it to take horrible the staff made us feel uncomfortable paradise more like crap would of been better off having a sandwich and the prices for what they serve is very expensive.

Food was ok but... if you're looking for paradise this might not be for you. Lights too bright, music from a cheap radio too loud, a view straight into some sort of prep area, back bar was a stack of glasses so just not a comfortable environment and couldn't wait to get out. A few small changes could raise this place considerably.

Never again. First time used for takeaway. Arrived over 1 hour late, having to phone and ask where order was. Food cold. Chicken awful, very rubbery. Very disappointed and will never use again

Did not visit restaurant takeaway ordered , once again ordered extra mint suace 3rd time not sent but charged for also no salad. Getting a bit of a joke now. Have forgiven lately as the food has been good tonight just average. They keep offering a discount on next order, never followed through with. Time to move on to a restaurant that reads the order and delivers what is ordered, sad but need to gett what they have paid for.

Great service and delicious food.

Ordered a takeaway yesterday for dinner guests. It was delicious!😋 Had 6 mains, various dishes, a few different types of naans and types of rice dishes, plates were cleared 👌 We all enjoyed our meals, good quality meats, perfectly cooked! Made even better by a generous 20% discount, for spending over £25. Thank you 😊

1st time & definitely last time ordering from here. Food too spicy couldn't eat it & so many bones in curry had to have it re delivered guess what !!! More bones & still too spicy. If as they say they use Chicken breast meat where do bones come from !!! One star for lady delivery driver although as she delivered for 3rd time even she dumped & ran with a Sorry. Only recommendation dial another number.

Takeaway. The meal was very disappointing. A king prawn korma was excessively spicy and a vegetable curry was in a thin watery sauce. Used to be on Just Eat but now only available from their own website which is very poor. Afraid I shan't be ordering from here again.

Unusually from me a review of an Indian Restaurant. We were visiting friends on Canvey and they suggested we all go for a meal on the Friday at night. First thing our friends advised was to take our own drink as they are not licensed. I wish more restaurants did this as we knew we could have drinks we liked. Glasses were provided for us to use. We started with poppadoms and chutney etc. Exactly what you would expect and enough pickles etc for the six poppadoms. We decided against starters and went straight for the mains. These included Grilled Salmon, Lamb Bhunas, Chicken Tikka Madras, Pillau rices, Garlic Naans and Bombay Aloo and Mushroom Bhaji. All the food was superbly cooked and wonderfully flavoured. Portion sizes were very good. No rush at all to consume your food. We finished off with a selection of various ice creams and sorbets. To sum up, a very enjoyable evening with superb food. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and look forward to returning to our friends again in the future so we can visit this restaurant again. I forgot to take photos when the food was brought out so you have a selection after we served up.

Fantastic food with great staff

We went there on Tuesday after a recommendation, it was good food large portions and friendly staff at an excellent price.

Thought after 2 years (after had raw chicken tika!l would try again last night (takeaway). Although the 5 pieces of chicken in the 2 x dishes was cooked, it was a watery tasteless mess. They really need to change the chefs at this place or they will be going out of business. Very poor food and will not be ordering again.

Ordered at 5pm tonight it said it would arrive 5.45. It didn’t arrive till 6.30 and that’s when I realised it was warm. Absolute wasted money. Never again

Collected takeaway tonight was ready in 20 minutes amazing flavours good portions and piping hot even after a 10 minute walk home thanks paradise

Worst Indian we've ever had, lamb curry had six small pieces of meat covered in sauce and really tough. Onion bhaji was very tough, the chicken tikka was poor and chicken curry even worse. Don't ever order from this restaurant.

This was lovely takeaway , always the best and totally consistent not like some . I so enjoyed this meal I had the set meal for one , its always hot tasty and always pleasant great service , and friendly delivery service from all . Cant wait when they open again for normality to go and eat in the restaurant.

This underrated little place needs more recognition! I have family in various places (Southend, London ect) that all ask to come back here after they visit. Whether it is take-away or table - the service is fantastic and honestly some of the best food I have ever had. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right!

Booked a table first visit during Covid to a restaurant, the staff done a great job Socisl distance with the lay out and the tables , very clean , wore face masks , the meal was lovely , with very good service as well . It was my husbands 60th and it was soo lovely to all go out as a family to celebrate . Great job to the Paradise . We all need to support the restaurant , Would definitely recommend, Thanks guys ,

First time I have ordered from this restaurant, I had the set meal for one . It was really tasty very enjoyable and hot , I was pleasantly surprised as I’ve tried many Indians restaurants on the island and that was the best I’ve had in a long time . . I will definitely be going back again . And would recommend.

I am able to visit this restaurant on a weekly basis, the staff are friendly and very helpful and wiling to explain all the dishes that you may want to order. They have a policy of bring your own drink which is very acceptable .
