We live in Bugle, Cornwall. So not too far from this restaurant. Today, with my husband, following a Remembrance Day service we went for Sunday dinner. As the one who usually cooks the Sunday meal, my remarks to the staff as we left was. That's the first time I have eaten a Sunday dinner cooked by someone else, and said, 'I couldn't have done any better myself'. We both thought it was delicious.

We live locally and often come here for breakfast and a walk round , it’s a lovely little place to go for a couple of hours , and I must commend the restaurant and the staff they are lovely friendly , and can’t do enough for you , we often meet up with extended family and can be a lot of us , they go out their way to help us and the food is excellent quality amazing portions and well presented , they went our their way for us the other day when we walked out a pub nearby when we had bad service and they quickly pushed tables together and got 11 breakfasts out quickly and basically saved our morning as the place we walked out of was horrendous, and we had visiting friends , so thankyou to the restaurant staff you all worked amazing together xx keep up the good work and we will definitely be back for one of your lovely breakfasts soon x xxx

We are regular visitors to the Garden Centre. We love a walk around the gardens and shop, and it isn't often we leave empty handed. But we go mainly to enjoy the Restaurant. The service is always excellent, the staff always welcoming. Last week we had a sandwich each. A lovely Prawn for me, and my husband loved his Coronation Chicken. Excellent value. Today because the Summer menu is still operating we ordered a small potion of Fish and Chips. It is both our opinions that this was the best Fish and Chip meal we have ever had anywhere in Cornwall. The Fish, especially the batter was beautiful. Dry and crisp just like it should be. Top chefs would struggle to surpass this batter. The chips lovely, not large dry chips that lots of other places provide. But smaller and chips that taste like chips. We wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend a visit.

Previous experiences have been good, however today we ordered two separate orders for the same table. Which we ordered at the same time, the drink didn’t come out for one of the orders and was asked for twice. Finally when all the food was out and still no drink we asked again, the server went off and came back with the tea and left. He came back again and asked for the receipt and left with no explanation. Came back with the receipt and said it’s ok you can have the tea (which we had paid for) The server was young and was being asked by the other staff to tell us stuff which created confusion. They should have come to us themselves. The vegetarian sausage was so overcooked that it wasn’t edible. I’ve skimmed softer rocks 🙈. Most of the food needed a life raft to stay afloat on the plate. Even something as simple as toast was dry and rock hard. Clearly had been made up early and been kept warm.

I met a friend for a wander round the garden centre and we stopped in the cafe for a drink. £4 for a cup of hot chocolate that tasted milky but not chocolatey, and £3.50 for a cup of green tea! Pricier than The Rashleigh and The Brit and not as nice. We felt the quality and the pricing were way off expectations so will not be returning.

Having seen a few poor reviews, I was a little concerned about meeting up with friends for lunch here, but was told by my friends this is absolutely the best place to go. We weren't disappointed, what an lovely restaurant. Light and airy with a nice upbeat vibe, really polite cheerful guy at the tills, made us great coffee and made us feel really at home. He recognised my friends and knew exactly what coffees they wanted, its a personal touch I really like. We all ordered food, which was brought to our table quickly and looking as lovely as it tasted. The quiche was probably the best I have had out, we all enjoyed thoroughly our meals, relaxed and put under no pressure to leave, giving us plenty of time to catch up and chat. I think its really sad we live in a world where people use these reviews as a personal vendetta, I honestly don't think you will find better locally for price and quality. 100% recommend,

This used to be a fantastic place for lunch. Had an amazing menu and was always good quality. Arrived today to see the chalk board with their limited summer menu. Drinks came straight away but had to ask for food after 30 minutes even though couple who ordered after us had got their food. My wife had the quiche which looked like it was from Aldi basics range and was basically poorly cooked scrambled egg in a pastry case. On top of that where we sat there was bird poop on the walls and on the floor around the table. It seems like the staff just don't care what this place was. We used to enjoy it here, now sadly we probably won't be back

Called in today with my disabled mum for coffee. It was a struggle to get her in as all the disabled parking spaces were occupied, it was raining heavily and she struggles to walk. I was relieved to find a table, but when I ordered the coffee I was told there would be a twenty minute to half an hour wait. I couldn't believe we had to wait for the food orders to be served before a couple of coffees could be provided. So we left and probably won't bother going there again.

We have been to the Garden Centre café many times, normally just a coffee or tea with a cake. Around about February we had our lunch there, a baked potato etc, me with some butter and cheese my wife with some butter and baked beans etc, best big spuds out, delicious. This time it was late morning and just right for Brunch at 11.15am. We chose the small breakfast, 1 sausage, 1 bacon, 1 egg, plenty of mushrooms, 1 hash brown, 1 tomato and baked beans, WOW! and on a warmed plate which makes a change for anywhere and what would the big brunch be like. Delicious Par Garden Centre café and for one and all for a sensible price, great value, well done and worth a visit everyone. Mind the leaky roof in the shop though even so, great ideas for gifts and plants in there.

We waited 40 minutes from sitting to have our order taken, the drinks took ages to arrive and when our food came some was missing, the rest of the food then came a while later and was obviously rushed as we had white chips! I can see they tried to put Covid restrictions in place by Taking orders at Tables but after sitting for 40 minutes a lot of people queued for ages surrounding our table which was very uncomfortable! Only to be told they need to sit and wait, there was no signs saying people should stay seated, the staff tried but there only appeared to be three people on which isn’t enough compared to the amount of people so wait times where high and service was poor. Since the change in ownership the garden centre has improved but the cafe has deteriorated and we will not be returning, a waste of £30 and two hours!

There was only one person serving at the counter when we were there, so service was bound to be slower - although this was so slow that in the end we left without ordering. Unfortunately, because we were standing at the service counter for so long we were able to see through the kitchen serving hatch where the sunday lunches were being dished up, and there are a couple of hygiene/covid-safety points that perhaps need looking at. For example, people handling food should, perhaps wear gloves; rings on fingers should be removed before handling food, and it's not a good idea to touch food on one plate with a bare hand, and then use the same hand to place a stuffing ball onto another plate. Sorry to complain, because it's not in my nature, but we do need to do all we can to prevent cross-infection and contamination.

We visited on 22nd February, not realising that the garden centre was no longer a Wyvale franchise. We had planned to have lunch there and were surprised at how quiet it was. My husband had chicken curry with rice and a lovely, fluffy naan bread, which he said was tasty, with melt in the mouth chunks of chicken. I had a tuna mayo jacket potato, which was served with a nice side salad and was a proper, oven cooked one, not one of the frozen microwaved ones. The lady who took our order was pleasant and helpful, accommodating our requests for very weak coffees without question, and the food arrived within 10 minutes. My only comment on the negative side is that there is very little food available for vegetarians or vegans - please up your game in this area, guys, as it really will attract more customers. The garden centre part is not as well stocked as it used to be, but since it’s a relatively new business that’s to be expected, so I hope that everyone continues to support them and help them grow.

I visited the garden centre on Friday 20th December with my daughter to have lunch, it was extremely busy but I feel that I had to write this review as the lady behind the counter (I think her name was Jo) was amazing. She was dealing with some very difficult customers wanting a refund and the whole time she keep smiling and apologised to us for keeping us waiting. At no time did any other member of your staff offer to help her in fact I have to say they all looked very miserable and I appreciate they were busy but they should still make the customers feel welcome and the only person who did this was This lady. While we had our lunch I was watching her and commented to my daughter at how professional and polite she was to her customers. This lady is a credit to you and maybe some of your other staff need to take a lesson in customer services from her.

The staff Christy, Sophie, and Sarah C were friendly and took time to chat and make sure we were happy with everything, it was refreshing to see workers happy in their jobs and working has a team. We will definitely be back to sample more of the menu has all the food comimg out of the kitchen looked yummy! Wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars because it so deserves it.

My wife and I had an excellent Festive afternoon tea. Great choice of fresh sandwiches, scones and cakes. So much food had to take some home. Also unlimited tea or coffee.

After quite some time as being a marginal place to have a meal and a drink due to staff numbers and slow servive, we are really pleased to find that the service has vastly improved and the speed of meals arriving much better. The menu offers are good and reasonably priced and the food quality ( whilst we are guessing is bought in) is good as well.

There are a nice selection of plants & gardening materials in the centre & after browsing around these items etc, there is a cafe there too were you can relax & have a coffee & a cake & rest a while before moving on.

We were here to sort out an issue with some Kettler garden furniture which Kettler had agreed to exchange under warranty & I must say that the garden staff especially Olly were absolutely amazing and very helpful and sorted our problem for us.

Called in for light lunch and a drink. Panini and sandwich both very nice with side salad and coleslaw. Had a lovely coffee with 1 shot in the cup .. that was just the right strength for me. Noticed they had a lovely selection of deserts and ice creams and also do a very nice looking afternoon tea. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

An OK cafe/restaurant for a garden centre but as has happened on previous visits they just can't seem to be able to get the food orders right!! But hey ho they staff are friendly and the food cooked ok and the prices reasonable.

Called in for a coffee and scone, after looking around garden centre, the coffee was so strong and I couldn't drink it all and at £3.05 a large cup I think is very expensive ,didn't buy a scone as someone lifted the lid and felt the scones to see if they were fresh, couldn't believe my eyes as she didn't have them,I don't think I will stop here for a coffee again, and wouldn't recommend

Very pleasant staff, but.... If you leave out tongs for customers to use, then why do you pick up the customers buns with you r bare hands . simple really. The fact that you have been operating the till and handling money only compounds the hygene issue

I visited the Garden Centre to-day for a light lunch and was very disappointed. Ordered a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw and was advised there would be a 15 minute wait. When the meal came the potato was hardly warm and not cooked through properly - hard enough to be inedible. So I took it back, asked if I could have something else fairly quickly and was told another potato would be prepared for me. When it came it was much smaller and a bit warmer than the first (but not hot) still not wholly cooked through. I think there was no more than a teaspoon of cheese. I've had good meals here before, but I'm not sure now whether I want to make a return visit. The waitress staff were good but how difficult is it to cook a jacket potato properly?

Came here today for lunch and a walk around. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances no hot food was available today. Clean, spacious, well laid out garden centre. We've visited loads of Wyevale garden centres and never been disappointed. The quality of food at Wyevale garden centres is always very good

We booked afternoon tea for family celebrations. Afternoon tea was presented beautifully and was delicious. Our waitress Pinka was friendly and looked after us. The special offer was a bonus too. Highly recommended!

Beautiful building. Amanda the barmaid/waitress was very helpful and friendly. My family had the ham egg and chips, which was outstanding. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh. The puddings were sinful and beautifully made.

Went for a coffee and was told could only have take away as it was 15:40 on a Sunday, my wife and I are both disabled and I have an ostomy and asked to use the loo and was told I could only if I buy something, so it cost me 7 quid for two takeaway coffees just to use the loo....thanks national trust

We stopped for an ice cream while on the search for our car keys which we lost on the beach!! 🤦🏽♀️ The rum and raisin ice cream was AMAZING and no complaints from the kids and hubby with their choices! The lovely gent who served us got his wife Zara to help us with locating the keys which luckily where found and left at the RLNI across but was closed, she managed to find someone who got the keys So thank you so much for your help lovely people and for the ice creams! 🥰 wishing you all the best x
