Ordered a lamb curry and got sent chicken, naans were completely smashed,

Waited over 45 minutes then when it arrived we didn't get the chapatis that we ordered so rang restaurant they said they'd run out so replaced with rice they should have rang us and asked if they could replace the chapatis before delivering..

Not visited this lovely restaurant for some time, there have been changes in decor that make it feel luxury it is always spotlessly clean. It was a quiet Sunday night not sure why as we had the 2 dine for £26 to include poppadum pickle tray, mixed starter for 2, 2 main courses with rice and naan. Superb value for money and all food hot, cooked fresh and very flavoursome. Take your own alcohol policy a plus! Had some takeaways from here in lockdown and could not fault This is now back on our list of go to places it is a gem in Heaton village. Give it a go never been disappointed the only reason why I have not been for a while was I moved out the village but not too far away in a taxi. See you soon !

The food has gone completely downhill, used to love this place but ordered our usual tonight and now it’s reformed frozen chicken cut into perfect squares with watery sauce. The prices have gone up and the quality has dropped to -10 so stay clear !!!!

First time I tried this restaurant and I'm sure there will be many more orders. Superb food!

So we have ordered delivery twice from paprika during lock down.... The first time they forgot the pilau rice. I rang to query and they said to remind them next time. The second time the delivery was almost 45 minutes late, despite reminding them about the pilau rice from last time, nothing extra or a reimbursement. I had ordered a saag aloo and a saag paneer, got 2 saag aloo and no paneer. Despite the food tasting nice I will not be ordering from these guys again nor will I be frequenting their establishment when it reopens. A shame

Just had another superb takeaway from this restaurant. It really is the best in Bradford, and I don’t really go elsewhere now. The vegetable biryani this evening was superb.

I would like to say a big thank you to the lads at the Paprika lounge for providing catering to a function at St Bede's and St Joseph's Catholic College. The food and service was top quality. All of our visitors commented on the quality of the food that you prepared for the event. Fresh and very tasty. Also a big thank you for the meal that I had in your restaurant a few week ago. Well majored and managed place. Defo a hit with the head teacher. Visit again soon.

We had been meaning to visit The Paprika Lounge for a while and had oportunity to do so recently. We were not disappointed, a wee bit dubious at first as there was only one other couple in ( it was a wee bit earlier then we would normally go). The food, service and hospitality were all excellent! Will definately pay a return visit.

We called tonight for something to eat. As always, the food was superb and the staff are always friendly and attentive. The chef came out, dressed in white and wearing a chef hat which is always good to see. Cobra lager on tap, but most importantly, perfect food! The best curry in Bradford.

We had dinner for two on a Friday evening. The place was spotless & the food was excellent. As it was quite quiet we had a very interesting chat with the staff. The bill was reasonable. A pleasant surprise for somewhere a little of the beaten track.

Been several times now and really rate this food. It's consistently good... amongst the best in the area. Very friendly staff, including the chef who comes out of the kitchen regularly to wait on tables and chat to customers. Not many staff though, so if they got busy the service may suffer. However they rarely are busy....genuinely can't understand why. Hope they do well.

First visit to Paprika Lounge. Good ambience, great staff, brilliant service and outstandingly good food. What a choice there is on the menu. We’ll definitely be back to try some of the things we couldn’t choose between!

Had a really nice meal tandoori king prawns followed by lemon chilli chicken and chapattis, staff were really nice and friendly, will definitely visit again.

This really is a hidden gem, the food is second to none, so many flavours it really is a fantastic place to eat. Chilled ambience and superb friendly service. Leave the big faceless bland tasting restaurants alone and come and try the true taste of quality homemade curries. You will not be disappointed..

We are regulars here and love how the staff always look after you and very proud of their business. We always come for the amazing curries, traditional and healthily cooked with good quality produce. The flavours are amazing and you can see all the spices and ingredients they use. Never bland or boring or over coloured like most curries. Do not hesitate in coming to this restaurant, they always do meal offers, which are really good value for money. Great for takeaways as well. I don’t know why but they’re always quite, do not let this put you off. It’s nothing to do with poor service or poor quality food. It’s a hidden gem! Can’t wait to go back again.

Bradford is blessed with some amazing Asian restaurants so it really is difficult to get a bad meal anywhere. However, the food here seems to have so many layers of flavour and subtleties I haven't had elsewhere. The staff are lovely, too, so I can't recommend this place highly enough. Go and try it!

The curry was one of the best we have eaten and we do eat many curries. Very pleasant surroundings and the waiter was a very pleasant and polite man. The onion bajis were absolutely amazing. The chef was very nice, he came to introduce himself. We will definitely be back again and again.

Amazing and delicately flavoured food , Beautiful fluffy naan bread cooked in a clay oven, Tandoori mixed grill to die for service on a sizzling hot plate, with a lovely aromatic smell of lime . Five star service from a friendly bunch . Shukria

We have visited twice in the last month and always receive the most delicious fresh food and totally unbeatable service. We had the paprika special starter which is a mix of all your starter favourites, including onion Bhaji and sheesh kebab and a chicken tikka starter which is served with salad and a lemon garnish. The chicken is always moist, fresh and served with a lovely sauce that adds to the compliment of flavours. For our main course we always request a keema peas, this isn’t on the menu but they happily prepare it for us. It’s a spiced beef mince with peas, quite an original dish and one that they excel in executing. After our meal we are always presented with hot cloths and a palette cleanser and a nice dish of mints and sweeties. They treated us to a little ice cream this time to, this was a lovely touch and again added to cleansing our mouths. I can’t recommend this Indian highly enough, fresh food, great service and an excellent price what more could you ask for.

Me and my family (5of us) went here just turned up they go us a table quickly esp for a Saturday evening they got the food spot on and out in reasonable time, staff were lovely and engaging. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice meal.

Have now given them 5 attempts to deliver the right order over 5 weeks. If a restaurant can't cater for special dietary requirements just tell the customer rather than say yes and then send something completely different. No oil doesn't mean swimming in oil. After complaining the phone was put down on me and when I asked for a refund it was promised but hasn't been refunded. We'd even tried going for a meal previously in the restaurant and that was a disaster too based on them booking us in when there was an event and then ignoring us most of the night so the service was unacceptable. Try supporting local business and this is what you get. No more chances

Went on a groupon tonight. The curry was one of the best I have eaten and I eat a lot. Very pleasant surroundings and the waiter was a very pleasant and polite man. We will definitely be back. A great local find.

love this palce, the onion bhajees and veg curries are fantastic. Always service with a smile and pleasant conversation. Masala Daal and spinach and potato curries are fantastic and when i go with my meat eating friends they are never dissapointed. I get a take out once a month and eat in every six weeks or so and think its the best food of its kind in Bradford.

This is my favourite curry restaurant in Bradford. The food is delicious and individually prepared. The restaurant is in the cosy Heaton Village and is pleasant and clean. The staff are very friendly and attentive. My only gripe would be how busy they are with takeaways which sometimes delays diners in the restaurant. Saying that, the food is always worth the wait.

My wife and I decided to order a takeaway from the Paprika Lounge after reading positive reviews and receiving good verbal comments. Ordering online was efficient but I couldn't understand the 30 minute collection time when I viewed the small number of people in the restaurant when I went to pick up. The restaurant appears to be well decorated inside and the staff were friendly on arrival. We chose a mixed kebab as a shared starter and for mains I went for keema matter with 2 chaphatis and my wife went for keema mushroom with a plain naan.

My wife and I are very fortunate as we live five minutes’ walk from this restaurant. We have been many times and each time, we find the food and service faultless. Nothing wrong with the decor either. Stunningly good food and service.

Bought a Groupon to try this place out and booked a table 3 days in advance for Sunday evening at 6.30 pm. Got ready to goto the restaurant and at 5.45 pm received a telephone call from a ride man saying we could not come. He we had been before and they would not accept our booking and we should contact Groupon to get our money back. I told him I had not been to those premises in 20years when it was the old Clarks restaurant. He then said they would accept our booking. On arrival the waiter said Groupon was just for a tasting menu and we could not go back using it. I wouldn't mind but the place was empty other than one other couple.

I came here with my family and hands down it was the best Bangladeshi food I’ve had. The food was so tasty - excellent spicing. I live in London and it beat all my locals by far - I’d be visiting weekly if I lived here. Do try it. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Price was also very reasonable. Try it!

When you hear the saying never judge a book by its cover this is exactly that. We pulled up outside to a place that looked like a takeaway and once inside it’s a little dated and needs some attention to decor and maintenance.

I just wanted to try a new place for mid easter food... oh my gosh.. was I ever impressed.... the most flavourfull and filling... who knew that tthis litte gem would actually exist in our little town of Bradford... but it does and they will see me again over and over...

Bought a groupon voucher and booked online a table for two for 7pm on a Saturday evening and received email confirmation of the booking. Was looking forward to it as had previously eaten at paprika when it was at green gates and Clayton heights. Arrived at 6.45 and the restaurant was clearly busy with a large party. Waited in the bar area for 5 mins when another couple arrived. A member of staff appeared looking surprised to see us there and when we explained we had a booking he told us that he had no record of the booking and they didn’t take groupon vouchers on a Saturday night. He explained they were busy but asked us to take a seat and he would see if he could sort something out. Whilst we were waiting a man arrived from outside and asked if we were being dealt with we explained we were waiting for a table. He immediately said we couldn’t have a table and that they had a party we again explained that we had a booking. This man also said they didn’t take groupon bookings on a Saturday night and I can only say is manner was extremely rude and intimidating. The first member of staff arrived and I asked him if he could ring us a taxi which he said he would. The rude member of staff then said”I don’t know why you are sitting there because you are not getting a table”I replied that we didn’t want a table we were just waiting for a taxi and could he check to see if it had been booked.whilst we were waiting for the taxi another couple arrived with exactly the same issue a groupon voucher and a booking which the restaurant knew nothing about. Just as my taxi arrived the member of staff arrived again in the waiting area did not directly approach me just said in a very aggressive manner to me “we can’t pay for your taxi”. At no point had I asked the restaurant to do this and I politely pointed this out to him and told him that I had simply asked for them to ring me a taxi.

Visited on a Thursday evening what used to be Clarkes restaurant.This lovely little restaurant does all it can to please.Our waiter was helpful and attentive,starters were well presented and beautifully spiced,main course plentiful and full of flavour.Prices were very reasonable and guess what? Yes you can bring your own booze!When I asked "do you charge corkage"the waiter replied "what's that?"So obviously not...give this place a try you will be glad like me that you did!

After Paprika re-opened, me, my friends & my boyfriend & his family have all been regular customers. We dine at paprika every other week if not sitting in, we get it to takeaway and it NEVER disappoints. The food is so tasty, I would highly recommend the aloo chana chat as a starter, I get it every time I go and it is always good! The curries are full of flavour, the chapattis are fresh and the ginger rice is delicious! The staff are very welcoming and friendly, it is always a pleasure to see them. I can’t really fault paprika lounge, I just wish more people knew about it and how nice the food is! I would definitely recommend paprika to people who are searching for good food, good service at a reasonable price! I will definitely be visiting again soon!

Went there with friends on Saturday night. Had booked in advance but no need as our group brought the total number of people dining upto 16 - on a Saturday night? Well they were all pretty friendly in the bar before going into the restaurant but the bar area was basically Clark’s except it had been stripped back and was an economy version. We arrived first and I got a kingfisher lager but when I ordered one for my friend 5 minutes later they had none left!

Met some friends here for a pre-Christmas get together, we all had great fun, we were quite a big group and they managed to cater for us without mis-hap. We were allowed to bring our own booze but there is a licenced bar offering bottled beers and wine. They provided a set meal option that was a very reasonable price. The food was excellent and well presented. Friends have been using this restaurant often and all have informed me that the standard of food is always very good, the staff are very friendly. I look forward to returning soon.

Not a good start when asked for a sparkling water and given a glass and a bottle marked 'Not to be sold separately.' Despite being a large party the room was cold although it was a very cold night to be fair.

The food was really good, I had a chicken Suki starter (sweet and sour marinade, onions peppers) which was gorgeous and different and also a Lamb Takari curry also gorgeous and different to your usual curries.

We went last night with friends, and were greeted by a friendly member of staff who took us to our table. We all enjoyed the meals we ordered. I had Prawn Balti, and have to say it was the best one I've eaten. The staff were friendly and the service was good, (Not too rushed). It was quiet when we got there, but then more people started to come in. I found it very clean, and the seating and tables are comfortably arranged and spacious so you have your own privacy. Pleasant décor and background music.

This gem of a restaurant was recommended by a friend and came with a 'one of the best curry houses in Bradford ' title. Not a title easily given in Bradford. The food was excellent, choosing was difficult with an extensive menu. Everything ordered was delicious and included fish, lamb and chicken dishes. Reasonably priced and good service. Will definitely be going back to try out the rest of the menu.

Five of us ate here the other Saturday night, we booked a table for 7.30 and were surprised that there were only 2 other diners. We ordered a mixture of starters which were very good and the same with our mains. The food was very good and the service was the same, not an expensive place, most mains under £10.00 and a bottle of wine £9.99. Only 2 other people came in whilst we were there.Why is this restaurant so quiet?

The food here is exquisite, amazing range of dishes and all cooked to an amazing standard. Definitely a hidden gem!

The curry looked fantastic quality however if was far too sweet and felt loaded with sugar. The pakoras were tasty but swimming in oil. So much potential but disappointing overall. Very polite and friendly delivery man.

Thought we'd try somewhere new and when I rang to see if our order had set off yet as it was 20 mins late he said it had, another 20 mins later it arrived (it's 2 mins around the corner) the food was too sweet, couldn't eat it as much as we tried, as we're the sauces sorry it's like a bag of sugar had been poured in, the chips were stale gray and soggy and all cold as were the curry. Sorry won't be ordering again

The restaurant has newly opened in Heaton and came highly recommended by friends so for a birthday treat we went to try it out - We werent disappointed - the onion bhaji starter I had was the best Iv ever tasted - the main courses were all delicious and we took our own wine as they didnt have all licences in place - check before you go as this can have changed now - they very kindly brought out a lovely sweet with a candle as a birthday surprise - the staff were attentive food gorgeous and will definitel go again

Ordered takeaway to be delivered. Food arrived at the time stated, and was piping hot.All the curries were excellent, but I will single out the Machli Biran and the Brinjal Bhajis as outstanding starters, and the Lemon Chilli Special Lamb and the Machli Korai as outstanding mains. The Chappattis were gorgeous, so unlike the leaden offerings from many local restaurants.This restaurant offers Indian and Bangladeshi dishes, an interesting change from the usual Kashmiri fare in Bradford. The chef is a prize winner, and it shows in the quality of his cooking.

Really happily surprised to see I could order from here via Just eat, was looking for someone local to deliver chapati (lazy day.. 🙂) and happily surprised to see i could get delivery from Paprika lounge. Can't really comment on any dishes but the chapati was as perfect as I have had from anywhere local, nice and thin meaning I ate far too many and also the garlic naan was delicious, light for a naan which was really a nice change to some over heavy stoge I've had elsewhere and both the flavour and freshness was spot on. Will be back again. Thank you.

Only three tables occupied early Friday evening before the Bank Holiday weekend!! Makes no sense. This was some of the very best Indian/Pakistani food I have had. Delicious Tandoori Chicken starter, excellent pickle tray, perfect Nan, followed by the best Sag Ghost I have had and large generous portions. Staff very friendly, restaurant very comfortable (was formerly an upmarket French bistro called Clarke's). My wife had Mushroom Puri & Tandoori Lamb Chops which she enjoyed enormously. Cannot recommend highly enough in a city with umpteen good Asian restaurants,

Place doesn't look amazing or posh looking. But the staff are really friendly and pleasant. You can have a bit of fun with them as well. Two sweets for me and one for the partner when we paid the bill. But the gem about this place is the food. It taste so good and is fab for the price. The flavours, the quality of the food is fab. Very picky over my curries. They have to be good. I like traditional way of cooking and I asked for it hot and it was perfect! Can't wait to go again. It's sadly always quite and I hope it doesn't continue as it's so good! Got a new date night place. Give this place a try.

This was our second visit since the restaurant opened in Heaton and everything was just as good as the first. The food is very good, interesting and generous.I was puzzled by the negative reviews until I noticed the dates and locations. I have no knowledge of the previous location and management but I recommend potential customers to focus on the recent, Heaton based, experiences.

Excellent discovery, 2nd order, both were hot, fresh, great quality & will definitely be using again.

Just been for early evening meal with friends. Fish pakora, mushroom starter, chicken tikka, samosas and shami kebab all lovely. Main dishes Asian style to die for, family nan fresh, light and massive! Had to bring half home and the remains of my curry, gives me something for lunch Monday. Price comparable to others and then 10% off for NHS staff, can't fault it. Won't be the last time we go.

Went on a Wednesday for there special £9.99 three course meal delightful. Starters veg samosa's and sikh kebabs best kebabs I have eaten in years. Main courses veg masala and lamb and spinach both lovely. Nan was great and pilau rice lovely. Finally pistachio kulfi. This place deserves your business would highly recommend.

My food did not turn up, restaurant didn't answer the phone when i rang to ask where it was after it was an hour late Although i had an order number and my payment went through they say they didnt receive it Quite simply i wont be using them Had just eat staff rung me up to complain where an order was i would bust a gut to deliver it! Discusting.. lamb dopiaza the meat had so much fat in it.. bhajis were shrivelled and burnt and swimming in grease. 45 minutes late and forgot my poppodoms ! Will not order again from here.

I went toPaprika with 18 other people on a Wednesday night. We had a lovely evening. The staff were attentive and friendly. We had starters, mains with rice and bread. They coped well with the big order bringing the courses out at the same time. There was a variety of meals were ordered and not a single complaint. My meal was lovely, samosas followed by medium keema korma. They also happily provided doggy bags for lefts overs. They price was surprisingly cheap considering what we ordered. Would definitely go again.

Ate here last night with family. Just cannot understand why this place is not full every night. The place now looks great since the refurb was completed. We were welcomed like old friends. The food is way better than your average curry house. You have to try the Bindiya Chicken. It's not award winning for nothing. And the prices are great too. For 5 of us with starters, assorted breads and rice and mains came to a little over £60. Total bargain. Do yourselves a favour and give these guys a try. You won't regret it.

I'm very surprised by the previous reviews, but I think if you ignore the error over Groupon vouchers most are positive. We eat at Paprika (or use their delivery service) at least once a month. The food has always been excellent and they greet you as if you are family. I cannot recommend it enough. Some of our group are fussy eaters and are always catered for - in fact if you describe the dish you want, no menu is required, and nothing is too much trouble for the staff.The review on 4 January is correct regarding the decor, but they had only been open at the new premises for 4 days. Since then it is much improved!!!

New restaurant looks a tip. Sorry but its true. Service is a big let down, food is good but would rather eat at home then in a half finished restaurant with no ambiance. Wont be returning!

We used a Groupon Voucher for this meal and were surprised when we arrived they were upstairs some steel steps and had a few shops that were closed around it, but, when we stepped inside the blue lights and the fresh smell of the cooking and the cleanliness and the atmosphere was to die for. Even though we had a voucher the food was fantastic and so much of it, we will go there again and I can't wait.

We had a bit of a wait when we arrived as all the staff were in the kitchen, but after that, we were seated & attended to quickly. We had a groupon, however next time we will dine with the offers they have themselves. Both our starters & main courses were tasty & plentiful, with a good range of choice, and the drinks are also good value.Definitely worth a visit.

This is Brilliant Indian food. It's very difficult to get a decent indian meal in Reading with consistent quality. Paprika is great - NEVER had a bad meal. HUGE portions with lots of extras. We always do takeaways. I do NOT recognise our experiences with anything stated here. Very odd as our is totally genuine!!

I've been rehearsing my review but now I have seen the previous ones, I see we are no different. I made a telephone booking saying we had a Groupon Voucher. We arrived to be told the voucher had expired two months ago. He said he would ring his brother! Said brother said not to serve us as they wouldn't get the money from Groupon. I pointed out that the voucher was still in date and was told to take it up with Groupon. I asked why my booking had been taken in that case and was told the person on the phone was mixing it up with an offer they have at the moment and pointed to a leaflet on the counter. The man was neither apologetic nor sympathetic, neither did he offer us any alternative. Had he been welcoming we may well have eaten any way and reported to Groupon for a refund. When I told him I would never use his restaurant again, he accused me of 'threatening' him! Yes, I threatened I would never eat there and would tell my friends of the bad experience. They need some serious training in customer relations. There was one table occupied. Hardly surprising since I have now read previous reviews. We will certainly not go back again. We have eaten there before, but quite a while ago. Obviously changed hands. We walked up into Idle village and had an excellent meal at the Rajashahi, served by staff who certainly value your custom.

Tried to book table on 4 separate occasions of which the accepted the booking until you told them that you had got a groupon and suddenly the declined the booking saying they were fully booked!!!!!!!! I tried a few days in advance a week in advance and the two weeks in advance, same answer every time ,,, not except able, complete con really,,

Went here to try somewhere new for a change and can honestly say I will not be going back again ever. Food was bland, portion sizes were tiny, received a dish full of sauce with no meat in. When questioned we were fobbed off with the excuse that the sauce is expensive so they don't put much meat in!!! Not what you expect when the meals aren't cheap anyway. Would not recommend this place to anybody
