Gorgeous food! Paprika special starter! Delicious! Chicken tikka Biriani! Delicious! Paprika special curry! Delicious! Would definitely recommend. The portion sizes were very large, 2 curries enough for two!

First curry from paprika and we can't fault it! Absolutely delicious! The only thing that we would say is that medium heat is quite spicy!

Paprika is our go-to Indian. Staff are always courteous. The food is very tasty, the portions are more than adequate and the prices competitive.

Never in my life been to an indian that serve french fries.. sorry, rock hard and cold french fries! When i opened the bag i thought it was an actual joke! Tikka was bland and garlic naan was stale. Rotten a pot noodle would of been more substantial- right in the bin.

Second time I ordered from this place. Food arrived 30 minutes late (only 5 minutes from the place). Stone cold and the tandooric chicken was anorexic. No meat on it what's so eever for £10.50 proper robbed. Won't be bothering with this place again !!!,. Total order was £30 quid and was not worth the money !!!.

This was a good restaurant before becoming take away only. he curry was pretty tasteless which takes some doing - avoid.

Only a take away now, not a restaurant. We got one 3 weeks earlier, and when it was delivered there was part of the order missing, which they soon got delivered, good service. However we ordered the exact same dishes this time and the food was very disappointing the chicken tikka Biryiani, consisted of big chunks of dry un-marinated chicken In what seemed like plain pilau rice. Wont be going back.

I was sorry to see this restaurant has closed and moved round the corner and is a take away only. We have ordered two take aways which were delivered. Delivery service was good, food was hot. The food was OK, nothing special and not as good as the old restaurant. Hopefully things will improve with time.

I'm a vegetarian and alway find it hard to get something tasty. Me and my partner decided to order from paprika and we weren't disappointed. We will definitely be going back.

Visited with friends for a leaving do. Took the Tuesday special offer but the starter was so small it was unbelievable. Lovely main, rice and naan bread. Drinks expensive. Would return

On another visit to Workington we went for a meal only to find that the restaurant had closed. Now have new premises on Washington Street which is a takeaway facility and no seating. This was forecast on past reviews of the restaurant.

Chicken tikka masala was nice. Prawn dish was rubbery and lacked flavour. Spiced mushroom dish was watery and lacked any flavour at all. Peanut chicken dish seemed to be chicken breast with just peanut butter on top, clashing flavours with unpleasant texture. Very disappointing.

As was intimated in an earlier review this is a very good restaurant and if it is not used it will be lost but on a Friday evening it was disappointing that we were the only diners and as a result there was no atmosphere. It will not survive on take always alone certainly without a significant reduction in overheads. We had poppadoms to start followed by the spiced Mushrooms and a sheek kebab. Unfortunately the Rioja on the wine list was not available but they did have a substitute which was acceptable. The main course we had was a chicken madras and a King Prawn Bhuna and they were both very tasty and large in size. We accompanied our dishes with an Onion bhaji and a Peshwari Nan both of which were very good particularly the latter. Paprika is a good restaurant but with more staff than customers the sums do not work. Well worth trying before it is too late! Recommended.

I’ve used Paprika on business for a couple of years. The food is consistently good. It’s hidden away on a back street and sometimes it can be quiet. They do a great meal deal on Wednesday which is fantastic value. I’ve recommended this place to friends and they keep going back as well.

Personally I love it when a resteraunt is nice and quiet,not empty just enough people in to give it a warm feeling,and the waiters are not sweating over you.That boring the pants off you,my wife and I,started 2019 off by visiting our FAVORITE local Indian.We had our usual skipped popodoms,who wants a bag of crisps before dinner,Starters. . . Sheek kebab,and Chata Bashi,forgive the spelling.mushrooms in a crispy basket.Mains,King Prawn Shashleek,and Lamb Ghurst ,both gorgeous. Lots of sides,skipped the breads,One of the sides was especially nice it was a Sag Dhall, 2,bottles of Chardonnay,job done brilliant.£70,take the wine off and you couldn't get a Dominoes Pizza for the same money.My wife enquired about the Xmas period and how was buisness,and the manager said not so good,and that the steak resteraunt on the corner had closed.So take heed people, if you like Paprika as we do,SHOW YOUR SUPPORT.Well done everybody working at the resteraunt, and the new young waitress was a joy, well manneredand very helpful.Only one WHINGE. They have changed the house white Chardonnay and its not had nice has the old type.Thanks for reading hope it helps.

As title suggests the food was lovely, there was 5 of us. And everyone enjoyed every part of the meal, every dish looked really good even down to the rice. The staff were really friendly and always asking if we needed anything. The only downfall for our night was the atmosphere as we were the only table in. We will definitely be back to try again

We had an issue with a takeaway meal from here earlier on in the year whereby I complained and was sent out the full order(on a different day, free of charge). Genuinely surprised by this I thought this was a genuine attempt to rectify my complaint however the meal was exactly the same, generally tasteless although it did have some good elements the curries themselves were not great.

Visited again with my friends (a group of seven) and we were not disappointed. A great selection of different dishes, the good portions of food, tasty, helpful and friendly staff. We will be back again.

Had takeaway tonight and was the same high standard as usual, anyone who gives this place a bad review must have extremely high standards.

First time visit , Really nice looking place thought it was just a takeaway not a restaurant. Impressed.

Ordered curry for 8 on line and was told it was ready in 25 minutes. On arrival we were told as it was a big order they was no way they could cook it that quickly! He said the website host just makes up the wait time.

The last visit to this restaurant was pretty good but I think the standards have slipped a little. Our table was large, 12 people on a Friday evening, the other occupied tables could be counted on less that one hand.

First time in Workington. It was Saturday night and we fancied a curry. We were welcomed by very friendly, attentive staff and the food was excellent. We’ll definitely return to Paprika next time we’re in the area.

If you find yourself in sunny Workington then I can recommend this curry house. Food was v tasty and plenty of it, and all reasonably priced

Had a table booked for 7 people on Friday night at 7.30 and arrived on time. We were welcomed and shown to our table. Straight away staff offered us drinks and poppadums.

Ordered online and food arrived piping hot 45mins later. Great quality and taste as usual. Free delivery too!

Went here tonight with a group of 6 other friends for my birthday night. Felt like we were a bit of an inconvenience and the attitude of staff was terrible. The service was so slow took a long time for our order for food to be taken and between the starter and main even though we were the only table of people in. Staff weren’t very attentive and made us feel uncomfortable. Food was very nice but the staff let the experience down

went here a bit late in the evening around 9.30 as they were closing they offered take out .had Balti lamb and chilli chicken madras which was lovely the sag aloo however lacked flavour .but overall lovely food and friendly and helpful staff . if I ever come to this part of the world again I will definitely eat here ,

We were staying at Hunday Manor (which is a really nice hotel) and decided to go out for a meal. After looking at trip advisor we chose to go to Paprika and it didn’t disappoint. The onion bhaji’s were the best we’d ever had and the mains and naan bread was just as good. We don’t often eat out in a Indian restaurant but we’re so glad we chose this one. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Started mains and drinks (beer and a large wine) came to £44 which is a really reasonable for a meal out for two! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area

We went to paprika in a busy weekend and as soon as We came in We were greeted to waiter that was welcoming and gave us a table straight away. As soon as We sat down We were asked for some poppadoms and a drink and of course We said yes and We got our drink and poppadoms in a couple of minutes.We had a stater and a main course and it was delicious and the service was amazing. So i was on a business trip in Cumbria and i was in workington in a hotel and i asked the reception for any good restaurants here in workington and they told me that paprika is a good restaurant.so i headed over to paprika and as soon as i walked onto the restaurant i was welcome in and had got a table very quickly and at the time it was very busy and the waiter asked me if i wanted any popoadomes of course i said yes and in a couple of second i got my popoadomes it was very tasty with the sauces i got with them as well a drink. I orderd for a starter a king prawn pure and for my main course i orderd The Paprika Special as well i also orderd mushroom rice and garlic nan. Every dish i orderd was very delicious. THANKS PAPRIKA For the wonderful service and wonderful food. WHEN i next come back to cumbria i will go back to Paprika for the amazing food.

A few of my friend and me went to paprika for a night for one of my friend birthday we reserved a table of 6 and when we came in they had are table ready for us.we reserved it a couple of days ago on the phone and it was fast and very easy. We all eated a starter and main course and the service was fantastic!!!! I would Recommend this to any body for a birthday meal party or for just a meal .the waiters are very nice and friendly as soon as we sat down the waiter asked us if we wanted any popoadomes and drinks and we all said yes and we resived are popodomes and drinks very quickly. Then the waiter toke are orders and we all had different dishes and they were all delicious. I WILL COME BACK SOON Again for a wonderful time and for the delicious food.

Best Indian meal I had since I moved back up from Halifax in 1999 and I’ve tried pretty much every Indian in the area and this is the only one I’ve found that is the same quality that I was used to living in West Yorkshire

Enjoyed a family meal. Opted for Sunday deal £11.95 for starter,main,side and rice or Nan from start to finish the attentiveness of the staff was excellent. We had rezalla chicken and chilli chicken as our main and it was very good.

Last minute decision as fancied an Indian meal and save my wife cooking, so consulted Tripadvisor who flagged up Paprika.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile, great service from everyone who came to our table, even had a lovely chat with a man (who I presume was the manager). The food was delicious, so fresh and came very quickly. The restaurant was loud as there was a big group of men taking up most of the restaurant, but that didn’t ruin our experience. We were also impressed with how reasonable our meal was! When we return to this area we will definitely be returning to Paprika. We couldn’t fault our experience or the food....Thanks for a lovely meal!

I work in Workington often and on every visit I have to eat at Paprika. The food is beautiful, hot and tasty and the service is friendly and always timely. Good selection of spirits and a really nice pint too!

Sorry guys but this is a very average joint. Simple decor, slow service, cold room, the food was warm not hot as it should be and the curries themselves were thick oily sauces a bit reminiscent of Pataks sauce from a bottle.

My partner and I had a meal here on a Monday night and found the staff very welcoming and attentive. We had poppadoms and pickles to start, then tandoori chicken and tamarind chicken with all the various accompaniments and it was all delicious. The complimentary drinks to finish were a lovely surprise and so was the overall bill. Couldn't fault it. Highly recommended.

From walking through the door of Paprika on a chilly September night to being escorted to our table, there was just a genuine feeling of "welcome" about this restaurant.The food was beautifully prepared and served. The staff could not have been more accommodating and very reasonable pricing for such high quality.

My partner booked a table for my birthday and what can I say but beautiful!! Im a keen Indian fan and can be quite fussy if it's not cooked right so was chuffed when the food came and was beautiful. It cost £59 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 rice, 1 naan. A bottle of wine, 2pints of coke, 1/2 lemonade and a cocktail 10/10

We visited over the bank holiday to celebrate my daughters birthday, we have visited a few times previously, the food never disappoints, it is lovely + fresh, there is plenty to choose from I tried two dishes I hadn't had before + they were delicious! The staff are helpful + friendly we had a bit of a wait but the food is cooked to order so no complaints! Will certainly be back

Tried this place today as somewhere new to eat , food was beautiful could not fault it and the staff were very welcoming and helpful I would highly recommend it even for non curry or Indian fans as some people in our group do not like curries but there were other options on the menu like mixed grills which were just as nice as the Currys will definetly be back again soon!

We did not pay for the main courses as found a hair in the food. But did pay for drinks . We were disappointed as we have used this restaurant on several occasions. There was only 2 of us in the restaurant.

There were seven of us from a long way further south up in Workington for a night before a friend's funeral. It would appear that nobody goes out in Workington on a Monday night but we finally found one decent pub, The Green Dragon, and a very good Indian restaurant called Paprika..What a good find! We were the only people dining and so it is difficult to walk about the atmosphere of the place. However, it's bright and modern and the food was superb. We ordered a variety of starters, mains and deserts, both traditional and modern, accompanied by a mix of bottled Cobra and draught Kingfisher. Everyone of us said how much we liked our food. To top off the experience, the our waiter was very pleasant, friendly and humorous, and it all came to less than £25 a head. Couldn't fault it!

Greeted by friendly staff an shown to our table where our drinks order was promptly taken shortly followed by poppadoms and pickle tray, we took our time ordering our main meals and at no point was rushed or pestered by the staff 5 different mains ordered with various rice dishes and a plate of chips also different kinds of nan breads all the meals were vary tasty in there own right and had no complaints from any of us would definitely recommend and will definitely return

Excellent food, excellent service and excellent value for money. Pleasant location, nicely laid out restaurant with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Food was above expectation, very tasty and very well presented. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone staying in the area.Only area for improvement would be the physical menu, it had plenty of options and was laid out neatly but did not appear professional.

This is a real good quality Indian restaurant in the outskirts of Workington.The restaurant is nicely presented and has a modern feel about it, the service is friendly.The menu offers a good variation of Indian dishes as well as few I have not seen before.We have eaten at this restaurant several times now and have never left disappointed.Enjoy!

We have dined here happily several times before. 1st time for takeaway & it was lovely. 2 tasty dishes, with same quality as in the restaurant & with 15% discount was good value too. An added bonus was poppadom & pickle accompaniment .

Came here last night with friends and it was some of the best food we have ever had. Korma was delicious as well as the madras. Also the popadoms and sauces at the start were absolutely delicious!

Ordered a takeaway....absolutely disappointed with quality and taste. Opened the carrier to find the sauce that accompanies the salad and starters was in a pool covering all the trays and food due to lid not being put on properly. Both the starters and mains were cold and lacked any real taste. The starters had obviously been boxed up well before the mains due to them being soggy and sweating in the container. The only thing that was eaten from a £35 order was the nann and rice....which weren't actually too bad. I must say that the staff were pleasant enough tho when placing order and collecting it. I did try and ring to complain but phone just rang.

The food is amazing !! I have been several times & never had a bad meal !!plenty of tasty bites to share or have all to yourselves !!

We got a takeaway from here on Saturday evening. The food was cold, had no taste whatsoever & was expensive. I visited the place a few years ago & it was OK but the takeaway was awful. If we'd been eating in we'd have all sent it back. I had a vegetarian option and other family members had meat. We got side dishes, rice & starters to share they were all cold & lacked taste. We will not be returning again.

This was our first visit to Paprika and certainly won't be our last. The restaurant has nice atmosphere and the staff are welcoming, polite and very attentive. We had the sharing platter for 2 and then a chicken tikka jalfrezi and the Sikander lamb with various sides... the chicken was very nice - moist and tender and a tasty sauce. The lamb was amazing. I love the lamb dishes and in many other restaurants I'm disappointed, but not this time. It was high quality and tender... the stuff that is slow cooked and just falls of the bone... the best I've ever had. If you like a lamb dish... please try it..The only downside to the night was we were at the far end of the restaurant and it was a bit chilly as we were seated next to a doorOverall, we had a lovely night, were treated very well and it wasn't overpriced. Don't miss this place... We will definitely be back soon

We are regulars at Paprika in Workington and really enjoy it every time.The food is always fantastic, with a wide range on offer.The restraunt is clean and there is plenty of space so you dont feel too close to other parties.
