been ordering here for years. first time I've been disappointed. the chicken seemed much lower quality than normal, and the seekh kebab came completely unspiced and dry. hope this was just a blip in the usual great quality.

Order was delivered to the incorrect address not even the same house number resulting in some of our order missing . Rang up to try and resolve issue and the man was very rude said he would ring back and never did. Tikka massala was just tomato sauce and the Chicken Jalfrezi was bland with no spice. Do not recommend waste of money ,time and patience.

Delivered to wrong address, items missing and extremely rude customer service. I just got my food by knocking on a strangers door. Food quality poor, tikka masala like tomato sauce, jalfrezi bland with no spice. Couldn't be more disappointed.

Normally a great takeaway on a Thursday night, however tonight (Saturday) was very poor. Late delivery to start with and not 1, not 2 but 3 issues. 1. No mint sauce with the order as per the usual. 2. Instead if the starter I ordered I got an extra main (double main, not a bad thing tbh) 3. Instead of the garlic chilli chicken I ordered I got lamb instead! Not a great performance tonight on a Saturday… Thursdays are much better!

Lovely food as always however I’m fast losing faith in order request times. Ordered for 6.30om, arrived 5.40pm. Delivery driver has ASAP on his chit. I had a message saying estimated delivery 5.55-6.15pm…. 😡

arrived during allocated time slot. A very good amount of food for the cost and the curries were very tasty - would definitely order again.

Everything was so tasty and absolutely delicious. Something was forgotten off our order but I called and that item was delivered before we had really started our meal. Highly recommend.

Waited over an hour for delivery, Garlic Naan was forgotten, chips not very good, staff rather rude when called. Rectified and 2nd delivery rather quickly.

I used to love the food here, but I’m deeply disappointed about their service lately (for the last 2 months, considering I’m eating at least 1-2 times a week from Pappadum) not once, but numerous times I paid £1.50 extra for EACH dish to get it extra hot, and almost in every occasion was NOT spicy, or not enough. Last drop was last night when I ordered a portion of Saag Paneer and I was shocked to see that the food container was left empty. Got half of what I used to normally get. On top of that, paid £1.50 extra to have it done extra hot and surprise: dish wasn’t hot, but haven’t forgot to charge me for that. By the way is the 1st restaurant ever that I see to charge extra £1.50 to make a dish spicy, everywhere else is free of charge! Ridiculous!

Very good Indian takeaway. However, on a weekend it’s often frustrating to state a time for delivery and it’s quite often late. But understandable and I have to live with that. But today I ordered and stated a specific time, as was committed and out, but the Indian takeaway arrived a full 30 mins before it should have! Not acceptable at all, as I wasn’t ready for my tea! Delivery driver just shrugged. Unhappy. Think I will order from elsewhere in future. Unreliable.

The naan bread wasn’t peshwari it was like a small plain pizza base. The chicken tikka starter was mainly bone. We’ve had lovely food from them before but I suspect they’ve had staffing changes.

Arrived boiling hot, top marks for that, the makhani chicken is a little too sweet for me personally and the porshi chicken wasn't spicy enough and I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew it was full of spring onion, again that's just my taste. I would order again from this restaurant to see what the other curries are like.

Unable to follow simple delivery instructions, said they had delivered the order when they haven’t. No phone call. Upon ringing the restaurant I was told it has already been delivered.

A lamb tikka madras was ordered, I’m not even sure what it was that turned up. I could have cooked myself a better one with a Patak’s paste whilst blindfolded. Binned it. Never again.

Extremely tasty okra and keema naan but both the chicken jalfrezi and korai lacked flavour, spice and chicken. After such good reviews from friends I am putting this down to a one off and due to quick delivery will be ordering again

The Food was fabulous tonight!

The rice was nice as was the Chapti. I had a jalfrezi was not good. I could not eat was like a mild chicken curry onion and peppers very large chunks and not cooked will. Not spicy. Service good and delivery time ok but did not like the curry at all.

Best Indian we've had in a long time. We had my mother in law over from Belfast and it was lovely to come together and enjoy such a tasty meal. Portions, huge and flavour, phenomenal 👏 Thank you!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT. I ordered at 10:15, the food hadn't come by 11:40 so I called and spoke to someone, they said that they would call back. 15 minutes later (midnight), they phoned and put the supposed delivery driver on who said that it had been delivered and that he had evidence because of some kind of app that they use, a massive argument ensued as I hadn't received a thing so I was clearly annoyed that my complaint was falling on deaf ears and the driver was basically calling me a lier. It's annoyed me so much, particularly considering it's now too late to order anything else. I repeat... DO not buy from this restaurant!!

A massive argument ensued, where he said that he had an app that proved that he had delivered it but I didn't receive anything. I orderd at 10:15 and patiently waited until 11:40 before calling. The thing that really annoyed me was that the delivery driver had the nerve to call me a lier, spouting some crap about an app that tracks his movements. I don't know about the app they use, all I know is that Pappadum does not deliver. I REPEAT, DO NOT ORDER FROM PAPPADUM

Excellent service can't be faulted but not to my taste the curry.

Nan bread was hard and stale forgot mango chutney for was lukewarm

Curry was lovely but garlic nann bread was cold and hard.

Forgot the poppadoms! Vegetable curry was just cabbage and potato curry. Tasted good but poor vegetable selection.

We ordered food for delivery from here and phoned after waiting an hour only to be told it was out for delivery, half hour later phoned again and was told that the driver had delivered it, apparently to the wrong address, needless to say we were not happy and hungry, we asked for a refund and we have to wait up to a week to get it. This is the last time we will use this takeaway.

This is the first time we have used this take away, and will definitely use again, so tasty and lots of spices, freshly cooked, good service, prompt delivery, would definitely recommend trying there menue, lots of variety.

Amazing food great value for money

I understand they are very busy tonight but when they tell you be about a hour so when a hour comes around they tell you 40 min so I said ok but 1 1/2 later still not here eventually turns up over 2hours missing my curry so I go and collect when I paid for delivery to come home to cold food which I had to microwave, if I wanted to microwave my food I would of went to Iceland and paid £2 instead of wasting £50 maybe I should of paid cash and not by card !!!

Would not recommend or buy again, first time ordering and it took a very long time to arrive, chips cold, Nan bread cold and burnt, chicken dry, rice very dry, small black hair in tikka Masalla. probably worst Indian Iv had so far, after reading reviews I won’t bother complaining, I know It won’t go down well.

The food is superb, not the most attractive takeaway Indian food restaurant by any means. Service when ordering can be a bit hit and miss but the food is sensational. This is the only takeaway we use, the food will always exceed expectations. Forget the other restaurants in the Crownhill area, Poppadum is the best by a country mile

Pedí una comida para llevar en línea debido a la situación de la corona, la comida fue excelente, la ordené durante 1800 horas y llegó a tiempo, muy agradable conductor amable. El kebab mixto era perfecto, al igual que la charla de pollo, las madras de pollo y el chili de cordero. Una de las mejores comidas para llevar de la India que hemos tenido.

I am really pleased with the service and the quality of the food I have had. As far as my son and I are concerned the best tasting dishes. I always have home delivery, which is more convenient for me and the drivers are always friendly.

Tried their new special menu last night and it really was amazing...will definitely get it again. Very impressed..onion bhajis are really good too

The two curry’s we received tonight were very bland no flavour at all . When I called to complain the lady on the phone didn’t know what to say so spoke to the chef who then came on the phone and told me he didn’t understand he’d be a chef for 20 years and always cooked the same and I was wrong . He wasn’t very busy ... well I can understand why . Costumer service sucks will not be ordering from them again

Nice cooked food everytime I’ve visited so well worth a visit.. having come from the west mids where there are 5 restaurants/take aways to each shopping area this place can stand up to any of them

We have had two takeaways from here recently and can’t fault them . The food was tasty very flavoursome not just spicy worth paying the extra delivery charge . Have read the negative reviews but maybe a chef change could be the result of the excellent food well worth a try

Used this place many times and no complaints until yesterday ordered takeaway and it was disgusting!!!! Chicken was rotten rang straight away was not interested not even a sorry, don't know what has happened change of management etc but would not feed it to a dog. leave well alone environmental health now informed !!!

The rude lady who is usually taking multiple phone calls and puts you on hold and who also takes regular cigarette breaks at the shop front!!! recently I decided to go in and order and wait for food, ironically she was Having a cigarette out front when I arrived. When I placed my order and payed I noticed she had a plaster around her finger which was dirty and hanging off. She handled my cash, had just smoked a cigarette and with her dirty plaster hanging off went into the kitchen and was preparing food. Never again

Lovely food, asked for no salt in my wojanbati and it was really tasty , along with peshwari nan which is gorgeous. If you order this say not too much salt. Its my favourite dish. won't be disappointed. Lovely staff too.

My favourite takeaway.they do the best mushroom rice and try the Bangladeshi dishes, you won't be disappointed. Good sized portions too ( I have the leftovers for breakfast!) 😀

Ordered from here last night 1 chicken korma 1 chicken tikka masala and 2 naan bread and poppadoms. Called through my order, lady answers the phone and tells me to ‘hang on whilst I finish another order’ I wait somewhat startled. Don’t answer the phone if your not going to take the query. I thin asked for the tikka to have a bit of spice put through it so it’s a little hotter, her response ‘really!’ Can honestly say by this time I was beginning to lose patience with the lady on the phone felt like I was messing up her day by putting an order through. Food arrived was hot but not the nicest curry. Food arrived just over an hour after I placed the order. Nibana is better on every level! Possibly because they know what customer service is!

Ordered food at 8.30pm, told delivery would be at 9.30pm. Called at 10pm to find out where my food was, to be told they were waiting for the driver to come back. I told them to cancel the order as it would be way to late, only to receive a barrage of abuse down the phone!!! I was actually gobsmacked at how rude he was to me. Will never order from here again!!!

We have thought we found a brilliant local takeaway but after a few nice +average deliveries they let us down.Last time we ordered as usual and found out that bhajees were missing though they charged us a full price.We called back right away and the lady said they run out of bhajees and they tried to call our number to inform(we didn’t have any missed calls). Anyway,she said they owe us a portion when we order next time.Today we tried to order and explained the situation,the lady on the phone took the situation alright but still charged extra for bhajees!Not recommended as the staff is rude and ungrateful.

This is my local Indian take away and over the years their Indian food has been rather average. Never really bad just never that good either. Their fish and chips however is amazing and literally the best in Plymouth. Crazy how chippies get it so wrong yet an Indian take away nails it.

Lovely food and probably the best peshwari naan I have ever tasted.

Not one for writing bad reviews so just saying this as a constructive criticism.. phoned for a delivery not met with the most respectful person on the phone felt she was doing me a favour! But food came in the allotted time.. problem was, had to microwave it to get it warm.. the lamb I ordered was dry and very over cooked what you would find in a buffet restaurant that has been kept warmed for hours the rice was standard pilau rice was not only cold but the box was 3/4 full the Nan I paid extra for (as I was told buy reception ‘your gonna have to pay a pound more for that and the difference from a standard nan’ as though I’d asked for it free) when it arrived yes it was cold and needed warming through also very doughy and under cooked... I have had food here regularly and always found it very nice food don’t know what went wrong!! And at a premium twice the price of the midlands Balti Houses .. sorry guys not your usual must have a trainee night tonight !!

Ordered on line through Just Eat. Quick delivery and the young lady who delivered was a source of joy. However, shami kebab starter was so salty that I struggled to eat it.

Fuimos a través de un hechizo mediocre un tiempo porque alquilamos un nuevo chef, pero el jefe está detrás el wok ahora es todo cool de nuevo. Aprobado.

Rang up to complain as regular customers, and was greeted with a torrent of abuse! Called a liar and offered no form of compensation for a bad meal! This is the first time our meal has been bad, we weren't expecting a full refund, but something off a future order or partial refundbwould have been a kind jesture. Sadly to say after the treatment we have just received from the "Manager!" we will no longer order from here, and will endeavour to steer people away from this establishment.

Llamó para quejarse como clientes habituales, y nos recibieron con un torrente de abuso! Llamado mentiroso repetidamente y no ofreció compensación para una comida horrible! Esta es la primera vez nuestra comida ha sido mala, no esperábamos un reembolso completo, pero algo de un futuro orden o reembolso parcial habría sido un tipo jesture. Por desgracia a decir después del tratamiento acabamos de recibir desde el "director! "Se dice que lo que había recibido era imposible, ya que todo está recién preparado. El cliente siempre tiene la razón obviamente no se aplica aquí, ya no pedir desde aquí, y se esforzará para guiar a la gente alejada de este establecimiento. Os exhorto a evitar a toda costa!

Me gusta mi comida india, pero nunca he tenido una, llevar siempre comiendo en el restaurante antes. Sin embargo, uno el Sábado Mi hijo dijo que estaba pidiendo en el 'app' hambre casa una comida india de estos chicos, no quiero nada.

He usado este indio dos veces. La primera vez la comida no fue en absoluto agradable. El segundo Usé este sitio sólo porque podían entregar rápidamente y me pareció que seguramente no puedes tener 2 comidas mal en una fila. Que equivocado estaba. Había pelos en la comida. Llamé para quejarme y se negaron cualquier reembolso. Sólo nos entrega otra comida para un cargo. Realmente no quiero otra comida como encontrar pelos en la comida es bastante desagradable tener que riesgo olvídate una tercera comida comestible. Yo mi comida empaquetada y llevé a la higiene de alimentos locales del Consejo. Si quieres una buena comida india y luego ir a Nibana en Crownhill.
