20min early great however our two Saag Bhaji [Main's] had way too much salt in it this time around which was all we could taste instead of the garlic and buttery taste it normally has, apart from that everything else was superb. Thanks again Team.

Unfortunately today we were disappointed. We were missing onion bhaji. The wrong naan bread and cold chips. Normally it’s a good take away today it was not.

Ordered and was missing my Naan bread, called and they said they would send it out. Was then another half an hour before receiving my Naan bread. And the rest of my food started to go cold.

We are reasonably regular visitors to the Indian Rose on Mutley Plain. The welcome, food and service has been really good during previous visits. However, our most recent visit was disappointing. * The heating was only switched on when we arrived, so it took a while for us to get warm, but as always, the owner gave us a warm welcome. * The four of us decided to order from the 'banquet menu.' Despite us being the only people in the restaurant, we had to call the waiter over, when he failed to notice we were ready to order. Unlike the owner, he was not very friendly. * The poppadum's were good, but the tray of 'sauces/onions' was very small and was not enough for four people. * Three of us were happy with the starters and main, but one suggested that for a 'banquet', their main course was presented in a small dish. The food was good though. * The menu had stated there was a choice of deserts, but we were told only vanilla ice cream was available, by our not so cheerful waiter. This turned out to be a very small serving too. * Following meals on previous occasions, the owner has given us a free Baileys each. This waiter did not offer any and even when the owner found out we had not been offered this, the waiter argued with the owner against providing same. Most times we have been here, this restaurant has only had a few people in there. This is a shame, because overall, it is a good place to go for a curry. Despite some negative points, we have booked to go back again, as we are confident this was a one off experience, as we have not had any problems before.

Amazing food delivered hot will definitely be ordering again.

The taste and quality of the food was amazing but due to being late, it caused the food to be cold which spoilt the overall meal, I wouldn't order for delivery again.

The experience at this establishment was utterly disappointing, particularly due to the unprofessional demeanor of the staff. The ladies at the front desk exhibited a cheap and dismissive attitude, coupled with rude behavior that left a sour impression. They seemed to assume that customers were there to seek freebies, which is both insulting and degrading. Such a mindset not only undermines the reputation of the business but also reflects poorly on their training and professionalism. To make matters worse, the owner appeared to be clueless about how to handle customers effectively. Instead of addressing concerns or fostering a welcoming atmosphere, their approach felt indifferent and unhelpful. A customer visiting their premises deserves respect, courtesy, and proper assistance—not condescension or apathy. Spending money at such a place feels like a waste when the service fails to meet even basic standards of decency. The lack of proper customer service highlights a severe gap in management and employee etiquette. It’s baffling that an establishment would allow such behavior to persist without rectification. Good service is the backbone of any business, and this one clearly lacks it. In the end, visiting here feels less like an enjoyable experience and more like a regrettable ordeal. Such treatment not only drives away potential customers but also tarnishes the credibility of the establishment in the long run.

Our regular indian was closed so trying for 1st time...ordered 3 meals & every single person has said the same...looks nice but very bland with no flavour at all, it tastes nothing like indian and no spice to the spicy dish at all !! Wont redorder.

This Indian Restraint servis delicious and flavorful traditional cuisine, Unfortunately, my Rogan Josh was not spicy at all. I'm not sure if this was a mistake or if their food does not contain spice at all. The Indian Rose is decorated well, with a full laminated menue. The service I received was brilliant, and the food came quickly . However, I did witness confusion when taking other people's orders and several staff members pressing people to make an order when they were not ready. However, this hectic confusion could be all down to the fact that I came on a Friday, which is possibly the busiest time of day.. Based on my visit, I will not be returning , and I can not recommend this Indian restraint to others.

Fast Delivery, smaller than expected portions filled with just lots of onions, the chicken wings were tasty , but only 3 and a few cubes of lamb also filled with onions seemed not good value for money . The Sag main was disappointing, very bland and just tasted like watery spinach - chunks of tomato used as filler , but plenty prawns added to the dish . The standout was the wings and the naan was tasty but unlikely to reorder the same dishes from here again.

Everything was superb and arrived 25min early in total from the time window given, I've ordered many times now and the boss who I spoke to on the phone back along and his staff are always friendly and helpful I highly recommend Indian Rose.

everything tasted like cheese and soap, not a lot of variation within flavours of different dishes. could finish more than a bite of each. i got the vegetable balti, garlic rice, garlic nan and onion bites. very disappointed

I've been wanting to go to this award winning restaurant for ages & it didn't disappoint. Situated on Mutley Plain, although fairly small, there are plenty of tables and you don't feel cramped together. It is a very "Instagram-able" place with pink neon lighting & pink flower covered walls. Only downside to the lighting is that all the food & yourselves look very pink/ purply. I took a few photos of the food with a flash so the dishes look real! We booked a table for 15 and the staff were very efficient at taking our orders and gave friendly service. There is a very extensive menu, with lots of new, un-commonly seen dishes to try. Many varieties of pilau rice & naan breads. The Madu hot honey naan was crispy & delicious. Every one of our party really enjoyed their food and will be returning. We went early on a mid-week evening so the staff could cope with our large order etc. However, to help them it would be preferable if you could order in advance when booking. They also offer take-away.

Bhajis too salty to eat, my ‘dry’ dish of off the bone tandoori chicken drowning in oil, and lots of bones and bone parts. Keema rice was just basmati rice, with a few bits of lamb tikka, not mince.

My experience was a mixed one. While the host and waitresses were very nice, I feel like this papered over pretty average food. Our food took over 40 minutes to arrive to our table, and it when it did all of our rices were clumped together, as if they had been put in the microwave. The curry itself was okay but I think the wait for food and price of the meal slightly hindered the taste. There was no compensation or freebies for the wait for food, however I believe they gave freebies to customers who ordered food via online, which I found interesting. Extra charges for the dips that came with the food is something I haven't encountered before either. While the restaurant was fairly busy when we ordered our food, anything complementary would have been nice to cover for the wait. I would choose Himalayan Spice over this place for quality of food.

Popped in for a quick dinner early on a Friday evening. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the decor is nice. There is a lot of choice on the menu, including plenty of vegetarian options. I couldn’t decide what I wanted so had 2 side dishes. The food was nice, nothing mind blowing but enjoyable. Prices were comparable to other similar restaurants. Will probably return at some point.

Missing onion bajis which my daughter stayed up late waiting for as order was 35 mins late drinks were warm as were in with hot food not separate

I was disappointed after seeing the good views I thought I would try this place. It was 30minutes late and had to phone twice to try and find where my order was to get told it was on its way. The onion bhaji was cold, the other food was just hot. I didn't receive the correct items as well. On the good side the curry was nice, just wished it had been on time.

Staff do not recieve tips!! And the job is highly underpaid. I'm owed tips! I want my tips. The boss even blocked me for asking for my tips. I still.have the evidence

Can't fault the food but terrible customer services. Owner was very unfair. I was sick so unable to eat the food until too days later. I ordered on the 26th Aug and realised today (28th Aug) that they didn't deliver my Peshwari nan. At first the guy on the phone said "I can't verify the booking as it was via JustEat" then I told him it was on their website. He told me to wait whilst he serves another customer. Then all of a sudden "I can't verify it on our website as it was 2 days ago" even though I could easily give him the order number. All I wanted was a Peshwari nan, I didn't ask for a whole new meal. He then tried to fob me off and said next time order through Justeat and put it in the request box- I said to him if he can't verify now and it's been 2 days, why would they verify it if I next order in 3 months time. Makes no sense. Was trying to fob me off. Didn't want to be helpful and didn't want to compensate me a simple nan bread. Even though the food is nice, customer service will keep me going at my original place which I recommend for others in Plymouth called Cinnamon Garden Express who were closed and hence why I had to order from here. Also please note the amount of fat they put in their food...

Well this is nothing on Birmingham currys could not wait to leave a review over PRICED. Menu said thay serve a glass of wine but said no only bottle. Lamb starter was like extra gum. Chips on menu but give u fries. And no vinger had to go to counter to pay no one offered table service DONT USE THESE PPL also was dog in there

I have just called the resultant to inform them that their tandoori mixed grilled has given my partner food poisoning. There response was to laugh and say we will sort you out a discount in the future. I am disappointed in the lack of seriousness that they took in causing this can the complete lack of care or response to something so serious. Would not recommend or order from here ever again.

Another good experience... Early delivery and great food

Ordered through just eat originally, had abit of a misunderstanding on the system in regards to my order. However when contacting the store directly, the owner was very polite and apologetic and went above and beyond. He went out of his way to stay in the shop late to cook my food, adding extra freebies and offered a meal on him next time for the mix up. You could tell how much he values his customers because he didn’t have to do that. 100% recommend. Upon arrival the food was also very nice.

Literally rang the shop at 20 past 11 asked them where my food was they turnt around and said that the delivery driver is on there way still haven’t received my food absolutely shocking

Best Indian restaurant we have been to so far. By far the best butter chicken we haver had. Very lovely staff, we will definitely come back.

Usually love this Indian, and always recommend it to friends. But the curry I just had was really tasteless. Really disappointed after spending 40 + pounds.

Brilliant food and the service was amazing. Due to being low on delivery drivers, the owner himself drove our order to us and it was piping hot on delivery. There were a couple of extras thrown in as well. The food was delicious and the Gulab jamun was the best I have ever tasted!

I ordered a takeaway one evening during half term and it was the best Indian takeaway I’ve ever had. The app told us it would be late (twice!) but the owner himself came to deliver the order and ensured it was on time and piping hot at delivery. Service was great and the food was fantastic, especially the gulab jamun!

If you haven't tried it yet...you have missed out. In all our years eating indian cuisine, this is by far the best. If there were 10 stars it still would be 11. Award winning delicacy time and time again....we keep coming back.

A solo visit on an early Monday evening so not exactly throbbing with people, however I recieved a warm welcome. The decor is smart, modern and well designed without being flashy and was well laid out and pristine. What sets this apart is a collection of 'specials' and 'signatures dishes that were a nice addition and creative enough to tempt you away from your normal order. The food was absolutely delicious and appeared to be cooked with care, I enjoyed every mouthful! I also spoke to the Boss who was a great chap who impressed me with his pride and passion in what he is doing. I really recommend a visit to all curry lovers and please try one of their specials!

Recieved a delivery last night and as always hot and absolutely delicious cant rate it enough

Delivery time was prompt. Good was near on awful. The butter chicken curry was basically chicken in a paste with cream shoved on top. The saag paneer was bland and the worst one I've over had. Just overall disappointment even the poppadoms were stale. No one ate it and it ended up in the bin. Absolutely gutted that was our Friday treat and I'd of rather had a maccies. Massive thumbs down.
